Pros: "the Level of service and the Japanese culture was evident at every moment of this flight. Our boarding process was delayed by almost an hour, and it felt like every 5-10 minutes we had an update as to what was going on and why, then passports were checked early, and service was top notch."

Pros: "The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large), and we were regularly offered food and drink if we were awake. I would definitely recommend JAL to others."

Two big hot meals served throughout the flight and plenty of drink service. lots of leg room and could recline comfortably. Flight attendants were wonderful and very helpful. Lots of new movies to watch and games to keep you entertained."
Cons: "Flew economy for the 2nd part of my trip and the seat was very hard and was impossible to get comfy. Same meal service as premium economy and was once again delicious. Much colder on this flight and the thin blankets do very little to help."

Pros: "The staff helping to check in was amazing. There was an error which checking in at LAX, we didn’t have our seats assigned. Ali was able to get us seats together, and by a window at that! She was incredible and super helpful. I knew it would be a great flight just from her service at the beginning."

There were toothbrush kits w/small tubes of toothpaste in the bathrooms, which was a nice touch. Bathrooms were very clean. Entertainment was very good and had many choices. Would love to fly them again any chance I get! Probably the best flight experience I've ever had."
Pros: "The flight attendants were so nice and gave a gift to my wife and I when they found out we were traveling for our anniversary! Everyone was so respectful and the food service was awesome. We even flew economy and had a great time!"

Cons: "We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

Pros: "The staff of ANA took superb care of us from the moment we entered the airport (both SEA and NRT); kindness, excellent food (choose the seafood diet, the food is excellent and you get served first!) and helpful directions in English whenever we looked the slightest bit confused. I will always look to fly ANA going forward. oh, and comfortable economy seats; enough room (I am 6'2") and no numb bum."

But I still get crowded on domestic flights—seems the seats get smaller and closer together on short flights every year. ANA was good service to Japan. Business class and first class looked awesome. Maybe someday."
Pros: "The configuration of 787-900 Busn. Class was very good. However need to age Chivas Regal to 18 years like KAL, not ordinary 12 years. Flight attendants were exceptionally efficient, professional, courteous, and outstanding ambassadors for ANA and Japan itself. In the US Marine Corps we would say "Ooo Rah". I may heed to check out your milage club and stop using various carriers for my trans Pacific flights. Thank you very much ANA."
Pros: "After flying domestic flights on US carriers, the idea of getting two meals and free drinks is almost shocking. Even more so when the food (though very Japanese) was quite good quality in economy. If you have to spend 10 hours or more crossing an ocean ANA is certainly a good bet, at least if you don't mind a bento box style meal."
