Cons: Delayed flight for 2 hours, rude staff at the JFK airport and then v choppy flight, delayed even more by waiting for an arrival gate in FLL.Read more about Japan Airlines

Pros: Great seat, cabin crew was fine.
Cons: Too much confusion trying to just find a shower in the lounge
Pros: JAL lounge at Haneda was the best I've ever been in. The Business Class configuration is terrific -- as private as can be on an airplane, without going First. And the JAL staff, on the ground as well as in the air, are Grade A diplomats, counselors, and -- in a word -- professionals. Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops.
Cons: Security and Immigration at Tokyo Haneda is harder than at US airports, but that's to be expected and nothing that JAL can control.
Cons: one crew member did not like her job, tossed the food to you, and was not pleasant like all the others.
Cons: No additional comment
Pros: JAL flight crew were excellent and friendly
Pros: Wonderful crew
Pros: Flight attendants are so courteous and professional!
Cons: Great flight!
Pros: Leg room at seats were spacious, comfy. However , toilets could be cleaner.
Cons: This is 2 nd time I flew JAL. And food was below average. Should offer cup noodles or biscuits if pax is hungry .
Pros: The crew was very friendly and cheerful. The beverage selection was very good and the food was decent. The on board entertainment is some of the best around. The boarding efficiency of JAL is the best I have seen.
Pros: The flight crew
Cons: More space
Pros: Spacious leg room
Cons: Toilets can be cleaner . And food could be tastier with 2 choices .
Pros: From the food (dinner and lunch), to the spacious seats, to the impressive beverage selection, there is little I would change. The small touches, including coming through the cabin regularly with delicious green tea, made this a wonderful flight.
Pros: As always
Pros: We traveled with our 1.5 year old and JAL was incredibly accommodating and made our trip very enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip was smooth and provided impeccable service.
Pros: Lots of leg room in economy, flat screen, very friendly crew, and this was the cheapest direct flight to Japan I could find 2 weeks in advance!
Pros: Attentive staff. Great food. Great service. Vast improvement over Cathay Pacific.
Pros: Crew was great, just like Japanese specific hospitality. Crew clean up toilet and keep refilling toilet supply. Airplane was nice and clean. Entertainment equipment was up to date.
Cons: I could not log in in JAL website using mileage account. They said it has been maintanance mode for a while and could not tell when it would be completed. I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight....
Pros: Great service Timely departure and arrival. JAL is really punctual
Pros: Liked creative approaches with the meals, with new/different menu - some room for improvements but generally good Loved the movie selection
Cons: Found the seats hard and uncomfortable after a few hours although the leg space was more generous in economy than United/ANA
Pros: Able to watch Three Billboards, Darkest Hour, Shape of Water, Wonder, and list goes on and on.
Cons: The seats on the 787 were much more crowded than on the 767.
Pros: If I could give the crew 10 stars I'd ask to give em 20 cause they wer AMAZING. So nice and polite i enjoyed my flight so much. They wer very attentive and always smiling. Simply lovely.
Pros: As expected not overly done nor less of comfort and services. Only it was confusing that I had to move from international terminal to Domestic terminal due to first transfer was with in Domestic airport.
Cons: I have purchased Japan Airline to travel but unexpectedly I had to deal with American Air for half of my flight. God help them please. It was hell from start to finish. Japan Air, I feel sorry for you that your alliance with American Air.
Pros: customer service spoke English
Cons: 1) when my flight was delayed significantly due to weather, I was not notified until I got to the airport 2) when the same flight was cancelled, I was on hold with JAL for over an hour before I could speak with customer service\ 3) customer service could not rebook me for another flight until 3 whole days later 4) I had to look on JAL's website and inform their customer service about flight options that were somewhat sooner 5) no compensation was offered for 2 days of delays and flying out of another city (I paid for my own transport to this other city in order to make my final destination on time)
Pros: Prompt, friendly service. Clean aircraft with comfortable seats. Onboard meal for international flight.
Pros: Japan Airlines gets it right. The boarding was very calm and efficient. The attendants were working the whole flight to make the trip pleasant. Food was good.
Cons: There could have been a few more diverse choices on the entertainment channels but generally OK. The one complaint I had was that it was hot on most of the flight.
Pros: Flight attendants are all nice, polite and always smile. Good food and good entertainment.
Cons: Waited for one and a half hrs before the plane took off, almost an hr went by then they announced some minor problem with engine. Good reason but they had a/c on so cold all these times. Also I would appreciate coffee or some drink while waiting...I guess that's not possible in this case.
Pros: From check in to final destination, customer service to amenities, Japan Airlines exceeded my expectations in every regard.
Cons: The flights were everything I expected and more.
Pros: The Economy class seats had a lot of room - which is unusual for tall people ;-)
Cons: Everything. Screens were small. Leg space was little to none. Food was trrrible. I will never fly with JAL again
Pros: Quick local Flight. Left and arrived on time.
Pros: No wait time at check in, boarding on time, friendly crew, clean plane, landing on time
Cons: No online check in
Pros: My wife and I made the rookie mistake of showing up to the wrong airport in Osaka but the JAL staff helped us by transferring our reservation to a later flight so that we were still able to make our connecting flight from Tokyo to San Francisco. We're grateful to the entire staff at JAL for saving us a lot of time and money!
