I was lucky to have an empty middle seat (which merits the "good" rating over the "okay"), but even with that, maneuvering was difficult (trying to get stuff from the carry on stored beneath the seat, etc.). Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."

Other airlines will give you great snacks, tooth brush, night mask, etc but not Air New Zealand they are almost like a budget airline. Not sure how they are rated the best airline."

Cons: "Even though i was booked on Air NZ, the flight was operated through Virgin Australia. This was only an issue when i tried to check in at Air NZ and was directed over to Virgin Australia. Once i found the right ticket counter to check in, i found that there was an extra baggage fee of NZ$130 that i had to pay to check my bag. Also, dinner seemed to be included for just about everyone sitting around me, and it was not included for me. I don't remember having the option of booking dinner with my flight. The agent at the Virgin Australia counter mentioned that this often happens when booking flights through the websites that are not the carrier's direct website. I have used others before, and not had these same issues... oh well - i guess that's what i get for booking through FlightNetwork.com. I'll probably go directly to airline websites in the future."

If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

Cons: "Basically I had 4h of connection in Mexico City and even so Aeromexico made me miss the flight to extort money. After arriving in Mexico City Took 1.5 hours to get the bags. Then another 0.5 h for re-inspection. After 2h they still had not set the boarding gate so I went to the international boarding area. As I was close the gates 30 min before boarding I decided to look for my gate and to my surprise they changed to the national boarding on the opposite side where it should be. I arrived at the gate 15 min before the scheduled departure time and the plane had already taken off without announcing my name! From that moment Aeromexico totally abandoned me! Basically the only solution they offered me was to buy a new ticket for Houston for $ 1,400.00 because there was no place on any flight! I missed my work day, my US phone did not work in Mexico City and I thought I had to sleep at the airport! Thank goodness the airport's consumer protection staff helped me a lot. They somehow managed an Aeromexico flight on the same day with no additional cost. The flight I got there were 4 empty seats and they were trying to charge me $1,400. Shame on you Aeromexico."

Cons: "One hour delay on account of missing signatures from some mechanic according to the captain’s weak and shallow account of the facts. Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. Instead, the bozo at the Admiral’s Club entrance in Terminal A A23 indicated that only Mexico City passengers were allowed into the Club even if as a GDL passenger I had a 1st class boarding pass. Poor and misguided management of the moment of truth on behalf of your employee with a 1 Million Miler customer. My experience recently with Delta and United has been with more open minded, customer centric and better trained airline staff. Disappointing and hope someone will read this and let me know that my note was heard. What is next?"

Cons: "This was my final connection from a long flight, we did a line to check in and get our boarding passes, when we got to the gate I found out I didn’t have a seat number asigned but husband did, they gave me one there but of course it was not next to my husband, it was the last seat available at the end next to restroom. The smell coming out from the it was so disgusting even before th first person went in, they should do something to improve the cleaness in the restroom between flights. It would probably take them 30 more minutes to do so, and I would not mind waiting for it even if this was my final flight after 15+ hours."

Cons: "Boarding was delayed 30 minutes, with no explanation. Upon arrival, another airplane was in our gate, resulting in an additional 30 minute wait, buckled in my seat on the tarmac."

Cons: "When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed."

Cons: "What poor services all round. The check in staff where on the phone or talk to themselves. No one even spoke to me at checkin. Then the boarding staff were so rude, they act like they own the plane and they are god. They would not answer anyone questions and just pointed at the screen. The airplane staff hello at least. But the food very so bad, even easyjet has better food. Also their understanding for the english was so poor but the air stewardess told me " we speak American" !!!!"

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

This was around lunch time; when I finally decided to buy lunch in the terminal, the departure time was changed again to an EARLIER time, and I had to board without food."

There weren't that many people in the lines, so I was wondering why. His partner at the other podium watched him quizzically, as did I, as he paced left and right, looking at nothing then sat back down again and stared at nothing. All the while the line for screening grew smaller and smaller. The other agent asked him, "what are you doing?" He responded by saying, "You said you were getting THEM all." I didn't understand, but clearly there was some subtext that I was not privy to. She shook her head and said, come up here sweetie. Then she managed to do what he obviously couldn't do: his job. Then my girlfriend and I proceeded to be profiled and had our bags searched. If I didn't have to be in OKC I would avoid that airport like the plague. Unprofessional."

I begged not to have to check because I was flying to Nicaragua and was worried my only bag would get lost. I was right -- it did not arrive in Nicaragua until the next day. We sat on runway for 45 minutes before departure so United could fix BOTH sets of the plane's wings lights. Why did they not discover that at any time BEFORE we all boarded or while we were boarding -- NOT first when deciding to pull away from gate. Delay caused many to miss connections."
