"Continual delays adding up to 1:45 minutes. 4 or 5 gate changes. Paid for premium seating and lost that due to plane change to turboprop. I made it home!"
"I paid for first class and they switched planes due to a mechanical error. I have my 80-year-old mother so I wanted to make sure she was at the front of the plane so when they reassigned us they put us at the back of the plane unacceptable so we sat at the back of the plane no Wi-Fi no video no in-flight texting no sodas were available on the flight it was just a poor flight that made me feel like I was back in 1985. Poor substitute of a plane."
"Crew was very friendly and engaging"
Cons: "Don’t stuff passengers in every seat."
Cons: "It was fine"
Cons: "Flight Attendant crew was grouchy and rude to guests. In spite of covid, plane was packed and the four seats across were too tight and comfortable as a 2x4. Should have driven the eight hours instead of flying alaska. They used to be much better than this."
Pros: "Seats comfy, plenty of room as there was an open seat next to us."
Cons: "Nicer, friendlier staff. Alaska airlines staff doesn’t even compare to the nice staff on Delta flights!"
Cons: "In general, all good given issues were all weather related delays."
Pros: "The gate crew made several announcements about face mask requirements."
Cons: "Once boarding began, there was no attention paid to distancing guidelines. I never heard anyone being directly reprimanded or corrected for not wearing a mask or not covering their nose while boarding or walking around the cabin. I was very surprised to find out the flight was 100% full. Every seat was filled. I thought airlines were taking precautions to provide space for passengers by leaving some seats empty. I felt very unsafe flying in a 100% full flight where no control for masks was taking place. This was my first time flying during COVID and I had thought airlines were doing more to instill trust in customers to keep customers flying but I will not be flying again until COVID is over as I did not see precautions keeping customers safe."
Pros: "Great crew and in-flight movies. Really nice airline."
Cons: "No food or alcohol served. Shame on you."
Pros: "The flight was great in every way except passenger adherence to mask wearing."
Cons: "On a short flight, people do not need to be served beverages or snacks that require them to take off their masks."
Cons: "Great flight considering Covid."
Pros: "The male flight attendant was awesome. Didn't catch his name but he was super funny, witty and charming. The female flight attendant was equally wonderful. Just a wonderful crew. A great flight home after a perfect weekend getaway with a good friend who really needed it."
Cons: "Not much, really. There wasn't a sink in the lavatory on that particular aircraft, I guess due to size or some tradeoff consideration. There was antiseptic lotion though. Not a huge deal. I'm always not too crazy about how coach airline seats are designed, so nothing great there either but that's par for the industry so I can't single Alaska out. It was pretty solid all around. I really like Alaska in general. Somehow my seat selection for my initial flight from Portland, OR to Oakland, CA got clobbered and I got reassigned to the last row and couldn't recline my seat back much at all, which was annoying seeing as I purchased me and my buddy's seats way in advance. I put some time and effort selecting two aisle seats next to each other so that we could shoot the breeze on the flight down which didn't get to happen, and his seat selection remainded intact somehow even though I was the one that bought the tickets, but I've already lodged a complaint about that so I shouldn't really go into that here. The flight back from Sacramento was tip top actually, so really no complaints. 9.5 out of 10."
Pros: "Staff was very attentive at checkin and gate. They were ready for me before I was ready for them! Flight crew was also great. Seats comfortable, plenty if legroom in coach."
Cons: "Everything was excellent - but having not flown Alaska, I was expecting something exceptional. Top rated US carrier, and inheritor of the Virgin America legacy, I expected something more. I've flown VA, and it was an exceptional experience."
Pros: "The crew was good, boarding was on the right time. It was a good flight."
Cons: "Only if there was free entertainment and free food."
Pros: "I love being able to text while in the air (really reduces my stress when I travel for business and my family is back home). Crew was nice and boarding was easy."
Cons: "2 biscoff foe a 5 hour flight is a pretty light snack. It would have been nice if there was one more item."
Pros: "When I arrived at check in I did the whole kiosk bit and got my boarding pass. I had a question so I spoke with the nice woman at the counter and she got me a roomier seat ( I’m 6ft all legs). It was actually a mini upgrade that included a free drink and snack. Free of charge. Do things like that even happen anymore? Considering I had just been through a death in my family and was mentally miserable ( she had no idea) she must have picked up on it. BEST FLIGHT IN YEARS. Thank you. Customer svc is everything."
Cons: "Flight from PHL to PORTLAND delayed 3.5 hrs due to weather... ok that’s a safety thing. But then the pilots couldn’t fly us to Portland due to shift restrictions. Told us they had to stop in BOISE for fresh pilots and no one was leaving the plane. Got there and they made everyone get off the plane and take their belongings with them. Meanwhile since we already missed our connecting flight from Portland to Bellingham they rescheduled us from Portland to SEATTLE to Bellingham later that night but while stopped in Boise we managed to get on a flight directly to Seattle and our son picked us up there instead of Bellingham. We were told our checked bags would go to their tagged destination so we drove to Bellingham to collect them. Not so. Luggage is missing."
Cons: "Went to ticket counter at 5:33 and talked with Tyler L, whose boss Jerry had instructed him to not let passengers check in after 5:30. The flight was at 6:10. Tyler smugly smiled while refusing to print a boarding pass, then was unable/uninterested in helping me rebook. I had gone through security and couldn't find boarding pass email. I went through checkin the night before but apparently it didn't finish. Talked with security about getting back to front of the line. I had 30 minutes to walk 600 ft and absolutely could have made that flight. Called 800 number to book a new flight."
Pros: "The crew were great, security at the airport took over an hour to get through so I arrived at the gate 10minsbefire takeoff. The crew were great in getting me on board and checking my luggage was still there t"
Cons: "They pack you in like sardines and we as customers are supposed to like this. The seating sucks, the leg room sucks. My Hawaiian flight was great, great customer service, seating and leg room was great. If I could have and should have flown Hawaiian instead of Alaska. I like Alaska Airlines but truely the plane I was on was old, crowded and hated the flight. Alaska could step up to the plate and provide a better experience. If I gauged my experience on Alaska through today's flight I would never fly them again. Really Alaska I know you can do better."
Cons: "I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."
Pros: "The attendant who helped me was extremely helpful in arranging for me to be on the next flight to Portland, out of San Jose. She called and arranged for a shuttle to pick me up in San Francisco and bring me to San Jose at no cost, and provided me with a flex ticket so that if I missed the next flight I could be on the subsequent one. (I did in fact make it -- just barely -- onto the 11:15 flight out of San Jose, so when all was said and done I landed in Portland about three hours later than originally planned. As it was a very short trip, I'm quite glad that I only lost the time that I did.) Thank you, Diane (Diana?), for all your help."
Cons: "I had originally been scheduled for an 8:45 am flight out of San Francisco. As I was leaving for the airport at 6:30 I received a text saying that my flight had been delayed until 10:08. I ended up arriving at the airport around 9:00 and making it over to the service desk around 9:20, at which point I was told by one of the attendants that the flight had left at 9:18 and I should have been at the airport two hours early. There was no acknowledgment by this particular attendant that I had been given wrong information by the airline that had resulted in my missing the flight."
Pros: "Well, since you're asking, what I truly liked and enjoyed was being able to sleep comfortably undisturbed on this early morning flight from blast off to splash down. Comfy seats, no yakity-yak seat neighbors, no pesky flight attendants waking me to offer coffee, and a tidy restroom when needed. Just a happy flight. There, is that 50 words?"
Cons: "What I don't like is having to tell you what I like and don't like about taking a trip on an airline. Suffice it to say, we made it and that is never a small accomplishment for which I am always genuinely grateful and appreciative to the pilots, the crew, the engineers and builders of these large metal tubes with wings that continually and mostly consistently manage to defy the laws of gravity by propelling groups of human beings across large stretches of land and over water. Why wouldn't I be happy?"
Pros: "Basically on time. I appreciated the Captain's extensive comments before flight about how it would be bumpy starting about mid-way and continuing to Portland."
Cons: "My seat was changed so I changed it to as close to front as possible; they changed it back so I was unable to sit near my 2 colleagues who I was traveling with. Alaska changed our return flight to 2 hours earlier so we missed part of the conference we (3) were attending. I called about this and the rep gave me a song and self congratulatory dance about how they were meeting my needs! We booked the flight a month in advance and they changed it 2 days before. Guess where my seat was on the new flight? Yep, all the way in the back away from my team."
Pros: "Usb port to charge your electronics!"
Pros: "Everything from the booking to the flight was fabulous. I couldn't be more pleased with how smoothly this flight went. I was traveling alone, so I was nervous about that until taking this flight. Every single staff member made sure I was feeling comfortable and very kind. In this same weekend, The plane is very roomy, and I took coach. I am 5 foot 9, so it's hard to find space for my legs. I did not have this problem at all, even with the person in front of me reclining their chair!! They have plugs for your charger for each individual seat, and the overhead lights don't blind you if your passenger buddy is using one and you're not. I love that!!! I will only use Alaska from here on out."
