Pros:Car was new and clean. Staff was friendly.
Cons:It took over an hour of waiting to pick up the car. The car was very small and was a "new" type that hand to be put in neutral and use the hand brake in order to park. When I returned the car there were few signs for Avis. We eventually saw a big red Avis sign that directed us to a dead end where we parked. I called the Avis location but no one answered. After waiting on the phone for 20 minutes I walked to the Avis desk in the airport where they informed me that the sign I saw was an old one and I was parked in the wrong place. On top of that I was informed that they would charge me extra because their old sign directed me to enter a parking lot which would be charged to me. Totally ridicules.

Cons:we booked a car for 48 USD which then cost us eventually more than 300 USD incl. insurance and GPS. Kayak respectively AVIS need to make their offer more clear. AVIS did not tell us about the additional drop off airport fee if we had not asked before. pricing was not clear at all. we got a badly maintained delivery vehicle instead of a booked small Hyundai Jazz or similar. inside the car was dirty and not cleaned, the windows were so dirty, we had to clean it oursleves just after we started. also the water for the windscreen wipers was empty.

Cons:There are always hidden fees. Even if at booking it tells you it's $30, you probably didn't read the small print where it says it's another $40 to leave it at the airport. And even if you're not Israeli and show your Mexican passport, they charged a 17% fee because you didn't have a correct way of showing you were not a citizen. And the car smelled funny.

Cons:The car color was black, which in a country with a harsh sun and temperatures in the 80's - 100'S, is a singularly uncomfortable choice of colors. When I used the A/C to circulate the interior air of the car, there was a smell of gasoline. The price I was quoted was less than half of what I got charged, and I received no receipt showing the difference.
Cons:they wanted $ 20.00 per day basic mandatory insurance do they believe that no body knows what is going on or they went fishing Hertz was 50% cheaper than Avis and I mean 50%
