Cons: "Boarding in the rain is definitely not a good experience! The flight delayed so long that some of us who had connecting flights had to run from gate to gate (including clearing Canada customs) within 20 mins. Last but not least, Taipei Taiwan should NOT be listed as China."
Cons: "Terribly small seats"
Pros: "The best thing about the flight was the flight attendant Eric. He went out of his way to make everyone’s flight good. He was very professional and friendly."
Cons: "The only thing we didn’t like really was that the back rests didn’t recline and that there was no monitors/screens like other aircraft. Seemed very “budget” like."
Cons: "No more seats, rescheduled for the next day. poor service"
Pros: "Good transfer of bags through Toronto to Vancouver."
Cons: "Lax schedule, poor seating and comfort, poor food, charging for wine. Flight provided by Air Canada Rouge."
Pros: "Not much ch, safe arrival in BCN, the captains communication."
Cons: "The crew felt like they were wanting to yell at people and they took power pride actions to do so. If I did not know better, I thought there was a moment when the meal service was actually being tossed...but that would require effort and exertion. Asking for ice is a no no, please do not do so."
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "Our flight from Toronto to Houston was cancelled. The staff at the arrival counter was very slow and rude. We wanted to leave by the United flight which was leaving in an hour or so but the supervisor was not willing to do anything. We ordered Asian vegetarian food and it was horrible. Never again Air Canada."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing to like . Bad service all around. I will never fly AC again"
Cons: "Terrible employees in Miami. Rude and unhelpful. Delay due to late arrival. Then diverted to Toronto because of AUR CANADA'S STUPIDITY. Had to "sleep" in airport. Delayed leaving Toronto next day. Baggage lost. Lost day at work. A general NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH"
Pros: "Great crew and smooth flight. Boarding is a bit stressful because storage is eaten up quickly by other passengers. Great movie selection and decent food. Thank you!"
Pros: "Organised zones for boarding"
Cons: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."
Pros: "Crew we're very accommodating and friendly."
Cons: "Seats extremely narrow and back support non-existent."
Cons: "I was not expecting air canada rouge to be low cost and for a 6 hours flight they should have offered complimentary food ... it caught me by surprise"
Pros: "Not to have to change plane between Prague and Toronto."
Cons: "No entertainment on plane, so 9 hrs reading or looking into air. Employee did only what they has to do, had missing buttons on their uniforms, shoe which were not polished since they were new. Bathroom were running out of paper."
Pros: "Nice staff on board and in the airport. Left on time."
Cons: "Small plane not alot of storage space. Can carry small bags on board."
Pros: "Family emergency, changed flifgts home, we were treated very well, under the circumstances"
Cons: "Air Canada did everything wrong except for the actual flying of planes. Repeated delays and cancellations with NO organization or communication to the passengers. I made it to my final destination 24 hours later than original itinerary, almost all of which was spent in airport lines. My bag didn't arrive until 5 days later...on the wrong porch."
Pros: "Food and cocktails included alongwith entertainment"
Cons: "Hour late .. departure delayed ..pilots caught in traffic"
Pros: "Love, love, love flying on a Dash-8. Perfect size plane provides flying without all the hassles. From check-in to baggage pick-up, our flight was perfect. Thank you Air Canada for an enjoyable experience."
Pros: "courteous, helpful cabin crew on-flight entertainment gave abundant options"
Cons: "flight delayed because departure gate usurped by a Virgin America flight. inadequate seating area; too few seats; passengers boarding VA flight entered through seating area instead of directly."
Pros: "Overall it was a quick and painless flight. The crew was friendly and we had no problems!"
Pros: "For me this flight was great, I had a direct flight that otherwise.would have made me want to reconsider"
Cons: "Everything is extra, wifi is on the flight but it's a pay service, food, snacks, drinks all extra."
Pros: "On time and efficient"
Cons: "To pay American dollars for baggage on AC coming back to CANADA or to pay AT ALL for a bag"
Pros: "Generally the flight was just fine."
Cons: "Nothing stood out as being a problem."
Pros: "Quick and easy"
Cons: "Things Beyond your control as an airline... Two kids next to me vomiting for the last hour. And holy moly, Canadians from the Montreal area can talk! The entire flight was filled with passengers non stop talking. Not kidding. And apparently the norm is to say something and then repeat it four times just to be sure. I thought Americans were the most annoying talkers, turns out we have competition."
Pros: "I never got to Vancouver so this flight never happened."
Cons: "Air Canada was one hour late leaving the gate. This in fact was a great improvement as when we left Montreal on Dec.21 they were 4 hours late and in the best of xmas cheer didn't even offer us a free drink. Way to go AC."