Cons: "There was absolutely nothing wrong with this flight."
Pros: "The flight was on time. It was quite smooth; and I was able to purchase some food."
Pros: "I love the upgrade option to Premium class and the snack box that comes with it is great! Staff was friendly and efficient."
Cons: "Only one thing: when using the kiosk to get my boarding pass and upgrade, it doesn't specifically state to insert and quickly remove my credit card, so I'm waiting waiting waiting and nothing is happening and I start over and still nothing, so I go wait in line at the desk that solves problems only to learn that small detail and then the clerk said he couldn't take care of it for me and sent me back to the kiosk! What a pain! I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. How hard is it to put clear instructions on the screen? please and thank you!"
Pros: "Very nice and cheerful folk. The baggage fee for what I could have carried on was waived. Cabin service was attentive. The flight was on time, and my luggage arrived."
Cons: "The child behind me ... but that is not the fault of Alaskan Air."
Cons: "I showed up to check in 45mins before the flight and they only had 1 kiosk person to service people so by the time I was helped they wouldn't let me check in and told me I missed my flight when I was there with 40 minutes to spare!!! They put me on a flight that sent me to Seattle then to Portland 3 hours behind schedule, but I'm mostly upset because I still got to the Portland gate 20 minutes before the departure time and they refused to find me and 2 other passengers a seat on the flight because they over sold out seats, seats we bought months in advance. So i was there 25 - 20 minutes before departure and people were still running up to make their flight but their seats weren't over sold... I will never be flying with Alaska again. Every other airline lets most passengers check in within 30 minutes bc I've never had this problem before. Horrible service from the Alaska McCaren Las Vegas airport lord of additude for 5am. Maybe they need new updated workers that try to work with you."
Pros: "Found the crew to be friendly and relaxed. The plane was fairly new. Overall, it went fine as long as you understood it was going to be simple offerings."
Cons: "Apparent aggressiveness to get as many carry on bags paid for by the ground staff measuring with a measuring tape all bags. I've never seen anything like it. My bag was fine. Then, when they started to take fees you had to come back and pay. It wasn't done right then. The ground staff was minimally helpful. Flight amenities or not, pay for headset and having more than 2 TV shows and 2 movies cost you an up charge even on an overseas flight. One choice for dinner.- pasta so it was vegetarian. Breakfast was a sad roll, one small piece of cheese and ham, and fruit that was that questionable. Overnight flight, pillow no blanket in Economy. Seats hard and leg room was tight. Their Economy plus and business looked a much better way to go."
Cons: "I wasn't able to fly Alaska Airlines due to storm in Washington DC. My first flight American Airlines from Charlotte to Washington DC was cancelled. The second flight Alaska Airlines from Washington DC to Portland was delayed, but I never flew. I got a direct flight from American Airlines from Charlotte to Portland instead."
Cons: "The flight that I booked is from Omaha to Guangzhou, but you guys gave me the ticket shows that there has one stop by Canada, and I don't have the ETA so that the stuffs wouldn't let me get in the flight and I can't make my trip on time! I don't think that is my bad because as a customer YOU( this APP) should be able to let me know I need to get the ETA to support me stop by Canada before I book the ticket from YOU GUYS, and I don't know that, so that I can't get in the flight which is make me feels really tough! And I know that it is not just happen to me but also it happen to other people, there has some people has the same problem as I do, so I don't think you guys should do that! DO NOT sales us the ticket that can't let us get in the flight! As a public APP. You guys should make the notes when you sale the ticket, say" there has a one stop by Canada, IF U don't have ETA, pls don't book it!" Let the people know so that we won't get any trouble OK?!?!"
Pros: "-The tablet entertainment option was great since there was no inseat entertainment. The cost of of the tablet was cheap and allowed you access to everything, which is different from other airline a-la-carte purchasing of different entertainment. -Crew was great, food/beverage service was also great."
Cons: "-At HNL there was poor signage to get from the rental car return to the airline. Once we got into the terminal it really wasn't clear if we should go left or right, We wound up asking an American employee where Alaska was. -After the checked bag agriculture inspection it was not clear that you go to the kiosks there right after the inspection. I think it partially wasn't clear because there were multiple large groups traveling with tons of luggage and you go straight to the kiosks and then back track to hand over your checked bag. The line for checking the bag vs needing help wasn't clear either. Luckily there were Alaska employee's there helping at the kiosks and with the bag checking so it did go smooth but could definitely be better."
Pros: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."
Pros: "The prices were decent and the personnel at the airport check in counter were friendly and helpful. The flight was short but it was nice to have the seat-back chargers to recharge my phone."
Cons: "The onboard crew seed a little stiff. They were very selective - the two flight attendants in first class & coach - with whom they greeted good morning / hello. I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air."
Pros: "The customer service got us on the next available flight. Didn't charge us for our baggage (which they could have). Staff were helpful and realized that we were bone tired (after being awake for over 30 hours). Flight was easy. Crew was nice. Easy access to baggage when we got to PDX. I love Alaska Airlines!"
Cons: "Nothing. They got it all right."
Pros: "My flight took off and landed at the correct airports."
Cons: "Flew from Seattle to Reno. Originally booked on a flight from Seattle to Portland and Portland to Reno. After I checked in, I saw a direct flight to Reno, and Alaska was able to switch my flight for only $25, but failed to get my luggage on the correct flight (with over an hour before my flight left), so I still ended up waiting at the Reno airport for two hours until my originally ticketed flight came in with my bags. What would have been an awesome experience became a miserable one, with the bonus that I paid extra for the treatment."
Pros: "Ground and in flight crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Flight was 4 hours late because of a suddent issue with the designated pilot's health but then they also gave me a good discount coupon."
Cons: "Beverage pacing was odd -- 2 beverage services in quick succession and then not much for a while. I still can't get the entertainment app to work, which means I'm on my own for entertainment."
Cons: "This flight ended up being delayed because of an overhead bin door that wouldn't latch. I understand the rules, but it took 1.5 hours for the mechanic to arrive and assess the situation. Consequently, I missed my flight to Reno from Portland. The airline paid for my hotel (thanks!) and I arrive home with my luggage the next day. Mostly this was an inconvenience, and all turned out well. Just annoying when the problem seemed so minor. The time frame was too long for most passengers to make connections."
Pros: "Bathroom not working, but don't use the front toilet was the announcement."
Pros: "The check-in staff at DCA were fantastic."
Cons: "No free entertainment."
Pros: "On time, nice staff"
Pros: "We arrived early!"
Cons: "TV screen didn't work at all."
Pros: "Comfortable seats, even on a full flight. Great food for a great price, very sweet crew members and no fuss boarding or leaving the aircraft."
Pros: "This was a great flight, though perhaps that was more about the circumstances. A view of lightning strikes in the distance after takeoff followed by a flight into the sunset landing shortly after the sun disappeared over the horizon, all aboard Alaska's specially-decorated Spirit of Disneyland II. It was a smooth flight with friendly employees at the gate and onboard. Window seat in coach was comfortable enough. I didn't buy any food onboard, choosing to stick with the traditional complementary pretzels and a glass of water, which I got refilled once. There was no entertainment provided, but the flight wasn't long enough to need it."
Cons: "I don't really have any complaints about the flight itself."
Pros: "The crew was amazing."
Cons: "Snacks need some variety"
Pros: "Quick and painless, and so appreciate Delta’s respect for social distancing while other flagship carriers have returned to booking full flights"
Cons: "Great flight all around."
Pros: "Crew was exceptionally nice. Live DISH TV unexpected and appreciated."
Cons: "Flight was freezing. Crew was overly concerned about my tree nut allergy. Been flying for 40+ years and this was the first time any one has asked...appreciate it but they went overboard"
Pros: "Good on time flight"
Cons: "My suitcase was broke at some point and also items in my suitcase."
Pros: "The crew was amazing and polite."
Cons: "Nothing needed to be done"
Cons: "Not having a delayed flight."
Pros: "The views on this flight are good. The crew was just ok and they should explain where the restroom is."
Cons: "The flight is relatively short so they do not offer a beverage service. However if I fly the same route on Alaska they do."
Pros: "The crew rocked!!!! Professional and fun. We enjoyed the music."
Cons: "WiFi didn’t work well. Still great flight."
Pros: "extra legroom of comfort plus zone"
Cons: "Bordung process runs smoother now that the order is made clear ahead of time. In jfk they did not have the columns marked “comfort” “priority? “Main 3”, etc, like they had at Reagan arpoirt in DC"
Pros: "I like being able to charge my devices"
Cons: "Better movies"
Cons: "Stop being LATE!!!!"
Pros: "Crew was very kind and entertainment was good when available"
Cons: "WiFi in all flights"
Cons: "The ticketing counter gave very bad guidance for when I arrived, thus refusing to allow me to check my bag. And insisting that I had to cancel my skymiles ticket and purchasing a new ticket. Show up at least 2 hours before at DCA for intl flights, employee incompetence could cost you $$$$"
Pros: "jFk To DCA crew is fine and helpful."
