The staff were super friendly and approachable. It was conveniently located to a lot of the sites and historic spots of Newburyport and Amesbury. Was a short drive to most things. Only had an outdoor pool. But overall cannot complain. Was a great value and a nice stay.
The location of the hotel was great. Close to many restaurants and shops. The room we were in was less than desirable. The ceiling had black/grey spots above our bed, I'm hoping it's not mold! The beds were old and saggy. Our "view" on the first floor was of an old delapitated fence with what looks like a run down house next door that can see right into the room. The bathroom needs updating, there was someone's hair stuck to the ceiling of the shower and the worse part was that the heater that you had to turn on ran and sounded like an old window unit a/c. It would be die on fan but when it kicked on to heat it would be so loud you couldn't sleep. Worst couple nights sleep ever! And the "heated" pool is freezing cold!!!
Didn't get NON-smoking room as requested. Smelly!!!! Door to room could barely open/ close over carpet and would NOT even open wide. In an emergency we couldn't get out fast at all!!! Bathroom could have been cleaner. Breakfast was just OK.
Our non smooking room was very humid and smelly. Pool area was sauna style. I do not recommend this hotel
The wood ceilings Everything front desk manager sucked
The hotel was in a pretty good location for dining and going to the each which was great. The staff was very friendly and courteous, made us feel very comfortable. And the mini fridge in the room was huge! The hotel seemed just kind of sad? The ceiling of our room was wooden planks which was pretty cool, however the bed was extremely hard, the bathroom was tiny and the bath tub wasn't too clean. The hotels "heated" pool was ice cold the entire stay, no towels on the rack for guests to use, the door to the pool was not locked. The pool was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel as the weather during our stay was very cloudy and a bit rainy. Kyak.com said the hotel had a hot tub, it did not. No shower curtain. The breakfast was not even warm, room temp at best. I just stuck with the muffins because of that.
Best breakfast, very nice staff and it was quiet It was next to a funeral home
Room was clean, housekeeping was great, balcony over live music was a great experience. First, no one helps you with your luggage to and from room and being disabled it makes it very difficult. Others complained as well. They say free parking when you book however we got charges $54!!! Unreal! You choose hotel close to beach, you would think for what you are paying for room, parking would be included. Choices for meals at outside restaurant were slim. Our grandson (3 yrs old) only had two choices none of which he liked! Waitress was nice though. No smoking on balcony so should be explained when booking. Balcony outside is perfectly safe for smoking instead of walking a mile to smoke when you are disabled!
Location, rooftop bar, staff. Strange odors, dirty shower curtain and shower head. Indoor pool area.
It was off season so it was quiet. Staff were courteous and friendly. Love that they were pet friendly(but only in the off season) room was small but clean and had a nice balcony with ocean views Nothing was open in the town during the off season ... We were in the area for the newburyport half marathon so our first night we ate at the hotel restauraunt Breakers which was good but also pretty much our only option in Hampton. The other night we ate and engaged in activities in Newburyport MA
Nothing Dirty, they misrepresented their hotel, no premuim bedding.( sheets don't even fit the beds.) No covers under sheets, or pillow cases. Beds were terrible. Room darking shades are dark red curtains, with something white all over them, we didn't want to guess. Our room had a door knob, not a very good one either, no dead bolt, just a chain. It was a very unpleasant experience.
Convenient to all shopping/dining needs. Hampton Beach is a short drive, which is nice not having to deal with the beach's congestion every time you go out. The bed was like sleeping on just a box spring. We had a room with a sleeper sofa. As a sofa, you couldn't even sit on it, you would sink right down to bars of the sleeper. Extremely uncomfortable. They really need to invest in new beds. We had ants in our room. The chairs in the breakfast area were disgusting and one of the tables had the same syrup or whatever spilled, on the table for days.
Big room Nice bedding and pillows Clean Microwave and fridge in room Free coffee all day Good breakfast Everyone was very nice Right off 95 GREAT PRICE!! Nothing, this hotel exceeded my expectations
Got the suite and it was big and spacious clean in the room. Good breakfast room. Nice pool area. New staff help at night did not know how to work the TV, took second day late at night to get help for the TV to work. We were there for only two nights. The outside needed paint and inside needed new carpet.
