Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

On my return from YTZ to EWR, I received 6 delays to my flight but staff in the airport provided no information regarding the cause of the delay and did not provide updates on the flight in a timely manner. By the time my flight was delayed a 5th time, I was stuck in the terminal. Free drinks and snacks were available, but I had to pay for a sandwich during my 3 hour wait. I have received only a C$100 travel voucher. Needless to say I won't be using it."

I flew back the next day after my flight was rebooked four times... I filed a claim for hotel reimbursement, but no responses after three days...."

Also, the flight attendants seem to be militant about everything during take off and landing (this is not a good thing). If a customer wants to land with headphones in, i do not see a problem. this seems to be a change from every other porter flight ive been on."

It should have been done earlier. 2. weather - caused the initial problem in NYC, no fault of air canada. 3. Montreal airport - Our gates were switched 3 times during the delays. Which happens, however the gate changes started at one end of the airport, moved to the other end of the airport and back to the original end."

There were 8 cancelled flights to NYC because of Toronto return scheduling conflicts resulting from runway repair work. Air Canada customer service desk was horrible."
Cons: "Flight cancelled without ever receiving any notice -- I found out when I was in the security line. Waited 1.5 hours to talk to an agent. On standby for 7 hours. No food vouchers. Air Canada agents gave very little information, didn't care at all that they had cancelled dozens of flights."

Cons: "An hour to get a gate upon landing. Unacceptable. Crew did not push passengers to get luggage stowed. They did not seem very concerned about boarding efficiently. Cup size on drinks is stingy."

Pros: "My 55 min flight ended up taking nearly 3 hours since there were about 9 people that needed to gate check their bags. Air Canada needs to figure a better way to gauge the carryon situation. People had giant bags that just couldn't fit in the overhead. Also- there were far too many people with carry one. I paid to check my bag... then got stuck with my backpack under my feet and jacket in my lap for 2.5 hours as we sat on the runway."
Cons: "To be honest, nothing specific stands out. The whole ordeal was pretty much a nightmare. We were offered some pretzels and water while we sat on the runway for hours."

Cons: "My original flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems and then agent got me in a other flight to Newark which was the last one to NY and then there was a delay of at least 1hr to take off. Most likely, I will not travel with air canada again and I'm not recommending to friends since they are always delay with their flights."

Cons: "LGA closed for wind. We sat on taxi road for 2 hours. Crew could have served more than water while we waited. No AirCanada's fault but crew should have a plan to serve the snacks/ food if we are sitting for two hours and the total flight time is 1.5 hours."

Then when I changed my flight time I had to pay double what it would normally have cost me had I booked and paid for my flight instead of using Airmiles. Why are there not more flight times to choose from in the first place when booking through Airmiles?"

Cons: "I needed assistance as I have a broken ankle. Waited, waited and waited some more for assistance. Handed off 5 times until I got to the gate. Given a seat first in the exit row and naturally had to have that changed as I could not assist others. Placed even further back in the plane. It took the full three hours plus since deplaning the Austrian Air flight to get to the Air Canada gate."
