The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency."

Cons: "We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Cons: "The DC China Embassy web site clearly states that a valid APEC Business Card can be used in lieu of a Chinese visa. In spite of this I was denied boarding by JAL. It turns out the system is not fully in place, and eventually I was issued a 10 year multiple entry visa by way of apology. JAL did not waive cancellation fee, and I suffered considerable economic damages."

Security was present they were taking notes but never intervened. This is the first time I have experience this type of chaos on an airport but from the signs posted, it appears that it may be normal situation and this airport. Didn’t expect I will have to push through a mob to board the air plane."

Too often nowadays it seems as if we( the paying customer) are nothing but a huge annoyance to the flight crew for daring to sk for a blanket, need a drink or to have to use the facilities. We had a screaming child in the row ahead most of the flight and one of the flightees went so far as to walk the toddler in her arms around the plane to help smooth her. The food reminded me of airlines meals years ago with a served roll and butter, main course ( beef with potatoes and veggies) , a tofu and soy sauce side and ice cream for dessert- no plastic silver wear here, proper solid stainless. Lots of juice and water on offer all flight and beer, wine etc with meal. American carriers should take a leaf out of this airline's book!"

Basically couldn't see the inflight safety videos from my seat (17K) because of the curvature of the overhead bins and positions of the few screens (no seat-back monitors)."

Pros: "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."

Cons: "Kayak doesn’t specify its two separate tickets for my destination to kochi from Honolulu, also they didn’t specify their would be a stop in Japan before the flight reached Singapore. The flights were delayed by a few minutes, which led to me stressing to make it on time to my flights, and I felt dehydrated and nauseous. Also the website doesn’t specify that we will have to purchase meals either before hand or on board, and that the airlines only took cash and no credit card. It was miserable, a whole 20+ hour flight with lots of stress of catching my flight, checking and the checking my baggage, and being hungry and thirsty because I didn’t carry enough cash on me."

Excellent crew who were always willing to help with my fondness for a beer. Food was as expected and up to the standard of Singapore Airlines. Throughout the entire trip, whenever I asked something, the way they answered always made me feel that I was a trouble to them. Is it because I was in an economy class and that's how you treat me? SQ, you may want to change what you are proud of. It's no longer a first class service, at least not to us poor economy class passengers."

Yesterday, I got home 1.5hrs later than I should have. I have also to pay for additional surcharge due to midnight cab fare. Further, when I wsa travelling to Jakarta - none of the inflight entertainment was working. So it has been disappointing."
Cons: "The Manchester stopover was just a lot of standing in lines. From Manchester to Singapore, the plane was full and my seat mates didn't get up when we needed out. So, we escaped to the back for a while where we were "hushed" by a stewardess. The stewards didn't seem to like it when we were out of our seats, but 12 hours is too long to be stuck in a middle seat."

Cons: "As mentioned already on Bangkok Air’s inflight questionnaire, the flight itself, food and service, were perfectly alright. It was the before and after that was the problem. I had been emailing with Bangkok Air’s call-centre for more than a week (Jan 27 – Feb 2), trying to find out if a time-wasting stop-over at BKK’s transfer desk could be avoided by checking in online and getting boarding passes beforehand. The flight to Siem Reap was the last of the day, the connect time from Emirates very short, and missing that flight would have spelt trouble with Thai Immigration ... that’s why I thought having boarding passes would help save time. I never got a clear answer. I had to resort to phoning the call-centre from Dubai during stop-over (when the printing out of boarding passes failed), only to be told that, as wheelchair user, I would have to get my boarding pass at the transfer desk in any case. I learnt subsequently, on our return journey, that EVERYBODY, with or without boarding pass, wheelchair or not, HAS to check in at BKK’s transfer desks (inconveniently located at far ends of airport). In the event, the BKK wheelchair pusher did not understand my urgings to hurry, and the lady at the transfer desk took her sweet time putting my husband, a Zambian national, ‘through the hoops’ (Q. what are you going to do in Cambodia? A. tourist. Q. where are you going to go? A. we showed her the 3-week itinerary by Trails of Indochina to Cambodia and Laos. Q. How are you going to pay? A. it’s prepaid. Q. do you have any money? A. we showed wads of cash $$$. Q. how do I know that your visa is legit? A. it’s been issued by an embassy. Q. what if it’s found not to be legit? the airline will not be responsible! and she pulled out a couple of forms to be filled in, absolving Bangkok Air from any responsibility. All this took more than half an hour, the time for boarding had long passed, but when we finally got to the departure gate it was found that the flight was late, and we made it despite all the hassles. On the return trip, checking in at Siem Reap, we were told that we had too much luggage: 24kg each. We needed to pay for 8kg (only up to BKK, as thereafter we flew business class), “US$49 please”. We tried to argue that normally, even ignoring the fact that we’d flown business with Bangkok Air had they had that service, airlines are lenient up to 23kg or so. “Ok, said the highly pregnant check-in clerk, “I’ll give you a rebate: $35!”. Her supervisor was standing next to her (she’d been called to enable our luggage to be checked through to Lusaka) but didn’t say anything. No receipt either! The week before, when our son-in-law travelled through Siem Reap from Laos to USA, he was stopped by Immigration – inside Transit! - being told he couldn’t enter and leave Cambodia on the same day. That it'd attract a penalty. He paid $40 – no receipt of course – and was let go. Strange things are happening at Siem Reap airport and Bangkok Air check-in counters!"

Third, as we are boarding this flight that is already late, the gate agent stops checking in passengers to hear what seems to be a joke from another agent. She is literally holding the passenger's ticket in mid-air. The flight is delayed already so a quick and efficient check in would be appreciated. Fourth, the departing gate was such a far walk. As I looked behind me, no one was behind me the whole way. The agent was probably listening to another joke! Lastly, upon arrival, the shuttle bus ride to the terminal took forever."
