Top tips for finding cheap flights to Nepal

  • Washington, D.C. has two major airports: Dulles International (IAD) and Reagan National (DCA). Dulles offers extensive international connections, often providing more flight options to Nepal. Meanwhile, DCA's proximity to the city center offers convenience, with quicker access to the airport, but these flights will typically require an additional stop.
  • For budget travelers, flights from Reagan National Airport (DCA) offer more affordable fares. However, these flights typically include two layovers, often resulting in extended connection times and potentially reaching your destination by the following day or even later.
  • Qatar Airways is known for its generous baggage policy. Flying to Nepal on Economy Lite, you’ll be allowed to bring a carry-on bag along with a checked bag weighing up to 50 lbs. When you upgrade to Economy Classic, you will have one more checked bag added to your allowance.
  • Upgrade your Air India experience on this long-haul flight with Upgrade+. Check the eligibility for your flight, select an upgrade up to 12 hours before departure, and submit your bid. If accepted, you’ll enjoy benefits like more legroom, gourmet meals, and entertainment.
  • United Airlines provides a Children’s Travel Kit for young travelers, including an activity book, crayons, and a puzzle for them to enjoy on this long-haul flight. Additionally, they pioneered the introduction of a Sensory Calming strip, designed to alleviate anxiety for novice flyers.

The flight was literally cancelled by emirates and you sent me to a scammer website of Underpricer.com for the tickets who still has not provided a refund for one ticket. Kayak has gone seriously downhill. If you are going to redirect people to a site then ensure they are reputable and not untrustworthy scammers. Am never using kayak again after this experience. And update your algorithm or whatever so you don’t send out auto emails checking on flight experience of cancelled flights due a literal WAR!! also I have complained about underpricer and nothing from kayak. So disappointing

Charged for internet that never really worked. The food selection was just ok.

My favorite airline when traveling to the UAE. Great food and great service.

Meals were delicious, however I got hungry between dinner and breakfast.

My last few flights with Emirates have always been delayed at least a half an hour. When my layover is only an hour and a half to two hours, 30 minutes makes a big difference. I’m going to check out other airlines.

The entertainment selections are amazing. But the live TV is sometimes spotty. If you’re going to have it, then have it. If you can’t make it consistent, then, perhaps it’s better not to have it. The crew are always cordial when approached, but they seem to do the minimum and sit around, talking to each other in the back of the plane during the flight. I realize that delays are not always predictable, but I missed my flight in Dubai because we left 90 minutes late from Washington. I will say that Emirates took very good care of me in Dubai. But I would rather not be delayed.

Emirates is usually on time, but not this trip. Also, during the flight the attendants disappear unless called upon. Very strange. I have watched the quality of Emirates service diminish over the last five years.

Everything was perfect except boarding . Have to wait @ gate for 45 minutes after announcing boarding ..

Excellent food and beverage Excellent cabin crew Live tv could be better

Flight from USA to Dubai was comfortable. There is some serious miscommunication between the staff who does checkin and immigration staff in India. Air Suvidha rules are enforced here as a requirement by the Indian government and without it not allowed to board the flight. The Indian authorities don’t even bother to check it. Please update either side of aisle. Vegetarian food from Dubai to Bombay was not that great at all. It was cold and chewy. Dubai being a hub can provide better options. Staff is very good and took good care of passengers. Please appreciate their hard work.

Staff at the airport wasn't helpful or friendly. Probably the worst airport experience I have ever had, going and coming. The staff on the plane was better. Still not super friendly or personable. However, they were not rude like airport staff. They ran out of certain menu items. Maybe could have been prepared better? Overall just ok.

the cabin was kept too hot. couldn't sleep as a result

Crew were unfriendly, touch screen for movies didn't work very well, seats were tight and uncomfortable

Awful seating. Bad food. Staff only have one bottle of water and no cans.

Worse worse worse, i would not recommend this airline to anyone. Istanbul airport maybe State of the Art facility but staff is rude, only works if they get tips, and they push you to give tips even though my family had spent $50 in tips. Airline staff doesn't speak english so you really can't understand them. It was a nightmare travelling with Turkish. Never again.

My flight was canceled 1 minute before boarding. The customer service was owful, no one could tell us what was going happened. I spent 30hrs instead of 15 from Washington DC to Brussels. No apologie or help

Boeing 777 is a bad choice for a such a long flight.

I wouldn't know what the flight was like. AI canceled my flight reservation!! There's no way to speak to an actual human to fix the issue! NEVER AGAIN! ALWAYS BOOK YOUR FLIGHT DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE NEVER GO THROUGH KAYAK OR JUSTFLY.COM!!

