excellent location, rooms very tidy and clean. staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Good modern hotel with all the expected facilities. In the centre of Alicante but not near the beach (no problem for us). Close to the old quarter of the city which is worth a visit. Hotel staff a bit abrupt - sometimes verging on rude.
comfort and brand new condition
The location was wonderful, the hotel staff was very friendly and the room was great, especially considering the discount.
Very friendly staff, fast checkin and check out. good central location no
position and still having smoking rooms! spa and gym unavailable
Clean white sheets, good location. Not a lot of information for around the area. some complimentary bathroom products would of been nice especially as only traveling with hand luggage and being a four star hotel. also hairdryer in room not working, very important for ladies.
The Hotel overall was nice. The breakfast was poor and not always fully supplied. I'd not like to be there when it was busy
Rooms very nice Corridor smelled stuffy
Location.. Breakfast saloon was not ok.
Located uptown, away from busy tourist aea.
Central location We'd just left a 3 star hotel which was brilliant, so this was a shock to see so many differences here. No air conditioning, no power points available (except for shaver in bathroom) to even recharge mobile phone, wall paper thin, beds uncomfortable with thick plastic covers, tiny tv that only worked sometimes, decor/furnishings dull, uninvited guests in our room (killed one in the bathroom), so we were promptly moved to another room. Some advice...3 star rated hotels in Spain can vary a great deal, so do your homework.
its location no
The bathroom full size My money of 1,000 Euros was stolen by the hotel employee with her duplicate ley right from the safe deposit box in my room at the first 2 days of my stay. The manager Christina did not apologized, the reception staff made fun of this, the receptionist lied while interpreting to the policemen in my room. Obviously she stole the money herself. I had to write an official statement at the police station. Very humiliating experience. Never offered a insurance for the stolen money, shame. I moved out to the 2 star hotel nextdoors.
There was no air conditioning and I could here the man next door snoring all night. Once tax was added, one night in a single bed (double room - but two single beds with table in between) cost 50 Euros. In my opinion not worth the money.
the stuff were helpful. it is right at the centre.
friendliness of staff lack of tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom
the location to city center but not noisey, and the hotel staff were very friendly. n/a
Very very nice and warm staff, Hotel Leuka would be my next choice in the future.
Good location and a rather good price. A rather basic hotel. Typical three star. You don't get anything extra, just the bed and a bathroom. Nothing is bad but nothing is better than average either. You get a reasonable good hotel with clean rooms at a low price. Personally I prefer 4 star and up. This was the only available hotel when our flight was cancelled and we had to stay another 3 nights.
The staff were helpful and the location central. There is a cafe as part of the hotel which also serves food. The bus stop for the airport is 50 yards or so from the hostal. Given the price, 25 euro, I can't have much to complain about and harboured no illusions of palm trees, pools and gyms. Soundproofing isn't the best so you do get to share the joys and traumas of neighbours arrivals/departures etc. If you are looking for scenic views and a bit of pampering I would advise going somewhat more upmarket.
Modest room in the city centre, 24h convenience stores nearby. The receptionist had us sign some lengthy data security agreement written in Spanish “for our own good”. He was yelling at us for two minutes, aggressively urging me to sign, while we were trying to read through the fine print first. Eventually, I signed with “I don’t speak Spanish,” which he apparently didn’t notice. He calmed down immediately and was quite friendly for the rest of our stay.
I was quite impressed with the accommodation. The room was spotless and fresh clean bedding and towels were provided and replaced daily. The reception area and the restaurant (which I used regularly) were light and airy and the hostel had a very positive overall feel. I feel it should be ranked a 3* hotel, rather than a hostel! It was excellent value for money - both the accommodation and the restaurant, and it's well located, with lots of small bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. Tip: catch the airport bus (€2.60) and get off at Plaza Luceros, which is a 5-min walk to hostel (head for Mercado Central) as the street the hostel is on is just behind it. Airport bus took 20mins and, on the way back, just 11mins! (during the morning rush hour!) It could get a little noisy at night and, although I hesitate to say it, the reception staff weren't the friendliest, although they warmed up a little - maybe that's because I stayed 4 nights and they got used to me!
The staff were incredibly friendly, the room cleaned every day despite the sand and mess we made from the beach, and every service the hotel had promised to provide was provided. At the end of our stay they even made place in the lobby for our many bags, so that we could continue exploring Alicante despite having to check out earlier. A great hotel for its price. Nobody spoke English there (but we had a native Spanish speaker with us) Cold water on the last 2 days (but they were renovating and it was very hot weather!!)
Excellent location, within walking distance to the RENFE station, to the beach/marina etc. Abundance of shops and cafes nearby. The cafeteria downstairs offers good food at reasonable prices. The room smells of smoke although it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. But it's a very common problem in Spain anyway, as many guests will simply open the window and smoke in the room, hence it's not the hotel's fault.
The location was perfect. The service was also fine. People try to do their best. It was very noisy in the night because there is a bar nearby and the local people are celebrating the whole night, all the nights :)
we have stayed at the goya hotel twice now ,and we have recommended it to our friends, which have used the hotel since then and they have the same opinions as us,to find somewhere to stay for value for money and the cleandliness etc of the hotel is excellent.
There is no wifi and a lot of noise during the night.
Good location, friendly staff, nice bar and restaurant
The location was the best... close to the bus stop for the airport and to the city centre That it costs 4 euros for an hour to use the internet which is only situated in the foyer of the hotel........ they should have wi-fi....keep up with other hotels that supply this
Very helpful staff, good breakfast. ~10 mins walk to the centre of town but very convienient for the tram (to beach). Quietish location.
24hours reception The receptionist tried to give as 2-bed room with a suplementary bed instead of 3-bed room which we had payed!!! We protested and got the "normal" 3-bed room... but what do you think of such a behaviour?
The hotel staff was very polite and helpfull. Jesus, Jesus J and Juan: thank you ! Extremely noisy hotel, but ear plugs can fix this problem during the night.
the good english speaking reception girl from norway little noiusey
nothing size and condition of the bathroom ceiling fan loose and in very bad condition, door to balcony in a very bad state
everything ,the food, the staff, cleandliness of the hotel.we have stayed at the goya hotel four times now and will be staying again .
