And the JAL staff, on the ground as well as in the air, are Grade A diplomats, counselors, and -- in a word -- professionals. Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops.
Cons: Security and Immigration at Tokyo Haneda is harder than at US airports, but that's to be expected and nothing that JAL can control.
Pros: I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. Cons: We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!

Cons: One of my vegetarian meals (the larger of the two) wasn't vegetarian. This was astonishing -- a first for me in more than twenty years of flights across the Pacific. Not once have I had a vegetarian meal that included chicken, but that is just what was served to me on this flight; I was obliged to spit it out, and to wash my mouth afterwards. The selection of films offered was demoralizingly poor, and the seatback pockets afforded even less storage space than usual.

Pros: With Japan Airlines, there is never a doubt in my mind they are going to be the best airline of choice. I was running late to my flight into Haneda to fly out to Singapore. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do.

Cons: Boarding at Bali Airport is chaotic. This can hardly be attributed to Qatar Airways but this needs to be sorted out. When boarding began, it started with "Group 1" rather than business and other priority customers. It ended up rather chaotic with boarding halted at the end of the escalator causing a very uncomfortable situation as people struggled to get off the escalator.

Good array of entertainment on offer but our flight was a 'sleeper' so after a fumble with the controls and the limited new releases, I opted to read instead. Seats are comfy and spacious, much wider than Emirates in the same class (who offer only an extra 1/2 inch width over economy). Amenity kit a quality piece that is both practical and useful.

My flight was on 10th May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha to Chicago but neither my online booking site ( Kayak ) not Qatar Airways sent any notification that my Boarding was changed from Banzir International Airport to the newer, bigger airport. Consequently , on the day of flight, I went to check in and board from the Bnazir International Airport but upon reaching the airport I was told that the airport was no more in operation. I was surprised to hear that all flights were to be from the newer airport. By the time I rerouted my taxi to the new airport I was already late for my flight but fortunately the flight from Islamabad to Doha, Qatar was delayed and I made it to the boarding time and flew to Doha , Qatar and then to Chicago.

Cons: They announced everything in English and Arabic and repeated the same announcement multiple times. The entertainment is good but frustrating that it is constantly interrupted with announcement about everything. I have never heard that many on any other plane. The announcement about customs paperwork was long and done 2 times in English and 2 times in Arabic. There safety video is soooo long and again is done in two languages. It was just all too much. Besides that everything was great.
Pros: I liked the food, the crew, and the team at the airport was nice and professional. There was a air host by the name of Zaid or Zain and he was from Bombay. Really nice person and very easy to talk to.

Cons: We sat on tarmac for 3 hours with no explanation from the crew or cockpit. Because of the delay, everyone missed their connections in Doha. The crews could have jet a couple of the flights a little longer for people to make their flights. The desk was filled with people and was very chaotic. There were so many people working there but no one could give you a straight answer so it was very confusing. I had to wait at the airport for 4 hours to get it sorted and was given a food voucher for $50 for the entire stop over. I asked about a flight voucher and they laughed and said they didn't do that even though they were the ones at fault. The crew was nice and the food was good but I will never fly quatar airways unless they remedy the situation.
Pros: As the flight would be long (from Japan to Sao Paulo) they had the gentleness of putting us in the best seats well ahead that were available

Cons: Boarding from Delhi was slow. Families with small kids and seniors were asked to board but the aircraft was not accessible for more than 15 minutes. The cabin service was very slow and started good two hours after the take off from Delhi. The coffee/tea were Lukewarm.

Cons: Entertainment Systems are old, low-resolution and difficult to view & operate compared to, say, A380 aircraft. Some did not work. Seats were cramped. One recliner was broken. Cabin crew smiled less. African legs should not have lower quality of equipment and service than other legs.

Cons: Cairo airport: Personnel have no manners. Rude, disdainful security staff who bark at passenges as if everyone is a criminal. Must be related to the Egyptian mindset. Dubai airport: Endless taxiing from aircraft to terminals, endless shuttle rides between terminals. You feel like a rat scuttling through underground tunnels and dismal byways through a wateland of darkness to be spat out at ugly, uninviting entrances somewhere in the bowels of Dubai International. No signs, no knowledgeable personnel to explain anything to you. No attempt at making travelers feel comfortable, no attempt at making the surroundings look pleasant. Must be the culture. The flight itself has wonderful staff, but the airport makes me not want to fly Emirates again!

So I went yesterday 10-11-18 to the Cairo airport I met one of your employees. Asking for my 2 bags they told me that they called my my wife but they didn't. I asked my wife she said they never call me. And she talks to them on phone. They said sorry some mistakes happen they should give me $200 for every single day my bags lait but they didn't ButI received my bags broken an I lost my wife shoes and my candy The chocolate rolled over my clothes And the workers open one of my bags and eat some candy and leave the trash inside the bag

Cons: This is my fourth time booking Emirates for my route through kayak. The route is longer but I choose it for on-board Internet for work emails. Generally, they have on-board WiFi Internet, however for my return route of 21 hours both flights had no wifi which was disappointing. This is unprofessional because if you are planning on having WiFi to respond to work emails and it is not available once you are already in the air there is nothing you could do but get stuck. Never does this happen with Lufthansa, Turkish, Etihad. Disappointing.

Cons: There was no leg room at all in economy. My knees were in the seat of the person in front of me. Most of the food was terrible and I only ate the bread. The TV is on the back of the seat in front of you and is a touch screen. You have to touch pretty hard. So, every time the person behind me was scrolling, they had to hit my seat. I couldn't sleep the entire 16 hours more than 30 minutes. I asked for water to take some medicine and was told it was 30 minutes til food service and to wait. It was over 2 hours before they started food service.

I was asked to pay $1200 to get on to the next flight (without any warning that my subsequent segments will be suspended) so I bought an one way to Dubai from NYC. Then my subsequent flights were all suspended and I had to buy a new set of flights for the remaining of the trip. I didn't get to take any of the flights I purchased through Kayak.

I got a window seat when I bought the tickets and for some reason those were lost and I got a middle seat. No explanation from the front desk nor the gate. Just told I have to wait until they call you. Again no explanation why our seats got moved. Loud noises the whole plane ride while fligh attendants works in galley. No way to sleep on the 7.5 hr flight.
Pros: Lunch included with airfare. Overall feeling of the flight was relaxed, smiling Aloha. Getting us in the frame of mind for Hawaii. Really liked our seats, just the two of us on the outside row. No 3 across.

Hawaiian didn't offer any chance of changing airlines to accommodate anybody and only gave us a $100 voucher on future flights... like I'd ever fly with this airline again. If the delay was due to weather or a mechanical issue I would've understood, however one of there crew members calling in sick delays my vacation by a whole day and they say there's nothing they can do. Completely ridiculous.

The boarding area was chaotic, as the gate had room for only a few people. We got separated from my husband. My son had my husband's carry-on and the boarding agent said he had to check in my husband's luggage because my husband was not there to verity that it was his carry-on. Hawaiian Airlines is the only mainland bound airline that makes customers have their carry-on luggage go through agriculture. Why???