I’ve been traveling for 20 years. I tried Turkish airline for the first time horrible horrible service and it would be my last time even if I get offer for a free ticket, I will not accept it. They have races and the worst Flight attendant

It wasn't good. I didn’t understand. They changed 320 dollars for 2 luggage. My ticket was regular and I paid almost 1200.00 dollars. Why they did charge? I want my money back.. thanks Yılmaz polat

Mediocre movies Too cold Didn’t have extra blankets Check in was too long (60-70 min coming 3 hours early) Breakfast was terrible Great WiFi however And smooth ride Dinner was decent

Really good food and service. Qatar Airways is again and again provided an exceptional experience.

Extremely uncomfortable seats with very little cushioning, unable to recline enough to sleep comfortably on this 13 hour overnight flight. My body was in pain by the end.

When we checked in at the Siem Reap Airport in Cambodia, we were only given three boarding passes and told that we would have to check in with American when we arrived in Boston. This was a source of stress for us. After we landed in Boston, we had a long passage from Terminal E to Terminal B (American Airline ticketing counter). Because the electronic ticketing kiosks for check-in would not recognize our Confirmation Code, we had to wait for an hour in a long line where only two AA reps were taking care of Special Services passengers. In many years of both business and recreational travel, I have never had this experience. I would expect more from AA being in partnership with other airlines to do a better job with this.

Food was absolutely pathetic. I wasted so much food which I thought was inedible. I also loathe the inflight entertainment system which has very little content

The flight was good but my neighbor had the vent open full power for the whole flight and because the air was blowing from the side instead of from the top and I got very cold and ended up with a sore throat.

Bag check in at DC was slow. Boarding process was slow more due to customers unfamiliar with how to board properly. Food and service was excellent!

The hindu meal food did not taste good. Also the seats were not comfortable as compare to other airlines

Didn't have internet connection, and the flight was over booked.

The first and longest leg, Washington to Doha, was in a 777 that was very loud. This was an older aircraft. The second leg, Doha to Delhi, was in a much newer aircraft, an A350 and was very substantially quieter. The service was good on both, though as always, the crew leaves you trapped with your meal tray for a really long time. Additionally, the flight crew seemed inordinately afraid of turbulence, keeping the seat belt sign on for long stretches when there was barely noticeable turbulence.

Awful , hidden charges for the luggage was a very awful thing, very much a scam , booking the flight thinking the luggage was included was definitely a scam , then the girl that was taking my luggage Ayrlease the airport was an absolute awful , telling me if I don’t have money to take my luggage with me I can just throw it away , how professional, NEVER AGAIN .

Connection booked by Etihad was delayed and upon arrival to counter they closed it and denied boarding although there was still 15 minutes to go . Manager Karen was very rude and did not want to listen seems there as overbooking and canceling boarding was the only solution..

Doubled charged me for luggage and lost $520, dug much into my travel budget.

On time and no hassle luggage policy (2 checked in and 1 cabin bag)

i have book the flight with baggage. and i have paid $800.00 for the baggage. when i contacted to JUSTFLY Costumer Service they told me that my baggage was included in the booking. then why i have to pay. i am going to file a complain against it. $800.00 is not at all small amount

They lost the baggage and said it was deleted from the system. I had baggage tag so was able to file the complaint but there was no PIR number and update so far

Dear Team, I purchased a full travel package that included 2 checked bags through you and JustFly. However, when I arrived at the airport, my ticket showed 0 checked bags. Since I was traveling internationally to India with 2 bags, It was a $200 per bag at the counter, which was extremely disappointing. For an international trip, why would I ever choose a no‑bag option for only $20–$30 less? This seems like an error in the booking process, and I am requesting clarification and a resolution. I have called JustFly and on phone for 1 hr :53 min and they couldn't help till I show some kind of proof etc which isn't possible but besides that love your service and using it for years !

I had a terrible experience checking in at the airport for my flight. I booked my ticket initially through Kayak while it was promoted as a ticket that offers a carry on and 2 suit cases. (I have a screen shot as a proof of it) I selected it to buy three tickets and paid online. Couple of minutes later airfare assist which is the OTA offering the ticket called me saying My card declined. So I used a different card that went through. I was surprised that they increased the price ticket by a $167. They said the ticket no longer exists and because my card declined I had to buy a new one. So I did. The day my family and I were traveling I could not check in and when I went to the airport I was shocked to be told my ticket had no bags allowed and must pay $200 per bag for three people 6 bags mean I have to pay $1200. I called the travel agency as I feel I was scammed the confirmation didn’t say anything about the bags and they never told me the new ticket doesn’t not include any bag so they changed it after I selected it on your app without informing me. Very sneaky. The travel agency said they will reimburse me only for one bag person. Which means I still paid $600 I still feel very disappointed to pay such an expense. I have always used Kayak to buy my flight tickets and telling everyone how good your rates and app are however after this I feel I was mislead and paid more for something I should not have to. You allowing such an agency on your platform will surely hurt your reputation and level of integrity. I have all the proofs from the screen shot to the confirmation email from them, the or email offering to reimburse o e bag per person and the $1200 bag fees receipts that I paid on the desk. I must be refund the full amount and I look forward to your response.

