Great location mid board walk. Loved the art gallery.
Coffee machine didn't work. House keeping was often late in the day and pretzels from the last guest never made it into the vacuum. Parking charge is excessive but known up front. The resort charge is not presented upon arrival and a negative surprise at the end of the stay. The bathroom was functional but not in-line with the room remodel (missing faucet buttons, loose shower head).
Whatever the hotel is missing, walk across the connecting bridge and get it at Ballys. I loved the pool and deco throughout.
I felt as though there was not enough lighting in the room. I wasn't satisfied with the lack of bedding but after adjusting the thermostat it didn't matter.
I liked house spacious the room was and how huge the jacuzzi tub was, close to Boardwalk. Front desk and valet very nice.
The furniture didn't match it made it look a little outdated. It took almost ten minutes for the elevator to get to us to get to main lobby, there must be a glitch because we had to press the up arrow button to get an elevator, there's more to it but it's just annoying. The price I paid must've been for the convenience of being close to the boardwalk (about a block if that away). They need to serve a complimentary breakfast for the price I paid lol
Only thing like connected to Casino
Rooms were small , dark ,uncomfortable beds, no coffee maker. Staff was not friendly
Through the four days and three nights we stayed we kept running into the same receptionist at the hotel! That gentleman deserves a raise for the excellent service he provides, and I sweat it seems like he is constantly working from late at night till early in the morning. As an A.C. local he was very knowledgeable about eateries late at night, events in the city, and made every effort to accommodate our stay.
Our first room was in unrenovated area and smelled of lingering cigarette smoke - it was gross and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There was some kind of waterbug running around the floor. As soon as we went down to reception the gentleman there immediately addressed our needs and gave us a great room on a different floor that had been completely renovated.
Location perfect. Clean; bed comfortable; quiet; parking in hotel. Staff pleasant. Did not use wifi or spa but they looked clean and no odor.
No hot water. Stayed only one night so this was not a serious problem. We live only 1 hr. away so had showered at home before arrival and heading home next day, so not too serious. BUT, if staying longer or if had been on beach, would be very uncomfortable. Can't open windows on beach view. No restaurant in hotel.
Very Mature hotel
Put offs: chipped paint, water stains, drapes not very clean(something looked like baby puke on them)
Lobby and common areas had a cool 1930s vintage vibe. Staff was nice, and the location can't be beat. Connected to ballys casino, and very close to Caesars.
Renovated and unrenovated rooms were the SAME price, but since I prepaid online through kayak there was no way to select between the two. I ended up in an old beat up room with a tube tv from the 80s that was fuzzy and had 4 channels. It mad me mad that that's what I received when I paid the same amount as someone with a newly renovated room. The hotel also wouldn't let me change rooms because I booked online through a discount site. So basically, if you want an updated room you have to book directly through the hotel and not through expedia/hotels.com
Absolutely disgusting! Had to change rooms 3 times. Mold on bathroom tiles (I even took a photo). Beat up mattress. No duvet on bed. Stained carpet, walls and ceiling. A place that made you feel that it was rented by the hour. On the other fans, the lobby has an old school charm and is midkeading.
Clean, roomy, modern, and comfortable rooms. Good value and location for the price.
Small bathroom. Tubs drained very slow. Lobby smelled like cat urine and stale smoke.
We liked the fact that it is so close to the Ocean/boardwalk. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Great Wifi.
We were there for two nights and our room was not serviced. We also went to the pool and it was smelly and not clean...would not do that again.