Pros: The courtesy and professionalism is a 10.
Cons: Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency.
Pros: Crew service responsive and helpful.
Cons: Poor vegetarian meal (mostly vegan rather than vegetarian and without condiments). Problems using entertainment screen, which would get stuck and also have to go through many steps (confirmation screen, language) to see maps each time.
Pros: The flight was smooth and the seating was comfortable.
Cons: It was an evening flight, but the cabin lights were never dimmed, so it was difficult to rest.
Pros: Entertainment was good
Cons: Seats were uncomfortable, food was terrible
Pros: Crew service is adequate. There's not much to complain about. Also I like they always put extra stuff on a table in the back, in case any passenger want to get extra between meals.
Cons: The aisle is getting narrower and narrower. I sat by the aisle, and my elbow sometimes got in the way inadvertently or unintentionally.
Pros: We were numb from a long flight over the ocean. Pleasant flight with helpful crew, and it helped that some of them knew English.
Pros: I have gotten used to long flights on various American airlines where it seems the staff do the minimal amount. Service is so incredibly better on Japan Airlines. Staff respond when you ask for assistance. They smile and work with the passengers. They were actively present almost all the time which was amazing. There is just no, "no," on Japanese Airlines. I loved the media options.
Cons: It has been a while but the food was not as good as I remembered from way back when, or maybe that was Korean Air? It was, however, hot when it should be hot and cold when it should be cold.
Pros: There was a huge amount of new and classic movies to chose from to pass the time. The crew was friendly and professional. The food was decent. I like the variety of food choices and some of the dishes were delicious (salmon and rice). The seats are pretty comfortable. They aren't great for sleeping in, but the flight was decently quiet and dark for some time. I would recommend bringing a pair of earplugs and a neck pillow.
Cons: The bread could be better. I would have the bread be softer and warm. A warm croissant as a substitute would be amazing. The butter could be softer (like margarine) so that way it can actually be spread onto the bread.
Pros: Clean :)
Pros: on time and excellent service
Cons: a bumpy ride compared to our flight from NY to Japan
Pros: The flight's timing and airports are perfect for a short weekend getaway between Seoul and Tokyo. JAL service is also perfect!
Pros: The personnel from JAL was excellent as was the flight, food, boarding and comfort.
Cons: We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!
Pros: Excellent service by JAL check-in people and the flight crew. Also, for a standard economy seat, I found the seat spacing and resulting legroom was generous - and I'm 6 ft. tall.
Cons: Can't think of anything, really.
Pros: The crew and service.
Cons: No entertainment. No snack either.
Pros: Everything from delicious Japanese cuisine to attentive and courteous customer service from ground crew to flight crew greatly impressed our family. Being able to fly to Haneda is even better. We plan to fly JAL from now on.
Pros: Crew members were very nice. All staff members definitely embodied the courteousness and professionalism of Japan. The house slippers were a nice touch and we really enjoyed the large movie selection. The miso soup with meals was great! Overall really enjoyed our flying experience with jal and would fly with them again.
Cons: The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight.
Pros: JAL is curteous and professional. They had a flight attendant dedicated to helping me and my infant daughter and provided bassinet and assitant with luggage during the flight. Totally different experience from American carriers like United who treat you like cattle. I hope I can fly with JAL again soon. They are incredible. I was super satisfied.
Cons: Great flight, great flight staff.
Pros: Awesome crew
Cons: Old seating
Pros: Crew service is good!
Cons: The seat is really cramp and tight!!
Pros: Comfort as usual
Cons: No idea
Pros: Excellent crew!
Pros: Great customer experience is what look for in any service, ANA delivers this in abundance.
Pros: The crew was wonderful. Polite and professional. The meals were very good for economy class.
Cons: The seats felt like there was no padding in the seat. The back was fine.
Pros: Crew on ANA is always the best Also custom check in was amazingly fast, I went to the side custom check in by accident (there are two) It took less than 5 minutes, I didn’t not know I had to fill another card to leave japan but it was super easy as there was a person to guide me + basic info
Cons: Other than chairs being more comfortable nothing really
Pros: There was lots of leg room. Crew was nice.
Cons: One of our seats had a broken recliner button.
Pros: The staff of ANA are so friendly and accommodating. When checking in, the woman at the counter moved me to a window seat from the middle, free of charge. They were very patient and helpful.
Cons: The food was a little strange, I had salmon and rice as “breakfast” with iceberg lettuce side salad. The pieces of salmon were little shreds with a funky taste. Not bad, but not what I wanted on a long red eye flight. Also I wish there’d been more Hollywood movie selections.
Cons: A pair of babies wailed and cried for almost the entire 10 hour flight. Was this ANA’s fault? Of course not, but they could’ve suggested to the parents ways to help with their children.
Pros: Attentive and friendly service, good food, fairly spacious seat.
Pros: Staff was great!
Cons: Food wasn’t the best.
Pros: The flight was late checking in. The staff handled the situation well and kept the passengers informed.
Pros: The cabin crew was great in services
Cons: Priority not thought
Pros: I enjoy ANA and choose to fly with them, normally a good flight
Cons: All our issues were another passenger, not ANA’s fault
Cons: Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline...
Pros: Their service
Pros: Service, staff, and food were all above-average as compared to other companies with whom I've flown
Cons: Spacing was a little bit cramped, and side-to-side leg-room was so cramped that my neighbor fell asleep, spread his legs and suddenly had no where to escape. Made sleeping difficult/impossible.
