I am incredibly happy with my Air China experience. Crew worked diligently to create a good experience, and was kind when I was having difficulty communicating. The food was surprisingly fabulous! Authentic Chinese cuisine and tasty. Several passengers did not review the regulations and were pretty rude when Air China crew told them to turn off and put away cell phones. Crew handled this well.
Bathrooms were not very clean. I didn't realize until halfway through the flight that we needed to get our own beverages and throw away our own trash (different than the other airlines)- would have appreciated this being announced. I was confused during boarding process about when to stand and when to board, but watched the people around me and figured it out. We took off late/ landed late, but I was able to make my connection in Beijing without any stress so was happy.

The food was aweful, but it's airplain food, usually it's aweful. There wasn't an entertainment system for each seat. Instead there was a bigger screen for every I don't know how many rows.
Food was good. Flight attendants were good.
Tiny beds in business class with two-across seating so the window passenger has to climb over the aisle passenger. Are they stuck in the 90s? I won't fly with them again. Boarding in Beijing for Manila was a free for all. Business class was not called first. Isn't this why I pay triple the coach fare? No English language newspapers from Los Angeles to Beijing.
Despite somewhat limited English skills, the crew were very professional and pleasant. The flight was overall, a wuccess, and I would absolutely fly air china again.
The food on this leg of the trip was hit and miss. The food o. The first leg was very good. They have a ways to go to being their catering up to the level of some other airlines, he is been an overall positive experience.
I didn't know when I was supposed to board or what the process was, and the crew wasn't helpful to me when I asked. Maybe language barrier?
Thankful for coffee being served without charge. Not all airlines do that.
Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again.
