The second flight Alaska Airlines from Washington DC to Portland was delayed, but I never flew. I got a direct flight from American Airlines from Charlotte to Portland instead."

Cons: "Didn't realize the seat I selected didn't recline because it was in front of the exit row. I sat straight up for 5 hours and 10 minutes. I wish I would have known this at the time of booking. That was extremely uncomfortable. When I asked the crew about it, they said "yup sorry year seat doesn't recline because it's near an exit row." No apologies, no concern, no trying to find an alternate solution. I couldn't figure out how to work the Wi-Fi and so I asked a crew member and she was less concerned about trying to help me figure it out and was more concerned about trying to get me to rent an iPad."

Cons: "The flight left two hours late. Apparently this happens a lot with this flight these days because it's an Airbus 380 coming from Paris to Dulles and turning around. The incoming flight was two hours late, so the departure was late. Our arrival in Paris was late. We made the flight, but our luggage didn't. Our return flight from Paris to Dulles was half an hour late because of people from connecting flights. We arrived about 30 minutes late, but no big deal (unless you had a connection)"

Cons: "We left DC late because of Delta's inefficient boarding process. We landed in Atlanta late. Our flight to Sioux Falls left early, without us. My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

Also I didnt like that i had to stand and wait for 3 hours in the line because my flight was canceled but no one could let us know if there gonna be any flights within the day. I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever."

The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

Flying has become ridiculous and I try not to as much as I can."

The only thing they did was bring a snack cart over for us, and that got raided by children so many people didn't get anything. We had arranged transport from Orlando to Tampa for that evening, and our rides had to cancel because instead of 7pm we were now arriving at 130am. Your airline's mistakes put everyone at an inconvenience and we weren't offered assistance to fix it. My husband went to ask for help in arranging new transport home, but he couldn't even get to the front of the line. The customer service was terrible. We really enjoyed our first leg of the flight home with American Airlines, but after the second leg and all of the problems we had... we will not fly with American Airlines in the future."

BA used to do short science programmes which I loved. Shame these have finished."

Cons: "Heading from BWI to Newark to Boston on 9/29 on United. There were delays at Newark airport which lasted about an hour, and meant that we would be super tight getting in for our connecting flight. We had been told ahead of the departure of the delayed flight that there would be someone on the ground at Newark monitoring the delayed connecting flights, in case a flight needed to be held. Well, we actually landed about 15 minutes before our connecting flight was due to take off. However, we quickly found out that not only were the gates closed early, but the flight tracker was showing the flight had actually left early. There was clearly no communication between on the ground crews, and everyone working at the airport once we landed seemed confused about the situation. By the time we got within eyeshot of our gate, the gate agents were telling us that the Boston flight was already closed. This meant that no one was even monitoring the situation for us, and that they made no effort to hold the plane for the five of us who were supposed to be on that flight. Additionally, that was the last flight to Boston from Newark, so they literally didn't give one iota of care for our situation. I had a 10am wedding to attend that next day, and even after telling the agent this information she still asked me whether I wanted to get on a 10:38am flight to Boston, which made exactly zero sense. After all of this, she ended up getting me on a flight into manchester (that flight had been delayed for 3 hours by this time, and was delayed again after I was booked on it) which landed at 1:24am, a full two hours and some change after I would have landed in Boston, and a full hour away from Boston. Luckily, my boyfriend had his car and was able to pick me up. I finally got to Boston around 2:45am. My suggestion to the airport crews is to actually communicate when you have issues like this. It wasn't our fault, but we were greatly inconvenienced and they did not make an effort to prevent the situation at all. Adding to this, our pilot for that first flight told us that the reason for the first delay was that Newark was congested with too many flights into and out of the airport. THAT is entirely their fault for not being able to properly gauge their own capacity and should not have ended up inconveniencing passengers! I end all this with an additional inconvenience- when I arrived for my flight on Sunday at 4:40am for a 5:55am flight back to DC, I was told that my return flight had been CANCELED. Somehow, in rebooking me on the flight to Manchester. So I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with United to get that fixed at 5 in the morning and nearly missed my return flight due to crew incompetence as well."

Pros: "Flight attendants were pleasant."
Cons: "No snack or drink was offered."

Cons: "At the plane door, the crew had me check a carry-on bag, saying they had no more room in the plane. When we got off the plane, others were pulling two and three items out of the overhead storage compartment."

Pros: "Friendly service! Good legroom"

Pros: "No problems on the way home."
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "The flight attendants were courteous. Boarding was quick and seamless."
Cons: "The room was very tight and seems like we were shoved into a plane and into our seats if if we were cattle. Flight was as expected dull and uncomfortable."

Pros: "Both flight were delayed and I had to reschedule my flights and miss my arrangements."
Cons: "It looks like that there is no respect for Time ."

Pros: "Short flight, so no food or entertainment"

Pros: "Despite delay, pilot made up time in air and we made our connection in Denver. Advice to download United app for free entertainment ahead of takeoff meant we didn't miss the chance to offer movies to our kids on flight. In-flight crew was incredibly friendly/helpful."
Cons: "Gate attendant was INCREDIBLY unfriendly - made no eye contact or completely ignored our verbal greetings/thanks during early boarding w/ our young child. Delayed an hour out of Baltimore, we were worried we'd miss our connection."

Cons: "We were boarded on a plane that was missing a part and sat for an hour and a half. Then we were taken off that plane and put on another with no money back or any sort of sorry. Had to miss work that night so it cost me money out of pocket."

Cons: "No extra creature comforts."

Pros: "The connecting plane once we got to Newark NJ was great, staff, flight, clean , and spacious. The pilot was great at communicating too."
Cons: "The smaller plane when we first boarded was a bad experience from walking down a lot of stairs with my luggage to the terrible male Asian flight attendant that wasn't customer friendly. He actually said to a male customer when a question was asked" what do you want me to do". Then a terribly long walk up and down stairs with luggage to board another plane at Newark at 6:30am."

Pros: "Excellent attentive care."
Cons: "My first 5 hour long flight did not have a complimentary snack."

Pros: "Horrible Nightmare"

Pros: "My hubby enjoyed his trip...he said they were on time...will also give it a shot myself...thanks"

Pros: "Small planes make it easier to embark and disembark. It was on schedule on both legs, but changing terminals (on a bus) for the connecting flight was a drag."

Cons: "Twelve hours of horrible delays, missed connections, and running through airports due to poor aircraft maintenance and mechanical problems. Will never fly United again if I have a choice."

Cons: "TV was able to look at what I want without paying.. my hubby work for AT&T we have discount with DIRECTV-- you should market your ride who have At&T DIRECTV with there account it free to watch. Market & promote more people would ride United/go United"

Cons: "Service was poor, the plane smelled, the seats were dirty, had gum all over the place. The boarding process was slow, the fact that you have to pay for basic entertainment is a rip off. I got news for you United, adding a simple USB port to all of your seats won't hurt, we live in a 21st century. Your airline is a disgrace to what Bill Boreing had managed. I plan to fly Delta or Southwest where planes are clean, staff is friendly, and basic entertainment is free."
