Pros: Sonya was a wonderful host. She welcomed us warmly and gave us heaps of info on Bern. The property is authentic and lovely. Breakfast was great and we felt very at home. I was concerned that this property was a bit far away but it’s wasn’t and the tram straight into the city was every 10 mins so everything within easy reach.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Stunning house in a calm and green historical Bern district - unbelievably cozy, beautiful in all the small details, hospitable and homey. In spite of the age it is fully renovated and makes the stay absolutely comfortable together with the feeling of traveling through the time! Huge light room with the garden view, parquet floor, antique furniture, roomy bathroom with all that is needed and birds singing outside :) Sonja, the hostess, is just wonderful - friendly, attentive and always lovely to chat about anything or assist. Tasty breakfast with the variety of homelike specialties is served in such a nice so you can feel like home. Free city transport card and 3 minutes to the tram/bus station, easy :) I am definitely in love!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was stylish and clean. Perfect place was a couple to get away from the city and be in a local neighborhood
10.0 Excellent
Pros: ‘We enjoy everything in the hotel. Very modern 2 stairs house with a beautiful terrace. Next to the bus station and the nice host offers us free transport pass to city. Located in a very quiet yet convenient town with almost no tourists, where you can enjoy the local way of living. We love everything here and will definitely come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 3 nights and it was lovely! The hosts (a couple) are very friendly and provided useful tips for our stay, where to go, what to see and what to avoid. We arrived at 10 PM but we communicated very good and the hosts were waiting for us. We even had a couple of beers and water upon arrival. The house has everything you need: coffe machine + cups of coffe, fully equiped kitchen, a large bedroom and a very large and nice terrace. We had the breakfast al 3 days on the terrace! There is the public bus station 100m away (bus 12) that leads exactly in city center, so no need fo the car. If you arrive by car, you can park it o the private street and there is an extra fee, as mentioned on booking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet area with a wonderful restaurant just in front of the casita !! Casitas’s owners were very friendly and flexible, and the area was just great !! Will definitely recommend this wonderful spot
Cons: Nothing we can write here, stay was just perfect. You will just need to take public transportations to the city center, but that’s fine (free passes offered by the owners).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, easy access to old town centre on bus#12 with excellent frequency. Cleanliness. Outdoor deck to relax. Friendly owner/hosts who live next door.
Cons: Hard bed. Could do with additional pillows. Towels very old and need replacing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. The owner was really nice. He quickly popped by in the evening just to say hello. The room is clean, everything is new and nicely decorated. Nordic style, keep it simple. The place has two terraces, a small covered one and a large one for warmer days/ evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped too. All in all 10 out of 10.
Cons: The mattress is rather hard. I loved it, but if you are in for a soft one, you might have an issue here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host and position are top! Parking available or bus station is very close or you walk to the city center. Close by you have a green recreation area in a beautiful forest. All perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Meticulous attention to every whim that a traveller may need. Spacious, modern, beautifully appointed apartment with a terrace.
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Like staying in someone’s architectural design come to life, but comfortable, clean and relaxing, especially if the weather is nice enough to sit out on the 1st floor veranda amongst the plants. Fixtures and the like are quality, another reminder of the love put into the place. To all of this, add nice touches like a couple bottles of beer in the fridge, and chocolates to munch on. Location isn’t exactly central but in a pleasant, “locals” neighborhood with restaurants nearby. The 12 bus can be caught about 50 m away, which takes one across the center of town to Zentrum Paul Klee on the other side. Host even provided transportation passes, so all this at no additional cost. Good Wi-Fi.
Cons: Communication not best as emails seeking check-in guidance not responded to. The floor and (especially) stairs were a bit noisy to walk on, but really part of the character.
