Top tips for finding cheap flights to Bangladesh

  • Book at least 1 week before departure in order to get a below-average price.
  • High season is considered to be May, June and July. The cheapest month to fly from the United States is September.
  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Bangladesh flight deals.
  • The documents needed when boarding a plane to Bangladesh are a boarding pass, identification documentation (passport), letter of invitation, visa (or CIBTvisa), and proof of travel.
  • Travelers coming to tour multiple cities in Bangladesh should consider flying to Dhaka, the capital city that hosts Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC). The airport operates numerous flights to domestic destinations, making it the base to tour other parts of the country.
  • To board domestic flights, you are only required to provide photo ID, which could be in the form of a National ID, student ID, driving license, or a valid passport.
  • Suppose you are transiting to areas on the southeastern coast of Bangladesh, endeavour to book flights that land in the port city of Chattogram, where Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) is located. This airport records a high frequency of flights, and you thus won’t have a challenge securing a flight on your way back.
  • If you choose to arrive in India and travel to Bangladesh by train, you will be ineligible to apply for a Visa on Arrival and overstaying your visa in Bangladesh will incur you costs depending on the length that you overstay.
  • November to February are the peak tourist months in Bangladesh. The weather during this period is warm sunny days and cooler nights, making it ideal to explore outdoors and visit major attractions. As such, fares are likely to rise dramatically, and so are accommodation facilities.
  • All short term visitors to Bangladesh are expected to prove sufficient financial liquidity to support themselves during their stay.
  • Many flights to Bangladesh from the U.S. require a layover either in Doha (DIA) or Istanbul (IST). This is because Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are the two major carriers plying this route, hence the layovers in their respective capitals. To this end, plan and book these options if you are on a tight budget and are looking to save money.
  • All foreigners departing from Bangladesh, except children below two years of age, are expected to pay a departure tax that may be included in the flight ticket price. Confirm with your airline on whether the ticket price is inclusive of departure tax.
  • Bangladesh has numerous cities, and you’ll thus need connections to tour more than one. Therefore, it might be best if you fly through the hubs of specific airlines that provide good connections to your itinerary cities. Emirates runs its hub at the Dubai International Airport (DBX) and might suit your needs.

Cons: "Mechanical problems delayed the flight 1 1/2 hours. Other than that, the flight was good."
Pros: "I am looking for something good put didn’t find Sorry"
Cons: "The departure time should be on time Our flight was delayed more than one hour"
Pros: "The time of the plane itself was nice and the ride was quick"
Cons: "The food potions were poor expected more from emirates... I took the same flight to LHR how ever this flight was not cleaned properly and the chairs were uncomfortable... I was sitting at the exit and my luggage bins were filled with blankets hence I had to put my carryon at the end of the plane"
Cons: "The PA system can be deafining when it interrupted the music. Overall it is just another cattle class now."
Pros: "everything! the A380 plane and the onboard entertainment and services was fantastic"
Cons: "Bigger entertainment screens compared to previous Emirates flight from Manchester"
Cons: "You cancelled my return ticket without informing me or giving a refund. Lied about the refund in the emails you sent me."
Cons: "Caused me a 20+ hour layover in dubai in a horrible hotel"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Entertainment had very poor choices. Food was not good, even the crew didn’t have enough food for all passengers. Seat was uncomfortable. Would like to avoid this airline in future."
Pros: "The crew was friendly but not always available for requests. I suppose I could have used the "attendant call button" but it would have been nicer if they were more observant when I was looking at them with a look of "I need something" as they walked by"
Cons: "Boarding process seems standard - always takes a long time to board and disembark. Older planes have screens with poor touchscreen responsiveness and poor resolution. I was surprised to see that the short-haul flights had better screens than the long-haul flights. I was on a 3 1/2 hour flight each way from Dubai/Delhi with beautiful screens but the long-haul each way from Dubai/Seattle had the crappy screens."

Just snacks, could have more options.boarding was good. Everything else was good.