Cons: "Crew and flight from DCA to JFK was terrible. We left over 30 minutes later with no explanation as to what was taking so long. There was no info given to passengers in regards to what gate or terminal you’re landing and in- was only given 20min to get to gate c Terminal 2 from gate b terminal 4.0"
Pros: "It was quick"
Cons: "Horribly shaky. Thought I was going to throw up. The male flight attendant came off as rude. Just happy I got off the plane alive because it was rough"
Cons: "Better ? Impossible!"
Pros: "Arrive early. On time departure."
Cons: "My row 34 D did not have entertainment - had to move to another seat and row."
Pros: "The flight"
Cons: "The flight"
Pros: "Baggage came quickly. Flight was on time."
Pros: "Boardin process was Ok"
Cons: "Due to several issues we were delayed in 3,5 hours"
Pros: "Everything on time, friendly and helpful attendants"
Cons: "Why does boarding have to happen with several other flights, gets confusing. Have other flights board at a different time or from another gate far away so customers don't get confused"
Pros: "Meal was provided at no additional charge. Pilots were informative on weather conditions. Good crew service."
Pros: "The service was excellent from boarding to inflight operations everyone seemed happy and made a honest attempt to be helpful and create an enjoyable experience for me and my Travel Partner."
Cons: "Plane was late coming in and my departure time was 30 minutes off schedule."
Pros: "Staff was friendly."
Cons: "During boarding, the sign wasn’t updated after Zone 1. I was watching the board from a distance while on the phone, waiting for Zone 4 to come up. Fortunately, I heard them say “final boarding” over the intercom; otherwise I could have missed my flight."
Pros: "very friendly crew"
Cons: "Delayed flight"
Pros: "The in-flight movie was very much appreciated."
Cons: "No wifi, no leg room"
Pros: "everything is fine except th nickel and dime."
Cons: "Why do airlines charge you an arm and a leg to fly then force to 1. Check a bag, or 2. Get a drink, or 3. Get a seat in an exit row or worst of all now 4. WIFI IS NOW A STANDARD ON PLANES BUT PASSENGERS MUST PAY?!?!"
Pros: "Very grateful they moved me to an earlier flight when mine was delayed due to weather. Impressed with entertainment options."
Pros: "Movie selection and cable channels"
Cons: "My connection was abruptly changed, it took a long time to straighten out, but they eventually did."
Cons: "The male flight attendant my section was very unpleasant to the elderly passengers in my area and just left me very uneasy about the flight"
Pros: "Happily, the flight was completely non-eventful."
Cons: "The food and snack choices are quite limited."
Pros: "Loved the Clear/Skymiles fingerprint boarding! Great line markers at DCA as well. Would love to see those in other cities."
Pros: "Excellent service, God flight"
Pros: "Nice plane, smooth flight, flight was on time in spite of the disaster in Houston."
Cons: "Well, even United brings a tray of waters on the short flight from Portland to Redmond. Hard to believe it was impossible to serve some drinks on this 1 hour fairly empty flight from Seattle. Also, when taking off the plane surged and slowed several times. I had to wonder if the pilot was in training?"
Pros: "Customer services"
Cons: "The service was terrible. Also a ripped off base on I was expecting to be treated as if I was on Virgin nothing compares to it . Delta plane making a loud noise we can even heard anything when pilot does announcement. I want my money back or I should be reinbuise some how."
Pros: "Short flight with great views"
Cons: "I was not asked to check my bag, but there was no space for it so I had to take it back off after everyone boarded. No drink or food. Ground crew forgot to get bags at end of fliggt for those of us who checked at the gate. Had to wait quite a while."
Pros: "Great service very courteous crew. Smooth takeoff and landing."
Cons: "Never announced we were over 10Kfeet and could turn on electronic equipment, attendant seemed cross when her question "pretzels or coockie?" was answered "yes.""
Pros: "Comfortable flight, plenty of leg room and I live the individual chargers at each chair."
Cons: "When I pay more for a direct flight, I expect my flight to be non stop. Delta changed my flight and added a layover but I didn't receive any recompense from the airline. Seems very odd."
Pros: "Good experience overall. Pleasant staff. Movie features were wonderful and helped pass the time."
Pros: "The service. The plane (seemed like an international plane). Food options. The service and the service. There was a problem getting on, they allowed premium members to board but when I got to the plane, I was scolded by the cleaning crew lady (maybe the Mgr) that they were not ready and that she had informed 'them' of that and that no one is allowed to board while they are cleaning."
Pros: "Free food for all on this flight! Turkey sandwich was actually quite good! Great legroom, flight attendants, and pilot. Free great movie for all."
"American Airlines customer service was extremely poor. They canceled our flights multiple times. Then put us on standby trying to get on flights instead of booking us on a confirmed flight to get us home. So flight after flight we kept our hopes up just to be disappointed and stuck from a connecting flight. We had never been to Dallas so we were sleeping on the floor at the airport waiting to get home."
Cons: "Book seats together for parties traveling together."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and nice"
Cons: "Absolutely no covid regulations in place, completely packed flight, boarding was horrendous everyone going in at once"
Pros: "Crew was good"
Cons: "Seating sucked, did I say sucked. Greed never give the customers that pay your bills better comfort and leg room. Greed greed greed. Scumbags"
Pros: "The crew was super nice, they offer me to change my seat to fly with my sister."
Cons: "The pilot"
Pros: "waited for us. We were late from Yuma"
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "No real headrests on the seats. Not very comfortable."
Cons: "The head phone jacks were loose so watching a movie was extremely difficult. The aisle is so small you can’t even walk down it without bumping people who are seated. It seemed like none of the crew wanted to be there."
Cons: "The flight attendants were friendly, watched a movie, thanks for the ear buds to listen to the movie. There was a lot of turbulence but I feel our pilot managed it very well bringing us in safely and smoothly as possible. I can't think of anything that could have been improved on."
Cons: "The seats are extremely restrictive and in a aisle seat I had the gentleman sitting next to me with thighs touching and attendants brushing by me as I squished to left to avoid contact with him. Entertainment screen between center seat and window seat so I just didn't even try to look at it and mostly just leaned forward to have a little space. Also another inch or 2 was taken by person in front of me putting their seat back. With such restrictive space why is this even possible??? Flying has become ridiculous and I try not to as much as I can."
Pros: "Nice stewards"
Cons: "Gate agents crabbie"
Cons: "Inflight Wifi was spotty"
Cons: "We landed early but the plane was late 50 minutes into gate. Plane went pst our gate twice, just driving around the terminal."
Cons: "Speaker volume was too high."
Cons: "Cabin temperature"
Cons: "Need to have handheld device to watch entertainment. Terribly uncomfortable. Delay getting out of Dallas."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Tiny seats, no snack or napkin with the drink. Noise in back."
Cons: "I had very bad emotions sickness from London to Dallas TX. After I got on the plane I asked one crew member if I have any chance to switch the seat to sit by the bathroom because I am very sick, but seems no one cares. They said there is nothing they can do and tell me to get back to my seat. The whole fight I was sick. It was a horrible no crews member were asked me how I felt. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever."
Pros: "Crew was nice and professional."
Cons: "Freezing, one hour wait on the tarmac before takeoff meant one hour delayed arrival. No TVs in seats, no meals on six hour flight."
Cons: "Had terrible seats with no reclines and near the bathroom. They charge extra for better seats, they should offer something in return for below average seats."
Pros: "The pilot was very apologetic about being delayed but we were able to catch the flight because it was delayed for about more than 2 hours."
Cons: "It was cold in the beginning of the flight. We were delayed at the first flight and when we got to the gate there were no one available at the gate to check us in. We had to go to customer service to get on board."
Pros: "The flight crew was very friendly"
Cons: "I wish the flight was longer. :)"
Cons: "The flight was delayed an hour (which wound up being a 3.5 hour delay in total, with all the continual delays that pursued afterwards(, which would have made us miss our connecting flight back to our home destination. We switched flights in order to make it home at a decent hour and not spend our entire day and night in an airport. We arrived home and they did not transfer two of our three checked bags to our flight, thus making it highly inconvenient upon our arrival home with no luggage."
Cons: "The male flight attendant was incredibly rude, kept hitting my arms with his body with zero apologies. No manners when taking food and drink orders. Did not seem like he liked his job and in a customer service atmosphere this was extremely disappointing."
Cons: "Poor seating and lost my bag."
Pros: "Everything, crew, plane was clean, service was better than the previous international flight. Nont"
Pros: "I liked the way the Pilot (Captain) addressed the passengers before and after the flight."
Cons: "The wait at the customer service counter in the terminal at LAX."
Pros: "All went well"
Pros: "I like how quick and efficient the boarding and check in process was."