B&B The B - Bern - Bedroom
3
9.5 Excellent (127 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, B&B The B offers accommodation in Bern. BEA Bern Expo is 1.2 km from B&B The B, while Bern Clock Tower is 1.3 km away. The nearest airport is Belp Airport, 6 km from B&B The B. Access to Bern´s public transport is included for the duration of the guests´ stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I found the breakfast excellent; sadly I did not have time to enjoy it more. The B&B is a little removed from the old town centre, but that was fine for me; if you walk/cycle the B&B is uphill from the centre/station. It is situated in a very quiet area. The host was friendly and helpful (and spoke english, german, italian, and french... at least).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved having access to the kitchen and the breakfast was delightful. We walked to downtown Bern easily and the route to the Bern Expo and stadium was even easier. The tram was close enough to the B&B that we took it directly to the train station
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The b&b is very clean, the room is very big with a nice small bathroom. A simple but good breakfast is included in the price, even though if it's not enough, there's a supermarket very close to the structure - approx 5 min on foot. Great is the fact that upon your arrival you receive public transport tickets which are very useful since the b&b is not very centrally located. But the trams come very often, it takes 5 minutes to arrive to the city centre and the tram stop is very close to the b&b. You can also park your car in front of the building but you need to book the parking place before. The only thing that can be a bit disturbing to someone is the fact that there's no thick curtain in the room so basically in the morning once the sun is up, the room is full of light. Otherwise the place is very nice. Highly recommended!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place has charm. The room is big and the balcony is perfect for both evening and morning relaxation/ coffee drinking. Breakfast was diverse and you could use the kitchen/breakfast area during the day to make yourself tea/coffee. The radio during breakfast made me feel like I was on vacation with slow jazzy tunes, sadly I had to go to work after I drank my coffee.
Cons: Since it's an old house, the sound isolation isn't great (just between the door and the hallway). But I slept well anyway, the bed was too comfortable to deny.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great location and value! Would stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating on check in time! Lovely stay! Comfy room. Would stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location and only minutes from excellent public transport as well as a few restaurants and shops. Annemarie was a wonderful and welcoming host. As well as a very good continental breakfast, there was tea and coffee available any time. We also enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony in the evening.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house is located in a quiet suburban street, a short distance from the Bern city centre. A short walk takes you to nearby shops and restaurants, and also the tram which delivers you downtown in a few minutes. The room itself is very well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. The room was self contained with a great shower, and a sunny balcony too. Our host Annemarie, really made our stay fantastic . She was a wealth of information, providing maps and advice, which really helped us plan our stay. She also provided a lovely breakfast each morning. This was a clean, comfortable, relaxing place to stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: owner was very helpful, friendly and honest

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was simple but sufficient. So were the rooms. The location was great and the rooms were quiet and clean.
Cons: There were little facilities (such as use of a kitchen could be helpful if you don't want to go out to eat each evening), there was a bath but the plug was nowhere to be seen so could not be used. The rooms were not cleaned during the stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in arrangement, large room, simple yet practical design, quiet neighborhood within short walking distance to old town and train station, and 2 minutes walking from multiple bus stops. City travel pass provided by B&B is very useful for seeing more parts of the city.
Cons: Even though it is a shared bathroom system, there are two spacious and tidy bathrooms, and I never had to wait for one.
6.8 Good
Pros: The service was very nice and helpful. We even got an umbrella as a gift as it was raining. Breakfast fresh and we even had gluten-free bread. Feels like a house and although we had to share bathroom it was better than. We expected.
Cons: Sharing a bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The most interesting keys! Angela cooked up eggs to order. Dining room/ lounge was perfect place to relax and to have a dinner we brought back from farmers market. The shutters blocked out the sun and provided a nice breeze. Loved the charm of this older row house.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hostess was lovely. Check in was very convenient.
Cons: We learned after our visit that B&Bs (like hotels) should provide passes for free bus, train, teams and 50% off at select attractions and museums. This was not offered.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hospitality by the owner Ms. Angela was good, but the facility was not of my choice, actually I didn't knew about B&B until I stayed there. Nevertheless, it was OK!
Cons: The checkout time @ 9:30 AM was strange for me, however it didn't impact me, coz I was supposed to leave early for a meeting in different city!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was really comfortable and stylish.
Cons: Not being able to use the bathroom after 10 pm. But it is understandable as there are other guests staying as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Angela went above and beyond- breakfast, printing out some options for our next town
Cons: We aren’t used to sharing a bathroom, but it worked out fine
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Huge rooms and very clean. Very authentic European town house and a welcome change from standard hotels.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host, convenient location, super clean room. There are two bright shared bathrooms in the apartment. Highly recommended!!
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, my mother and I really enjoy our stay here.
Cons: Everything is perfect, and really convenient for the transport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, very kind staff, nice breakfast in a calming, charming dining room. Location is excellent, by bus is just minutes from the city center.
