Overview
The Alta Peruvian Lodge sits high up in Utah’s famed Alta Ski Area, making it an ideal choice for the individual, couple, family, or group eager to enjoy some world-class skiing in a comfortable and resort-like setting. With stunning views and free shuttle services to the Alta Ski Area, it is a good choice, but even for the non-skier there is plenty to see and do.
The historic hotel was once a military barracks that was broken apart, carried up the mountain, and reassembled as the earliest ski lodge. Since that time, it has become a local landmark noted for its authentic skiing lodge atmosphere, its excellent restaurants and its remarkable après ski amenities. The property features all-inclusive dining, a business center, ski rental shop, self-service laundry facilities, 24-hour coffee, tea, and cocoa services, movie nights on the lodge’s 79” screen, a game room, a heated pool, sauna, hot tubs, and the friendly lobby with fireplace, games, free drinks, and more.
The rooms are a good match to the rest of the facilities and you can book an Alpine room with two beds and private bath, a Chalet room with a queen or two twin beds and private bath, a Nordic room with two twin beds and a sink (bath is shared), a Superior Double Queen with two beds and private bath, or one of the One or Two Bedroom Suites with their living rooms, fireplaces, views, and more. There are also male and female dorms for the budget-conscious.
Historic and comfortable with a long list of amenities and services, not to mention its location close to the slopes, makes the Alta Peruvian Lodge a good choice.