Pros: I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown.
Cons: Only the fact that we had to take a bus to the aircraft at Haneda, but the gate agents made it very easy for us.
Pros: Nice 777 plane, good snack
Pros: I got a great value for money ticket from KAYAK, TQ!! ANA is an excellent airline, better service, better leg rooms and cuter crew members than than SQ!!
Cons: In flight meal could be improved
Pros: The in-flight entertainment is fantastic, always loaded with new movies to watch. The same free drinks (beer/wine/etc)
Cons: The boarding was terrible. They called for groups, asked everyone to form 2 lines, but after the lines were formed, closed one boarding lane. Some people were late to board for first-class, causing even more boarding delay and chaos. There were 5 crew at the boarding gate just standing and watching. I selected a seat closer to the rear of the cabin, which received much worse attention than any other flight with ANA. I didn't get asked for a drink until very late, and the second time around there were almost no drink selections available. My seat was also broken and would not recline. Aside from the actual airline, the passengers in the rear were very inconsiderate. There was a big family with several children running around/crying/playing with seat-back trays the entire 11+ hour flight. Again, this is not entirely the fault of the airline, but it was a discomfort.
Pros: From start to Finish from ticketing to baggage claim we received Premier Customer Service !!!!!
Pros: Good service
Cons: baggage was broken.
Pros: ANA use the Boeing 787 for this leg of the journey. This is the best plane flying in the air right now.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: I like the cup holder ring and the coffee stirrer. Blanket thicker than United’s.
Cons: It really has nothing to do with ANA per say. The check-in counter at LAX was unpredictable. I felt sorry for the elderly Japanese who had to wait for the counter to open
Pros: It was short.
Cons: Two key issues: 1. Split up seating 2. Required to pick up and check baggage with limited time due to customs check. 1. They split up all four of our seats (despite booking more than 30 days in advance). Our seven (7) year old daughter was by her self. So was our fifteen (15) year old son. When we addressed it to baggage check (part of major issue number 2), they put two seats together, across an aisle, with both children in them. We obviously just sat one of the adults with the seven year old. This was not just us. SEVERAL families had children seated alone and spread all over the plane. ANA needs to require grouped seating for children under thirteen (13) years old with an adult. 2. Tokyo Haneda is the only airport I can think of where I have to pick up and check baggage again just to clear customs. The flights were 1 hour and 45 minutes apart. With nearly an hour dedicated to getting baggage claimed and getting through customs, we barely had time to fix two of our split seats (see issue 1) and rush via a free bus route that took 6 minutes (luckily we were first stop) to get us to domestic terminal 2. We were then lucky again because we made it through security quickly and our gate happened to be right next to the security check we chose. Another side piece: Haneda Domestic Terminal 2 has four security check areas (A-D). We saw no identifying marks indicating which were closest to which gate. Our bags have already been through a bag check process. Feel free to run them through security scans. Don’t make us wait to collect them just to walk them through the customs desk and check them again.
Cons: Seats in economy were narrower than Eva Airlines
Pros: Seats and service
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Staff were very nice. Very fast service as well.
Cons: Seats were a bit uncomfortable
Pros: Ease of boarding; large overhead bins; relatively comfortable seats
Cons: Packed plane - every seat taken
Cons: seat labeling not clear
Pros: The crew is awesome and food is quite good
Cons: Seat is terrible it's more like domestic flight than international, boarding is terrible because we have to take a bus by standing from terminal to flight
Pros: The meals were delicious. Japanese option was a seafood bento and breakfast grilled whitefish. Tasted fantastic and well presented.
Cons: The premium economy seat was about average. Comfort okay but not the best for sleep.
Pros: Great service
Cons: Film selection is ok.
Pros: Incredible service
Pros: Free alcohol on international flights is always a plus.
Cons: The movie selection was not as expansive as I've seen previously.
Pros: The crew was very friendly and attentive. The food was generous and very good
Cons: There really wasn't anything I didn't like
Pros: High quality fit out, amazing flight crew, great food.
Cons: Movie selection could be greater.
Pros: Meal from KUL to HAN was tasty. The separation of the gravy based dish from the rice was a great idea to prevent the soak up. Personal touch screen responsive and quality definition.
Pros: My 96-yr-old father was given an airport wheelchair after we checked his own transport chair. He was wheeled through security and to the departure gate. We were advised they changed us to a bulkhead row w/an unoccupied seat adjacent to his. Twice during the flight one of the flight attendants came to tell him that she would help him off the plane so to wait for her after the rest of the passengers disembarked. The meal was very tasty.Chicken karaage was not crispy but I wouldn't expect it to be. The rest of the items were well seasoned with the right consistency. Dessert was a flan custard with passion fruit sauce (very Hawaii!), even including a few seeds from the fruit as garnish.
Pros: I slept most of the way home so didn`t use the entertainment.
Pros: crew was very polite and everything was smooth.
Pros: ANA staff are generally well trained (but are you really allowed to land with your laptop open on your lap as some people were?) ... good service overall, good movie selection, food varies from OK but boring to very good indeed .
Cons: Both meal A and B selections would have caused problems for people with shellfish allergies. One was a seafood doria so they have me the other meal. The other had a sauce with seafood extract in the ingredients. I can read Japanese so didn't eat it, but there wasn't any English information on it.
