Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

The front desk staff didn’t arrive until closer to 1.5 hours before check in so nearly theall passengers were in a huge line to get passes and check bags."

I was delayed to the airport due to traffic and they refused to help me in any way. I have flown with this airline in the past and the airline was always kind and accommodating, but not so this time! I lost $1.1K for the initial fare and then had to purchase a separate $2.3K ticket to reach my destination. Absolutely NO other airline has been so dismissive to me. I fly United all the time, and they are worst by US standards, and yet (I never thought I would say this) United has always helped MUCH better than this airline! I called customer service and could barely understand their English, not to mention that they didn't care at all to help me. I lost $3.3K because of this airline. It was the worst travel nightmare of my life, and I have been to 50+ countries!"

Entertainment choices were sufficient. Since i was traveling alone with my 4 year old was glad we were offered priority boarding."

If you are out of luck and everyone sitting in a row with you is about 170 cm tall, the 13 hours between LAX and Istanbul become a struggle of how to comfortable accommodate everyone.... Exiting the air craft was managed with staircase and bus, at times a bit of a work out, traveling with a small child, carrying two carry-on's and help the child climb down steep stair cases..."

In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return."

Compare to most of us airline plus British Airlines that even sells the earphones and pillows, THY had everything free. It is a first class treatment for economy."

Cons: "Every flight was 30+ minutes late. Crew members at the gate were consistently on their phones and delayed service substantially. Not only am I incredibly frustrated that I could not bring my laptop onboard to do work, but the fact I wasn't told until right at boarding and it took extensive time to reclaim it makes Turkish airlines on par with Ryan Air for inconveniencing its customers. At baggage claim, the crew loaded our baggage on the incorrect track, making it take even longer to receive it. Seats and leg room are sub par. As someone who is 6'3, when the person in front of me put their seat back, I was forced to take a metal bar on the back of their seat to my knees (no matter the position). I will be recommending to both family and friends that they should avoid this airline at all costs."

They have lovely serving crew so no one actually hesitates to ask or want something. They have helped me and my two toddlers along with 3 other similar families of an incredible amount to make sure they are all comfortable. No wonder that received the best airline of europe award for several years in a row...There was only a 20 minutes delay during take-off and we still arrived home a bit early... Very smooth flight, one that I still cant believe I had with my 2 toddlers. Strongly recommended."

"When I arrived at the airport I checked my bags in and they gave me piece of paper and told me to wait and someone will come get me with the wheelchair. I am 84 and this was set up when I purchased my ticket. My flight was at 4 . I have waited an hour for someone to show up after 3pm . After that I was told I won’t be able to board the plane because it’s too late. What a mess! My bags were taken! I ended up taking a another flight few hours later . When I arrived at my destination I found out my bags are missing. Again! I am 84 all my bags were checked in . I am not able to carry heavy items . I don’t have my belongings, my medication! This is was horrible , horrible service . Not only flying somewhere it’s stressful as it is these days and then this! Then our new flight with a later time to Bremen was cancelled 20 minutes prior to boarding with no more flights to this area. The service center helped us redirect another flight to Hamburg, Germany. We had to fly to Vienna and then to Hamburg. We made it to Vienna after a 40 minute delay however, this delay caused us to miss our connecting flight once again. We were placed on an early flight the next morning to Hamburg which was an easy flight. When we got to luggage in Hamburg we noticed our luggage was missing. Supposably still in Munich. We then missed this flight and missed out on valuable time with friends who live in Germany."

Despite my repeated requests, neither Airfare.com nor United nor Lufthansa were willing to adjust my consequent itinerary to correct that conspicuous deficiency. Instead, both United and Lufthansa representatives repeatedly assured me that the 40 minute connection would present no problem; and Airfare.com tried to extract a 33% premium on its original sale to make any such adjustment. As it turned out, my apprehensions were realized when boarding and tarmac delays at SFO consumed the entire layover, and a subsequent gate delay at ORD frustrated the commendable efforts of the flight crew to facilitate the de-boarding of passengers with close connections. Contrary to United and Lufthansa's explicit reassurances, the long run halfway down one concourse and all the way back up a second left me four minutes short of the gate closure. You guys need to get your act together. If either airline chooses to finance its operations by selling tickets to an "aggregator", such a business practice should not relieve the airline of its obligation to provide reliable service to its ultimate customer, the flyer. I am currently working to identify an appropriate regulatory agency to whom to report this cynical misrepresentation of services and the patently corrupt business model upon which it is based."

I don't know, I've so gotten used to Delta's biz layout with their direct aisle access and no touch points to a fellow traveller, I don't think I can look at anything more traditional as not a compromise and downgrade."

When I checked in they were rude and threatened to take my computer because they told me I couldn't bring it into the US. When I got back home to customs they laughed and told me that that isn't true at all. In the flights the stewards and stewardess' never smiled, they hardly made eye contact and just seemed to absolutely hate life. At one point I was so hungry so I asked to purchase some pringles because that was something that advertised on the loud speaker. When I asked the flight attendant she made the biggest deal about it, laughed in my face and basically told me no. To be honest I am not sure if this sort of a attitude is something that is part of a different culture but I feel that if people are in the service industry that they should at least smile and respond with, "you're welcome" when someone says, "thank you". I will 100% not take this airline again due to the very rude people one board and horrible customer service."
