Japan Airlines hasn’t the best customer service of any airline I have ever flown. Flight attendants aren’t very friendly and they give you a lot of food. The entertainment was great as well.
The staff at Tokyo Narita was slow and unfriendly, which doesn’t reflect well for Japan air.
Liked creative approaches with the meals, with new/different menu - some room for improvements but generally good Loved the movie selection
Found the seats hard and uncomfortable after a few hours although the leg space was more generous in economy than United/ANA
Our flight was delayed due to lightning strike on arriving flight, we were transferred to non stop EVA Airline so we can get home and not need a connecting flight in Japan. JAL did all these arrangements without us requesting it. They also were very polite and got our luggage in time to be on the flight with us. JAL is truly a top airline in the world.

Didn't like headphone jack in panel display as it gets in the way of eating, which is a lot on international travel.

Flight crew was amazing. Respect for people at a level I haven’t seen on domestic US airlines. Seat configuration of 2-4-2 in economy was great. Food and entertainment was really good. Flight arrived on time with no issues.
That the level of service on other airlines isn’t at this level. Don’t go to AA looking for a good example.

The boarding process was a joke. No seat assignments until the last second. The front desk personnel would not help us with a seat assignment and said they were “working on it”. I sat down with my wife in the waiting area and observed the front desk personnel joking around with each other for the next 45 minutes before the flight. Very unprofessional and not helpful. Not a good way to represent your airline.

I would have given a 5 Stars for comfort if the cabin temperature is at least cooler not dry. Please please look into it.

Friendly and attentive staff with excellent amenities ie: check in, seat space, food quality, movies to watch, music, ...etc.
Nothing to complain about here. Both trips to Tokyo, Japan--to and from Japan have been enjoyable and drama free.
