Cons: "Couldn't reach airline by phone to change my flight. After several attempts and an hour on hold they disconnected. Website won't help. Air China isn't a reliable airline."
Pros: "very friendly, courteous staff comfortable seat"
Cons: "check-in process was confusing"
Pros: "Excellent service!"
Pros: "My flight was exhausting zing eventually uncomfortable. The seats weren't clean as it irritated my skin. I didn't eat the food as I couldn't identify it. Passengers were told it was "chicken" but it didn't appear to be chicken. The flight attendants didn't know English so they weren't helpful at all"
Cons: "Cleanliness of plane. Better food and beverage quality. Bilingual flight attendants."
Cons: "The flight should be on time"
Pros: "Plane didn't crash! :)"
Cons: "My issues were with the other passengers, not with anything the airline could've prevented. It's a budget airline, you get a budget experience, but I didn't have any huge problems with anything."
Cons: "All old movies, no charging ports for economy class, and the flight attendants weren’t the nicest I’ve encountered."
Pros: "Boarding was quick."
Cons: "1 hour delay, no ability to pre book special meal, 787s are horrible for long haul which is counter intuitive as to why they were built."

Pros: "The service"
Pros: "Attentive crew"
Cons: "poor food variety"
Pros: "The staff was very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The plane was extremely out dated. Half the functions of the entertainment screen didn’t work. No outlets or usb to charge anything. No control over the overhead reading lights."
Cons: "I have to change schedule but cannot do it on-line. I ended up purchasing a new ticket. I try to cancel the ticket but cannot do it on-line."

Pros: "Overall all basic comforts we're provided at reasonable price."
Cons: "Not Much options for vegetarian food."
Pros: "on time fast boarding"
Cons: "need salt and pepper for food serves need more spoken english movies"
Cons: "Flight cancelled (not because of weather or emergency) without notify me at all! Disarrster trip! At the end both of my luggages lost! I was told they are still in Beijing. Pray I can get them in several days later!"
Cons: "You name it, I've flown it, but Air China takes the cake for all-around worst experience on a plane. For starters, the idea of customer service hasn't made it's way to Air China. The staff were cold, at best, and rude, at worst. The food is one step below prison food. In my opinion, it was inedible. Every Air China flight I took (and I took 4) were the most turbulent I've ever taken, almost as if the pilot was purposefully trying to rattle us. Finally, one of the most annoying things about Air China is not being able to check in via app. Their tech is from 1987, so you have to go to their airport counter and endure long lines. I will NEVER fly with them again."
Pros: "There is nothing I liked about Air China. It is a joke of an airline."
Cons: "Things I didn't like: 1. Cannot use smartphones during the entirety of the flight: customers should be warned that smartphones are not allowed to be used during the entire flight. I would not of chosen this horrible airlines if I'd known. I would of gladly spent hundreds more on another airline to avoid this inconvenience. I saved games and movies I wanted to play onto my phone for my 20hr flight and learned from the flight attendant that phones usage was not permitted. What a waste. Plus their movie selections were very limited and a complete joke compared to American, Delta, Virgin, or JetBlue. 2. Food: HORRIBLE TASTING FOOD. Air China should be ashamed of themselves to represent "Chinese food" in this way. I found 3 out of 4 of my meals completely inedible and absolutely disgusting. 3. Most cramped seats I've ever flew in: These seats are just tests to see how much you can put up with flying."
Cons: "Not enough time to transfer due to delay and staff wasn't helpful"
Cons: "It smelled like people were or had recently been smoking inside of the aircraft, the seat’s padding had been crushed into nothing and the food was gristly chicken with some sort of gravey."
Cons: "My bags were lost!"
Pros: "That Thai Air let us use their business lounge since we arrived 9 hours before leaving. We were bus class with them"
Cons: "Cannot check your bags when in transit and go to your business lounge."
Pros: "The food service and inflight entertainment"
Cons: "In service entertainment did not start until in the air."
Pros: "Not a fully booked flight so more space. Also arrived early."
Cons: "Food selection was limited and not as abundant as other air china flights."
Pros: "My TV was not working. I was asking to change to last sit, The flight attendant told me, that sit is for them. However later after, I saw a couple was sitting over there. The couple were not working stuff."
Pros: "crew were nice and attentive"
Cons: "Food was pretty bland Not very many films in english"
Pros: "Literally nothing. I guess the crew was nice. Sufficient at least and not unpleasant."
Cons: "Where to start. First off, I have flown budget air carriers with more leg room than this pacific international flight. I do admit I am a taller than average guy, but if you are over 6' tall you will have NO legroom. And I mean none. It is an insulting amount of legroom. My 5'6" wife barely had any room, never mind myself. On my flight back, I requested an emergency exit row seat (as I noticed on the flight over the emergency exit row was filled with old people and young couples with babies/ young children). And was informed it would cost $120 USD per flight per person. My jaw almost hit the floor. You mean to tell me that the emergency exit row - the row where in the case of an emergency you are supposed to physically be able to assist passengers - actually COSTS money to sit in? That is an absolute disgrace. You have to pay for the added responsibility to help in the case of an emergency? Of course, once I was on the flight the emergency exit row was filled with old people and babies. All of course perfectly capable of helping in the case of an emergency. I was, and still am furious. The gall to charge that much money and then give the responsibility to people unable to help? Meanwhile, an able-bodied couple in the 20s is denied and I am cramped in my less-than-acceptable-for-budget-airlines legroom. And the food. Putrid. Inedible. It was somehow overwhelmingly fragrant while far too bland. Its hard to imagine someone putting together that meal and feeling proud. The meals all screamed "I do not care about my customers." In fact, that is the overwhelming feeling I got from Air China. An airline that truly could not careless about their customers. I would not reccommend. Even if they are the cheapest by a far margin. Stay away. Do not go near. Air China is a terrible airline that should be avoided at all costs."
