Great service from Alamo, Mexico in both Loreto collecting car and La Paz where I returned it. Rental was a large SUV (VW Touran) in good condition and comfortable for 4 adults and luggage. English speaking representatives. Very polite and helpful. Explained everything about the rental including insurance and charges fully. My only suggestion for improvement would be to do "Full to Full" on fuel rather than picking it up with 3/4 of a tank and trying to return with same. But that aside, I'd recommend and use them again.Reviewed Mar 27 2023

Quoted Rate extremely wrongCons:We arrived at the airport in Loreto Mexico. The rate was to be $4 per day. OK I know that we should have some insurance - but in reality we have a great deal our own insurance. But I plan to add some insurance when we get there. Insurance is not 10 or 20 dollars a day, no it is $50 per day. Not only that - but you MUST buy their insurance. Anyway we decided against, just as well the city is tiny, tiny and we walked most everywere and hired a driver for out of area trip, rented a car for 1 day to look around the different beaches. So I guess the high prices forced us to see things from a different perspective.Reviewed Dec 29 2017

Good dealPros:Convenient, right outside the arrival door at the airport. This was the first time renting and we did it because it was cheaper than the cost of the shuttle to Villa del Palmar at the Islands, where our timeshare is. The car fit the 5 of us and the luggage. Return was easy even though no one was there for the turn in....Cons:No one there to turn the car in when we left, just placed the keys in the box. I had to contact ALAMO customer service after i got back home to try to get a receipt from them for the final bill, which ended up being $30 more than expected, even with the mandatory third party liability. ALAMO customer service really helped and that was appreciated.Reviewed Apr 5 2017
