Pros: "The whole experience was amazing. For a long flight, I was expecting to be miserable. But I was oddly satisfied. From the nice spacious seats, the the smorgasbord of food (never been fed so much on an airplane) to the excellent staff service I was impressed. Even the bathrooms were clean!"

Pros: "Flew with EVA 16 years ago to Hanoi, Vietnam and again in 2018 to Hanoi, via Taipei. Very professional, attentive, good food, little amenities that make a difference in the overall experience of traveling. Very clean bathrooms, even after a 16-1/2 hour flight to Taipei it was still clean at the end of the trip. Food was good and plentiful, wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages offered. Came around at least three times on the leg to Taipei with food and water and when I wanted more water they gladly made sure I stayed hydrated on such a long flight."

Cons: "In spite of JFK airport shuting down due to Storm Grayson, EVA airline refused to cancel the flight until 1 hour before the time of departure! They wouldnt listen to my requests to change flights until it was too late. JFK airport put out a notice at 7:30PM stating that they woukd be closed until 7am the next morning. However, i recieved an email from EVA airlines AND Kayak around 9 PM stating that my flight was on time... the airport was closed!! Terrible organization... overall a really bad experience."

Cons: "Airline seemed to be extremely stingy with the food and beverages during my 12hr + flight. Felt like I had to fight for every little bit of extra scrap of food and explain why I needed it. It was also very limited options almost everything in the menu contained pork and if you did not pre-order a meal in advanced then it was hard for you to get anything else to eat. Airline also forces you to take out your headphones from the TV set almost 20 minutes before arriving for some odd reason. And on my flight we had a two hour delay on the tarmac."

Few minutes later, she asked me to move my luggage and to place it to another overhead cabin because she said It's "heavy." I followed the standard size and weight for carry on luggage. Another passenger helped me instead. No place to rest our feet."

Pros: "Customer service was outstanding. After a debacle with Jetblue where they cancelled our originating flight, we booked another ticket through Delta to get to JFK. The Delta flight was delayed on the tarmac of JFK for 45 minutes, giving us only 15 minutes to go to the EVA terminal and check in. The terminal was nearly empty when we ran up to the counter. Luckily, the agents had not closed down yet. They attempted to check us in when they realized that the airline cancelled our ticket because our Jetblue originating flight was cancelled. The agents worked furiously to ensure we got on the flight, even communicating with the gate to let them know we were coming. They rebooked our tickets and got us on the plane. We are so appreciative of the EVA staff at JFK for saving our vacation."

Then being made to take 1 point something kilos into another lighter bag. However the staff were very good about it. not their fault that they find themselves having to talk through something that just doesn't ad up. However we enjoyed the flight, and the help we received transferring from a very late plane to one almost waiting in Fiji. :-)"

Cons: "My Fiji flights between Honolulu and Auckland were cancelled so they rebooked me on Jetstar and New Zealand Airways Apparently the international date line was not taken into account and I arrived in Sydney hours after my connecting flight to Auckland had already left! I talked to 7 different people in all corners of Sydney airport and no one knew what to do with me. My attempts to call Fiji Airways from my cell phone and then a landline at the airport didn't go through so I ended up messaging a friend in the States and she was able to call and get me booked on a NZ Air flight to Auckland that left the next morning. Both Jetstar and NZ Air gave me different information on what paperwork I needed and what my baggage and carry-on allowance was, which was frustrating. I finally arrived in Auckland 26 hours later than scheduled. I understand the cyclone cancelling the Fiji flights but the rescheduling error caused some significant expenses and a great deal of hassle."

Cons: ". I was shocked to see social distancing was not implemented with no seats apart and I was in the middle of four seats. If the journey is as important as the destination, then it already failed the minute I was seated in a very intimate setting alongside strangers and seeing the economy class fully booked. The airline defended this by saying they have special economy seats but I complained that this is not equitable since the seats are limited and not everyone could afford an upgrade. Even if they could, the passengers would still be seated side by side and the total number of passengers aboard a tight and enclosed space or load factor is still very high. The airline’s policy was so inconsistent with the very rigid rules of the different government agencies upon disembarkation."

Cons: "I did not like the smaller seats, spaces& the tv iPad . The stewardess were not quick assisting the passengers. They did not make sure the toilet supplies are replenished. The food were not good. I am a frequent flyer, the food they served were all the same."

Cons: "I paid $300 for 2 excess baggages, one of them they left behind in San Francisco, and the other one was mistagged, had a hard time claiming it as it was tagged to someone else. Had to prove them luggage was mine by taking contents out and showing them pictures of me actually wearing or using those that were in the luggage. As for the other missing baggage, who knows. Horrible experience."

Pros: "I liked the fact that it was relatively efficient terms of service on the plane. Flight attendants were courteous and hospitable, despite the fact that the flight was full. It was also a relatively smooth flight."
Cons: "First of all, it took a very long time to check-in, despite the fact that I had done web check-in the night before. I think a lot of people felt the same way. It took also a very long time before we took off. We were told that it was because of the luggage being loaded but it took almost 2 hours before we finally took off. In the plane, there was a man who was obviously intoxicated and was talking in a very loud voice. I think that someone should have spoken to him about his behavior and proper decorum on the plane. Also, the flight didn't have WiFi working on the plane as well (we were told that it wasn't working) and the seat back was broken. I wish that they had told us that ahead of time to manage expectations. I hope that the next flight that I take on Philippine Airlines will be better. I hope that these comments/suggestions will really be taken into consideration so that they can make their service even better because I would really want to use Philippine Airlines again."

Pros: "None. Seat was so uncomfortable and the food was not good at all and the service is very poor. This airline is the poorest service I have ever flown with."

Pros: "I was really amazed with all the staff working for the airline. They were all very nice and helped so much with my handicapped mother before, during, and after our flight. It was already a long flight and very difficult so the staff definitely helped tremendously. The staff were very accommodating all throughout the flight. Very impressive customer service."
Cons: "We didn't have much leg room for the long 14 hour flight. And the paper towels in the bathroom were a bit thin so it was hard to dry your hands after washing."

Pros: "Was able to use the wifi to access the internet for free for 30 minutes of the flight. Can pay $20 to have it through the entire flight but limited to on 150 MBs. Transfer at MNL for domestic flight was flawless."
Cons: "Seat cushion was very hard. No movies were available on the individual screens. I could not get the myPAL app to work with the wifi and use the entertainment options on it. This was on RP-C7775."

Pros: "Flight from SFO to Manila was fine. On time without delay. Once we landed in Manila, our connecting flight was delayed. We were stuck at Manila international airport and not allowed to leave after coming through immigration! 8 hours in a terrible airport with no proper restaurant or bar! Only snack and coffee shops. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so that we could have at least gone into town."

Cons: "Being in a cramped space for fourteen hours in opinion is torture, they need to give passengers who travel 12 hours more leg room I am 6'2" and being cramp is not good."

Cons: "We boarded early yet it took 45 minutes to take off. No complaints besides that."

Pros: "Left on time, super friendly staff which is rare in my other options (usa carriers), the only non stop flight without layover available to me, faster than before by an hour, food really pretty good for airline food and lots of it. Good entertainment options for no extra charge. Did not get nickel and dimed over crappy movies and a bag of peanuts like USA based airlines love to do. Will use again as usual."
Cons: "Nothing except business class is so damn expensive. I would love to try it someday."
