Proximity to town was great. Loved how nice the units were. Very well kept. New feel, wasn't a "run down lodge". Room was on Main Street. Was pretty noisy with cars until 10pm and car traffic again around 7am. Adjoining room was just as well left open. I could hear every little thing the neighbors were doing. Wifi connection sucked. Had a difficult time connecting to Apple devices. Never was able to connect to PC
Not enough parking
Cheapest beds in Aspen. Friendly staff. Nice hot tub outside that remarkably was heavily used this past weekend despite the huge dump and freezing temps. No valet, no covered parking.... To be expected. No air conditioning and lack of elevators. Our booking was last minute admittedly and my buddy and I wanted to be placed in the same room but management couldn't accommodate. If you are traveling with someone call early and demand the same room it's not automatic. They do have a complimentary breakfast although we didn't indulge.
I made my reservation online and I thought was a hotel because the website NEVER said anything about the price is just for one person and we have to share the bathroom This place sucks! I have to pay double!
Very charming. Wonderful history. Staff very nice and breakfast exceeded all expectations. Room felt like old ski lodge which was quaint but a little stuffy. Construction on both sides of hotel (not their fault, obviously). Room did not have A/C.
The amenities were far beyond what I expected for such a price. The hotel had great character and is in an excellent location.
everyone was very friendly, and open to all questions! they also provided us with umbrellas and bikes to take around town! awesome amenities!
Cool place to stay, has a very local feel. Parking is definetly an issue, the stalls in the garage level are extremely small.
Great location - good breakfast- Coffee and cookies in the afternoon Nothing
The location is a short walking distance for most of Aspen's attractions, in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The lodge is quaint and historical. The accommodations are comfortable and homey. Our king size bed was very comfortable. Sitting around the kitchen table in the morning was a great way to sta starty the day. The price of the lodging was a bargain...especially for Aspen. There was nothing that we didn't like about our visit. We were not disappointed about our choice of the Snow Queen as a place for an Aspen get-away..
I would come again. Maybe a better breakfast selection.
The staff was very friendly. They had wine and cheese at 4 pm every day. Our room was pretty clean and the location was excellent. A quick bus ride to Ajax and a ten min drive to the airport. We were on the lower floor and there was consistently heavy footsteps/noise from the room Above us. Walls are thin in this hotel. There was no room service (food menus) and no restaurants walking distance. Getting a cab was difficult and there are no ubers in aspen. Although we were there during New Years so didn't help. 400 a night, but then again it's aspen and a five star hotel is 1500 a night so go figure.
To our surprise there was a kitchenette with two burners and basic necessities for cooking for two. This would be a great place to stay in the winter and can sleep up to five people when the small twin bed is included. We can't wait to return. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
Plastic flowers, sponge painted walls, incredible levitating brick fireplace with glowing plastic logs and real fire sounds. ..well, more like first fire sound. Everything that matters is updated, very clean, great location, cheap! Loved our stay there and will return. Did not see an air conditioner, but did not need it in September.
Great staff, great location, great place
Great facility. Was well pleased with my room and the service of all staff that I came in contact with. Breakfast was hot and delicious. My name is still spelled wrong; it is Bette, not Bettre
The location and the amenities at the hotel were excellent. The bath room: there was a crack in the bath tub leading to a leak and the toilet paper dispenser was in an uncomfortable position, causing one to his the left elbow when sitting.
Warm room. Bang for the buck.
We were very happy for the timing of our visit so that we could get great value for money. We extended our stay for a further 2 nights.
Staff was nice There was nothing to like. Old, hot, broken down hotel. Elevator broken the entire time. Outside door exposed cable and electrical wires. Bed had decent sheets but terrible mattress and pillows. Ants in room and big mosquito like bugs. Parking is in public lot not near hotel!!! Back door to lawn area sticks and broken. On and on and on. Terrible value.
Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast and all for a very competitive price.
breakfast was great.
Quiet, relaxing, easily accessible. Great customer service. No complaints!
son rising from my window that because of jet lag I never missed.I should come in winter once.
Location was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms and hotel were warm. No AC other than window fans that were extremely noisy. Hot tub was broken which was disappointing.
We loved the food and the ski in ski out convenience. It was the perfect location, close to shops and restaurants and we really loved the hot lunch at the chalet. No everything was wonderful.
Ski in/out, complimentary breakfast and lunch were fantastic, pool/hot tub on the slopes basically, super staff, incredibly close to the mall/shops/restaurants Kind of noisy in our room (heard snow plows all night long), requested a king bed and were given 2 queens instead, very little storage/closet space, no fan in the small bathroom
Quite and located near the Music Festival N/A
I liked the convenience of having most of the restaurants and some shopping at walking distance from my room. The wireless internet connection was very poor.
Staff was friendly and did their best to be helpful. The location is excellent, and the shared pool facility could be quite nice. Where to start? The wifi did not work for most of my stay - after discussing with the staff, they indicated that this has been going on for some time, and they attempted to help, but it did not change anything. The beds are horribly uncomfortable, the shower is old and falling apart (and had mold in the ceiling!), and there is a huge need for adult only time at the pool. At 9:30 at night, there were 5 children running around the pool deck, screaming and jumping/splashing into the pool (which shares a wall with the hot tub area). This location would benefit greatly from even a low cost overhaul - new beds, refinished bathrooms, and an electronic key system (they currently use a physical key still) would be a big improvement.
No frills great accommodations for the price and location. People need to relax. Life is too short to require up tightly fancy things. A clean room, bed, shower, is all you need. Get outside of your hotel room.
Location for money is amazing. Definitely stay here if youre on a budget. Wifi didnt work for most of my stay.