Pros: "I think I got great fair, so thanks for that! getting a boarding pass was easy....it was nice experience."
Cons: "I know it is a short flight....but how much does it cost to offer a snack and drink....$4/5 may be. we start quite early from home....flight may be just 1 and half hour but total journey for us takes more than 4 hours."
Pros: "Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Boarding is horrible. Fees for taking bags cause everyone to carry-on and with too much on board an everyone has to wait while they transfer excess bags to beneath the plane. Food is poor. seats are cramped."
Pros: "Short enough flight."
Cons: "Entirely too little leg-room. Crew kept banging my elbow and knee with food cart-didn't really care either."
Pros: "The flights were on time, the seats were roomy, checkin went smoothly."
Cons: "The tray tables were filthy, there was food left in the seat pockets. Also there looked like dog feces on the ramp leading to the plane."
Cons: "I've never been on a transatlantic flight that didn't offer a drink with dinner. Plus, not having a TV screen for passenger's entertainment is out dated. Time to upgrade these planes, or don't use them for long haul flights"
Cons: "On my flight from Toronto to Vancouver on September 15 only one earphone worked and on the flight from Calgary to Toronto in September 21 the sound was patchy"
Pros: "Zoned boarding"
Cons: "Food limited and must be purchased. Entertainment must have downloaded app."
Pros: "I was barred from traveling, because Air Canada did not specify that an in-transit visa was necessary for South Africans traveling through their country to the US (where I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago). This blatant discrimination nearly caused me to be arrested and deported from China. It is also utterly unacceptable that Air Canada at no point tried to arrange an alternative flight and told to "just get another direct flight" as if buying plane tickets is in fact like taking the bus."
Cons: "I was barred from traveling, because Air Canada did not specify that an in-transit visa was necessary for South Africans traveling through their country to the US (where I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago). Pros: "Was not delayed"
Pros: "No entairtainment of any kind on an oversee flight ??? Flight attended had s bad attitude"
Cons: "No entairtainment of any kind on an oversee flight ??? Flight attended had s bad attitude"
Pros: "They were quick to bring meals and snacks. Friendly and accommodating flight crew."
Cons: "For a 9 hour flight, I would have preferred a heads up that there is no in-flight entertainment and you need to have a charged device of your own with the Air Canada app pre-installed. And if you didn't get that memo and you have an Apple device, you're out of luck. Otherwise you can rent an iPad for $10. The chairs were thin and flimsy making it difficult to sleep. And unfortunately we got a "window seat" that did not have a window. It was very disappointing."
Pros: "Comfy seats, awesome new movies to watch. Great staff, very helpful"
Cons: "No free snacks, I mean they came around with drinks but you had to pay for all of the food"
Pros: "We arrived to our destination safely"
Cons: "Overbooked flight Switched gates at the last minute before boarding--very confusing. Filthy bathrooms on plane Typical bad airline food; couldn't even break apart dinner roll it was so rubbery. No individual movie screens, had to use your own mobile device and earphones or pay $10 to use an ipad provided by the plane to access in-flight network. Overall very disappointing service. Expected much more from Air Canada."
Pros: "I liked that the flight was not completely full. we had a hard touchdown"
Cons: "1. These days, I have come to expect a complimentary in-flight entertainment system on international flights. This flight had nothing whatsoever. This is ok, but the customer should be warned when making the flight reservation so they can choose whether to bring an ipad along. 2. Food and service were not as good as a recent Air Canada return trip from Roma to Vancouver which had a first rate crew, food, and complimentary beer. 3. The plane was much older than the recent return trip I had and the air was much more dry."
Pros: "The commuter terminal in Toronto is a bit of a pit. Basically a glorified hallway, which gets pretty chaotic while you are waiting for your flight, and others are queuing up. For anyone with mobility challenges it is a long hike from the main terminal."
Pros: "No tv working. Surprise"
Pros: "service was wonderful and I appreciated the assistance in handling my luggage in Dublin"
Cons: "Nothing really"
Pros: "The flight was smooth and the attendants were awesome and friendly. Would highly recommend again when I visit Montreal again!"
Pros: "It was good!"
Pros: "Again, great crew."
Cons: "Boarding was misdirected and confusing, as Gate designation kept changing and airport staff was not very helpful."
Cons: "The announcement about turbulence were to much. Could have been way more subtle or shorter"
Pros: "Fast & efficient"
Cons: "Crew was strangely inflexible about rules that I had not encountered before- being only in ticketed seat until at altitude (the flight was very empty), only specific headphones during takeoff & ascent, no headphones or electronic devices at all during final descent and landing."
