Cons: "Having United book our departing gate on the other side of the airport with little to no time to get through. Once at O'Hare, we had to get through customs and get on a tram to the other side of the airport, just to have to get through security again and then run to our gate (due to United usual tardiness in getting any flight off on time, we were an hour late departing Narita airport). The air conditioner appeared to be off or broken and they could not get the plane started. They had us sitting at the gate for 35 min in a very hot plane and the staff ignored all customers who raised concerns about the heat. While I know they can't do much about it, they could acknowledge people when they are talking to them"

Pros: "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."

Got a hard time on the weight of my carry-on being more than 7kg although I had to point out that my ticket allowed me two bags that were 23kg each - I had nothing to check. Eventually, when I pointed out that I could wear enough of the clothes from the carry on, they agreed to let me take it on. On board, the service was cold, bland and infrequent. The entertainment system lost sound perhaps 20 minutes into the flight."

My wife and I both took note that the flight attendants were "First Class" with emphasis on class. Exceptionally well groomed, but also conveyed genuine concern and helpfulness and at the same time, real workers, energetic and perky. We are bragging to all our friends about the uplifting cultural demeanor of Singapore Airlines. They should all get a pay raise. Cons: "The cabin baggage restrictions are very, very strict. 7kg (15lbs) limit for carryon combined with your personal item. So strict that they take the time to weigh your luggage before going through the gate. Very frustrating because a small case already weighs up to 6.2lbs. Add your chargers, camera, phone, voltage converter, book and you are over the limit. Flight attendants were grumpy and the over head storage was occupied by the flight attendants personal belongings and items for the plane. Very little space for our 1 carryon."

Flight seemed to have run out meals since a random third person in my row requested an extra meal and was told they were out. Flight etiquette of other passengers would have been nice; for example, it was also fairly unsafe for a father and child to keep walking up and down the aisles, let alone the bumping into people they kept doing."

Something is not right with their system. One you serve what you make us select and then the system is recording only for one passenger."

This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

Literally, every 15 minutes, someone in the flight crew was bumping my seat/bed - and waking me up. Never once got an apology. So pissed off I paid extra for business class when I would've gotten more sleep in a middle seat in coach."

Cons: "i had a surfboard bag that weighed 11lbs and my daughter had a surfboard bag that weighed 21 lbs and we are being charged $200 each both ways for a total charge of $800 round trip. This is an outragous fee for surfboard and other airlines specificly Alaskian Air, Quanties, and Virgin Australia have been letting us travel with surfboard bags for free that weight 3 times that much. I will never take Cathay Pacific again as we paid more for these flights because we had heard they do not charge for surfboard and they have great service. I had a total of $1200 fspending money for food and transportation for my trip to Bali. That leaves me with $400. Never again will I travel with Cathay Pacific and I will be spreading the word through social Media! Not a Happy Customer!!!"

The toilet cleanliness was poorly maintained throughout the flight. It could have been cleaned more often. The onboard entertainment was very dated. New movies would be better appreciated. Now comparing you to SQ, but you faired worse than PAL which was a disappointment to us. We had expected you to perform better. The uniform design looks dated. It looked like something from the 1980s. It's time to keep up with the times."
Cons: "For an airline that has good reputation, they had pretty old planes. My entertainment system was not working properly. Seats were dirty. I had a window seat and the window had a food stain on it. Crew kept serving the person next to me alcohol even though he was drunk. I found that very unprofessional with no regards to passengers sitting next to him. Drunk passenger misbehaved with me and passenger still kept serving him alcohol."

Instead of starting of handing out meals in other section (which was served last for initial meal). So being in the second the last row, I was served meal last both times. Also very slow in taking away empty trays. Had to beg for an aisle seat, which is total BS as it seems women are automatically assigned to middle seats, even though I am taller than most men. I am a Qantas frequent flyer which has stated my preference for an aisle, but only given to me if I ask, and sometimes not even that. Also on this flight, the bathrooms were a mess. Food was not very good. And in terms of boarding we had to wait to a passenger - why can one person hold up an entire flight? Felt that my experience was not worth the exorbitant price. This is not part of Qantas responsibility, as flight came in on time at Tullamarine airport in Melbourne, but it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get out of the airport!!!!"

I fly often for work and also pay for Qantas club but this experience is making me think very differently about booking flights according to what the codeshare airline is. Dissapointed and not what I expect the standard of a Qantas codeshare airline to be."