Pros: "crew was so kind and lovely with our daughter"
Cons: "food was fairly rough from Doha and the wine options in economy on all flights were terrible"
Pros: "The food was good and many entertaining movies."
Cons: "When first boarding the airplane and sitting in my assigned seat. There was terrible smell, the smell of vomit. I notified a crew member and she used a fragrance spray to help."
Cons: "Unorganized too shaky flight made me sick to stomach ,foods are not good service not good"
Pros: "The service was great! I slept almost the whole way in economy and was very comfortable!"
Pros: "The leg room was huge, the food was excellent and a lot and the customer service was great not my first time to fly with Qatar and it won’t be my last, the made my trip worthwhile. Thank you"
Cons: "No complaints so far so good"
Pros: "Boarding was smooth; Plane was clean; Flight departed on time;"
Cons: "Flight arrived late for no obvious reason; Crew was good but not as good as what I have experienced in the past with Qatar and other airlines"
Pros: "I flew from Bali to Doha and then Doha to Dulles after an 8 hour layover. Both flights operated a Boeing 777. The planes were spotlessly clean both flights. The menu choices were amazing and the wine selections were very good. What made the difference was the attentiveness of the cabin crew. I would particularly like to commend the purser and the flight attendants on flight 707 DOH-IAD for their assistance and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty"
Cons: "Flight 707 was supposed to have the new Qsuites in Business Class, so it was disappointing that without prior notice the airline switched to an aircraft with normal (but quite good) business class seating. Nevertheless, the purser and the flight attendants made the flight memorable in a very positive way."
Pros: "From boarding to landing, I had a great flight. Flight was from NYC to Jakarta via Doha. Flight on a b777 to Jakarta and b787 to Jakarta. Plane had plenty of legroom and nicely designed entertainment system. Service was world class. About every hour or so, a crew member would ask if we wanted drinks. Food was great, had 3 choices of entrees for each meal."
Cons: "Well I had 13 hours of layover. I was extremely tired and sleepy."

0ur assigned seats were given to other individuals when we boarded the plane. We were given new boarding passes with new seats all the way at the back of the plane. The reason given to us was that there were issues with the seats. We found out that there were no issues, and someone else's were seated on those.

Pros: "NOTHING"
Cons: "WHEN i ARRIVED AT AIRPORT ON JUNE 3,2019 TRUKISH STAFF TOLD ME YOUR FLIGHT IS NOT CONFIRMED BUT MY FLIGHT WAS CONFIRMED.I AM VERY UPSET BECAUSE I AM DISABLED AND LOW VISION.I THINK THIS IS TOATLY WRONG.20 MAY I WAS SICK TRUKISH AIRLINES CANCELED MY FLIGHT BECAUST I WAS SICK."
Pros: "The staff member who checked me in was very friendly"
Cons: "the inflight staff needs to improve their behaviour in dealing with passengers. Some were quite rude. The aircraft seats were extremely cramped. The food selection was quite poor."
Pros: "Plan was hold, crew was not helpful. I requested a wheel chair and never got it. Flight was delayed and no assistance was given to figure out missed connections."
Cons: "Fix the above. Will not fly Turkish airlines again!"
Pros: "The crew was great and loved the meal given during flight."
Pros: "I was feeling very bad during flight. Crew made everything possible to make this flight comfortable for me. They took good care of me and were stopping by me, to check how am I feeling during whole flight."
Cons: "This is not about airlines, but about passengers. All airlines should prohibit passengers to use fragrance. This lady who flew next to me, had strong perfume and it felt like she used half of the bottle, cause it was impossible to breath."
Pros: "Entertainment and punctuality"
Cons: "I think some of your steward and stewardesses exhibits racist tendencies. I am not sure why this is so. They need to be educated that we are all paying customers and they should know how to avoid the discrimination trap."
Pros: "Full meal and entertainment system even for a shorthaul flight."
Cons: "Tight leg room"
Pros: "I loved the customer service and the staff are ever so friendly. Always smiling and making sure we are ok. Polite and helpful."
Pros: "Smooth flight. Comfortable chairs for economy. Nothing to complain about."