Pros: "There were delays beyond the pilot or crews control and they handled the situation in a very courteous and respectful way, much appreciated."
Pros: "Great staff, smooth flight"
Pros: "Big selection of movies if you have the United app."
Cons: "Tiny overheads in the 777 so they took carry-ons from at least half the people on the flight. Out of the hamburger by the time they left Economy Plus. Narrow seats, very little seat pitch. I am not quite 5' 10" and I only have a couple inches between my legs and the seatback. Similarly cramped restrooms."
Cons: "Extremely hot on the plane."
Pros: "Good, professional, friendly crew."
Cons: "Comfort is so so, food is plentiful and tasty but the overall quality has gone down over the past several years. Fees for luggage and other services are absurd."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Leaving crying babies at home..."
Pros: "I got to Taipei in 1 piece"
Cons: "Just can’t beat Asian or mid western carriers for courtesy"
Pros: "No delays or cancellations occured!"
Cons: "Plane space for feet is terrible. I'm a small person and it is crammed, very uncomfortable seats. Also, electrical outlets didn't work most of the time"
Pros: "Cabin crew from Palm Springs to Bozeman superior. Flight attendant deliberate, kind, welcoming, attentive."
Cons: "Cannot wait for the day that each seat will have outlets for devices. So tired of having to figure out what device to charge in the very few outlets in the terminal, and then boarding with no outlets in seats. silly in 2019. And floor in entryway wasn't very clean when we boarded."
Pros: "The crew was great. The seats, though cramped, were nice to have electronic device holders instead of built in screens."
Cons: "The flight was 9 hours and they didn't provide any meals. That's ridiculous. When I fly with any other airline for over 7 hours I've always gotten 1 meal, if not 2. The food for purchase however, was very good. But they should not expect you to pay."
Pros: "All flights were on time or early and luggage made it to final destination with me."
Cons: "Wish they had another snack option besides just pretzels."
Pros: "Easy short flight."
Cons: "Plane was pretty compact and crowded."
Pros: "Flight arrived on time even after being a few minutes delayed."
Cons: "Gate change was a bit annoying."
Pros: "Pilot made up for delayed departure by landing only 20 minutes behind schedule."
Cons: "45 minutes Delayed departure. Pretzels and drinks were only provided in a 3 1/2 hour flight..."
Pros: "Plane size"
Cons: "Pilot driving way to fast"
Cons: "Customs bus at LAX was 30 minutes late picking us up from flight"
Cons: "Entertainment didn't work, sits very uncomfortable and the plane was not for a 9 hours flight it was more for a 4 hours flight."
Pros: "Without letting me know to a bad one where I had no empty seat next to me I looked to my original seat was given to someone else"
Pros: "Legroom - they held flgt"
Cons: "terminals too far apart for reasonable transfer"
Pros: "I liked a straight nonstop flight. Clean and comfortable."
Cons: ""Free WiFi, not free.""
Pros: "We got to Lisbon"
Cons: "The entertainment system in 36E didn't work. The sound in 36D what a lot of noise (it made it unusable)."
Pros: "Also united forced me to check my bags because I got a basic economy flight will never use them again it cost an extra 50 dollars."
Cons: "Also united forced me to check my bags because I got a basic economy flight will never use them again it cost an extra 50 dollars. The one guy on board was creepy Newark airports eating system made me go to 3 different iPads one for food one for drink and one to pay. Just let me pay when I order!!! Also bad signage"
Cons: "Didn't make this flight either. Still in Dallas"
Pros: "Everything for this flight was as expected for my ticket purchase."
Cons: "I had no problems with this flight."
Pros: "Boarded on time."
Cons: "Houston had a 40 minute wait on the runway"
Pros: "Even though the plane was having a lot of issues the crew stayed positive and the captain came out and spoke to us directly. Even though it was a crappy flight I was happy it wasn't cancelled."
Cons: "The plane had almost no AC and there was a landing gear issue that needed to be fixed. So that held us up for an hour at the gate. The plane ride was pretty hot due to the lack AC."
Cons: "Between the rude gate agents and rude the flight attendants on the food and beverage service. Along with the wifi connectivity not working. I really found this flight way below United's standards."
Cons: "Over an hr late departing :-("
Pros: "The crew was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Water and drinks were offered regularly. For those who had the app there was inflight entertainment. We paid for plus size seats and had enough leg room."
