I usually fly on their Embraer E190ARs which are pretty spartan when it comes to additional amenities as compared to the Boeing 737 fleet. However the business class seats are comfortable have a reasonable recline for such a small aircraft."
Cons: "If you're flying on a flight operated by Copa Colombia, be prepared for business class being European styled with regular economy class seats except on the E190 there is no middle row to block off."

Cons: "I went through security at Lima Peru (Jorge Chavez International), everything was fine. I arrived to Panama, and the gate was next door which is just great awesome. The bad part was that I had to go through a security check once again there, although I had not left the airport since I left Lima. I went through the exercise, I was told that there would be no liquids (8 oz bottle of water, soda, etc) allowed passed that check point. Yet they were selling these items next to the gate. It made no sense why this checkpoint and why the liquid restrictions. Once in the area if I wanted to go use the restroom or whatever I needed to go through the checkpoint. There were 6 Copa employees manning this station, that's extra expense that the company passes on to the flyer for a step that should be evaluated and look at to see why other airlines do not do this. I was not the only one getting frustrated with this setup, but also passengers that did not speak Spanish they could not communicate with Copa employees. I saw this liquid restriction with Spirit Airlines in Lima, and I decided not to fly with them any more, no matter how inexpensive their fares were. Spirit told us that it was US law that made them have people throw away their drinks, although they were bought in a secured area. To me this was just a way to charge for drinks on the plane. I never had to throw away my drink if I had bought it in a secured area."

Cons: "To board the plane in Panama City passengers had to go through a second security screening and were therefore unable to bring bottled beverages onto the plane. Once through this second security there was no where to purchase water. The free never came through the plane to offer more beverages after the meal service. Many passengers got up and corralled at the back of the plane to get water. I watched a flight attendant drink from one the large bottles herself and then presumably serve to a customer."

Despite the fact that I did online check-in at least 23 hours in advance, I was seated way at the rear of the jet. As a single woman who looks unusual because half of my hair is shorter due to recent surgery; I sincerely hope I was not seated at the back due to my appearance. The other passenger seated with me was a very kind developmentally disabled young man. The placement in row 33 +/- only emphasized the many instances of turbulence on the flight to Chicago."

Cons: "Despite early check-in, +3hours, and we checked in together; my wife and I were assigned seats that were not together. The boarding staff didn’t even mention that fact or explain why the sitting arrangement was so. It looked like she was just trying to sneak it through. I understand that many people might have pre-selected their seats online and her choices were limited, but a notification would have been nice."
Pros: "Loved the check in. No baggage expense. Up to two bags FREE! Then, we had a meal --that was included in the fare. The crew was pleasant and accommodating. Everyone was pleasant. To pass the time on the 5 1/2 hour flight, there were options for movies, TV, games and etc. Overall, it was a pleasant flight. When I book my next trip, I'm going to see if Copa goes there. If so, that's my first choice."

We didn't appreciate the fact that the airline didn't let us know in advance that we couldn't buy drinks at the airport. That was a waste of money. The food wasn't good at all though. The coffee was terrible and so were the eggs, but at least we got something."
Pros: "Copa allows two bags of 50 pounds to be checked along with carry-ons. They provide a full meal on each flight (at least that we've been on). The crew is accommodating, even providing more than one drink. The chairs are fairly comfortable."

When arriving at the airport in Tocumen, the agent told us our seats had been changed to the back. They said it was because they changed planes. New seats were in the second to last row, uncomfortable, noisy, and near bathroom. Instead of moving seats forward this is what we received. Disappointing:.."
Pros: "All of my grievances regard the Panama staff at the airport and on the plane, the staff and services at O'Hare were top notch. Customs was extremely fast and efficient and everyone was friendly and did their jobs well. As far as the Panama airlines go, the food was okay, nothing special but not disgusting, and not all the flight attendants were unpleasant."
Cons: "The worst thing that happened was mean spirited security guards at the airport did a security check before allowing us to get to our gate. They forced us to dispose of a bottle of water that we had bought at that very airport. We were then quarantined into a waiting area with no seating and no access to other water, bathroom or food. Then on the plan we were offered beverages twice, so I was only able to get about six swallows of water from Panama to Chicago. Dehydration makes a plane ride a lot less healthy and comfortable. The staff was mostly unpleasant, the seats were really small and uncomfortable (more so than any other airplanes I've been aboard), and for some reasons they kept turning the main lights on and off, allowing us to sleep and then waking us all up for no good reason. Unbelievable."

Also the lighting in this airplane was so horrid it was unbearable. Who chooses blue tinted lights? It's like flying in an industrial garage for 5 hours."