Pros: The crew were fantastic and the meals were pretty good
Cons: Every time I'm on an airplane I'm seated next to several really sick people.. I know this isn't something you can control but it really reduces the comfort any healthy individual can have. I also didn't like the really long delay for the baggage after the flight. The on flight movie selection had not changed on the return trip which was 16 days later.
Pros: Modern planes Clean planes Great flight attendants Comfortable seats in economy
Pros: Reliable service, clean cabin
Pros: Price is good
Cons: The food can be more improve
Cons: Rather long wait at business check-in, friendliness there ok, on board service slow with the champagne, old aircraft with old configuration of seats, nothing really bad, but it's not like this that you win an airline of the year award!
Pros: The crew was very polite and very helpful. Boarding process was smooth and easy, however, the Singapore airport has security checks at every gate prior to boarding. This meant that after clearing this security process at the gate, bathrooms were not available until after boarding the flight and drinking water stations were not easily found in the secure boarding area. The aircraft was comfortable, menus were distributed early so that meal options could be made with full information in advance. The food was good and made available at routine intervals.
Cons: On a 14 hour flight, staying well hydrated is very critical and difficult. It would have been nice for the crew to make more frequent trips through the cabin to offer just water refills to keep passengers hydrated and reduce plastic cup usage.
Pros: Wonderful trip, Super nice Crew , perfect meal , great entertainment system
Cons: Can not be topped up
Pros: The crew was really nice. The plane was clean and comfortable.
Pros: Amazing services and foods
Cons: The business class seat was great
Cons: Nothing comment.
Pros: I like all
Pros: Everything. New plane amazing food on a two hour flight Great new entertainment system on the seat back.
Cons: A little more leg room.
Cons: Flight way too cold
Cons: Seat space could be wider for working
Cons: Transit time is good for way too tight
Cons: Everything. Singapore Airlines had a great reputation. Imagine my disappointment. It was a horrible flight. The crew was nice enough, but inattentive. The food, if such a term may be applied here, was inedible. Just vile. In flight entertainment was a complete joke. Boarding was awful, but it always is. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. This racket is the ultimate way to rip somebody off of $1000. Horrible.
Cons: The layover in Singapore was a nightmare with insufficient hotel accommodation, nothing but Asian food and overly officious security staff.
Pros: Singapore Airlines delivers as always. Friendly crew and clean and well maintained aircraft.
Pros: USB and plug for every seat, reasonable leg space and leg rest, good food choice and very attentive crew.
Cons: No negative points
Pros: Food, service
Pros: Clockwork prompt
Pros: I liked the food that was provided and the range of entertainment is up to date anencephaly plentiful, spoiling you for choice. The flight crew were very friendly and prompt to serve which was amazing
Pros: Cabin crew was top notch - even in coach they could not be more accommodating and customer friendly. US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!
Cons: That my flight had to end and I know my next US airline flight won’t come close to this kind of experience! Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!
Pros: Singapore has always been my preferred airline because they give excellent service, excellent food and the crew are very polite. aircraft new and comfortable, I finally had a flatbed
Cons: the call button did not work the tray table was almost impossible to pull in and out (BC)
Pros: Excellent attention to service and comfort.
Pros: Nice and attentive crew
Cons: Seat in the economy class is cramped and although the movie selection is quite ok, but the lack of touchscreen is quite annoying
Pros: check-in, priority lane, BKK-SKL, boarding, crew, cabin, disembark, baggage claim to cab home
Cons: baby crying throughout the flight
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Very poor on board entertainment
Cons: Delayed 2 hours behind schedule
Pros: Everyone was very attentive and nice. The leg room is decent .
Cons: Some of the food didn't taste amazing, would've like maybe a different choice other than salmon or curry pork
Pros: business seats were excellent
Cons: all was good
Pros: Business seats were excellent
Cons: All was good!
Cons: Crew woke me up from deep sleep to raise seatback for meal service. Sleep versus food?? Should prioritise sleep every time on night flights.
Pros: friendly and attentive crew. connecting flight was a breeze. well worth the price.
Pros: I’ve flown with a lot of airlines in every class. This was an economy class flight and still the food was better than I’ve received in business class on American. The seat was comfortable, the entertainment options varied and extensive and the cabin team were amazing. They clean the bathrooms between uses. Seriously how do other airlines still exist?
Cons: No free upgrade? ;-). But that’s unreasonable. I love this airline having not flown with them for 4 years I don’t understand why!
Pros: crews were helpful
Cons: nobody suggested me about $20 discount coupon card . I could have enjoyed my meal free while waiting in teansit.
Pros: Amazing service and comfortable lay flat bed
Pros: Wonderful and warm crew made me feel at home. Loads of entertainment but best of all, comfortable seat/bed allowed for a goodnight's sleep!
Pros: I like the personal TV, my foot rest and water holder frequent water serve,
Cons: For me coffee is too strong, and I like the food on the way to Tokyo better than on the way back to LA
Pros: Efficient courteous and attractive crew. Good food drink selection and great entertainment system.
Cons: Unfortunately the plane was an older 777-200 with smaller TV screens but otherwise fine.
Pros: All went great
Cons: I liked all - end to end excellent service
Pros: Everything was outstanding. The cleanliness of the airplane, the food, the friendliness of the crew, I just can't say enough good things about my experience flying on Singapore Airlines.