Cons: It's an old house, so the stairs and the floor is creaking all the time. Not such a big issue, but that's the only thing I can find which is negative.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very charming
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, charming bed and breakfast in a very nice location. Staff very attentive, breakfast was excellent. Overall I would recommend strongly.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place for attending meetings in the city. It is cheaper than hotels, well connected to public transportation (included in the room cost), and provides a personal touch as no hotel do.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is one of the best I’ve ever encountered, breakfast was delicious, the place is sparkling clean and beautifully decorated
Cons: I’m with light sleep and I would sometimes wake up even if someone walked in the building although all the guests were quiet and respectful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast, very helpful and relaxed staff, great beds, clean bathrooms,
Cons: It would be great to have more fresh bread in the morning, warm if possible
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely decorated and well mantained b&b. It is located on a side street and very quiet. The owner is very nice and takes care of all your need. The breakfast is good. As i stayed at the b&b the outside temperatue was close to 30 degree but the room was still cool in the night w/o need of air conditioning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice 'home' after the sightseeing tours. Big room, convenient bed, everything with high quality. The breakfast and the breakfast room was super, the team is very kind and helpful. Location is close to the center. If the place is fully booked the common bathroom may be the only task to focus. Thanks a lot for the owner and her kind team for the enjoyable stay :)

Cons: very average sauna and no pool, just the hot tub, you have to wear swim suite in sauna(
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great position, very friendly and helpful staff and beautiful cool rooms in this very hot weather.. my only word of warning is set your alarm to get up because the bed was unbelievably comfortable!!
Cons: Sadly the Spa was closed so that was the only downer!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything thing was great, the staff were friendly and the hotel location was excellent
Cons: There was no air conditioning in the room, only a cooling system and a fan even in the summer
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located across the street from the train station but very quiet. The staff is super nice
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. It was right in front of the central station. There was a welcome drink at the reception, and some fruits at the room, nice coffee machine, and the TV was wide enough to enjoy Wimbledon. The breakfast at the brasserie was really good. I have never had such a tasty avocado... There was a rooftop yoga class and the fitness gym open 24hours. They offered me a free bus ticket valid during my stay and it was helpful. I thought the price was surprisingly reasonable thinking about the luxuary experience you would find.
Cons: The hotel room was cold for me. It was not a big problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed, bar none. I have travelled frequently for business and pleasure over the past 20 years, and the Schweizerhof ranks at the top of all the places I've stayed. The location is excellent, the staff well-prepared and attentive, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable, all without feeling pretentious. Always my top choice in Switzerland.
Cons: Nothing! As usual, everything was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Big room. AC in the room. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Overpriced breakfast. You can eat better in the train station in front of the hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked having access to a kitchen and the helpfulness/insight of the hosts!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There is a bus to get in town only few stops from train station. Good hospitality with homelike shared bathroom.
Cons: Wifi signal was weak signal during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was warmly welcomed by the owner and recieved a lovely room tour. I instantly felt well and in good hands. All of the rooms were very clean which was a huge plus point for me. Going to the city center was also quite easy (approximately 5 minutes) since the bus station is nearby. The staff was not only helpful but also highly friendly and nice which made me feel like home there. They helped me with my luggage and made my trip more fascinating with their advices and tipps about the city. I would definetely recommend Cozy Home to everyone since they are a true sample of excellent hospitality!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic guest house about 20 minutes walk from Bern old town in a quite neighbourhood. Made to feel welcome by the friendly hosts. Bern is a very expensive city for accommodation, cost us about £100 for the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very polite, generous and helpful landlords, silent for rest, close to city center and bus stop....
Cons: Everything were perfect so notting
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely wonderful especially for families. The hosts are lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our lovely hosts spoke excellent English, were very friendly, welcoming and happy to assist us with any queries including best places to eat. Francis also carried my heavy suitcase up the four flights of stairs to the family apartment- no mean accomplishment! The apartment (in the attic) was charming and tastefully furnished with excellent amenities and equipment. It really felt like being at home and we were sorry to leave. Cozy Home is a credit to its owners and comes highly recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The neighborhood is wonderful, very close to bus station and Bern Weissenbuhl train station, also near supermarkets. The owners of the property (a family) live in the same building, and they’re very very nice, helpful, and keep checking if everything’s good with the room and our stay. Francis (the owner) even gave us a car ride to Bern Main Station when we checked out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very sweet place with extra touches such as a toothbrush if you forgot one, maps for the city, and coffee and tea provided. Clean and nicely decorated.