Cons: "Had over an hour for a connection at Panama city, however there was an additional security checkpoint at the gate so our entire layover was spent in line. There was no explanation for the additional security which was the first problem. Water bottles which were with us on the incoming flight leg were confiscated with no opportunity to replace them with unopened bottles due to the slowdown caused by the additional security. On a 6 hour long international flight, drinks were only served once and that was with dinner. Also, there was only a single movie and a 10+ year old television episode played as entertainment."
Cons: "I had to go through another check point (inside the airport,for abconnecting flight) made me throw away a sealed bottle of Gatorade that I purchased inside the airport 5 minutes earlier for 5 dollars. That is ridiculous!!"
Pros: "There aren't many options from Los Angeles to Trinidad & Tobago so I was surprised to discover COPA: Less expensive, they fed you two meals, had sensible baggage allowance, and didn't nickel and dime when time to select seats. On all legs of the journey they left on time. I'll definitely use them again when travelling to Trinidad & Tobago, and further into South America."
Cons: "This was a BA flight on an American Airlines plane. Very small crowded and uncomfortable. My husband is 6'2" and barely fit in the seat."
Pros: "To be fair. The flight is only 50 minutes. By th time you get a drink it's time to land. It is completely unfair to the staff to have to do that. A flight like that. Have a box with a snack and some coolers that have 5 different beverages. I wouldn't even sell booze. I person can hold out for a flight that shot to get one on the connection or in the terminal."

Cons: "As we were a few minutes from our scheduled boarding, the flight was canceled. The reason we were given was the weather, but the weather was fine in Chicago and it was fine in New York. No other flights were canceled, so the weather excuse didn't hold up. They wouldn't put me on another flight that day, so I ended up leaving the next morning on the first flight out but I was still late for work. They didn't seem to be very accommodating or apologetic and I didn't even offer compensation to those who had to stay overnight to wait for the next flight out. C'mon AA. Step it up! I would think that if you cancel a flight, you should help your customers get home the same day. Do whatever you can. I don't think you did whatever you could for most of us on that flight."

Very poor business practice on BA's end and will absolutely avoid flying with them in the future."
Pros: "Customer service at American Airlines was amazingly good. They figured out the mess that the third party agent, WEBJET.COM made and fixed it."
Cons: "The third party agent, webjet.com, was horrible. American airlines contacted them several times about canceling the ABQ-ORD flight and they never responded. WEBJET.COM did not put their name on the electronic ticket so I was unaware of who to contact. Finnair was not particularly helpful. They discontinued my chat conversation and didn't have an option to call back so I had to wait for 20 minutes. American Airlines was impressively helpful. They figured out that WEBJET.COM had canceled one leg of our fight and AA.com reinstated the flight. American had also contacted WEBJET.COM numerous times and WEBJET.COM had never responded."
Cons: "My tickets ultimately were booked through Kayak/webjet. I will never book through webjet again. You can't directly speak with an agent. They never sent me my e-tickets. I couldn't download my tickets prior to arriving at the airport. It was super confusing because I couldn't figure out whether I was flying on British Airways or American Airlines. I didn't know what terminal to go to. I finally checked in with American even after they told me to go to British Airways. Next, American said that my booking was messed up such that they couldn't check my bag through. So at Chicago I had to exit the Secure area, pick up my bag from baggage check, check it back in and go back through security. I still didn't have my ticket for the chicago-barcelona leg of the trip. At American, they told be I had to exit the airport again to go to British Airways for the Chicago- Barcelona leg of the trip. Luckily, i asked another agent and she confirmed my flight was though American. It was the most confusing flight experience, I have ever had."

Cons: "My only complaint was that it was a long time between pushing off from the gate and lift off but that was due to weather. Not the pilot's fault."
Cons: "Think it is ridiculous that I had to pay so much to select a seat ahead of time, and it was just a regular seat. I can understand for extra legroom or exit row, but for a regular seat, that is ridiculous. Then there was a fee to change priority boarding, so I could ensure I was able to have my carry-on with me, instead of risk having it go underneath. Unable to use the entertainment, as I was unaware had to use my own device, which I had not set up in advance."
Pros: "The Resolution team assisted me initially when I arrived to correct an issue from my online attempt. The agent printed bag checks for me to my final destination and told me how to get needed boarding pass for the final stage. How wonderful to have pleasant and professional personal attention."

Cons: "Initially we thought we were flying with British Airways. We then had to do some digging to realize it was all out of American Airlines. Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."

Then they stated they would send my confirmation via email 24-48 hours. 3 days later and the confirmation still never came. SO I had to call again and wait another half hour. No point in booking through a 3rd party for that type of hassle."

