Great retro hotel with friendly staff and perfect location just outside Disneyland. Only thing that was less than perfect was the amount of light that came in through the high windows early in the morning, but overall it was an excellent stay. Highly recommend.
Location to disney is top notch, pool is small, reservation system for hot tub area is annoying the rooms are just ok.
Pros. Spacious room, courteous staff, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: ~10 minute walk from Disneyland, having a pool was a must and having a water park for young kids was a plus.
Cons. Restaurant on premises or breakfast service would have been nice, the water park seemed small based on expectations: okay for younger kids but older kids would get bored easily and prefer the standard pool.
Pros. Our room rumbled all night because it was right next to freeway 5 and a major onramp also. One mattress in the room was completely sunken on one side - very uncomfortable... if you do stay here bring earplugs !

Cons. We did not like that on the second night of our stay how the bath tub started to back up when we returned from the park. The smell was atrocious. When we called the front desk, they informed us that nothing could be done until 7:30 the next morning. No shower after a full day at Disney. When we woke up the next morning, the bath tub was still backing up. Again no shower. When I told the front desk the next morning at check out, they asked if I had been offered to be moved, we were never offered. Are parking which expired at 3 the day of checkout was comped after that but not much more. We have stayed her 2 other times in the past year and half but never experienced anything like this. Just upset that more wasn't done to fix a stinky backed up bath tub when it was reported.
Pros. This hotel was 10 minute walk to the gate. It was nice and easy even at night. The staff was nice and very efficient. The Castaway Lagoon was a fun was to spend the morning or afternoon. My 5 yr old twins had a blast.
Cons. WiFi was horrible. Walls were thin. The people above us were so loud my kids had a hard time sleeping the last night. Cleaning crew left cart in hall starting at 8 in the morning was still there 1 pm and did not seem to have been moved nor was there anyone in any of the rooms cleaning
Pros. Great location close to Disneyland - easy walk to the park. Had a room that looked across Harbor Blvd toward Disneyland. Had an AWESOME view of the fireworks. Staff was friendly, pool was clean, just wished there was a hot tub in the Garden pool, not just Castaway Cove, too many kids in it to be relaxing for an adult, pool hours just right. AC in the room. Wished frig was larger, really only had room for a meal/day in it for 3 people, couldn't imagine if we had more people - a bigger frig would really have been nice. Despite the things I'd change, it was still the BEST VACATION EVER!
Cons. Our bathroom sink was quite sloped, things would roll off it. Wish the frig was larger and that there was a hot tub in the Garden Pool.
Cons. The rooms are exhausted and are in bad need of refurbishment. We stayed here 5 years ago and it was in better shape then. Housekeeping staff were nice, but the front desk staff were a bit rude and chatted among themselves rather than being attentive to guests.