Cons: "I just wish that if I paid a little more for seats I should get more comfortable and roomier seats is all. Don’t make the seats sit so upright."
Pros: "Nothing. Had a family emergency"
Cons: "I had a family emergency and had to buy a ticket to Pittsburgh to get home instead of going to Portland."
Cons: "American completely missed the mark. AA did not successfully change our reservation when the initial leg of our trip was delayed by an hour due to a fuel issue, which caused us to miss your connection in Chicago. Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays."
Cons: "Seat in front of me was broken in the reclined position so I had no leg room."
Cons: "The flight was delayed little by little up to two hours then finally we board the plane, everyone is seated and then they cancel the flight."
Pros: "Efficient boarding. Decent communication during delay of previous flight (delay of 4+ hours), friendly and helpful crew on the delayed flight."
Cons: "Dirty plane. I had to clean my own seat with a wet wipe and some paper towels. Previous AA flight delayed by 4+ hours causing a missed connection."
Pros: "The seat pockets were decent, though I like when the magazines have their own designated slot behind the tray in addition to a pocket. Also good there were power outlets. I liked that they didn't skip row numbers, including 13. So if you're in row 22, for example, you know that's literally how many rows back you are."
Cons: "It took 25 minutes from when plane landed until it reached the gate. There was also apparently an issue with the auxiliary power -- the lights went out in back half of plane when we arrived at gate. I prefer having a screen behind each seat, rather than those attached to ceiling on this flight, so that the entertainment can be customized."
Pros: "Flight attendants were polite and friendly during beverage and snack service Seats were clean and recently reupholstered"
Cons: "Two people got removed from the flight for seemingly no particular reason prior to departure, and looked quite unhappy although there were no strong words. Very small seat pitch Long delays for maintenance and runway Annoying ads for AA credit card over the intercom prior to landing No USB ports"
Pros: "Comfortable first class seats for a regional airline, although no food or entertainment. Flight attendants were great, very friendly and they checked up on us often. On time departure and early arrival. American Airlines has always been great for me. Will be back"
Cons: "No food in first class, but it was only a 2 hr flight on a regional"
Pros: "Boarding was very quick, they called the groups quickly with no lag time in between."
Cons: "I think this was the most cramped airplane I have been on. It was so uncomfortable and I would think that they would take this into consideration since it was a red eye flight."
Pros: "Boarding process and flight crew were just fine - nothing excellent, just average. The plane was an older model, nothing special. We arrived 10 minutes early but then had to wait 20 minutes for a gate."
Cons: "They had no alcohol and no entertainment on a Transcontinental flight from IAD to LAX. Also once we landed we had to wait 20 for a gate assignment."
Pros: "The trip was on time and with no issues flying. I really enjoyed the ability to watch a movie...this was AWESOME!"
Cons: "Wow, the seating was VERY tight and I was happy for the TV screen in front of me to keep me busy. All the inflight interruptions on the movie I was watching."
Pros: "All connections-smooth"
Cons: "There is no legroom in coach. I am six foot seven and my knees cram against the seat in front of me to the point my legs go numb."
Pros: "Flight got to gate 15 earlier than scheduled."
Cons: "But took one hour to get gate checked bag, which was mixed in with checked bags at bagged claim."
Pros: "Amazingly, the flight wasn't full and the stewardess let my wife, 2 month old son and me have the last row."
Cons: "Entertainment on AA is sub-par"
Pros: "Boarding the plane from the back first saved longer queues. Unfortunately people cheat and the boarding officers don't send them back to the right queue. Toilets were clean. Staff excellent. I was glad all my flights were stuffed to the gunnels. Presumably that is best for the environment rather than lots of planes with fewer passengers in each."
Cons: "Passport control with new computer ID checks was fast. Baggage was slow coming. I booked through Netflights and they didn't book me a good seat. If I could have changed it myself they should have told me. On the way to Tampa on 3rd March I couldn't check in within 24 hours and had to wait half an hour while they changed our plane. BA used to do short science programmes which I loved. Shame these have finished."
Pros: "Wrong airline, sent me to wrong gate, almost missed the flight. If I wasn't lucky enough to need a wheelchair, I would probably still be in Phx! Not happy at all, to say the least. I had to grease the palms of about 7 different wheelchair pushers. A bad day all around."
Pros: "Friendly, helpful flight attendants. Flight left and arrived on time, despite being completely full (asking for volunteers to bump). Offered to gate-check our carry-on bags for free to alleviate crowding of overhead bins was fine for us since we already had checked baggage."
Cons: "If you don't pay for the premium seats, the legroom is pretty tight. I'm only 5'8" and I felt it -- if you're 6'+ you better pay for it. This aircraft had screens, but not individual ones so you're stuck watching whatever sitcom replay they pick, although there is a moderate selection of other music. I've been on a newer aircraft with the in-seat power and interactive screens so I know how good it can be, so this was a little disappointing."
Pros: "On schedule and met all my expectations."
Cons: "No complaints."
Cons: "No complaints."
"The flight actually was fine. Just a lot of delays."
"United makes Spirit look great"
"Seating less than desirable, multiple seats on the plane open w no option to change"
"Weather :0( 2-hour delay on the tarmac"
"Flight updates was outstanding"
Pros: "The atention"
Cons: "The 5 hour flight was extremely full. No chance of social distancing. Did not feel safe for my family."
Pros: "La atención súper mal La azafata con una mala actitud cuando me hacia una pregunta Retraso de más de una hora en la salida del vuelo"
Cons: "Necesitan una mejor capacitación en la atención al cliente las azafatas"
Pros: "The airline tried to keep us as comfortable as possible in the airport. The crew was fantastic."
Cons: "Since we were in DC, I don't know why it took four hours to bring in another plane, since we were so close to major cities."
Cons: "We did not have dinner as we tried to get some sleep on this 6.5 hour overnight flight to London. The 767 was in a 2-3-2 configuration for economy plus and general economy. Thankfully they kept the temps cool to the point where we used our coats as additional blankets. I appreciated that the FA’s did not wake us for dinner and they closed my window shade at some point. They were 100% polite and helpful. That said, with the new Polaris Business Sears, UAL has eliminated the restrooms between Business and Economy. So it is a very long walk to the restrooms from Econ Plus and it appears that there are only 4 restrooms for about 120 passengers. Absurd. My family made do because we used the restrooms in the middle of the night when most people were sleeping but this would have been a nightmare after breakfast or with a small child. It appears that UAL has gone for profit over customer satisfaction."
Cons: "Very small cramped aircraft"
Cons: "Food could of had a better selection but wasn’t the worst I’ve had"
Pros: "The controlled and orderly way when boarding."
Cons: "The staff from the desk was unfriendly. On boarding no one showed you where your seat is located. The food was dreadful. The same aweful pasta meal on the outbound journey was served again. During the flight I was feeling very unwell I asked the flight attendant our axeick bag which she brought, but I was told to go to the toilet. She did not return to enquire after my well being. I was in the toilet for 5 minutes. Very uncaring. The tea was cold when served"
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Cons: "The tray cannot be pullled closer for eating. The seat sitting up is very uncomfortable for reading. I would have liked a pillow. Th poor man in front of me asked for a coke after the meal service was done, and the flight attendant said she had to reserve it for the next flight?! The male announcer flight attendant was very hard to understand, some of his words were slurred and garbled. And the volume was always too loud for both the male and female announcers. There was no entertainment unless you downloaded the app."
Pros: "Good plane good entertainment"
Cons: "Chaotic boarding. Attendants could not put could together. I bought business ckass tickets to my daughter and her husbandfie their honeymoon. They could not use the business lounge: when they arrived they were told that they needed to wait in front of the boarding gate. They waited two hours asking many times why they could not get their seats. They were ordered to stand by and wait to be called. Finally they insisted and they got two sits but not side by side. It was too late to use the business class lounge. What a shame. Food was so basic. Noodles overcooked with few veggies that all. Cabin attendants we're stressed and rude"
Pros: "Quick direct service with no connections."
Cons: "Seated in 8C on 737-900. Could not strrtch legs as blocked door to toilet in front of my seat. Had one passenger exit the toilet and fall in my lap."
Cons: "It appears united is unable to fly their planes on times, in particular on the East Coast. We were delayed by 90min on each legs"
Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "Everything but the easy boarding. Horrible comfort level to the point of wishing I could have hurled myself out of the plane."
Cons: "Our flight to Munich arrived late. And our connecting flight to Milan was originally scheduled to leave just 50 minutes after our arrival in Munich. We did not make our flight to Milan and have lost a half day of time at our destination, as well as more than $100 in non-refundable Italian train tickets. Even if our plane had arrived to Munich on time it would have been nearly impossible to make our connecting website. Flight pairings with this short of a layover should not be suggested at this airport when travelers are required to go through passport control."
Cons: "Lufthansa as an agent is a mistake! I had to deal with them prior to flying to the US. I have never ever had to deal with such bad service in my entire life. United was great though and I highly recommend them."