Cons: "I believe that on the long flights built in entertainment screens should be standard. Most people did not have the app and many spent 8.5 hours without anything to do. Food is not offered on this long flight unless you pay for it. You must walk to the very back of the plane where the food is in warmers. I got a hamburger and it was a bit dried out. Could have been worse...just hard to handle since tomato, lettuce and condiments were on the side. A larger person sat next to me and took use of the armrest between us which made me feel like I lost 4 inches of my personal space."
Pros: "All United personnel I dealt with were polite, courteous, and professional."
Cons: "Very little leg room. Very little!"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and efficient. Snacks - coffee and stroopwaffle were MUCH better than what is typically available without cost."
Cons: "Engine noise made safety instruction and pilots commentary incomprehensible. Plane was equipped with wifi, BUT you needed to download an app to get access - which is a catch 22. Couldn't download the app because I needed wifi access, which I couldn't get without the app!"
Pros: "First time flying united. It was a little rough landing back in Memphis though. I'm not sure what that was all about."
Pros: "The flight attendants were great and took the time to care for passengers. One guy was suffering from a migraine and the flight attendants did all they could to assist the gentleman with his issues."
Pros: "Smooth takeoff and landing. Luckily no turblance. Crew members were helpful and courteous, and added a little humor to their jobs. Good job!"
Pros: "On time, good service"
Pros: "Fast flight home"
Cons: "The 3 hr layover in Houston"
Cons: "My name is Elizabeth and everything was OK"
Pros: "Same as above."
Cons: "Same as above"
Pros: "That I arrived to Memphis on time!"
Cons: "That the air isn't on until its time to board, instead of being a lil before its time to board."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Didnt like the isle seat. Felt a little tight."
Cons: "My flight to Houston was delayed so I missed my other flight to Calgary. I had the most imported meeting at work that I will miss because I am stuck here until 8 o clock in the morning! I've been in the airport and they did not give me a hotel or vouchers for food or ANYTHING! Most horrible experience with United airline! NEVER fly with them!!!"
Pros: "Pittsburgh International Airport's wheelchair service was excellent (provided separate from United Airlines)."
Cons: "I was traveling for the first time in crutches. As soon as I approached the check-in counter, the lady at the counter asked me rudely "Are you checking in any luggage?". I first told her that I requested assistance getting to the gate and asked if it would be by a wheelchair or a cart. She didn't answer the question, and repeated the same question. Since I had one carry-on size bag, I asked if I need to check it in, or if I can bring it with me when they help me get to the gate. To which she replied in a very irritated tone, "I'm asking you if you need to check it in! Can you bring the bag on-board and put it away in the overhead bin YOURSELF WITHOUT ANY HELP?", hinting that no one will provide any help... At this point, I went ahead and checked in my bag. Thank God the wheelchair service is provided by a separate vendor, because he was wonderful and helpful. While we waited to board, the flight was delayed a few times. I could not hear the announcement from where I was sitting, but I noticed people started to make a line by the central info counter. 4:42pm, I received the cancellation notice via email. Because of my injury, I was unable to wait in line for long, so I chose to sit and wait next to the counter, until the line got shorter. 1 hour later, the line was growing even longer. 6pm, I re-booked a new flight for the next day via iPhone app, however, it was still showing the old boarding pass that I was automatically re-booked for. I still had to talk to someone from United to confirm, also to ask for wheelchair to get back to the main building, so I continued to wait. At one point, one of the United employees moved to the side counter to make a call re: another flight that arrived. I went and stood right in front of her and said "Excuse me, I have a quick question about wheelchair service". She looked at me right in my eyes, but she started talking to the other person on the phone. After she hung up, she ignored me and went back to the center counter, leaving me confused as to what just happened... At this point, I did not even want to make another attempt to ask for help. 7:20pm, the line went down to 3 people; a gentleman with a bad knee, another gentleman with a bad leg and myself on crutches... Am I the only one to think there is something wrong with this picture? 7:40pm, I was finally on the way back to the main building with a wheelchair service, which by the way is run by a group of amazing people. I am not complaining about the delays and cancellations. I understand it happens. I am not expecting that someone like me with temporary disability automatically receives first place in line. I do, however, wish United was more aware of some people who are in need of assistance, while being fair to other passengers. I cannot imagine how difficult it is for people with disabilities to travel with United Airlines."
Pros: "More comfortable"
Cons: "Lots of turbulence"
Pros: "On time and even early"
Cons: "Return flight wouldn't allow overhead cartons but made it up by bringing carry on to us"
Pros: "Crew were great"
Pros: "The staff was wonderful."
Cons: "The return flight was delayed several hours however there were several emails updating the status of the flight."
Pros: "crew was friendly"
Cons: "Nice flight attendants"
Pros: "It was good"