Cons: It is on the fourth floor with no elevator, so it’s a lot of steps with a suitcase.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host who also gave us an umbrella as it rained our one day in Berne
Hotel Savoy Bern - Bern - Building
8
9.1 Excellent (2,920 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Savoy Bern in Bern (Old City of Bern), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Bundeshaus (Swiss Parliament) and Bern Art Museum (Kunstmuseum). Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, only 2 mins from train station. Friendly staff. Valued breakfast.
Cons: Cleanless is not good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Poor AC, WARM ROOM
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My stay here was awesome, staff was very helpful, the hotel is just near the train station but a bit farther down the street, so you don't get much noise. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch, usually I cannot leave the room without a cup of coffee. 10/10, will come here again if I get the chance.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was large, modern and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok, but not sensational. The hotel is located few steps to the railway station and, also, very close to the city center.
Cons: The hallway of the hotel had a bad smell. Also, the room didn' t have a mosquito net for window.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Overall excellence Great location
Cons: A little expensive
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Comfort.
Cons: Small breakfast area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and lobby were beautifully done and exgremely convenient. The staff was warm, courteous, and helpful.
Cons: Everything was well done.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We chose the hotel because it is situated close to the railway station and the old town. And we did the right choice. All important sights are within walking distance. If you do not want to explore the city by foot, you can travel free by bus or tram, because the hotel offered us a code which gave us free transport during our stay. The room was comfortable, well equipped and clean. We appreciated the coffee machine and the comfortable bed, mainly. Buffet breakfast was included, not a various choice and the same breakfast in each morning. Staff was nice and helpful.
Cons: We booked a comfort double room with street view, but we had one with no view, our windows were looking to the back yard, which was not nice at all. We would have liked more hot dishes for breakfast, like fried eggs or omelette.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: excellent location, easy walk from the train station. good breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location....very close to the train station and town! The hotel staff was very accommodating and our room was even nicer than we had expected.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is very close to the Bhf, downtown, trams and popular tourist destinations. Staff was very helpful and excellent. This is a very safe location, also no cars are allowed on this street. AIR CONDITIONED. Sweet. Rooms were very clean, breakfast in the morning was quite good, overall a very nice experience. The electrical connections are a bit different here from the rest of Europe, the staff helped us cobble enough pieces together to make everything work. There are a sufficient number of electric plugs, Internet was very reliable. Most businesses are closed after around 1800, most are closed Sunday as well for planning purposes. The hotel provides you with a city card which gets you free public transportation while you're here within the Berne city limits.
Cons: The exchange rate I was given at checkout was 1Chf=0.9357 US$. As I type, the two currencies are more like 1Chf=0.9936 US, and on top of that another 3.5% fee was charged. Had I known this, I would surely have gone to the money machine and paid cash, would have been very easy to do, and I'd be about $100/US better off. Rooms were a bit tight but that's Europe one supposes. Everything in Suisse is very, very expensive, double at least and sometimes triple what you would expect to pay in the lower 48.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: -located just outside of the train station -conveniently only steps away from town centre -efficient, welcoming staff
Cons: -considering Nespresso is Swiss, Nespresso machine in room should use real Nespresso pods, not cheap knock-offs
Schloss Huenigen - Bern - Building
9
9.1 Excellent (1,678 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Schloss Huenigen in Konolfingen, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Sensorium. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The general attitude of the personnel was so negative that we had difficult to find anything that we liked. We had hoped that at least the breakfast would be worthwhile, unfortunately even there we noticed the low quality of the food.
Cons: May be the management could be a little more friendly, or et least show some commercial generosity… We had to decide, because of an emergency at home, to check out after one day, but had reserved (and payed) for 2 days. We informed the hotel early in the morning of our sudden departure hoping that this timely warning would incite them to refund the second night or to give a reduction on the totality of the steep hotel- or restaurant bill. The only "gesture" they would do was offer us a voucher for future use, although we had made it clear that we would never return to that hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: -
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff, great place to stay, loved the rose garden. Time didn't allow us to use the wellness offerings - would have liked to try it out. Next time.
Cons: Somekind of air conditioning would have been great as it was really hot in the room and there was no breeze that would have cooled the room down.