Ripped off and broken seats in Business class. Seats stink and need to request the staff for additional bedsheets. Crew if very friendly though

Boarding was quick and efficient. Ground staff were pleasant and courteous. Food was tasty, portions were good for me. Food containers kept slipping on the tray. Tray would look better with an anti-skid tray mat. I had the bulkhead seat which was very uncomfortable for couple of reasons. Aircraft is designed with no throughput to move across aisle to aisle. Passengers kept jumping over my legs to get from one side to the other to use the toilet. Secondly I had a mother and 9 month baby next to me. Mom had to hold baby for 12 hours in her lap as he did not fit into the bassinet. Half the baby was on my lap during the flight. Aircraft temperature was very cold - light attendant said it was the central cooling and nothing could be done about it. Movie selection was very poor old and outdated.

Very comfortable flight. I appreciate the announcements were also in English.

Flight was cancelled by air India. There was no explanation provided why the flight was cancelled. Found out that the flight was cancelled because the Iran air space was closed. Meanwhile, all other flights passing through that region were operating without issues. When asked to refund money for the tickets, being told that “ As checked, we wish to share that Flight AI 116 on 15 January 2026 from New York to Mumbai was cancelled due to Iran airspace closure, which were beyond the airline’s control. While such events can disrupt travel plans, we appreciate your understanding and patience. Our team remains committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers and takes all necessary measures to minimize any issues. However, we must inform you that compensation is not applicable under these extraordinary circumstances, in accordance with the relevant regulations.” Completed unacceptable and unprofessional behavior!

Communication was terrible. Flight was delayed for 4-5 hours in DC (on the front end, and also after we boarded, we had to get off - some issue with fueling the old plane correctly). There was little to no information on timing or what was happening. Once we reach Delhi airspace, apparently there was weather that caused us not to land - we were actually near the ground, saw the run way, and lifted back up to the sky after being sooo close. Then we circled for about 30 minutes, and they decided to go to Jaipur to land until the weather cleared and to refuel. Again, once we landed in Jaipur (wrong city), there was little to no information on timing or what was happening. Then we heard that the crew was reaching their 24 hours. We sat on the place, on the tarmac for another 3 HOURS, with no food and not enough water for everyone on the flight. Then, they kicked us off the plane with no plan, in the wrong city. We went thru customs, got our bags (thank goodness), and had to ask a bunch of staff what was happening and what to do. Eventually, their soltuion was to bus people back to Delhi (like 6 hours we were told) but not everyone would fit on the bus, and unknown timing on when it would leave. At this point it was 9PM (we were scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 11AM...). My husband and I decided to risk it and take a cab that we had to pay ourselves (about $200 US dollars) to get to Delhi (about 5 hour drive). We both had terrible trips back to the US as well - almost missed connecting flight, forced to pay for carry-on luggage (a small back pack!) and duty-free goods by the Air India staff last minute. Just terrible experience all around. Never again with AI! The ONLY good thing was the air hostesses were kind and patient - example: they made sure people with food allergies got their correct.

It would have been perfect if there was onboard entertainment.

Food could be better they need a better caterer in DC flight from India always has better food

Flight got delayed by 3 hours but no compensation or anything

Having travelled quite a lot in my life -- Air India flight from Washington to New Delhi on November 19, 2023 - I thought was the worst ever - little did I know at that time that the flight back - from Delhi To Washington on December 6 - would be an actual NIGHTMARE for me and for about a dozen of fellow citizens from the United States who were experiencing it with me! Two of the passengers had kids: a baby and a toddler who was sick at the time, three or more elderly people of about 70 years old or more, I also remember a woman of about thirty years old who looked about 10 years older after the ordeal was closer to the end- on the flight from LONDON !!! (they sent us all to London instead of Washington!!! (The transit flight from Kathmandu - to Delhi - also by Air India- was delayed 3! times from 9,50 p.m. to 11.50 - which lead transit passengers to be late not by their fault but by the same Air India fault!!! - at after midnight at the transit counter at Delhi airport we were told there was no room in a hotel, that all we could do "call the center'' --- managers as well as clerks were at minimum rude and ignorant - finally we had nothing other to do than to leave to London at their suggestion at 7 !!! in the morning (the flight was also late for an hour) to later fly from London to Washington! If only you have the slightest choice NEVER DEAL WITH AIR INDIA even if it is the cheapest route!!!

Amazing crew and their courteous services made this flight very comfortable for me. Food and seats were good too . Only down is - entertainment system was broken and selection was not good at all.

The whole entertainment system and electronic system was broken - for a long 15 hrs flight there was nothing to do or even call attendants. The crew were cold and brushed you off for even a glass of water

Entertainment system was broken, food was horrible, AC system was leaking. Toilets were super dirty, smelly