My baggage was not with the same flight I travelled

The check in process was a disaster. There no clear lines and there were people everywhere, pushing and cutting in line. There was no communication about flight delay and our flight arrived 5 hours late. Causing us to run to our next flight. Our luggage did not make the flight

Pros: "very poor experience transiting through Jeddah airport"
Cons: "There was no wheelchair that was request. Had to walk long distance in severe pain. no one bothered to listen. Will never fly Saudia again"
Pros: "I and other passengers of karachi decided that we will never book saudia arabia airline outgoing flight was quit better but inbound flight was worst than ever even saudia arabia refused to give airport meal in 6 hours stay to the people of karachi"
Cons: "Arabia air should fly on time and give same services as western cities to the flight of karachi Bording must be efficient all the girls are bad mannered on boarding counter"
Pros: "Every member of the crew I encountered was five-star, and went above and beyond."
Cons: "The shuttle between the terminal and the aircraft could be more frequent instead of cramming passengers in and waiting for more to board."
Pros: "Overall crew is polite and nice."
Cons: "Ground staff needs some training in assuring privacy of customer, during my whole checkin process a gentleman who is another customer stand next to me."
Pros: "Take off was on time. Food was good. Crew was professional."
Pros: "The Saudi planes are relatively new and quiet. The seat pitch in coach is acceptable as there were plenty of empty seats on the flight. They offered free connection for texting apps which is nice to have. The entertainment selection was broad enough, but I did not use."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for over 3 hours without a good explanation. Saying a flight is late because of a late incoming flight is a circular argument - we're late because we're late."
Pros: "Only good food"
Cons: "The seats were not good And the screen was not working all the flight to istabul on my wife’s seat (no entertainment)"
Pros: "LOVED the WiFi on board. Awesome."
Cons: "No booze? Wish i would have known that before booking. Probably wouldn’t have chosen this airline. I love having a glass of wine on international flights. It helps me relax. The fact it was 15 hours of dryness, put a damper on the flight. Also, there was a prayer to “allah” that came on the info system, and the plane was chanting. Very uncomfortable. Probably will not fly this airline again."
Pros: "Crew was very good. Food was good. Flight arrived earlier"
Cons: "Boarding was not done via aero bridge and we had to use the bus adding to some discomfort and no special order for elderly and people with kids during boarding."
Pros: "crew is mediocre. i flew buisiness class and the crew did a basic job. Qatar and Emirates treat business class far better than Kuwait Airways does."
Cons: "better service, care, follow up. kuwait airways also lost my luggage."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats on newer aircraft. Polite staff, but food sketchy (crew did not know what they were serving- How does Shepherd's Pie become Lasagna?), blankets were seemingly only given to couples, water rationed? and announcements were randomly given in Arabic, Thai, English, German. Et cetera"
Pros: "from Kuwait to Dhaka flight was not good enough overall..."
Cons: "we need better service..."
Pros: "food onboard good."
Cons: "Flight attendants very RUDE! no patience dealing with passengers shouting at passengers do not help"
Cons: "The food was ok.the bread was stale and cold.should serve it hot. No blankets were given.bathrooms were uncleaned.out of soap n tissue roll once was hanged out.the kuwait airport is pathetic.has all the bathrooms on the lower level far away from the prayer rooms.uncleaned. i dont wanna say more..hire more professionals to work for the airport"
Pros: "1. Real vegetarian food can be served. 2. The space between front and back seats to be slightly more. 3. The staff of the Kuwait airways should coordinate with the passengers continuing their journey right from the time the passenger gets down from the flight. We faced problem in locating the office of the kuwait airlines at Kuwait. 4. The gap is too long between the flights. 5. No details in some of the gates regarding the flight details. 6. The snacks served at Kuwait airport can be slightly different. 7. How to use toilets have to be informed to the passengers as some of the passengers may not how to flush."
Pros: "Entertainment better than some other airlines. The airline behaved well to accommodate Hotel need in Kuwait because of the flight arriving late."
Cons: "Need to improve the communication setup if the flight is late for whatever reason. The hostess staff should be more courteous."
Cons: "They lost my luggage which has all my cloths inside it."
Cons: "We asked for wheelchair access. At the Kuwait airport the crew was not very interested to help though. They kept on saying go there. I will not recommend kuwait if you have difficulty in walking and all."