Pros: "Just fine."
Pros: "We arrived alive and the plane didnt crash. Thats all."
Cons: "We had a 12 hour flight and not once was the fasten seatbelt sign turned off despite the weather being very smooth. How do they expect people to not pee for 12 hours? Seats were hard as a rock. Staff seemed unhappy and definitely were not courteous. I asked for a glass of wine with my meal and it took them well over an hour to bring it. They say to turn off your cellphone for the whole flight. Airplane mode was not said to be okay and my husband is a rule follower and wouldnt let me use my phone in airplane mode. Definitely no wifi available if you wanted that."
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Cons: "Check in was very stressful and chaotic, need a long bus ride to board the airplane (such international flight should have its own gate), food not so good."
Cons: "My fly was delayed 2 times. First, i flu from lax to beijing, my fly was changed at last minutes so they changed our to another fly to have enough time to transfer in beijing . However, i had to pay 150$ more for the seat because this fly was full. Second, my fly in Beijing was delayed again. this time I waited 6 hours. When i asked them how long this fly delayed? They did not give me any answer, so my family in vietnam was waiting for me 6 hours in the airport. I will never back with air china. I think they delayed the fly on their purpose. They have many choice for time when you book ticket . Bur later they will delay to have full customer from many different fly make all customers in only one fly to save their cost"
Pros: "The price was right, the service was decent."
Cons: "Maybe Im picky but the food was only just OK and the entertainment system seemed a bit dated compared to other airlines. No charging ports available."
Pros: "I like Eva air better. This was ok, but Eva keeps the bathroom in tip top shape. Air China doesn't seem to keep cleaning the restroom throughout the flight. They seem to run late too which is fine because customs in beijing is slow. Plenty of food, no complaints there."
Pros: "Crew was very nice."
Cons: "Plane feels old. You get what you pay for, by far the cheapest airfare - but the audio jack for my in-flight entertainment did not work. Had to relocate to the very last row of the plane."
Cons: "wouldnt let our entire group on the flight after we all had seats because of a delay in our connecting flight."
Cons: "All members we encountered were not overly warm or nice, especially given that our flight was delayed which caused our next flight to be missed. They did find another flight for us the same day, but at the airport we were quarantined (so to speak) and could not leave to get food or drinks until the decision was made that we could officially get on the proposed flight. The vending machine offered did not take credit card and we could not leave to exchange currency. On flight, the crew was the same, when I was in the bathroom there was a large bang on the door..I assume to let me know to get out as we would be landing soon...which we didn't land for another 30 minutes. Food was gross, same as above with drinks. I could go on and on..needless to say I won't be flying Air China again."
Pros: "Great flight attendant service. ."
Cons: "Poor amenities: no sandals, no warm towels. Poor airplane"
Pros: "Very comfortable business class seats, very attentive service. My husband left his electronic devices on the plain and it was very easy to receive back."
Cons: "I wish the food was better."
Pros: "Food on PKG to JFK was very good, staff on planes were nice and efficient. Lounge in PKG was roomy and not overloaded, but food was weak. The 6 across lie flat worked good for me, not as roomy as the 4 across in some competitors but for the price was very good. I would do it all again gladly if I knew they fixed the airport - but how would you know and how could you believe them."
Cons: "Most important AVOID Beijing for transfer. 1.5 Hours on line, open unchanneled line with cut ins and it might be 2 hours if we were not a typical couple who walked past it not believing there could be sucha large line for merely doing and international transfer. This is of course after a long long walk with minimal signage. Good thing I scheduled a 4 hour layover - it became a 2 hour stand over. A horror. If I book that again I my wife may divorce me."
Pros: "My husband and I used Air China for the first time for our honeymoon to Asia. My biggest complaint is that many of the passengers on these flights cough and sneeze without covering their mouths. Speaking with a few natives from China, I learned that this was common in their culture. Please, PLEASE wear a mask if you decide to fly Air China. I got a throat infection and 103 degree fever from our flight to China. My husband got a sinus infection on the flight back. I personally will not take the risk again. The quality of the seats, service and entertainment are all mediocre at best. I'm use to seats a little bigger for international flights. The food also was very basic Asian dishes (rice or noodles and a protein in sauce). The service was just ok."
Cons: "So much carry on baggage no space for my bags."
Pros: "Lost my bag took 3 days to find. No updates incompetent baggage personnel food inedible. Fight attendants discriminate. Chinese man beside me got numerous drinks/snack I got one glass of orange juice ife at my seat broken and garbled. My electrical outlet did not work no compensation for lost bag"
Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "Horrible food In flight entertainment system was poor, outdated, very less choices"
Pros: "Slept for most of the 14 hour flight, but there were 3 tasty meals, great legroom for a 6'1 guy, and okay entertainment."
Cons: "The flight attendants aren't rude, but they're not pleasant, a bit aggressive and forgetful, or they just don't care about what you ask for. They kind of treat you like you're stupid, and by the middle of the flight, you're intimidated to ask them for things."
Pros: "Feet devices helped keepi legs elevated."
Cons: "Crew very rigid and militant. Windows were ordered to be open regardless of glair since I was sick and my eyes were sensitive to the strong light. Drinks were only offered once in a 13 hour flight. I had to keep going to the back to ask for it as I was dehidrated due to a bad cold..not a kind crew. Will not fly in Air China again."
Cons: "Announcements in Chinese (OK) but when live and not the tape one could not tell wheather the stewardess was talking in Chinese or English until she would say....thank you Need to improve their English, little difficult to communicate with them, otherwise very polite, attentive and clean."
Pros: "GOOD HELPFUL STAFF"
Cons: "FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT"
