After boarding we sat in the plane without moving to the runway for 30 minutes just making the 8 hour flight even longer. The gate at the Lisbon airport was overly small and restrictive with everyone crammed in and unable to leave after initially entering."

You would think it was 1968 or something! Unacceptable in this day and age of communication! The wedding is in 48 hours and can’t find our bags? All this was explained to the airline in Rome the baggage handlers etc. etc. still nothing. Absolutely amazing and disappointing!"

Man in seat next to me did not get served a drink at all. Did not offer headphones. No wifi for 3/4 of trip."

Cons: "The flight attendants both seemed unhappy and we're not very polite. They hardly came through the cabin at all. It took a while to get anything. They mostly just stayed in the back talking to each other. The pilot didn't greet us. Just stood there when we walked in. And there was a kid screaming for most of the trip. My seat was broken and wouldn't recline. This was my first trip flying, and on the trip to Miami I flew with Delta. The service with them was tremendously better. I was really disappointed."

That was a great gift since he doesn't sleep and is jumping and crawling all over the place. And I'm sure the other passengers were breathing sighs of relief!! Also super smooth landing and nice flight attendants."

Cons: "The flight attendant chastised my husband loudly when doing a pre check before take off. She reached over and yanked his charger our of the socket and stood over him and reprimanded him for not being on airplane mode. The passengers in front were turning around while the passengers behind were laughing. It was excessive and inappropriate. The passengers behind him had tray tables down and video games out and when she addressed them it was in a respectful manner, but when addressing my husband, it was disrespectful and unprofessional. Seemed to be discrimination as she did not treat any other passengers like this. I wish I would have captured this on video to share with American Airlines as I do not think they would condone her behavior. Her name was Marlene and she needs additional training regarding customer service."

We then had to sit on the runway for 40+ minutes until we could take off. Since we were traveling with two small children, it would have been preferable to spend those extra 40 minutes in the terminal rather than on the plane."

Cons: "The tray was very dirty and obviously had not been disinfected from the previous flight. So I brought it to the attention of one of the crew members, and I felt like she made fun of me in front of other passengers for not liking my tray dirty; and she got a little paper towel for serving, wet it with a bottled water, and wiped my tray quickly. Not hygienic at all and not a word of apology. AIR FRANCE is so much better when it comes to customer service! Also I did not like the constant interruption on the speakers, very loud in my headsets and difficult to watch a movie on tiny screens. The crew members seemed very bossy and uncaring, if not actually rude."

Peanuts and water/coffee grudgingly served, but lots of enthusiasm for opening a United Credit Card. I will pay more for a different airline next time - just for normal sized seats."

Cons: "My seat 3 of the 4 of my connecting flight seats were broken and could not recline. I could smell urine coming from the bathroom from my seat while waiting for people to board(3 hrs of urine smell will ruin any flight experience). The internet did not work coming back from Central America so if you don't have the entertainment app already on your phone, you couldn't watch any tv since you can't even download the app. Other airlines normally have a monitor so their customers can watch tv and not stain their eyes looking at their phone. But with United, if you don't get beat up the airline, its considered a win."

Cons: "I was delayed /cancelled 12 times due to air traffic and arrived 27 hours after I was suppose to. Instead of 1 connecting flight they made me take another connecting flight. I was offered no vouchers for anything and all the people at the desks were very rude. To top it all off they lost my luggage and they still haven't found it, it's been over 24 hours"

Cons: "My husband, sister, brother-in-law and myself flew into STL. We thought we had booked the same flight but when we got there found out our departure flight was different. We asked about moving them to our floght but it was over booked so we asked if we could move to there flight. They had 15 open seats. They told us no. There would be a charge of 500 dollars if we wanted to change. We decided to just fly out first and meet them there. We stood by the counter to speak about meeting. As we did we could hear them telling the next couple that they would have to move to the later flight. It was a huge problem for them as they would miss there connection. We then offered again to take the later flight so they could take our place on the over booked flight and make there connection. They where unwilling. Then we get on the flight and the plane was nasty and dirty. We put out tray table down and there was drink and dirt all over it. When asked if they could be cleaned we got an attitude. They never came back to do it. Luckily I had a wet wipe to do it. The plan smelled like urine. Same was true for our return flight. The plane was very old and not taken care of. This is not the first problem is we have had with United. We will not be flying with them any longer."