Our bathroom toilet did not work properly as well as the sink drainage.
Excellent location. 10 minutes from the beach. Right next to loads of dining and shopping Terrible condition, disgusting stained carpets and linens, facilities and building is extremely aged
The whole place is right off a highway exit, down a dark road. When you first enter, the I hate my life staff stares us down until we greeted him. Less than enthusiastic check in and when we asked where we should park, he simply said, parking is first come first serve so wherever. We bought our luggage into the room, which was old and smelly. I want to note that I'm no diva and am usually satisfied with a standard hotel room, no frills needed. This was terrible. Carpets were stained, It smelled musky and dirty. I couldn't even bring myself to take a shower in that bathroom. There was a overwhelming stench of mildew. The comforter had stains on it. I mean, it looked like a urine stain and another spot looked like blood. It was a nightmare, if I felt like it would be safe to sleep in my car I would've. We paid over $100 for one night, I'm not sure what you can get in that area for that price range, but if I knew 3 stars was like this I would not have hesitated to spend more.

Location, room layout, cost I find it offensive that this hotel allowed pets (a golden retriever) into the breakfast area. As far as I could tell, this was a pet and not a service dog. I consider this to be an unhygienic practice. Staff should have mentioned it to the guest.
Clean, comfortable with friendly staff. Although the room looked clean, it had a musty smell when we first arrived, after the air was on for a bit it went away. Also the walls are thin, we were there during school vacation week and we could hear the teens running and yelling half the night.
From the time we arrived the hotel had a clean and comfortable feel to it. The staff was very friendly, helping us to find wonderful places to eat and visit. The room was clean and well cared for. The breakfast at the hotel was a great time saver with a little something for about every taste. The location of the hotel was perfect, a major freeway nearby but still quiet and peaceful outside. The hotel was centrally located to many wonderful sites.
It was nice and clean every thing was perfect . I do not like to go to hotel because of so many things they say and talk how the place are so nasty and filthy I did not want to go hotel but this was perfect. The only thing I did not like was there was a baby in the next door and he or she cry and cry and also making so much bunging it was distebing but so fair every thing was okey.

Liked the suite we stayed. Very large and clean! Liked the pool and hot tub. Service was great. Would have liked a better selection for breakfast and better stash of towels in the pool room. Nobody offered to come in and make our beds and leave fresh towels.
We stayed 4 days in this hotel and found it excellent in every way. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous, the breakfast outstanding, the rooms clean and comfortable. A long overdue addition to Exeter. We will return.
Room Layout, size, cleanliness and hotel location. No Bar
I liked the attitude of the staff, as they were extremely nice and willing to help.
Great breakfast spread no
La Quinta was a very reasonable place to stay, without compromising quality for the value.
Excellent hotel, clean, nicely decorated and free continental breakfast. Unlimited coffee all day.
We stayed at this hotel for two days prior to going to Cape Cod, in order to visit with family in the area. We were pleasantly greeted with freshly baked cookies and a very friendly and helpful staff! The first room we were assigned had a problem with the toilet. We were moved immediately into another room. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfy and the thermostat allowed us to control our environment to our liking! The breakfast was yummy and a great start for our busy day! The restaurants aren't too far and there are many to choose from. There is a wonderful little Mediteranean restaurant off of 111 and Zachary road, called Flaming Kabob, which was worth going back several times. La Quinta, Thanks for a great stay!
I am very satisfied with my two day stay. When I first arrived I was given a room that seemed to have a heating problem. I was immediately moved across the hall to another room that ended up being an upgrade. Absolutely no bad attitudes with the staff and the continental breakfast was generous.
Pool to far away from main building. No ice machine on each floor..........
