Very boutique, very pretty. Focus on music, with turntables in the room and great selection of old LPs to borrow from reception (if you like eclectic rock/pop).
Access to main street (South Congress) cut off by construction for a while. Construction starts at 7am with some backing-up truck noises, but not otherwise noticeable. Quite expensive for what it is.
Amazing vibe. Romantic yet cool.
Charming, beautiful, boutique hotel in a great location. Will definitely stay there anytime in Austin.
I liked the ambiance of the hotel. Very eclectic and cool.
I didn’t like having no guidance and no help with my life from the parking lot, up stairs to the lobby while an employee watched me. I didn’t like that the pool area was dirty and messy most of the time. My rooms furniture felt like it would break if I sat on the chairs in the dining area, and the shower drained slowly. Also there were obvious patches in the ceiling due to repairs. No extra amenities are offered like gym, spa, or even a light breakfast. It’s way overpriced for getting pretty much nothing.
We stayed here the night I proposed to my fiance and everything about the experience of the stay was amazing. Beautiful property, great pool, and amazing studio room. They even have record players in the rooms with a great collection of vintage vinyls in the lobby to check out for listening.
A bit pricey, but well worth it.
Hotel Saint Cecilia is an eclectic boutique hotel with five distinctly decorated rooms, a set of studios, and some poolside bungalows for those who have to be near the water. Hotel Saint Cecilia is named after the patron saint of music and poetry, and that aesthetic is reflected in the rooms, each one which is painted with vibrant colors and appointed with interesting furniture.
The Suites are known simply by numbers, 1-5, and each one is decorated in a distinctly unique style. All the beds in Hotel Saint Cecilia are made by Hästens, one of Sweden's best bedding companies. In the bathroom, all of the soaps and lotions come from Grown Alchemist. The suites have a little more space than the rooms, with a separate living space with couches and coffee table that is perfect for reading or putting your feet up.
Where Hotel Saint Cecilia really brings its personality in is with the amenities. One of the first places most guests visit is the lending library, where there is a whole range of fiction and nonfiction books that make excellent poolside reading. Because Hotel Saint Cecilia is inspired by the iconic period of 50's and 60's rock, visitors will find an emphasis on musician biographies and other stories from that time. There are even a few vintage LPs guests can take a listen to if they prefer. Each room also comes with two separate minibars. The first is a spa minibar with lotions and creams to improve skin hydration and complexion, while the other is a food and beverage minibar stocked with snacks and craft liquors.
