Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Nothing was offered or included, not even water! The crew never passed asking or offering anything. Not even when you saw them face to face. I recently took a flight of the same length with Frontier and even though you had to pay for carry on and buy the water at least they cared"
Cons: "No more plastic cups in first class - and offer packaged nuts."
Cons: "Sick joke of an airline they treat you like cattle even in first class if you can even call it that. It’s more like premium economy and the staff is not friendly they act like they are put out when you ask for anything."
Cons: "The past two times flying with American out of Dallas my girlfriend and I have been separated on the flight. The first time we were able to be placed with each other but this time the attendant at the counter basically told everyone that because the flight was booked and there were so many people who had the issue that she could not move anyone around to be with their families. That on top of being rude to many of the flyers just makes the DFW experience with American feel like they don’t care about you."
Cons: "Nice Flight"
Pros: "Kinda confusing the train finding the gates"
Cons: "Flight attendant kept overhead spaces open for extra coach passengers."
Pros: "Landed safely."
Cons: "Missed connection. Delay do to Airline/human factors, not weather."
Cons: "The head phone jacks were loose so watching a movie was extremely difficult. The aisle is so small you can’t even walk down it without bumping people who are seated. It seemed like none of the crew wanted to be there."
Cons: "more room, better boarding procedure, on time take off"
Pros: "Despite the fact that im a platinum member they offer no benefits during the flight. Seats are torture chairs . Im definitely moving my bussiness w another airline"
Cons: "Exit row seats are too small."
Cons: "Flight was canceled"
Pros: "That I finally reached my destination."
Cons: "I & all passengers would have received accurate, timely information related to the 4 hour delay"
Cons: "Check in at originating and connecting flight very difficult. American Airlines could not find reservation on British Airways system. Was asked multiple times if I truly was booked on the flight. Four+ hour delay due to mechanical issues, delayed by union issues."
Pros: "Pleasant flight crew!!"
Pros: "loved the free movies on board, also on time departure and before time arrival makes me feel the best."
Pros: "Generally, the stewardess are new (slow service), but very kind and considerate."
Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."
Cons: "Delayed, poor info, no snacks, not even water. Lady at gate was rude. And unpleasant. Nobody kept us informed correctly and when we asked we were treated unkindly. Horrible experience with AA. Will avoid"
Pros: "Crew was nice and accommodating, and movie selection was great. Flight got was smooth, too."
Cons: "The Tiny seats. I’m smaller (5’7 135 lbs) and was sitting next to a regular sized man (6’ 175lbs) and we had no room."
Pros: "This plane is much better than the American Airlines plane I usually get stuck with on my 8 hour direct flight from JFK to MXP. Please stop using the Boeing 767 jets and only use the Boeing 777 for flights across the Atlantic. I would like to fly American more frequently but not if I think I'm going to get stuck with the planes from the 1980s where there's no personal TV, no place to plug in my phone or electronics to charge unless you carry around a car charger, which I definitely don't, and there's no WiFi on those planes either."
Cons: "Boeing 767 Jets! The food is blah - Delta and Emirates is better. The entertainment needs a bit of an update. Or maybe I just fly too often..."
Pros: "Flying internationally is civilized even in coach. There is more legroom, the food and drink carts come by several times, and there are blankets and pillows for everyone. I think all cross country non stop domestic US flights should have the same coach amenities as trans Atlantic flights."
Cons: "The seats aren’t the comfiest on the 757. They are kind of stiff. But there is more legroom on international flights."
Cons: "Although an email was received 3 hours before departure that everything was on schedule, we were told when checking in our whole itinerary had been changed to leave the next day. We had not been contacted and we missed our daughter’s professional basketball game in France. This was the reason we bought the tickets from Kayak to begin with. The cancellations were happening with British Airlines and they were not working with American Airlines to help us out to get to the game on time."
Pros: "Flight attendants"
Cons: "The flight got delayed from salt lake and we had to spend a day in Charlotte before another flight came"
Pros: "I got to Boston safely and the pilot and attendants did their best jobs. Also my luggage arrived in a timely manner."
Cons: "Your seats are too small even for a relatively small person. You should hire more flight attendants so that they are more available to help customers. We should be fed on flights of 6 hours long. American treats us like chattel and make flying unappealing."
Pros: "The flight was 30 minutes faster than initially scheduled. It was great."
Cons: "The flight left 10 minutes late, but on my positive comments, this was remedied in the end."
Pros: "The food was fabulous!"
Pros: "staff fine On time"
Cons: "Review misleading - I didn’t use entertainment and this flight does not have food"
Cons: "I called your customer service department which I believe is in India or Pakistan three times to ask them to help with an alternative flight and each time I got different information, when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told by the punk on the end of the phone that that wouldn't be possible. I asked for his name and employee number and he told me his name was Michael, difficult to believe when he sounded Indian"
Pros: "Flight crew was courteous Seat was as comfortable as an airline seat can be"
Cons: "BULKHEAD seat did not have entertainment. Had to go in search of water"
Pros: "The spaciousness of the economy cabin. Arriving early at destination!"
Cons: "Food could be improved upon."
Cons: "AA changed my flight plans without advice me. THEY ARE BREAKING MY BAG. The flight was very late. They ask me to pay $300"
Pros: "Can't think of anything good"
Cons: "SEE: Customer Relations request #1-249830721"
Pros: "Always we have a good experience"
Pros: "Food was good"
Cons: "No entertainment on the flight"
Pros: "The different variety of movies that was shown as well as the usb port."
Cons: "No free wifi, more meals, and more drinks."
Pros: "Entertainment system was great."
Cons: "Seats too small. I mean waaaay too small."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled. Disaster"
Cons: "7 hour flights must have good entertainment facilities like individual screen wherein you can choose your own. I don't normally get a good sleep on planes so a good entertainment is a must for me..."
Pros: "Plane was good. Not jammed too tightly to be comfortably."
Cons: "Plane was late leaving. Baggage took a ridiculous amount of time to come down."
Pros: "Roomy first class and very nice staff!"
Pros: "Easy flight, friendly crew."
Cons: "Girl next to me being sick the whole time"
Pros: "They have a huge selection of movies"
Cons: "They do not have gluten free options"
Pros: "Wonderful flight"
Pros: "It's fine, you know what to expect."
Cons: "No entertainment; no TVs, no music."
Cons: "They left my bag in RDU.."
Cons: "No room, small seats and no food"
Pros: "Boarded quickly, left/arrived on time. Early flight so I slept most of the way."
Cons: "Paying $60 for 2 checked bags was fine but the additional $100 for a 12 lb. over the weight limit was excessive. The bag fees ended up being just $40 less than the ticket."
Pros: "Flight left about 30 min late but still landed in philly pretty much only time."
Cons: "I wish there was a way to request to not sit next to someone carrying on a pet."