Pros: "The pilots were informative with their announcements and we were informed of turbulence before it started. We also got in ahead of schedule. I also appreciated being able to ask for a glass of water between services as I had fallen asleep."
Cons: "The negative experiences started before we got on the plane. Boarding began slightly behind schedule and was very disorganized. People were all standing in the boarding area and out into the walkway for the concourse. I feel it would be better to have boarding groups come up individually or two at a time. (While group one boards, group two convenes. Once group one has boarded, invite group three to take their place.) Once group three had boarded, an announcement was made that there was no overhead bin space availble for the entirety of group 4. It seems a bit ridiculous that nearly half the plane wouldn’t have overhead space. It took awhile to board group 4 as everyone had luggage to check and once we finally got down the jetway, we had to wait another few minutes before being able to get to our seats as the flight attendant for first class insisted on taking drink orders while she stood in the aisle. I understand this is a perk of first class but I feel it could be better executed. These seats are boarded in group one so to have drink orders incomplete by the time group four is trying to board is irritating at best and incompetent at worst. Once finally at our seats, it became apparent that the announcement about lack of overhead bin space had been made a bit early. The bins were on the full side but they definitely had space available. Also, much of the space had been taken up by jackets and bags that would have fit under the seats; which I felt could have prevented nearly all of the checked bags. The flight was uneventful with minor annoyances like having to pay for entertainment and any sort of food. Even southwest provides entertainment free of charge and I consider them to be more of a budget airline. If I fly Lufthansa again, I will not take a domestic flight through United and will instead book via southwest to and from the international airport Lufthansa flies out of."
Pros: "Despite sitting in the middle seat and being well over 6 feet, there was room."
Pros: "The price, the mango sorbet, short flight into Belgium, the coffee, the water being offered often"
Cons: "The tray was very dirty and obviously had not been disinfected from the previous flight. So I brought it to the attention of one of the crew members, and I felt like she made fun of me in front of other passengers for not liking my tray dirty; and she got a little paper towel for serving, wet it with a bottled water, and wiped my tray quickly. Not hygienic at all and not a word of apology. AIR FRANCE is so much better when it comes to customer service! Also I did not like the constant interruption on the speakers, very loud in my headsets and difficult to watch a movie on tiny screens. The crew members seemed very bossy and uncaring, if not actually rude."
Pros: "Nothing really everyhing was mediocre."
Cons: "Delayed baggage, smelly flight, food"
Pros: "Attentive Crew. Departed on time. Arrived 20min early."
Cons: "No power outlets. No USB outlets. Extremely poor Wi-Fi connectivity. Extremely poor Wi-Fi streaming."
Pros: "Clean aircraft good entertainment, cockpit crew polite"
Cons: "The check in staff were unbelievably rude nearly looked and were abrupt and dismissive to a simple question. The cabin crew looked scruffy, and clearly had a lack of pride in their job and presentation. This is the first time I have ever flown United and I must say I would avoid flying with them again if possible, which is a shame and the aircraft and the entertainment on board were good"
Pros: "The check in was good. The craft was clean."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth enough"
Cons: "I'm a disabled person, I need an aisle seat for my long legs and busted knees, but the aisle seats had about 1/3 the space for feet as the other seats. My knees were pushing into the seat in front of me. Drinks went around once about 1 hour in to the 5 hour flight, but not again after that, though they came by to collect trash 5 times. Flight crew were polite, but some clearly didn't want to be there. This is the first flight I've ever been on where I was in tears from pain, and i felt like i couldnt ask for water or even the wheelchair I needed after the flight."
Pros: "The short lines for boarding, but then again these were small flights. The flights taking off early when all passengers were boarded. The flights arriving much earlier than scheduled."
Cons: "The basic economy flight is bullshit. We both know that it's better to just buy an economic flight. So why even pretend and lie to customers to precast the basic economy flight knowing full well that's just going to force them to have to check in their bags which end up costing more than an economic flight? Why not just offer the regular economy flight price and leave it at that. If the overhead bins are full, offer the passengers a chance to check in their bags for free. What you're doing is preying on the poor who already do not have much which is why they choose the basic economy flight without realizing the full extent of the set up."
Pros: "Decent leg room. Wonderful to do the flight non-stop from NYC to Delhi."
Cons: "United. September 14 Newark to Delhi Premium Economy Entertainment screen didn't work for 1st hour of the flight. the movie list was mediocre at best. The screen was smeared with some substance. The list of movies on the United entertainment app is great (via internet) but connectivity on this type of flight is spotty so the traveler is forced back to the antique screen plane system. Dinner. Butter chicken or vegetable options. Food was bland and very small portions for the length of flight. The snack was delivered immediately after dinner was picked up. I did not open it. Looked like a hard roll with something on it. Style of service is abrupt, bordering on rude. Uses terminology that non-US travelers from different cultures would not understand, for instance do you want "white" coffee. Asked me if I had someone at home to pick up after me as she felt she was cleaning too much off the floor. Her comments appeared to be directed at me but it was not my trash (and even if it was, a better approach would be recommended). The flight attendant realized she had gone too far and apologized. Then complained about this "route" being difficult, with no one listening. She concluded by wishing me a good flight and saying that she hoped that she had not offended me. I assured her that she had. Breakfast was mediocre. Egg with soggy potatoes and an inedible sausage. Did not see what they were offering in the veggie dish. Staff seems tired and not culturally sensitive. There needs to be some retraining and consideration given to long haul menus and entertainment. I take this flight at least once a year. It continues to deteriorate."
Pros: "Crew were amazing, so friendly and helpful Entertainment system was so so good Landed early"
Cons: "Overnight wasn't the easiest flight in the seats Serving people coffee when others are probably trying to sleep probably wasn't the wisest idea either Pre flight queue system is just baffling"
Cons: "1. The flights within the US and Canada was delayed. 2. The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."
Pros: "Comfortable seats"
Cons: "Boarding took a long time in the plane. There was confusion as they had passengers going both ways in the aisle .. this forced several ppl to stand in the aisle a long time. One of the air hostess had a major attitude. For example one passenger who was stuck in the middle of other passengers asked her politely if she could help him put the carry on in an overhead bin near her .. and she responded "I cant help you, you need to put it up yourself sir". Not something one expects. She was also terse with passengers, ordering them in an annoyed tone."
Pros: "We arrived safely, the captain was lighthearted."
Cons: "DRUNK seatmate, who yelled profanity and also that he was drunk several times. Not only did the crew do nothing about it, they served him 2 more drinks! Since there were no air sick bags, I took my food out of my zip lock to have something to offer him when he made retching noises (though he didn't throw up). Isn't the flight crew supposed to prevent visibly drunk people from flying?"
Cons: "I had a man sit next to me who was in the wrong seat but didn't move. He told the girl to keep his seat and he would stay next to me. He was so big he was in my space and had didn't make any effort to try not to spill over in my area. I had to put a magazine next to my thigh because his body was so hot it was damp! I hated the entire trip. I was cramped up and extremely uncomfortable. This is simply unacceptable to have this happen because huge people can't fit in one seat. I want these obese people to be required to purchase 2 seats because they take mine."
Pros: "Great stuff, very friendly and attentive."
Cons: "When asked to be seated next to each other, my husband and myself, we weren't not helped at all."
Pros: "Plane left on time"
Cons: "I know Hawaii is a domestic flight but offering a cookie and a bag of pretzels on an 11 hour flight is ridiculous. There was something wrong with screen at my seat. They tried fixing it but no luck. It was very frustrating. The second leg of my journey was from D.C. To Newark. A "puddle jumper "that you disembark from onto the tarmac, get to wait in the rain while they unload you "carry on" luggage from the back of the plane. Herd you onto a bus yelling at you" if your going to gate C this bus going to gate A that bus".No one to ask "how do I know what gate I am supposed to go to?". They definitely treated"commuter "passengers like sheep. "Thank You For Flying With United "blah blah blah"
Cons: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."
Pros: "The stewards were nice and they were prompt. The plane seemed to be well cleaned inside and they were quick to get everyone boarded and bags stowed underneath. The pilot knew what he was doing and I had no worries there. Everyone was doing their jobs as well as they could be done."
Cons: "The air nozzle above my seat was broken and would not turn off so I freezing the entire flight, as well as the tray table seeming like it was meant for the lap of an infant versus myself and I can't imagine how someone with longer legs than myself dealt with the way it folded down. The take off was rough either seemingly due to tires or perhaps a rough runway. The wifi on the plane would not work. It worked ok my first flight but not on the second. I don't know why and no one knew why either, had the latest app and it was updated to the current version."
Cons: "Upon approach we were suddenly deverted to Seattle. I had a few issues. Number one you could not hear the pilot so that made it worse. The lack of communication was horrible. I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful."
Pros: "This was the first flight in approximately 10 years where everything worked as it was supposed to. The flight was on time. Our crew were pleasant, friendly, and warm - this has been the missing element for a long time. The new plane was comfortable."
