The flight staff were polite, seats were comfortable, and we reached our destinations on time. This was my first time traveling first class since the pandemic. The difference in service was dramatic and made me seriously regret having paid three times more for a first class ticket. Specifically No Sky Cap lounge - One of the main reasons I traveled first class was to use the Sky Cap lounge since we were going to have to wait for our flight for several hours at PDX. PDX Sky Cap would not allow us to enter as first class passengers. The receptionist said we needed to have their American Express Card. Further the Las Vegas Sky Cap lounge is permanently closed. Food - Our first flight was early in the morning, so I thought no need to grab breakfast in the airport, I'm traveling first class. The only food we were served or offered between LAS and PDX was Biscoff cookies. Our return trip was the same. Seems the days of being served a hot meal in first class are long gone.

Pros: "Crew was great, very generous with snacks and beverages, and prior to boarding we were able to switch flights and seats without problem. All the Delta agents were extremely helpful, and had great customer service!"

Thanks for the wonderful service. Flight attendants were all smiling and very friendly. When my 1st flight was delayed I asked to be rebooked then and the delta employee insisted that I would make my connection. I didn't make it. This is not all. I could have gotten to a near city several hours after but on the same day, but the mediocrecy of this employes did not allow me to get there until the next day at 7 am. Happy new year to me. This two women (or one of them) on the phone, lied to me. There was an option to get me here and one of them failed to do their job right AND LIED TO MY FACE ON THE PHONE. Just unacceptable. I will sue them, I had an under age waiting for me in Cancun and a pet with me!. With no food or access to do its necessities. AND THERE WAS AN OPTION THAT "they missed" on porpuse."

Cons: "They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed."

We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options."

Repeatedly told the connecting flight was the last one out of the entire airport to my final destination. Heard other travelers discussing that they had been rebooked onto an alternate airline and then found a later flight on Kayak, walked up to podium and asked to be rebooked on that specific flight, which they grudgingly did. Of note, I was repeatedly reassured that they were "sure" I would make my connection without a problem and to stop worrying so much. My flight left out of Madison 2 minutes after my connection departed Chicago. I usually fly a different airline, whose flights out of Madison were all on time that day, and will do so in the future despite more expensive ticket. The actual crew on the flight was lovely and apologetic, did everything they could to help us despite the delays. At least that's something."

I have had very bad experiences with other airlines in the past because they did not communicate properly their gate change and I missed my flight and missed events I was flying for. Excellent job to United for communicating gate changes very well! They did not break any of my luggage and the seats were fairly comfortable. The employees were also very attentive and willing to answer any questions."

I had my movie turned up all the way with headphones and I still could barely hear it. It wasn't the fact that I couldn't hear my movie but in general it just hurt my ears. I was sitting towards the back of the jet though so I'm assuming if I was closer to the front it wouldn't have been as bad? Overall it was still a great experience"

We received one drink and were allowed to pick from a basket of snacks (packaged pretzels and cookies), but that was it. No additional food, no entertainment options on our plane, no blanket, no pillows, no hot towels. We basically paid all that extra money for a little bigger seat. It was not worth it. This was our first time flying with United in a while and it will definitely be our last."

Frontier gate agent Sonia for the SLC flight was extremely rude. Lodged a complaint with the manager Rema who was not helpful either. Had to go through Security and rechecking in of baggage all over again, not to mention the time that we were robbed of."

Flight was delayed due to NO PILOT! Wtf!

This airline nickle and dimes you to the point it’s shameful, on top of that they changed my departing and returning flights with 1 days notice. Avoid them at all costs

They didn't take my mobile boarding pass for some reason, but that didn't delay things for too long luckily. The seats are totally fine, but it would be a lot better if you bring a travel pillow.

Left 1.5 hours late and where over wieght had to have 15 people get off flight to take off .

Paid for the seat package upgrade that also included a free carry-on bag. Then when I checked the reservation later there was no carry-on bag included. call customer service and they said I didn't get that package when I did select that package. So I had to pay 128.00 more to get a carry-on bag included when I had already paid for that with the seat package.

The flight was on time and they were pleasant! There was a tissue in the seat next to me that I do believe was left behind from the previous flight. Maybe make sure it’s cleaned a little better.

The children on the flight were extremely unruly, kicking seats and screaming and making multiple groups uncomfortable

I really appreciate spirit and their simple approach to flying. I usually travel light, so it’s great when I need a quick getaway. The staff is always down to earth (as opposed to other flight attendants who act superior.). Very excited to make this my first choice when flying.

Make the armrests flush with the seat so that when i lie down they don’t gouge my back. There were only 30 people on the flight so there was plenty of room to sleep but the armrests raised were very uncomfortable.

Even though the flight attendants knew that the NY flight had been cancelled, they did not notify any of the passengers. We were told that the first available flight out was three days from today. This is horrible customer service and we will not be flying with Spirit airlines in the future."

Pros: "Spirit is known as an ultra low cost carrier. I did not know this when I purchased the tickets, so the fares we paid were a little less than that of competitors. The pros end there."
Cons: "For the amount of harassment one goes through to fly with Spirit, the slightly lower fares are not worth it. Frankly, it seems like a ploy to hook people and subsequently squeeze three nickels out of every dime for anything else on the flight. The boarding process was delayed by over an hour. The attendant speaking from the gate was rude, hostile, and obnoxious. Those boarding were practically interrogated to make sure the water bottle they were holding might not be an extra personal item. (You have to pay $55 for a carry-on but are allowed one personal item on Spirit. If you are caught carrying extra onto the plane without paying, it's a $100 fine. One which they are on the prowl for!) Once on the flight, there is no entertainment. There is no complimentary anything. You can buy food or drink with credit cards only. The seats do not even have a tilt function to them, so you can only sit upright. My personal favorite part of the flight was watching the fight that ensued between female passengers deboarding and the attendants that did nothing about it. Something about the ultra low cost carrier makes people crazed to get off the plane. At the end of a flight, everyone wants off a plane, but I have never seen such disorganized chaos and blatantly rude disregard for the deboarding process as on this flight. Next time I travel, I'll spend the extra $100 to fly with another airline. Lesson learned."

They have worst costumer service ever and will not do anything to accommodate their costumers, all they can say is "sorry but there is nothing we can do." We ask for a supervisor after they change our flight on the way back as well from 12:05 am to 8:25 am and than again to 1:45 pm, supervisor said that "she is is truly sorry, but unfortunately there is nothing she can do" !!!??? I suggest that they send notification to their costumers in reasonable time before the flight departure about any travel changes, not once you are already at the airport."
