I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Overall this may have been THE MOST COMFORTABLE coach flight I've experienced since the airline industry started herding people like cattle. I think the armrests may have actually reached high enough to BE an armrest. Individual video in seat backs was perfect with touch screen and more movies than I could count, music, tv show series, and more. $2 headsets for sale if your forgot to bring yours. All in all this was a fantastic experience. Delta, keep this up and people will actually choose you over other airlines. I know I will."

Cons: "My flight from Veracruz to Mexico City was canceled at the last minute and the entire itinerary was changed without notifying me. I found out the night before I was supposed to fly and spent over an hour on the phone with Delta, on and off hold, only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to call Aeromexico. Which I had already tried. Aeromexico stated I needed to call Delta. The back and forth was absolutely ridiculous and made even more difficult by the language barriers. There was a 6am flight that I could have been placed on in order to make my original connections, but by the time the Delta took me off hold, they told me it had been booked up. Instead they had automatically placed me on a flight 5 hours later, with a 6 hour layover in Mexico city, then to Las Vegas, and on a redeye to Charlotte (absurd considering my original itinerary had me arriving in to Charlotte at 9pm with reasonable layover times)."

They made an extra effort to toss each bag IN THE AIR so it lands with a thud. Seriously apalling!"

Pros: "It was a basic flight. Their check in system was down so they had to hand write boarding passes and baggage tags. They were professional and patient even when a customer started cursing because his bags could not be checked all the way to his final destination due to the computer issues."
Cons: "When you have a family emergency the last thing you ever want to hear is that you are "completely full and you will need to wait until the next available flight". This ticket was purchased last minute due to an unexpected death in the family so it was the only option we had to get my uncle to LA asap in order to be with the family during such tragedy. We even bought the insurance on the flight to assure nothing went wrong but yet he was still left behind hours to wait for another flight and see IF THAT ONE had room. How is this even possible? Why would you even let us book if there was no room and why was he the one to be asked to stay behind? Is it because it was booked though you? because it was a third party booking and not direct? If so then it's not even worth the few dollars we saved if it means the flight will be unreliable and the insurance means absolutely nothing through you guys. Ultimately, truly disappointing and I know that we can not depend on booking this way again if in your policy it states this ist ok to do and not even compensate one bit for making your travelers go though this."

Cons: "In flight 1, from São Paulo to Mexico City, my husband and I were separated. It was suggested by the stewardess for him to move to another seat 20 rows away due to his size. Instead of separating two people, why not ask the single person if she would rather have more room. But the steward said only one of us could move, me or my husband. The reason he was moved was that there were two empty seats, so he could sit comfortably; however, no one told the woman sitting in the three seat aisle that he would be sitting there. So she basically took over her seat and the neighbouring one. The crew should have been the one to inform her the reason for his move there. It was a horrible and unnecessary experience. Because of my husband's size, I am needed to help him with his tray and I had his medication."

Then my girlfriend and I proceeded to be profiled and had our bags searched. If I didn't have to be in OKC I would avoid that airport like the plague. Unprofessional."

May have been due to the holidays, but Volaris just charged me MORE for a bag during the holidays. We boarded on time and landed early. Our baggage came fairly quickly as well. Those are important things to me (especially if I have to catch a bus or a connecting flight) I'll definitely use Viva Aerobus again!!"

At the first time when I showed up at my gate 17A , 50 minutes before the departure there was a lot of people waiting for flight to Hermosillo , not the Cancun. ( wasn’t any information about Cancun flight on information display) When I asked crew from desk about my flight to Cancun they told that I need to wait for announcement . I left for 20 minutes , when back 20 minutes before my departure time on my gate crew told me that my flight it’s gone. I didn’t hear any announcement about it. They didn’t change me for another flight , only the told me that they can change my ticket for the flight which is 18 hours later."

They aggressively tried to take my carryon and told me I had to pay 41$ per bag or I could not get on plane. Only when I asked for a manager and found someone to interpret for me and show with a measuring tape and we did they allow me on... total scam - the gate attendant conned at least 15 people before us that had smaller bags that they had to pay (very aggressively in Spanish and many passengers did not speak Spanish so gave in and payed just to get on flight). Once on the flight- you can adjust your seat which for me wasn’t a big deal at 5’1” but any taller would be an issue. You pay for even water on this flight."