Pros: Great service and very friendly staff.
Pros: The entertainment 100s of movies & Shows The very good portions just right
Cons: Boarding is very efficient and well organized But when it is going to be an hour late the passengers should be told not stand there on lines with no information
Pros: Crew and boarding were efficient
Cons: Choice to have meal immediately after takeoff or just before landing. I chose to have it just after take-off but didn't expect not to have any breakfast. Not fun leaving the plane hungry.
Cons: The food was very poor indeed, the entertainment system was not working in my seat or the seat behind, I had to move to another seat
Pros: As usual, plane is in good shape and crew are well trained. Nothing wrong with all the basics, but Singapore Air has definitely lost its lustre.
Cons: For heaven's sake, please don't announce a boarding procedure and then not follow it. If you want to have a free-for-all rugby scrum to get on the plane, so be it. But don't announce boarding by rows/groups and then not make even a lame attempt to adhere to it.
Pros: Did not enjoy the vegetarian menu -cold noodles not appealing. Alcoholic drinks very hard to obtain .. orders taken but not received. Service was friendly though
Pros: Service is amazing! I loved that airplane had Christmas decorations on the walls and great choices of food and beverages.
Pros: Always great and efficient service. Comfortable despite the limitations of the plane itself (don't particularly like Airbus planes).
Cons: Wish the food could have been better and the choice for dessert wider.
Pros: Overall, the staff managed well the extra challenge of shutdowns and restrictions introduced by COVID. No complaints from me!
Cons: Honestly, Bangkok Air is one of my preferred regional carriers. "Normally" the food served is tasty, the plane is comfortable and the staff quite efficient. I have travelled a lot in my life and if there was a shortfall, would say so. Then again, I don't nitpick what professionals need to do to accomplish their jobs.
Cons: Trat a great little airport .
Pros: Nothing much to like about the flight. The only good thing was the boarding process probably. The Airport Staff was helping people to get to the connecting flight.
Cons: A lot of things could have been better. Crew: The crew failed to maintain a peaceful experience for a few people. There were people playing movies/videos on speakers and the crew didn't ask the passengers to stop it. They ignored it. Flight: The biggest blunder the flight created was unloading 21 check-in bags in order to save on some fuel logistics. More than 12 hours passed since landing, and there's still no tracing available for the bag. No in-flight entertainment. Food: Food was decent. Good for a cheap flight.
Pros: well organized no hassle at check in
Cons: Cabin to old and seat already damaged :(
Cons: Pilot (well, first officer more likely) was rudder and trim happy, not the best on takeoff, cruise, or landing.
Pros: Easy all round
Cons: Great meal service! Seats very comfortable and lots of leg room. Highly recommend ++
Pros: Great service, courteous crew.
Pros: All Ok
Cons: Everything ok
Cons: Very delayed flight and bag was lost!
Pros: I understand that Jet Airways has its own problems to sort out. Nevertheless, I think they make an excellent effort to make sure that passengers are comfortable and looked after well. All in all, while standards may have dipped a bit over the years, I'd still fly this airline, simply for their staff, who I have always felt were warm and courteous. Always.
Cons: Still can't figure why they would use a 737. Why not deploy the newer aircrafts on international routes. That way, I can avail of their in-flight entertainment on my mobile or tablet, if I could only recharge it onboard. Just minor grouses, but still grouses.
Pros: transfer at Suvanabum Airport - Male - Bangkok - Phuket easy and convenient as transit is used
Cons: boarding at Male was confusing as gate changed without getting notice and there was a delay of 20 minutes ... as well as at Phuket without announcement
Cons: On arrival to Chiang Mai our bags were missing. Lady confirmed it was left in Bamgkok, very polote lady. But after the bags got dropped off, there was a notice of it being discoloured from being scraped and damaged. It also has a bad stench amell on it and am very disappointed that this happened. A glass item broke in the bag but this my problem as wasnt properly sealed but goes to show the very rough handly my luggage had. Would be in question if we use Bangkok Air if this is a typical situation. We hope something is compensated for this mishap.
Pros: Very efficient handling of everything. Even some food and cols and hot drinks were served. Arrived to bangkok 10 min. early.
Pros: I was given a free pass to wait in the dedicated lounge where there was good Wi-Fi and a selection of free food and drinks. The boarding was friendly and efficient and the flight both left and arrived early. The seats were comfortable on this small plane (only 4 seats a row). As the plane was small there was no in-flight entertainment. It wasn't missed.
Pros: Much better experience than your average domestic American airline carrier.
Pros: Free food and snacks, good service. No complaints
Pros: Great food on such a short flight. Friendly, helpful crew.
Cons: Flight was delayed, owing to late incoming flights. Problem was updates of new time were not available.
Pros: flew Bangkok Air 3 times on my Thailand trip and was very pleased with all flights. Very surprised they served a full meal on ALL flights, the flights were short (barely an hour) but they were able to serve the entire plane and clean up with plenty of time to spare. Food was pretty good.
Pros: All good
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Cons: Delays meant we were late for appointments
Cons: Neither British Airways or my travel agent were able to solve problems created by British Airways 2 delayed flights meaning I could not make the meetings for the trip was planned and therefore I missed the flights and the meetings. Both British Airways and the Travel Agent said the other party were the ones to solve the problem
Pros: Process of boarding bags and onto the flight was super quick.