Cons: "I still could not get my PC to work with in-flight entertainment."
Pros: "I asked if I could buy headphones on the plane and they gave me a pair for free! I had the Tapas snack box and it was tasty and I was full afterwards."
Cons: "Only 1 of my 2 large plane flights had a personal TV. I also didn't know I had to download the App to watch free entertainment in light on my personal device so it prompted me to purchase Internet so that I could download the app"
Cons: "The terminal number on my ticket was wrong and when me and some other customers asked the flight lady what was going on she was of very little help. Not only that but she was making a personal phone call. So I had to rush to the other end and then just to find out that they didn't have enough room to put my carry on so I had to place it enbetween my legs which made for an even more uncomfortable flight. Also one of the flight attendant was particularly rude and kept saying she had to do her job in a very rude tone to the point were an older retired man told her he's worked too hard in his life time to be talked to like that. Overall the poorest plane experience I've ever had and I fly quite a bit."
Pros: "Some things about the flight were normal."
Cons: "Our incoming flight was late arriving at Dulles. We bolted from that flight to the gate for our connecting flight to GSP. Two of our party of six made it and got onboard telling staff we were coming. We arrived moments later - moments later! - but were denied access because they said we were a minute late. Our small plane was just outside the door with access door still open and staff going in and out. Next flight was 5 hours later. We asked to speak to a supervisor and that was ignored until we demanded attention. The supervisor came 1.5 hours after we were denied plane access. Customer concern was nonexistant on this day."
Pros: "i liked that the flight was smooth and departed/arrived on time and the crew was fairly friendly."
Cons: "i didn't like that i paid for an upgrade to first class and received mediocre service (they ran out of dinner choices by the second row, not very attentive to drink/water refills); also, despite the priority tag on my bag, it was the very last one unloaded off of the plane. the entertainment wasn't working properly and wi-fi is not included in first class services."
Pros: "Boarding was fast and easy. Crew was kind to allow me to use an empty seat in the middle row and get more space. Managed to connect to onboard entertainment with a tablet and avoided to use the tiny screen that still exists on United's 767s."
Cons: "Food was a bit tasteless."
Pros: "Aircraft remained grounded for 1h due to a door switch with malfunction."
Pros: "Very smooth and comfortable flight."
Cons: "So we arrived at the desk after a 7hr international flight ready for the final 1hr leg - only to be confronted with "flight overbooked" looking for 9 volunteers - how can you over book a 40 seat flight by 9 ???? So we had an anxious wait wondering if we'd be dumped from the flight - we weren't but it wasn't enjoyable waiting for the flight and our meeting with our grand kids."
Pros: "The young lady who was the flight attendant was very nice and tried to make a very bad situation somewhat bearable. There were a number of children on the flight that she was very attentive to. I hope united treats their employees better than they treat their passengers."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours. We were told to proceed to the United terminal in spite of the delay. There seemed to be no effort to inform or assist us. There was very little to do in this terminal but wait to see if our flight would eventually come. There were other United passengers in the terminal who were also waiting for overly delayed flights. eventually, we had a plane that was extremely small, cramped and uncomfortable. United seems to consistently oversell its seats and then tried to get people to give up their seats. Very poorly managed airline with bad customer service. Sadly, I have to say that I have never had an acceptable experience on a united flight. Will NOT take another United flight."
"No entertainment whatsoever, food only to pirchase."
Pros: "The fact that the flight left on time, boarding was organized and we got to our destination before the estimated time."
Cons: "The friendliness of the service from both the people from the ticketing counter and at the gate counter."
Cons: "Show all the upcharges in checkout, like paying for even a purse"
Cons: "Sadly, it's just Frontier. You see, they are just the worst airline these days. It's not that the service was bad, but everything about it is uncomfortable and smoothed. Staff are pleasant enough but it's super cheap and you get nickel and dime to death. You have to pay $3 for a water bottle. Airplane engine is always loud the seats are super uncomfortable and you may as well be sitting on a five gallon bucket. I gave them so so rating and I feel like it's the highest rating they could ever get. Definitely not the staff's fault."
Cons: "Don’t block the bathroom for >1 hr during the flight because one flight attendant is hanging out with the pilot."
Cons: "An isle or window seat"
Cons: "Stewardess who had to repeatedly ask a customer to put their mask on said “I hope you get it”. Referring, of course, to COVID-19. Horrible."
Pros: "The emergency row seat was good."
Cons: "The hidden carry on luggage fee is terrible."
Pros: "They got me here."
Cons: "Comfort, crew, entertainment, etc"
Cons: "The woman sitting across the aisle from me wasn't wearing a mask. I asked her to put one on and she refused. I asked a crew member to ask her and she also didn't comply. It was uncomfortable and I was disappointed the crew didn't do more to force the issue."
Cons: "Good service"
Cons: "The crew was loud and obnoxious, making fun of the passengers"
Cons: "HORRIBLE CREW! I’ve never been treated so poorly by a professional in any industry. They were childish and inconsiderate. They made the already horrible experience of flying with this subpar airline even worse! I would never recommend this airline to anyone. I wouldn’t fly this airline again if they paid me to. We were in the 4th row and wanted to use the restroom, they put their cart in front of aisle (horizontally) and told us we couldn’t use the front restroom. No explanation at all. Just said “you have to use the one in the back”. As we turned to walk all the way to the back you could hear them laughing and snickering at us. Another example was when we pushed the call light to ask them to take our 4 empty cans so we’d have room for our laptop on the tray. She came to our seats and asked what we wanted. When we told her she said “you’ll have to wait” then walked away empty handed. It made no sense and they didn’t pick up the garbage for awhile later. Overall, the worst. Don’t fly this airline, EVER!"
Pros: "Cheaper prices. Safe flight in a steel tube. Because Frontier charges for food, the stewards/stewardesses were very quiet about it and let the passengers sleep."
Cons: "Food costs extra. the fact that I didn't get notice beforehand about purchasing my bag space before getting to the front counter and paying there. So it was more expensive. Boo! The fact that baggage costs money. The fact that you get yelled at over the airline PA that if you can no longer place your carry on in the overhead bins unless you paid for it, and that your bags must now go underneath the seat in front of you, when leg space is already tight. And, no, I am not overweight by a long shot."
Pros: "It's hard to enjoy any part of the experience when it's uncomfortable."
Cons: "There isn't any room on the plane. Very uncomfortable. I recommend using roomier plans on flights exceeding an hour."
Pros: "We were amazed by the initial cost of $120 round trip ticket"
Cons: "The dates of our event changed, so we needed to adjust our original booking. The change cost $100 per ticket to change, and additional fees on top of that. We have taken on all of the extra fees for the change, and now there will be bag fees and whatever else we run into on the day of travel. We accept the fact that some fees are normal for change of itinerary, but it feels like we are getting nickel and dimed right now. This is what we were warned about from friends when we initially booked our "great rate"!"
Pros: "The old bait and switch! I could have paid that extra $60 on a better seat on a better airline. Which I will do next time."
Pros: "The crew were very nice and professional, the flight was on time as well."
Cons: "Yes it's a budget airline but the seats are not very comfortable and there is absolutely no leg room unless your 5'4 and they do not recline. The seating arrangement is nuts they choose for you, you can choose yourself if you join their club and you still have to pay. The carry on/checking fee is $30 if your bag is 50 lbs or less. Otherwise you will pay $75 I believe. The only thing that is free is water by the cup otherwise the small bottle water is expensive. Yes it's a budget airline so remember, on longer flights I think I would rather pay more and have a more comfortable flight. Also the Airbus 319/320 that they use suck. They are old and you feel a lot of turbulence."
Pros: "The plane was spacious."
Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable with no recline or movable headrest options. Paying for a carry on bag was outrageous. More expensive than a checked bag. I checked in online and meant to pay for a checked bag, but accidentally payed for a carry on. When I went to check in in the morning for the flight they wouldn't refund me a portion of the money. Paying for soda or juice, also ridiculous. The delays were also absurd. We did not get explanations for why were just sitting on the run way and not taking off."
Pros: "The crew was fabulous. Basically any actual person I talked to was lovely and pleasant."
Cons: "I mean, I understand that it's the goal of the company to sucker consumers out of every penny they can, Frontier is just very in your face about it to the detriment of the overall experience. Throughout the online check in process there was an endless stream of popups asking if I was SURE I didn't want to pay more for a carry on, to choose my seat, etc which made the check in process very tedious and frustrating. And doing blatant things like making the "yes I want to pay more" button huge and basically trying to hide the "no thanks" button. As if customers aren't going to see right through that and get annoyed? (Their cost benefit analysis really didn't account for happier people being more willing to pay for extra things) Also, when my flight home got cancelled it was almost impossible to get a hold of a real person to talk to. Since it was due to weather conditions Frontier had an announcement on their website about what to do. Which...had a convenient link to requesting a refund but no instructions on how to go about re-booking, just that it was theoretically a thing they would do. When I called their customer service I was met with a recorded message about how they're overwhelmed with calls (understandable) followed by same message that was on their website and then...nothing. They ended the call. No option to speak to a person, no "you'll need to wait an hour for someone to be available", no menu to flip through...nothing. Frontier just very obviously doesn't care about customer experience (other airlines/companies at least have the decency to pretend). You'll get an adequate flight pretty cheap (provided you didn't want to bring a significant amount of luggage or eat/drink on the flight) that will get you from point A to point B. Just don't have any expectations going in."
