Issue with homeless people outside and noise in parking lot late at night
If you're into a pleasant, no frills accommodation in Anchorage without breaking the bank, this is it. The full size fridge/freezer and mini kitchen is extremely handy for a multi day stay. Compared to the pictures online, the hotel exceeded expectations.
There really wasn't anything, as long as you're used to steady prop-plane noise, since the airport is next door.
Fine for an overnight.
The price is slightly cheaper than other hotels.
This hotel is decidedly No Frills. It is far from the airport in downtown so you need a car. However it is a good place if you have a car and are staying overnight in Anchorage. The heavy security is a little weird.
A strange hotel, but good enough for an overnight
The price is cheaper than the other hotels of a similar nature. (There are cheaper hotels in Anchorage, but I avoid them.)
When you walk in, it is like walking into a secured facility. After a certain hour, the door is locked and you are greeted by a security guard. There is an attendant watching a huge bank of secrecy cameras. The room is small (but it has a stove, which I guess makes it a suite). It lacked a iron and an ironing board, which I always find important.