Cons: There was a little turbulence that lasted a few minutes and so they cancelled in flight meals meanwhile the air crew continually walked up and down the isle during the entire flight, at the end of the flight, NOR AIR passed on to passengers a 90ml bottle of water. Absolute no air conditioning in the cabin whilst we all sit ready for take off for 10 minutes and it's 37 degrees outside. No consideration for the well fair of it's passengers at all other than showing us the evacuation procedures. This flight company doesn't do the minimum to look after their passengers.
Pros: Food questionable but crew friendly
Cons: Had to bus it to the terminal at BKK
Pros: Flight attendants were great. Friendly and efficient. The food was okay for airline food. I would travel with this airline again.
Cons: The seats are very tight. No leg room at all. If you are a normal to bigger sized person your knees will be touching the seat in front of you. Hopefully the person does not recline their seat...yipes!
Pros: Bangkok air is easy to use we love the Airport Lounges free for all passengers.
Cons: The web site is undependable. It took 3 tray when I booked my tickets, Later We tried to do online check in and pay for extra luggage, (suposed to be a 20% discount) for 3 days before leaving and it would not complete the requests. Kept saying server terminated connection. When I checked at the Airport I told them and they would not do any thing. like extend a discount on extra luggage. Sorry Cannot...... All the Thailairlines play games with extra luggage and sadly it seems BKK Air does now too... Still better then NOK or Air asia
Cons: Food diabolical outward journey and return . Totally terrible in every respect not one positive thing to say quite possibly worse airline food ever experienced
Pros: Great quick flight, flight was delayed and had to run to catch our international connection to Shangai. Overall was good.
Pros: Excellent customer service, and a fun jewel box of an airport.
Pros: The service, baggage allowance, and food were unmatched by other carriers. Could not have been more pleased. Flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, and Phuket to Bangkok.
Pros: Service is outstanding polite and friendly crew. Professionalism at its best during confrontations, Cheers!
Cons: Rude passengers, Apparently loud and discurtious chinese nationals do not know how to be polite, talk softly or behave in public, sad!
Pros: BA did give us food vouchers and they have a worn but reasonably stocked lounge at CNX for all their customers. Also provide a meal on a 1 hour flight. Staff is always friendly and courteous.
Cons: Flight delayed 4 hours, they may have offered options if asked but we decided against asking so others with connections or important plans could do so.
Pros: Budget airlines don't handle problems well - delays due to weather (I'm guessing - the usual explanation of "late inbound aircraft was offered) mean endless hassle.
Cons: Unreliability. Delays. Cheapness.
Cons: It is only a short flight. Thus, there is no entertainment content.
Pros: On our trip to Thailand, we flew Bangkok Airways 3 times, Bangkok-Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai-Phuket, Phuket-Bangkok. Each flight was on time, the crew was friendly and professional. They even fed us on each flight, a couple of which were barely over an hour! And I mean real food, not just a bag of peanuts or pretzels! In addition, there was a lounge for passengers that served coffee, soft drinks and snacks before the flight, and provided free WiFi. Finally, no hidden fees! Reminded me of flying US airlines domestically, about 30 years ago!
Pros: The staff was very helpful and professional, the flight was pleasant and there were no problems.
Cons: We boarded late due to the excessive rain, so that was stressful because I was connecting in Bangkok. There were only signage and announcements for the flight before ours that would be leaving from that gate, which was very confusing because its changed boarding time for Hanoi was our original boarding time for Bangkok. I would have preferred clarification about how the flights had changed and what the new protocol would be.
Pros: - Service staff - Meal on board - The fit of time for layover
Pros: Full breakfast on an extremely short flight. , Could teach Qantas a thing or to !
Pros: Very spacious and comfortable seats, great service, good food.
Pros: Easy, quick boarding. Comfortable seats
Pros: Attendants etc were friendly and helpful. There was food service, even on a very short flight, and it was good, certainly in comparison to US airlines.
Cons: The outgoing flight was delayed. You have to take a bus out to the plane or walk, depending on the airport. Actually, that wasn't bad, but did take extra time.
Pros: Loved the lounges. Appreciated the complimentary food and drinks in both the lounge and during the flight
Pros: The crew is always very professional and friendly. The meals were surprisingly good for less than an hour flight. That being compared to other airline meals. The flight from koh samui to bangkok had a complimentary snack and non alcoholic beverage bar that was a nice touch, as well as free wifi while waiting on the flight. The seats have really good leg room (my husband is 6' 5" and his knees had an inch) in economy, which was a very nice break from air china. All our flights were about an hour so can't mention long haul flights but we loved bangkok air so much, will always book them from now on. It is a budget airline but we were very pleasantly surprised.
Cons: The boarding times usually run about 5-20 minutes later than the ticket says, but take off was right on time so can't complain too much.
Pros: Within a short 50 minute flight to Phnom Penh from Bangkok they managed to seve a delicious hot meal with wine (or beer, tea and/or coffee). Great service, friendly, efficient, and on time, and very competitively priced. Also it was virtually a new Airbus A320. My new favorite airline.
Cons: no entertainment, but was a very short flight so ok
Pros: Cool turboprop plane! Friendly crew. Made it possible for o change the flight despite agent booking error.
