Iceland has restricted the entry of all travelers who are not nationals of EEA/EFTA Member States, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland or Vatican City or their families.
Travelers with residence permits issued by Schengen Member States may still enter the country.
Travelers that residents and traveling from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea or Thailand may also enter the country.

All arriving travelers will undergo 2 tests to screen for SARS-CoV-2 and diagnosis of COVID-19, with quarantine in between. The first test is performed upon arrival and the second one 5 days later. Travelers quarantine period will end as soon as they receive a negative result from the second test.

Travelers who have confirmed with PCR-testing or antibody testing from an EU/EFTA state that they have previously had a COVID-19 infection are exempt from quarantine.

Cons: "Our flight from Chicago to Paris was managed by Finnair, but flown through American Airlines. This was the second disappointing flight on American Airlines. Our first flight was repeatedly delayed over three hours and then canceled. Everyone had to take a new flight the next day on the same plane which was scheduled to be fixed that morning prior to departure. We boarded the plane 45 minutes late and then were informed that the part needed to fix the plan had just cleared customs. After another hour of waiting on the plane, we taxied to the runway and the returned to the gate because another part needed to be fixed on the plane. We waited another hour and a half on the plane before finally taking off. Upon our arrival at Chicago O'Hare, we waited on the tarmac for 30 minutes before the ground crew parked our plane. Which brings me to this flight from Chicago O'Hare to Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Our flight was delayed for maintenance repeatedly for 2 hours and then a new plane had to be brought over. By the time we boarded we were almost four hours behind schedule due to a logbook problem once we boarded the new plane. The plane itself was small - the size of a domestic flight - and VERY cramped. On both of the flights we had no TVs in the headrest. This is something that I have always had in economy class on international flights. It was by far the most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. Because of the delay, we had to reschedule one of our two connecting flights. I was assured that our bags would still arrive at our final destination. When we finally reached our final destination, we found out that our bags had been lost along the way - most likely because of the flight being rescheduled."

Cons: "I STRONGLY encourage you to move away from offering EVERY passenger a small bottle of cold water when boarding! Please think about just how many plastic bottles are being needlessly created and then thrown away EVERY DAY! The water is apparently from some very good spring in Iceland... but think about all the plastic bottles that are going to was up on your shores EVERY DAY! It's a very bad trade-off if you ask me. (Which you did via this questionnaire.) And on a loosely related point... At Reykjavik airport (which was a packed chaotic mess the day we passed through) I could only find ONE fountain (downstairs by the toilets) where passengers could refill drinking bottles. I went down three times to fill our bottle and every time there was a line of at least 10 folks. Clearly people want to use refillable bottles but it sure makes it hard when there is only one location to do it. Throw in at least a half dozen of them around the airport please."

Cons: "The aircraft was so small there was not enough room for even most standard size carry-ons. The crew were not patient and gave passengers attitude for trying to bring their carry-ons onboard. On the way back from Toronto, we were sitting on the runway for more than one hour waiting for "de-icing". If this is a recurring thing, why not time the arrivals and departures better to avoid making people sit there, disconnected from everything and waiting? Also the screen on my "entertainment center" was broken but thankfully I had my own book to read. Air Canada has not had the most welcoming crew or most up to date fleet in my experience; I fly with them mostly because of their cheap fares. I guess "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"."

Cons: "The check-in person said my baggage (oversized, and a keyboard) would make it through to my final destination even though I had another flight on a separate reservation. I specifically asked because I wanted to know if I needed to pick it up when I landed after the first leg in Toronto. He said I'd only have to go through customs and my bag will make it all the way home to Vancouver. Well, I felt weird about it and when I got off in Toronto I noticed that my baggage receipt said Toronto on it (not Vancouver). I decided to forego the connections gate because I was unsure. Lucky that I did because lo and behold, my keyboard bag was waiting for me at baggage claim. Had I trusted the check-in guy, I would've possibly lost over $1000 worth of equipment. That's not something that can easily be forgiven."

I was uncomfortable the entire time. this was a redeye flight, departing at midnight. the cabin lights stayed on for the first hour making it impossible to dose off. we were given a 'snack' of a disgusting chicken wrap slathered in mayo. it was inedible. oh, and accompanied by a large kitkat bar. I mean. Who came up with this combo? there were no screens, no in flight entertainment unless you wanted to run down your phone battery or rent an ipad for $10. I was truly disappointed."

Since I go to Canada only rarely, I ended up essentially losing the money I spent for train fare and having to pay another $145 for the rental car. Got to Quebec at 11:30 p.m. instead of 3:55 p.m. Not happy."
Pros: "1) Skycap service for boarding at Reagan National was exceptional. I requested wheelchair assistance for this return flight and the attendant gave 100% service, getting me through security and on to the boarding gate lounge area in short order. He was very pleasant and very helpful. 2) The pilots did a good job of flying, The flight was smooth as was the landing. We left Reagan a few minutes late but arrived at Pearson 16 minutes early. I liked that!"
Cons: "1) I paid extra money for a "preferred seat" because my recent hip replacement surgery required that I have ample leg room while sitting. Leg room for the first row econonomy seat I got was barely adequate. I felt cheated out of the $15 I paid for the seat (which should have been complimentary, in my opinion 2) Food service was terrible. For a 1 o'clock flight, having to get to the airport 2-3 hours ahead of departure, meant that I was in need of some serious food, not the tiny package of pretzels and the cup of tea I got. Even a couple of cookies or a muffin would have been a better offering. 3) The wheelchair assistance that I requested did not materialize for me on arrival at Pearson. I felt so cramped from sitting that I was eager to get up and try to walk, no matter how slowly, the distance to Customs and through to the exit gate to wait for my ride home. That's what I did, and I never saw a wheelchair attendant coming with a wheelchair as I exited. That is poor service! I am comparing this to the excellent service I got with American Airlines on the first leg of my trip from Toronto to DC."