Cons: "My flight was scheduled for 5.37pm, but came to the airport thinking that I could get an earlier flight to Chicago and I was there at 1pm, requested for standby status, did not get it because am not platinum of diamond member, asked for $75.00, of course I didn't want to pay and stayed in the airport thinking that my flight would be on time, but it was delayed and delayed and took off at last, saw O'Hare airport but it looks like the pilot could not land it because he did not get the clearance, but as a passenger, I saw the flight going around and around the Ohare area, at least 6 times, then after landing taxing took for ever. I WILL TRY NOT TO FLY IN AA AGAIN."

Cons: "I don't have a problem with a flight being delayed for any reason. That is simply one of the hazards of flying. However, the PIT->ORD flight was delayed multiple times for unknown reasons. If the airline would have given a realistic timetable, customers could have managed their time much easier. Instead, United Airlines kept delaying takeoff for 15-20 minutes, multiple times. When they finally get the customers into the boarding process, they act like they're doing you a favor. Poorly managed, customers manipulated."

The only reason I made it was because the airport crew was great in helping me get through the airport quickly. And the only reason my luggage made it on time was because my flight was delayed for two hours."

We sat for 20 mins right in front of our gate. From 1 pm to 10 on my flight to Asheville from Chicago was delayed many many times waiting for our airplane to arrive. Upsetting that we missed our connection due to United's poor planning, they didn't hold our connecting flight for us but we had to wait all night for other flights."
Pros: "Nothing about 9 HOURS in an Airport is great! I walked from where I landed coming from Calgary, to terminal 2 Gate F 17 because that was where the flight to Lexington was to leave from. Then I got notice it was leaving from terminal 1 Gate B 24 so (I'm sure I walked a mile there) to get there. Waited for a number of hours checked my phone and found the departure was back again at terminal 1 Gate F 17!?!?! So I walked another mile back to where I started. At no point was I offered a drink or meal voucher for the 9 hour delay/inconvenience in my flight to Lexington ky. Suffice to say that I will NEVER go on any flight if I have to go back through this airport. I also have horrible knees, which all the walking did not help."
Cons: "I would like to say that as a person with a disability, there is not any support for help getting around. They have plenty of for lack of a better term "golf carts"; but no one utilizing them. Not that I am a world traveler; but this airport could take more than a page from Calgary international in terms of support to those with disabilities. I will NEVER and I do mean NEVER go through something like this again. I expected to be home in Lexington at 5:00pm and did NOT arrive until midnight.??!! This is in my opinion quite unacceptable! Cons: "Our plane was United, so I don't think this reflects on Lufthansa, but rather United. The plane entertainment was extremely outdated and there was not enough room in the overhead containers for everyone's carry-ons. This problem made boarding a very long and aggrevating process."

Cons: "Our plane departed on time, 6:05 AM. About 6:40 A E turned back towards Boston. There was a problem with the wing. It got repaired. We deplaned. And waited. And waited. Then we needed fuel to be removed. And we waited. And waited. Then we got back on board, got to the runway, and the RIGHT ENGINE didn't start. So they tried to repair it, couldn't (didn't want to fly on that old, broken plane anyway at this point), and we had our flight canceled. All told, I spent 10+ hours at Logan Airport. It was an absolute disaster."

Cons: "This flight was a complete disaster. I ended up b=on a different flight to Newark, as my flight to Chicago got canceled. Then that fight was unable to land, so I spent hours in baltimore, and missed my connecting flight to Brussels. By the time I finally arrived, 4 hours late, to Newark, I had to spend 2 hours in a line to get re-book, for a flight the next night. I was compensated for all this mess with a $10 food voucher, and had to get a cab from the airport to the closest and cheapest hotel. My flight to Brussels was uneventful, save one rude flight attendant, and I got to school a day late."

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Cons: "During my round trip my flight was delayed 4 times and canceled twice. On the first cancellation I had to get a hotel room because the next flight wasn't for 24 hours. Then, that flight was canceled but the booked me on another airlines. At first they were going to make me wait another 24 hours until I had told her that I had already did that once. The desk clerks were rude on every encounter."

Cons: "I have metal leg braces. I had to remove them to get in the seat. So the flight was uncomfortable. It would be nice if the plane could have handicapped seating.I know I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for comfortable seating."

Cons: "The seats on the flight from LAX to ORD are built for people who are under 6' tall. You need to disclose the fact that your seats cannot accomodate a person who is 6'2" and 200 lbs. or you will need to accept medical responsibility for the damage done to a persons musculoskeketal system."