6.8 Good
Pros: The setting, the staff and breakfast, and certainly the wild meadows for the wildlife
Cons: The price, slightly high for what it was in the annexe, the food choice was terrible and certainly over priced There are no Tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, a must for any travellers
6.3 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable. The bath products were also nice. I appreciate the water and apples in the room. Shower had great water pressure. The breakfast is great and so is the breakfast staff. The lady in the kitchen doesn’t speak English but she is truly kind and caring of everyone there. I appreciate her.
Cons: It was HOT. For such a fancy hotel, and the price you pay, they didn’t have a fan or anything. We complained of the heat but was told that “I’ll ask my manager if we have anything.” Obviously, from the reviews I’ve seen the have offered it to someone before but I guess we weren’t worthy of a fan or cooler. We were staying for almost a week so on the weekend, there was noise and partying way past midnight. They should either lower their price or call their customers to inform them that there will be a party or wedding so there will be noise. I like to know beforehand if my sleep is going to be ruined. I asked for more water one day and I was given a bill of $9 and told them I don’t want it. They provide water to the wellness area for free but as a paying guest, I can’t have more water? Later on they started giving me a glass full of water for free. Overall, I was very annoyed my entire stay here. It was not worth it.
4.5 Okay
Pros: garden view friendly staff good breakfast
Cons: Not enough positive points to compensate the too long distance from Bern city center Small size of the bedroom Small size of the bathroom Small size of the bed No office desk just a small table I checkin late so the friendly doorman at the lobby has been unable to change my room when i requested it. Pity Car park a little bit too far away. no concrete way between carpark and lobby. not really easy with suitcases.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in remote area but close to train station and with 25min train to Bern. Very good breakfast, nice garden and great wellness.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, suggested a lovely walk to see the sights around town. They provided a fan, which helped during the unseasonably warm temperatures. The room was plenty large and clean.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Free tram rides to downtown Berne.
Cons: No aircon during the big heatwave may seem OK for central Europe, but pretending that a fan in the room is just as good and does not make you sick is ridiculous. Few dining places in the neighbourhood, pretty average breakfast. All in all overpriced.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds. Good size bathroom. Room had balcony. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Very poor breakfast compared to others on our trip. Items not topped up, bread ran out, no cooked items.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. very friendly and helpful staff. we arrived way earlier than the check in time but they manage to find us a room. Breakfast is good and for 18 euros is great value for money since you can hardly find anything for this price in Bern anyway. Rooms are clean with all the extra things that make is nice. It's either we were lucky with quit customers or the walls and doors are soundproof. a little nice bonus is a free public transport ticket for the entire stay.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: this is by far the best hostel i ha ve ever been to. Apart from all the rest, the view from the kitchen at sunset was gorgeous (see photo) and the staff was very helpful and kind. plus they rent/sell waterproof bags to go swim in the river, how cool is that!
Cons: this is really cherry picking, and more a fact than a critique. the hostel was full, so the kitchen was often full of people and i would have to time my meal accordingly. i will also say: switzerland has banned air conditioning, so the hostel doesn’t have it. it was 30 degrees celsius during my stay, and with a smart use of the shades, i did not need it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is really nice and the staff is very kind. The rooms are good and the breakfast is very good. It is not very close to the city center but they give you a card to use the bus and trams during the stay, then it helps a lot.
Cons: I didn’t have any problems.

Pros: Breakfast was tasty!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, rooms
Cons: Not so funny
8.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast and super friendly and extraordinary helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable, the restrooms and showers very convenient and there was a nice kitchen and nice play room. It was well located for my needs and was easy to use public transportation.
Cons: Breakfast became repetitive, and there was no AC (hardly needed) everything else was excellent.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: If you need a place with parking and access to the city center, this is a convenient choice. It's hardly 10 minutes away from the old Town of Bern via a bus that stops right outside.
Cons: It doesn't really have much of a hostel feel, at least in the wintertime if you are also looking for a social component.

Pros: The breakfast, the location.
Cons: The room was very hot. No air con. We had 2 fans but still slept in a pool of sweat.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good. It had a good choice of food, fruit and breads.