Cons: Kosher meal was a bunch of fruits. We didn't order it but replaced a Jewish couple on the flight when we got on standby. Felt bad that they would have just gotten fruits rather than a savory meal. Leg room was a bit tight but that's what you get with a small plane.
Pros: Our flight went very smooth. The crew members were genuine and truly made every effort to make sure everyone was comfortable. Great flight.
Pros: The food was decent, and the aircraft itself was comfortable. The aircraft is older, so no individual video screens or entertainment.
Cons: Rude staff, out of 4 flights in 10 days, the closest one came to being on time was "only" 30 minutes late.
Pros: The crew was awesome and extremely attentive! Thank you so much!
Cons: I thought everything went very smoothly!
Pros: It didn't crash.
Cons: Food. Temperature. Toilet. Humidity in the cabin. All were the worst.
Pros: Asiana does it all right! Easy check in, great cabin crew and aircraft to tasty food (especially their Korean choices) and service level
Cons: I think Chinese people just don’t like Americans.
Pros: seat food and cabin crew
Pros: Great food, nice crew.
Cons: We had reservations for 3 persons. When we arrived, we were required to upgrade (90,000 yen total) in order to be seated together. We made the reservation 2 months earlier. Seems like it would have been possible to put us together.
Pros: Crew was amazing
Cons: They lost my luggage
Pros: I liked that I was able to get back home.
Cons: Everything. There was no organization when boarding, the crew denied me food when I woke up from my nap. Not foreigner friendly at all. The crew was not attentive and I needed to keep calling them for service. Not mindful that this is a long trip.
Pros: Such a pleasant flight compared to the 3 other flights I had taken on this trip. The crew were friendly and food was delicious!
Pros: The flight was great. Very comfortable chairs. Wonderful lunch. professional service Alex
Pros: Superb business class seats
Cons: Entertainment (movie) choices could be better.
Pros: The new aircraft A380 was so comfortable.
Cons: Looks like the crew weren’t pleased with their job. Poor selection for the Hollywood movies. With such a nice aircraft would expected much better service.
Cons: not enough movie choices. Flight delayed 30 minutes, had to deplane on tarmac & ride shuttle bus to terminal, waited 30 minutes for luggage causing passengers from another flight arriving later to get taxis first so had to wait another 30 minutes for available taxis.
Pros: The fruit was good unfortunately the fruit was about all I could eat because my booking didn’t show there would be food and I couldn’t request a special meal
Pros: Staff and flight crew all very nice and profressional and attentive; bags arrived at final destination - no issues with missing luggage
Cons: Another delay from icn to bkk, No meal on this 6hr flight! Catering issue, so no dinner... just a pack of peanuts, literally. Seats very uncomfortable in economy, lack cushioning
Pros: Upgrade to business class
Cons: No alcohol
Pros: Over all everything was great except for the above complaint
Cons: I basically don’t eat rice for breakfast. I food choices could be updated to accommodate those that don’t eat rice as a First meal of the day or Americans passagers. Over all the flight was excellent.
Cons: Old aircraft, seats uncomfortable, not much better than economy class. Rick
Pros: The food was excellent.
Cons: The seat back wasn’t comfortable.
Pros: Service and food
Cons: Old style seating arrangement Many young kids in business?
Pros: Same comfort as my flight from Honolulu to Seoul.
Cons: The technology of the in-flight entertainment console. Outdated and less movies to choose from.
Cons: Flight was frigid.
Pros: Great Staff from check-in, gate & flight crew
Cons: The Meal: Should have had the Chicken instead i had the Beef Cheeks, What the hell are Beef Cheeks? If it doesn't look tasty i'm not usually going to eat it. The rest of the meal was great.
Pros: They served grewl twice I thought I was getting grewl with road kill to eat
Cons: The food and seemed like one of the lady's working there did not like her job
Pros: Great service and meals
Pros: Very speedy check-in. Great airport. Boarding was quick as well.
Cons: Food was okay, but chicken was too greasy.
Pros: The food and service were very good. Each of the crewmembers I encountered was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also enjoyed the food, and for the first time in my life I think I said "no thank you, that's enough"!
Cons: first, although this was an international trip , in business class, the seats were more like something you would find in the premium economy section of other airlines. They were tired and outdated. Second, The entertainment package was abysmal. Basically, you were forced to watch a TV with bad reception, and no ability to choose what you wanted to see other than flipping through the channels and seeing what was already on. That meant never seeing the beginning of a movie. The picture quality was very poor. Although an international flight of seven hours duration, it felt more like a charter bus to Vegas buy a discount operator. I have the exact same experience flying from Korea to San Francisco on a prior trip. If I could learn how to determine which aircraft I would be flying in the future, I would never book an international trip on Asiana knowing that this particular aircraft would convey me.
Pros: The service was top-notch, and so was the food. On my flight from San Francisco to Korea, things were just fine, Though I wish I had the window seat that was actually adjacent to the window, and not separated from the window by a desk/table arrangement. Aside from that, everything was grand.
Cons: The flight from Korea to Bangkok was a different story. The seats resembled those you would find in premium economy on other airlines. While the food and service were good, the entertainment was abysmal. Basically, you were watching TV with poor quality reception and no ability to choose what you wanted to watch other than flipping through the channels to see what was already on. Although this was nearly a seven hour international flight, The entertainment package felt like something you would encounter on a cheap charter bus to Vegas. If I knew this was the aircraft I would be taking, I would never have booked on Asiana. The flight to Bangkok was really substandard.
