Pros: "This was the SECOND cancelled flight from Alaska on this trip. I called customer service and rebooked on Delta. I was shocked alaska cancelled both legs of the trip and made my travel day home about 7 hours when the flight was 1 hour... not impressed. Will look to book delta in the future for this leg."

Cons: "Checking in was a nightmare. First time of Alaska. Can't check baby items for free like on other airlines. KTN was not entered on tickets so didn't have the pre-check I paid for. Agent asked for ID then after those were put away asked for passports so had to dig back through bag. Had to lift suitcase on scale 2 times to get to 50 pounds, then 3rd time agent finally said we could just put the items we removed on the scale instead. Attitude from agent at check-in and at the gate were miserable and snotty! Will NOT fly again!"

I had to wait until the following morning to get my luggage. I have a headache. I asked Alaska for a room to catch some sleep and they said "call customer service". My phone battery was out because my charger was in my checked bag."

We were rebooked for the soonest flight the next morning and told that a hotel would be provided free of charge. Upon arriving in Seattle, that was not the case. The best we were offered was food vouchers, which normally might not have bothered me as much, except that I am pregnant. Sleeping on airport benches at 6 months pregnant is ridiculous!"

Pros: "my original flight got canceled due to weather. I had heard horror stories about having to reschedule flights, but that was no my experience! In a short 5 minute phone call I was on the next safe flight out only 2 hours behind my regular schedule and they were really nice during the whole conversation!"

Cons: "How disorganized the whole process of rebooking our flights was. I ended up having to switch long lines and they booked me on ab 8pm GEG to SEA, 12:45pm SEA to ORD, 10:50am ORD to MSP. This is crazy. I ended up just booking myself on another flight on another airline. Why couldn't they offer alternative airlines to me in the first place?"

Cons: "The whole day was a disaster and it felt like the entire Alaska airlines was in a shambles. The first flight was delayed because they couldn't find a crew to get there in time. Once crew did show up, there was no sense of urgency and ground ops even seemed lethargic. Missed my connecting flight. Rebooked on a later flight which was then subsequently delayed another hour. The whole trip took twice as long as it should have."

Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

Cons: "AA didn't notify me of their change to my itinerary so I missed my flight, they cancelled my return flight from Europe, and only offered to refund my ticket when I spoke to a supervisor. I drove 5.5 hours to another city to catch a flight to Europe, believing my return ticket was valid as AA first told me, only later to learn they cancelled it. Thanks to AA, I currently I have no return ticket. Others on this flight and on my later Iberia flight were cursing AA loudly so I don't think my issue is an anomaly, but is more likely AA's new standard of conduct."

Pros: "Help that I received from check in through security to the gate was awesome. The person who checked me in offered me a wheelchair as it was a pretty long distance to the gate. I don't think that I would have made it all the way without her for thought and help! Same goes after the flight when we landed in Philadelphia. From the plane to gather my luggage and then to the place where my ride could pick me up. Awesome service. The stewards were also very helpful to keep me supplied with ice for my dogs. They get very stressed and tend to overheat. Thanks to a couple of the staff, especially, my dogs stayed very comfortable as well. Other then the fact that they got too warm a couple of times. Will definitely keep American in mind for another flight."

They were getting very warm and I spent a great deal of time fanning them when I could have just let the air do it's job."

Cons: "Our flight from Seattle to JFK was delayed over 11 hours, not because of weather or mechanical issue, but because a flight attendant fell ill and American Airlines had no one to take his or her place. They had to fly in an employee from Texas to cover the shift. Are you kidding me? I understand there are unforeseen events but any reputable airline should have a personnel contingency plan better than that. As a result, we lost a whole day of our vacation, missed our Broadway performance, and others missed their business meetings. All the alerts informing us of the delay were sent long after they already occurred. I will avoid flying American again at all costs."

He provided us information on location, altitude, and let us know when to expect turbulence which I thought was great, as many do not communicate much with the passengers. Also the plane was in good conditions and was comfortable."

Cons: "AA version of the 737 is very cramped, small seats with little room and very upright, barely recline if at all. Also, unlike other airlines they installed metal boxes underneath the seats for the life vests which take up a third of your leg room. Overhead air barely blows and the overall temp was a little too warm for comfort even while just wearing shorts and a T-shirt. Lights were bright for first half of the trip until they finished drink service even though flight started at midnight."