Cons: I have already reported to Alpenblick about the arrival and finding the underground garage. The first receptionist didn't explain the procedure very well whereas a second receptionist went out of her way and left her desk to come out and explain. But it meant I had to walk around a block of houses to go back to the reception desk after a very long day of driving.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: close to the place can get panorama viewing on the city. and not far from the city center. the surrounding is quiet. the parking place is fine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The rooms were fantastic. Very nice place to stay with a family. Location is perfect. We loved Bern!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an emergency booking for us, done at the last minute. The front desk staff was super nice and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable immediately. The room and the view was awesome. We can’t wait to go back.

Cons: nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff are excellent and the location is great for a visit to Bern. Rooms clean, beds comfy.
Cons: The exchange rate makes a visit to Bern very expensive. 16 Francs for breakfast seems steep when you only want a coffee and snack. But apparently that’s the difference between booking direct and using booking. Com

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Budget friendly. Awesome staff.
Cons: No elevator.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly friendly and helpful staff who lent us extra hats and even offered their car one day, which we appreciated but didn’t take up. They gave great advice on how to keep cool in Bern during the heat wave. Great food at reasonable prices. Lovely garden atmosphere
Cons: Our room was on the top floor and the room was very hot during the unseasonal heat wave. The air con unit struggled under these conditions.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly, beds comfortable and breakfast was great.
Cons: This is an old building with a lot of character but the steps are a bit difficult especially with luggage.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Check-in procedure on Sunday was easy and simple. The kitchen was always available for us to use and there was also a dish washer which saved us a lot of time cleaning our mess.
Cons: Despite of being near the bus stop but we need to go down a slope to get to the hotel which will be a little bit hard if you have heavy luggage. This is just a small problem compared to other good things.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky hotel. Great location in the old town opposite the river. Good size room with an en-suite. Very friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Good outside area to relax and enjoy a drink.
Cons: Our room was on the 3rd floor so lots of steps to climb. Good exercise for us but not suitable for anyone with walking limitations.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great /breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. Beds were extremely comfy.
Cons: The stairs and floors creak ALOT and as we were leaving early I felt like I was waking everyone up. The shower in our room would not suit a larger person
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so helpful and pleasant and the location was ideal
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was perfectly located right by the beautiful River Aare a short walk from the main historic thoroughfare of Bern. It's a small property in a historic building with lovely staff. Breakfast was simple but filling with made-to-order coffee drinks by the kind staff. The rooms are modest but very clean and efficiently laid out. We stayed in a 4 person room which was definitely a tight squeeze, but we knew what we were getting into as a family of 4.
Cons: This is not a complaint, just be aware that there is no air conditioning in the space, and we happened to arrive during a heat wave. Fortunately the rooms cooled down significantly at night but if you are sensitive to this, be aware.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and the help from staff.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel rooms were clean but a little old (it is the style I believe so that is not a negative thing). We could not get our bookings with breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Bern has a huge train station and I had a problem finding the bus stop for Bus 21 to the hotel. Nevertheless, the bus stop at the hotel is just next to it. It is only 4 stops away from the train station and a short walking distance to the old town of Bern. The people serving us at the hotel, as well as the cleaning ladies who made our rooms, and the technician who showed us how to use the TV were friendly and helpful. The rooms have coffee/tea and two complimentary bottles of water. It has a refrigerator, air-conditioning, room slippers and bathrobes.
Cons: My rooms were ground floor so my window faces a hedge. The carpet and corners of the room can be cleaner as there were dust and spiders around. Nevertheless, slippers were provided and clean cloth to be placed beside the beds so that your bare feet need not touch the carpet when you wake up before slipping into the slippers. As usual, all Swiss small hotels do not provide toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is good . The location was excellent
Cons: Beds and pillow

4.3 Okay
Pros: Good location and the room was clean.
Cons: The hotel was very hot and stuffy. No coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. No washcloths available. Had to walk through the breakfast room and up stairs to get to our room. The workout room was in the attic and very hot, no air conditioning or even a fan in the room. The staff was unfriendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic! There was AC in the room, which was important because it was extremely hot when we were there (Europe going through a heatwave).
Cons: The cleanliness was not tops. The cleaning staff overlooked a pair of used contacts laying on the desk in the room and there was an egg shell on one of the plates at breakfast. Other than this everything else was nice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Near the train station
Cons: The room is noisy in the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet room. Comfortable bed, considering that i had a back operation and my back felt lovely after sleeping in their bad, no pain at all or any discomfort related to it. Very diverse breakfast with plenty of options to chose from. They give me complementary transport ticket for one day. Pretty helpful and welcoming staff. After check out i was able to leave my luggage with the hotel until later when my train was supposed to leave, which was a wonderful thing for me as it let me free to be able to visit more things before i left the country.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location
7.7 Good
Pros: Our room had a balcony, had on-site washer and dryer, breakfast was good and the breakfast staff friendly.
