Pros:The person checking us in told us that it would be at least a two hour wait to get our car. He was willing to just cancel our reservation.
Cons:When we arrived the location was packed with people and it was an over 2 hour wait to get our car.
Pros:We managed to get a great deal on this car - far better than any other prices I saw on competitor car rental sites. I kind of expected something to go awry since it really seemed too good to be true, but it wasn't! Picking up the car was super swift and easy, the attendant in Miami Beach was friendly and helpful. The car was very nice and extremely clean, drove really well and I felt comfortable and safe. There were no hidden fees, no mileage caps, and all around quite a lovely, painless experience (who knew that existed with car rentals?!). Returning it was extremely easy as well (although the airport attendants need to be more vigilant about actually attending to customers), and we took a quick tram to the airport terminal. Great experience!
Cons:When we returned the car to MIA, the attendants were extremely busy schmoozing amongst themselves in the corner, while people returning their cars and waiting by their car (myself included) were confused and not sure what to do with ourselves. I had to walk over to interrupt the Alamo social hour to ask if we were supposed to simply leave the car, or if we needed them to assess it and provide us with the receipt (a question to which I of course knew the answer already).
Cons:The rental is open 8am - 5pm, but after 5pm cant return the car.
Cons:I received a conformation and show up to the rental with no cars available I lost 2 hours plus Uber rides because of that. I also paid for insurance that charged me so now I have to go through that process.
Pros:Pick-up guy in Miami was a pleasure to deal with - quick, efficient, friendly, knew exactly what he was doing and had me in and out in just a few minutes.