Pros: "Nothing to like about Frontier Airlines . My daughters flight on Dec 18 from Portland was delayed , delayed , then cancelled . The same thing happened the next night with Frontier saying the soonest flight to Denver would be on Dec 24 . She was traveling with her family to see her sister , in Denver , give birth to her first baby .Besides your Frontier agent was screaming at the customers . Frontier ought to be embarassed .The reason Frontier cancelled two days in a row was lack of Frontier employees in Denver which caused a luggage snafu ."
Cons: "Everything Frontier did to help ? That`s a joke .I spent over 4 hours on the phone just trying to get through . Nothing like a robot telling me not to hang up and having my phone die twice after being on hold for an hour and a half"
Pros: "Departed on time. Flight generally fine."
Cons: "Baggage service in Denver. Considering that Denver is a major hub for Frontier, I would have thought that the baggage claim process would be good. On the contrary, we and about 15 - 20 other customers waited more than 90 minutes for our baggage. The conveyer belt bringing the baggage up to the carousel stopped twice. The second time, it was not fixed for nearly 30 minutes - AFTER THIS WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THREE DIFFERENT FRONTIER BAGGAGE PERSONNEL. Frontier baggage personnel were ineffective and indifferent. I asked one Frontier employee about the delays - the only response I got was " They were a little short handed and little behind. " " Total Indifference " seems to bear the Frontier customer service motto as far as baggage is concerned - and I paid for the damn baggage service."
Cons: "Baggage claim. We waited 90 minutes to get our baggage at the main hub of Frontier in Denver. Frontier baggage employees were incompetent and totally disinterested and and had no idea there was any problem with baggage. When this was brought to the attention of three different Frontier employees, no fix was made for nearly thirty minutes - and this was the second time that the conveyor belt stopped. Frontier employees were totally indifferent and did nothing to personally help rectify situation. Customers from multiple flights were waiting extended periods of time. Horrible service and enough to make paying customer refuse to use Frontier in the future."
Cons: "I was charged $45 at the gate to bring a carry on onto the plane. My carry on fit into the "personal item" box which meant that I wouldn't have to pay for a carry on, but they laughed and said that I would still have to pay This was not made clear anywhere during the purchasing process and represented a 35% increase in the fare at the gate. I was furious and I wil never fly frontier again."
Cons: "Seating is extremely uncomfortable. They are fixed, leave little leg room (it is hard to retrieve things from the floor), and very, very firm. Overall it is the most cramped seating I've every encountered on an airline!"
Pros: "Great price, picked my seat (extra charge but worth it), friendly and competent crew, on time and not one hassle."
Cons: "Food choices very limited, especially when compared to the adult beverages available. It was a short flight so not a starvation issue but a few more choices would have been nice. Bring your own snack!"
Pros: "Arriving at Denver, NO gates available...we sat on the tarmac about 1 hour, with the seat belt light lites on. Captain told us there would be a delay until a gate opened up. He, nor any of the stewardesses made any other contact for at least 1/2 hour. Finaly, the captain said we could use the restrooms as we waited. NO contact from the flight crew, or other contact from the Captain until we were finally led to a gate. Communication is everything. It would have eased the temperaments of the passengers a great deal to have more updates, and even the presence of a stewardess. NOTHING>"
Cons: "When we checked in at the counter they did not inform us about carry-on charges. Most airlines don't charge fees for carry-ons, but frontier does. We had to pay $60 each for small carry-on at the gate. This practice is unfair to people who are not familiar with cheap airline business models. They should be more transparent about their fees on the ticket and at the counter. This cheap airline is so cheap that they couldn't hire enough staffs at the DCA gate. There's only one staff checking in the tickets at the gate and we had to wait until everyone went into the plane to pay for our $60 check in fees."
Cons: "It is 1:15 am and we are still waiting for the 9:15 flight. It is not the weather or mechanical delays. It is a personnel problem. The plane was "delayed" out of San Diego. The first officer relayed that he would time out on arrival and he did when the plane landed. The replacement has 2 hours to arrive. This got quite late and the waiting pilot got angry and stormed out. Now we are waiting for his replacement, if any. The airport is packed with delayed Frontier flights. The weather is beautiful. All other airlines are gone. This same flight was delayed for the last two nights in a row. They refuse to consider compensation. They can't even guarantee that a pilot will show up. This all seems Mickey Mouse to me. This is a fly-by-night operation (no pun intended). My advise would be to avoid Frontier if at all possible. The cost is about the same as competitors, anyway, due to the staggering add-on costs. I am surprised that we are not charged for oxygen"
Pros: "I'm cool with saving a few bucks and not getting free soda and peanuts."
Cons: "I feel like Frontier takes the no frills thing a bit extreme, and then relies on the customer to work within the confines of their rules without making it super clear what those rules are. Seats a VERY uncomfortable, thin almost non-existent padding over hard plastic. Seats also cost money and you're not offered to buy your seats ahead of time but only when you check in, or if you know ahead how Frontier operates. Puts some folks in the position of having to buy expensive seats on the spot at check in. Also this is my 3rd Frontier flight in as many months and every time something has gone wrong, delays, or computers down. 1 more chance with me on my flight home in 2 weeks. If it messes up again, I'm officially never booking again."
Pros: "The crew was nice and efficient at getting everyone settled; finding space for baggage."
Cons: "Didn't like that my seat was hard and uncomfortable and didn't seem to recline. Both my flights were delayed; waited an hour for baggage transfer from a connecting flight that really should have been sent the next day. Had to pay for a soft drink. Don't like all the extra costs on this airline. Might be more tolerable if the comfort level was higher. No entertainment folks, so be sure to bring your own, along with peanuts, drink or any other snack you may want. I will be sure to research airlines better before booking next time."
Pros: "I had low expectations since Frontier's switch to low budget. But after accepting the inevitable add-on costs for carry on, seat reservations etc, I found the flight comfortable and efficient. Only gripe is that the seat did not decline, which I assume helps them cram more seats into the cabin."
Pros: "My expectations were lower, so I was less disappointed. On time."
Cons: "No reclining seat, no moveable headrest, had to pay for extra baggage besides a purse. So blatantly and offensively cheap."
Pros: "On board attendants were pleasant and friendly. The arrival and departure were timely. On this trip my seat mates were thin enough that they fit within their seats as compared to another Frontier flight I took where my seat mates were a husband and wife who I estimate both weighed over 300 pounds. Even though they did not use the arm rest between the two of them, their combined weight/hel bulged over and under the arm rest next to me so I had at most 2/3 of the already small and cramped seat for myself."
Cons: "I think it is basically deceptive to advertise comparatively low prices then charge between $10 to $70 to obtain round trip seat assignments, $60-80 to carry one bag round trip, and $2.99 for a soda. I don't like the fact that even if you have a boarding pass that it is necessary to go through the entire line with folks who may or may not have a boarding pass to check a bag. If I had known this I would have paid the extra amount for a carry on bag. The non reclining skinny seat style and limited knee room/leg room is tolerable for a 2 or 3 hour flight but I can't imagine taking a much longer Frontier flight."
Pros: "Gate agents and flight crews were very nice people."
Cons: "Seats were barely minimum quality, no entertainment systems, no food (not even a little bag of peanuts or pretzels), flights were late, and on the last leg I missed my connection, partly because we were late, but also because there was no ground crew to get the plane to the gate, so we waited over 15 minutes just meters from the dock, and watched the ground crew handle several other planes down the line, during which time my last flight must have taken off. I was rebooked on the next flight to my destination, even mentioning my checked bag, which I hoped would also be placed on the next flight out. That last flight was also delayed in departing, and when I arrived at my destination, my bag did not. I filed a claim, and was told I'd receive an email with a claim # and contact info, and my bag would be delivered to my home the following day. No emai arrived, and no bag arrived. I have filed another claim via the airline's web site, so we'll see what happens. Also, they charge high prices (IMO) for checked bags, carry-on bags (1 personal item is free), and seat selection. Not as economical as it seems at first! I doubt I will ever use this airline again."
Pros: "My husband said that there was a little more room than usual in the seats, in part bc the seats don't have a full size drop down tray. I did appreciate that the seats were comfortable even though they don't tilt back, and since they don't tilt back, it means you don't have the person in front of you tilting all the way back into your space."