This hotel is spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and healthy; fresh waffles, yogurt, healthy cereal choices and hard boiled eggs! I came here to be close to my son who was in the hospital in Newton. Since I flew into Manchester I took a online travel website package that included this hotel and planned to change hotels after the first night. However, I loved this hotel so much that I stayed for the entire time. Driving the 45 minutes to the hospital each day was no problem when I knew I'd be coming g back to this ''home''
When choosing a hotel, the expectations tend to drift downward with the price. The things I expect to sacrifice first are cleanliness, comfort and service. Not here. Mostly I just want a clean comfortable place to get a good night's rest. La Quinta delivered beautifully. I even found the bed to be exceptionally comfortable, comparable with rooms I've taken in much more expensive establishments. The breakfast was decent -- although I don't recommend the waffles. If you just want a quick no-frills bite to get running on it should do very well with cereal, milk, juice, toast, boiled eggs, coffee, etc. I expect to stay there again a few months from now. Good deal.
staff was nice but....hotel is in kind of an industrial/ office area, no atmosphere. Virtually no English speakers there. There was shady activity in the back parking lot that woke me up at 1am. I stayed by myself. I would not bring my family here. Breakfast bar closed too early
Good price and clean. Safe neighborhood. Quiet with no outside traffic noise. Quite adequate for an overnight stop.
This must have been the best hotel I've ever been to, and I've been to alot of hotels. Rooms were beautiful and service couldn't have been better. Excellent hotel, I would recommend and definetly stay there again
I enjoyed the stay, nice people and great service. Breakfast buffet was GREAT and room clean.
I just stayed one night, basically using it just as a place to sleep. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the extra pillows. I didn't get to test the internet though. The day I was there must been a busy time, as it was near impossible to get into the small breakfest area to get something to eat. Im sure the included breakfest would have been ok if there isn't a mob of people there. I basically grabbed a muffin and made a run for the door.
Free breakfast, quiet and clean
the whole staff was wonderful helpful. breakfeast great all around great motel.motel in the middle of everything easy acsess to all points of intrest for us. thanks Best Western see you soon Bob
The stores are really close to the hotel.
The motel is conveniently located and easy to find, just off an interstate exit and within walking distance of a large and well-stocked supermarket, and a few restaurants. The front desk staff was professional and the room was clean, and showed evidence of some upgrades (the building is an older one), such as the beds & a flat screen TV. Breakfast was decent, the food only average but there was plenty of it. The room had free coffee, a couple bottled waters and a good cable lineup, in addition to the usual amenities. We would stay there again. Our first room was non-smoking room but reeked of cigarette smoke, although otherwise clean. We requested and immediately received a different room, which was fine. The front desk was staffed by only one person, so although our check-in time wasn't bad, it would've been much improved by even a second person on duty, since there were others checking in. Possibly due to being alone at the desk, although professional & polite I wouldn't characterize the employee as friendly. She was helpful in finding a restaurant for dinner, though, which turned out to be excellent.
Originally we were given I guess what was called a "standard" room with no refrigerator, micro, etc. Since our stay was for 3 days, they were able to upgrade to a better room which allowed us to stay there instead of moving on. Not luxurious but it worked and the price was ok. There was only 1 chair in the room. We did ask for another chair and was given a folding chair which wasn't perfect, but better than sitting on the bed.
Location Too pricey for what you get
The Facility and Staff were great. The place is very quiet and friendly. The only draw back I could see is no mini fridge or microwave in the room we were in. Had to go to the office.
Clean rooms and common areas Restaurant on site Continental breakfast Parking Very uncomfortable mattress Outdated decor They have actual keys with a wooden key chain for your room, which are a pain to carry and the locking mechanisms are tricky to operate
Restaurant outstanding despite fairly low prices. The hotel is beautiful, warm and cosy. Would go back anytime and recommend to my friends.
Seafood in the attached restaurant
I loved my stay and that is where I will stay on all my trips to Hampton. I have no complaints.
quaint, quiet attractive inn. Very restful and liked that it had a nice restaurant attached.
Treated like old friends from the moment we stepped through the door! Bob, the front desk clerk, was AMAZING! So friendly and helpful! The room was small, but beautifully appointed. Even though we went to the restaurant a bit earlier than our reservation time, they never batted an eye! Seated us promptly and the wait staff was terrific! This place is now definitely in our top 5 all time favorites! (The other 4 are out of the country!!) What's not to like, seriously?!?!