Pros: The leg room and comfort of the seat were noticeably different from other airlines. I enjoyed this flight on the 777 much better than my return flight on an A330.
Cons: The screen for the individual entertainment system was extremely small. The one on the A330 was much bigger and better. Also, the limited choices of in-flight entertainment were disappointing.
Pros: As a clothing professor at a university, I really liked the flight attendants uniforms. Very classy!
Cons: Not being able to speak Korean. Good thing they understand English.
Cons: Old plane, Boeing 777, LCD screens need updating, otherwise everything was great
Pros: I am on the plus size and I always have a hard time choosing an airline that would be comfortable for my size. Its was my first time to fly with Asiana and I was so impressed with how generous their seat space is.
Cons: Food is not the great
Pros: The price: my round trip ticket from Tokyo Haneda to JFK was only 850USD The layover is only 2 hours which is bearable and enough time to find the boarding gate and a little shopping.
Cons: Everything else. You can check-in online within 48 hrs before your flight, but there is no QR code produced on their app for paperless check-in. The food was terrible, and the seats were not made for long flights. I really felt the "economy" vibe. They only provide disposable slippers, but everything else you need to check the lavatories if there were toothbrushes or mouthwash packets left. Overall, I will still consider flying this airline for any emergency flight back to the US, but if there will be a compeittive airline, maybe i'd try another. Their business class seem enticing.. maybe comsoder it too.
Pros: A friendly professional crew
Cons: Food could be better. Was comparatively less quality.
Pros: Great service
Cons: Dirty plane, floor and table were not cleaned
Cons: Poor front desk service From ANA, poor entertainment system of seat delaied landing.
Pros: The food was good, and the crew was friendly. Boarding was on time.
Cons: No leg room, no in flight entertainment.
Pros: Everything was great. Asiana is a Top-2 Airline in Korea no debate
Pros: A good services and food selections
Pros: Flight attendant are smiling&friendly...nice landing.
Cons: Tv old model...screen very small...hard to operate....very tiny letters...seats are uncomfortable for 16 hours flight Seoul to Chicago...
Pros: Nice enough crew.
Cons: Terrible food. It is a waste. Better not to have it at all or just give some good snacks. Aircraft seemed unclean and old.
Pros: Asiana staff are not trained in medical issues such as what to do when a passenger complains they are feeling weak from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia conditions. It is common for people with low blood sugar to have blood sugar drops while flying. The condition is dangerous if not handled properly but can be remedied very easily by simply increasing a passenger's intake of protein (such as chicken or beef) and carbohydrates, such as rice (but not white bread or deserts, as those cause spikes and drops in blood sugar). Basically, you only need an extra meal. I told a crew member about my condition and said I simply needed a second meal. She gave me a problem about it and at first refused. She understood the English words low blood sugar, but she was obviously not trained in that common issue. I was ready to pass out due to a drop in blood sugar and only when I threatened to file a lawsuit in a U.S. court against Asiana (as I anticipated passing out) did she react. Within a few seconds after I mentioned a potential lawsuit, she got me a second meal of chicken and rice. I ate it and the protein and carbs stabilized my blood sugar for the rest of the flight. It's a problem easily remedied but I had to argue with the flight attendant to grant my very simple but very necessary request. Asiana needs to comply with the norms of global carriers and train its staff to understand such comment conditions as low blood sugar. U.S. and European carrier understand this condition very well, and their crews are trained in how to handle it by simply giving extra food. Asiana needs to comply with modern, global norms.
Cons: If you have low blood sugar dont take Asiana. Crew not trained in this simple medical issue.
Pros: Service in the flight was excellent. The seats are spacious and plenty of keg room. Staff very attentive.
Cons: Difficulty at the check-in counter. The attendant was not familiar with processing US citizens flying from London to other countries. Given I live abroad. Required a supervisor to clarify the situation as well as additional military credentials. Additiinally difficulty with carry on luggage weight. Supervisor stepped in and addressed the issue properly thus saving me $149 for a carry on bag the attendant wanted to change me
Pros: I flew Cathay Pacific from New York to Seoul. It was an ok flight, Cathay Pacific has great reviews online, however the seats were cramped, the entire flight was full and the food was just ok. I stared flying Asiana Air between Tokyo and Seoul, and then I changed my return flight home to this airline. The airline had great service, delicious meals. I was even served meals on the 2 hour flight between Tokyo/Seoul both ways.
Cons: Asiana Airline allowed a drunken passenger sit next to me. Everyone can smell and knew that he is drunken. The 1st thing he did after sitting was drinking alcohol from his pocket. Yes, one of the staff came to him and got the drink from him. But, he talked me for about 4hours nonstop and made me uncomfortable at all. Other passengers around me saw him because he talked too loud. I expected that they would offer me another sit and left him alone. During 10 hrs flight, I had 2 Tylenol capsules because of the smell of the alcohol from him. It was REALLY hard time for me to sit next to him during 10 hrs. DO NOT ALLOW A DRUNKEN PERSON TO GET ON A PLAIN FOR OTHERS.
Pros: Plane was very old, entertainment system old video and loop model; headrests not flexible, cramped quarters all round.