Cons: No air conditioning so we left the window open at night and we awakened by street construction/trash collection noise early in the morning. The laundry on site is great but is only one person at a time and if someone leaves their stuff then no one can use the washer/dryer so you have to wait around.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: close to shops, coffee facilities in seperate room, breakfast was delightful.
Cons: parking was close but still costly even at a reduced rate/
7.5 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Tiny room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really helpful an friendly. You feel at home the moment you step inside. Something worth mentioning...it was quite. No sounds from the neighbor rooms or any other distractions while we were there.
Cons: The AC wouldn't stay on when we were out for a trip through the city. This was especially annoying during our visit because the temperatures at the moment were between 35 and 38°C (OUTSIDE!). Just a detail but it would have been nice if the AC cooled the room down during our absence instead of turning it on and waiting for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decent breakfast. Excellent location.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Modern comfortable good facilities even had a laundry available important for travellers. Breakfast included and really good

Pros: We got a really large room! The hotel is literarily in the middle of Bern and near the train station. The receptionist was extremely friendly and really good at her job! The free coffee and tea was a bonus!
9.3 Excellent
Cons: The loud outside noise from the market in front of the hotel
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Nice facility to have free drinks whenever you want.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but it had been a very hot day so we had to leave the windows open and it was very noisy outside during the night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The position was perfect, in the centre of the city. Also the staff was really kind.
Cons: The room had a really old appearance, especially the bathroom but maybe someone can like that kind of style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean, staff is very welcoming and helpful! Excellent service. Thanks for my great staying.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: No air conditioner.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good. Close to central station and city centre.
Cons: I checked in at 5pm and there was no one at reception as it was weekend. Message states at reception to contact another hotel in front of hotel for check in. There were hardly any amenities in room. No minibar, power sockets were far away from bed. It seems bedrooms are designed well. Bathroom was very small.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was great, very central and the personnel was incredibly friendly. If you desire to stay ask for recommendations for things to do!
Cons: The price was quite high, although this is at the lower end for Swiss standards. The bathroom was very old and felt not hygienic. The rooms do not have air-conditioning, which is not doable in summer.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: no charging ports, no soap case holder in bathroom, no light in bathroom-shower area
8.8 Excellent

5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel location is good.
Cons: The hotel is under construction. We were assign to a remote room on the second floor so we were passing dangerous construction zone. The corridor to our room was undergoing extensive re-modeling. It was very dirty, smelly, unpleasant bare new concrete to walk on, unfinished wires hanging allover. I wouldn't mind such inconvenience considering low room price, however at checkout I was lectured that they undercharge me for the stay due to booking.com error. Well, I would've never booked this hotel at full price and, in any event, They should not lecture and shame guests for their price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location.
Cons: No information about the renovation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In the centre, good price
Cons: During my stay, the renovation was going on. I was warned about that prior of checking in, still, on one day, the noise in the morning was quite unbearable.
6.8 Good
Pros: The muesli and vitamin juice served for breakfast were exceptional.
Cons: 1. Too much dust and noise from on going construction. 2. Reading chair not available. The stool provided was not comfortable at all, especially when writing.
6.3 Good
Cons: very uncomfortable and small rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and good value. Will be brilliant when the renovations are complete and still great even while they are going on.
Cons: The renovations made it a little dusty and noisy - but I was warned in advance beforehand and the staff did a brilliant job to make my stay welcoming and trouble free anyway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The room very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room we were provided was spacious & had a good outlook. The breakfast was excellent & provide free as compensation for the building noise that was inescapable each day from 08:00 to 18:00. The staff did their best to look after customers but they had a difficult task because the building renovations are massive & affect the whole hotel. It really is one big construction site. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay & the location is excellent.
Cons: Apparently in mid-December the hotel sent out an advice that there would be some noise disturbance due to renovations. Unfortunately, I did not notice this email. This was my short-coming. However, the email gave no idea of what a massive renovation would be under way. Nor did it adequately convey the dust & noise that would be present each day.