This was a lovely country inn! The canopy bed was beautiful as was the whole atmosphere of this inn. The grounds as well as all the hallways and lobby were clean and comfortable. Complimentary lemon ice water, coffee, fresh fruit and newspapers were available at all times as an added touch. The complimentary breakfast by the fireplace each morning added to the entire experience. And the restaurant attached was exceptional as well as quite reasonable.
The staff is very helpfull and friendly. The room was very nice and pleasant.
Location was great and Hotel room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good with great range of fresh fruit and pastries. Bathroom could of been a little bigger
Average hotel of this type. Room comfortable. Facilities OK. In-house restaurant food was good in evening Avoid the breakfast
The quaintness of the inn and the food at Old Salt's restaurnat made for an enjoyable stay.
I loved the Colonial Style Wish the bathrooms were a little bigger.
This is an excellent Hotel. The people are friendly and the upgrade was very much appreciated None
It was different from the "chain" hotels and had a "friendly" atmosphere. I like the elements of the hotel that remained prior to renovation but also the up to date parts as well such as wireless and pleasant rooms. There was nothing that I did not like about the hotel. I hope to stay again.
We were given the Parlor Room (103) which was perfect since we both had work to do on our trip. That they did not offer local draft beer in the Epoc bar.
location. Excellent bathroom fixtures. dusty smellty wall to wall carpeting.
Nice building, big room with very nice furniture, lot of light in the room Restaurant maybe too expensive, few options to have dinner in the bar
Quiet location yet close to town. Rooms were very large and clean. Big bathroom that had been updated. The breakfast was a little insufficient. Coffee, donuts, and juice were advertised but by the time we got there only 2 donuts remained. They were prepackaged and not fresh which is what I was expecting. The lobby is very small so it was difficult to get to the juice and donuts which were behind the entry door.
Location. We wanted to get out of the Boston area. Price was appropriate. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Terrible night's sleep.
Lovation is nice because it was far enough, but close enough to freeway. Nicely sized room. 2 sinks were nice. The grounds & the room smelled of smoke despite it being a non-smoking room. When I opened the door, I was overcome by the smell of chemical cleaners. I had to open the window to air out & it was cold outside.
Hotel refused to refund me after having to switch hotels. Took third party booking company a week to win me the refund.

The proximity, and my kids like the heated pool. The room need some renovation, we found 2 hairs in the shower, no breakfast and the staff was not interrested.
Swimming pool and hot tub. No.
Pool Dirty sheets, dated furniture, old carpet, musty smell, would not recommend at all. No continental breakfast, real cheapness to the whole place. TV wouldn't work when turned on with remote.
Location, pool, casual. For the weekend rate maybe a little breakfast bar and real milk for coffee, just a suggestion!
Location I reserved two queens but they tried to coerce me into a one queen room. When I objected, the clerk said, 'you only have two people!' I told them we also had a child and the clerks reply was ok, two people and a junior, you can still get by.Didn't happen
Location met my needs Decor seemed a bit 'tired'. Toilet was on a strange angle- tilted.

The hotel was good overall. The pool was very nice. The rooms were satisfactory. The amenities were good-hairdryer, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, iron & ironing board. Would have liked a coffee pot in our room but they did provide good coffee in the lobby. We had trouble getting towels for the pool and were told to take our shower towels and they would drop them off at the room which never happened. We had to go get towels in the morning to shower.
clean room fast check in after arriving late Overall cigarette smell lingered in the halls but not too bad
Pool and hot tub no breakfast
Great location for my needs. Been here before. Once again, great. N/A
Staff was very friendly the room was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Pool was clean and refreshing also the breakfast was all we needed and good.
My daughter and I stayed there because it was close to Hampton Beach and a concert we attended nearby. The hotel was located conveniently to the highway, the room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. We slept like babies. The complimentary breakfast was well thought out and very filling. We left with a smile on our face and would definitely stay again. The view outside our window was of numerous parked trailers which wasn't very interesting or appealing. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.