Cons: "Frontier is really just another cheap airline that will charge you extra for everything now. It's annoying enough that you have to pay to get a seat assignment and to take a bag (carry on or check) but when the flight attendant said it would cost be $1.99 to get a cup of coffee, that was it for me. I also found the dinky little half trays annoying - there's no way to do anything on them. and since they don't lock, every child on the plane spent the entire trip dropping them down to hear the loud sound they made. Also with the arm rests. Oy. Also, the board of our flight out of Denver was ridiculous. The flight was delayed quite a bit and then Frontier check in person not once but twice announced we would begin boarding only to then realize it wasn't ready yet and shut the doors. It was really weird."
Cons: "Arrived well before the flight to check bag which I paid $35 (highest rate for check in bag yet-compared to other airlines). Took over an hour to check bag as there was one person checking bags at DIA. The other employee was assigned to the customers who had paid a premium fee. Many of the customers left the long lines and went to curb side to check their bags. When I arrived at gate, flight was delayed. I got on the plane and into my seat. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention and sat in 8F, not 8E. There was a woman and her daughter who came on late and they gave 8E to the daughter. Moments later a woman, came and asked me to show my boarding pass. I took out my phone but forgot I had switched it to airplane mode as we were due to leave. In a full flight, the woman (Robin), started telling me that I was on the wrong flight and that I was on the later flight. I couldn't bring up my seat assignment because I was frazzled and embarrassed as she insisted I get up and leave with her. I thought we were going out to check my assignment, but when I got out to the gate, I realized that the plane was leaving. Robin and the crew realized they had made a mistake and told me the only thing they could do was get me on the 10 p.m. flight out of Denver. Never have I been treated so poorly. All someone had to do was ask my name which did not happen until I was totally humiliated as I struggled to get off the plane and was out at the gate. I was reimbursed my flight and was given a check and a $15 voucher for dinner which didn't cover my dinner. I took the later flight and arrived home at 0100 a.m. My husband had to come home from the coast (2 hour drive) to take care of our dogs who were waiting for me to come home to feed them and get them out of the heat."
Cons: "The three hour delay which was only partially explained by weather."
Cons: "Boarding was completely disorganized. The attendant shouted the boarding order which was completely ignored. Our flight was delayed but we didn't know because because the sign indicated that it was "On-time" because we were held in a holding pattern for more than 45 minutes our plane ran low on fuel and we had to be diverted to Colorado Springs to refuel. Because of these delays we missed our connecting flight. We stood in line for more than an hour to see when we could fly out. We were told the airline would not compensate us for a hotel room even though the next flight out was not to be until the afternoon of the next day. Because of a convention in town there were NO hotels available. I am a 70 year old woman and I had to spend the night in the airport with my grandson. I have not had any sleep and we are still waiting (3 & 1/2 hours to go as of now) for our flight out. Because Frontier does not partner (I think this is likely the other way around) with any of the other airlines we could not even get a flight with one of them. Beyond that the seats are plastic with barely any padding and most uncomfortable. I will NEVER use this airline again. I am outraged."
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and the plane for the most part was clean."
Cons: "This is a very stripped down way to travel. Expect to be nickeled and dimed for everything. Carry on ran me $40. However, they don't check if you actually paid the carry on fee and put your things in the overhead compartment. I watched people putting the backpacks and other items up there (and they did not pay). Additionally, nothing is for free on board- food and drinks will cost you (even a soda). The worst was not realizing you are assigned a seat (free), I got the middle seat (yay)! If you want to check in and select a seat, it will cost you $9 to $45 for any seat (they also do not recline)... Just crazy! My trip ended up costing me the same amount as a Virgin America ticket I passed up because it was too expensive."
Cons: "Was at boarding gate A36..which is what the big board said to be at..my ticket, as well. Waiting with 100+ other passengers at gate..watching Netflix out of boredom waiting on plane. 15 mins past departure time..I go to customer service and they tell me its MY FAULT I missed the plane that left 4 minutes prior because THEY changed the gate to A32.. There was no change on the board..but they said it was announced. It wasn't made clear to those of us who thought we were in the right gate waiting. I was able to fly out until the next morning..putting a lot of plans I and others had in serious jeopardy. Your customer service agents have MUCH to be desired..very rude..taking customers that walked up behind me while making me wait on them to get their sh*t together. I almost lost the only flight available out the next day because they were chatting amongst themselves about personal problems!!"
Pros: "It got me where I needed to go, and that's about it."
Cons: "Horribly uncomfortable seats, no complimentary beverages other than water, $30 carry on fee per bag that you are not told of up front, I was not told at any point in the booking that I would have to pay additional fees to pick seats (this makes no sense at all). On the first leg of my trip the crew was complaining about the passengers on the plane while in the aisle for us all to hear - very unprofessional....needless to say, I will not be flying Frontier again."
Pros: "Nothing stands out as what I liked - the crew and boarding were average, so I guess not negative is good in this case."
Cons: "I chose this flight because of cost but don't be fooled - you will pay for everything extra - seat selection, carry-on or checked luggage, even coffee or snacks, extra. The seats are absolutely terrible in my opinion, don't recline, limited padding, very uncomfortable if flying over 2 hours. At the end of the day, this was only like $25 less than another airline (american in this case) - and all the other airlines are much more comfortable and include those little things like carry-on, nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. It isn't worth it, use another airline!"
Cons: "WORST AIRLINE EXPERIENCE EVER. I got totally ripped off! I paid for the ticket + the airline has you pay for seats on the connecting flight AND the 2nd flight + $40 for a carry on. At the end of the day I could have paid for a badass flight on ANOTHER CARRIER. I'll remember to NEVER fly this airline again. The non-reclining seats cost extra cash which is not properly disclosed during ticket purchase, a carry-on bag cost extra cash, the seats don't recline, the tray tables are tiny, THEY EVEN CHARGE FOR WATER."
Pros: "The flight crew were pleasant, but since I didn't want to be nickle and dimed for drinks or food, I didn't have much interaction."
Cons: "The hidden charges were ridiculous, plus they were "hidden" during the purchasing process. I felt "bullied" into paying for this and that, but resisted. Plus, nowhere does it say that only rows 1,3, and 13 had reclining seats. Having just hurt my back, I felt tingling in my spine for both 2 &1/2 hr. flights and could not get comfortable...not to mention the seats were hard as a rock and did not fit the shape of my short body. I also thought it strange to only have half of a tray table! Really? I couldn't even get my water bottle to rest on it without falling off. If I had seen the reviews I am seeing now, I would have chosen another airline. Cutting corners is one thing, making a flying experience uncomfortable and miserable for your customers was a bad business decision in my book."
Pros: "The plane is clean and the crew nice."
Cons: "I'm sure you get this all the time and you clearly have thought about it but when you add up all of the ala carte extras, then the fact is another airline would likely be better. I spend $16 on the seat and $40 on the carry on. Interesting nickel and dime concept for sure. But then I get to the seat and it doesn't recline. OK, that's fine I guess I only paid $16 for the seat. But what's with that thing you call a "pull down tray". You can't get a computer on it, even my tiny MAC. So I put my briefcase on my lap and I guess made my own little table. That's a bit much."
Pros: "All was on time, crew was friendly, emergency on board was handled well."
Cons: "The seats are not movable, so you could not lean back a little. No screen for entertainment, tray table was less than half the normal size, uselss, snack choices, had little that one might consider healthy. A lot of junk food, and a huge offering of alcoholic beverages. Could we maybe have healthier food. It could still be pre-packaged somehow. Cost of carry on: $30. Checked suitcase: $25. That did not really make any sense, other than they make more money that way. Also irritating that if you want to have a specific seat, rather than waiting for what you might get at the airport, you have to call them, and pay $13 for a seat reservation. They are nickel and diming you, or rather in dollars. It is a rip off."
Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "Very cheap and hard seats, pay for everything including carry ons, water, coffee and cheap food items. I will think twice about using this airline again."
Cons: "Overall not happy with my Frontier experience. Extra charges for bags and seat assignment are really ridiculous if they aren't explained upfront. Would have booked on a different airline if I'd realized those fees would drive up my fare another $50. After all that the plane itself feels crowded and uncomfortable. Their "schedule" is also misleading and neither of my flights took off or landed as advertised. I also really hated watching flight attendants (people responsible for your safety!) finish each flight by pitching a credit card. Truly awful."
Cons: "When we obtained our boarding passes, the Assistant could not speak English very well and kept pointing at our computer screen from behind her desk-thanks, but we didn't need her help. Upon boarding, we were taken aside to have our bags checked. We were told that both bags needed to be checked, and it would be $60 per bag, total $120. We were not told why because again, the Assistants could not speak English. They again, just pointed at the sign on the side of their desk and to the bag measurements. One of the bags fit in the overhead compartment, and we were not told why we had to pay for it to be checked. The flight was at most 60% full. There was plenty of overhead space. On top of all of this, when we checked in for departure with the same airline, the Assistant told us both of our bags were free because the person with whom I was traveling was military!!"
