Hard to use tables and TV screens interfere with the enjoyment of flight experience. Other than that it was a smooth and comfortable ride and we were well taken care of.
The plane was over an hour late taking off... the plane was rather tired looking, seat cushion was thin and uncomfortable, the sound on my entertainment system wasn't working... crew are not friendly.
We had a 1 1/2 hour delay before we left Denver. When we arrive to Frankfort, they didn’t announce that people with connecting flights to exit the plane first. My next flight was already boarding when we we taxiing in to the gate. I waited another 10 minutes to get off the plane. I had to run to catch my next flight. I mean run! I made it with one minute to spare, but my luggage did not. My luggage came two hours later on a different flight.
My flight was late from US to Frankfurt so I missed my connecting flight flight and I had to wait for long to catch the next flight which was very tiring. Otherwise everyone was very nice.
Lufthansa charged me $280 to take skiiis when in the US the boot bag and skiis are one check-in bag. This was not advertised and a real shock at the airport. They only took the boot bag as a check-in item. The seats have been squeezed together like any economy airline and legroom is not as good as it used to be. Otherwise, the flight was fine and staff was helpful for making my connection.
I wouldn't recommend Lufthansa otherwise. We took this flight only because our flight to Kittilä got cancelled and Lufthansa offered a replacement which would have been two days later, with a night in Frankfurt and another in Munich. We refused the replacement but the staff at the airport entered in the system claiming that we accepted the replacement.. We didn't get the full refund because of this.
The only thing that the airport can improve which will help Lufthansa from delay flights is to warn the passengers that are flying to the USA to be earlier to the gate due to the documents check that in our case delayed the flight
They gave us free up grade to a roomier seat.
Flight was late, with scheduled 50 min layover at Frankfurt. Arrived at gate A54, had to get to B5. We now had 35 min layover with delay, at top speed it took 30 min to get to B5 hot and bothered. Not good. Boarding in Lyon was normal chaos, shoving, and total disrespect for anyone beyond group 2. Boarding for Milan flight was more civilized as we all had to take a bus to plane.
With the boarding process, shuttle to the plane, and boarding there we ran about 30 minutes late. It was okay for comfort for a short flight.
