Pros (+) AC WAS NOISY AND NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO COOL THE ROOM. Rug appeared old.
Cons (-) Bad A/C. I couldn't sleep. Too hot, had to open window and then outside noise kept me up.

Jon, May 2017 - Best Western Hotel Tritone
Pros (+) This hotel is right across the street from the Mestre train station. Each morning, when I woke up, I would just buy a cheap train ticket and cross over to the main island of Venice. This was ideal for me, as staying on the mainland saved me hundreds of dollars and was still very convenient. If you have to stay on the mainland like I did, the Tritone is a good location with good rooms, a good staff...
Cons (-) There only thing that I didn't like is that the surrounding area is very drab, but I didn't expect more. I knew that it wasn't going to be in a very fancy area, but that really didn't bother me because the location was ideal for what I needed.

Pros (+) Loved everything. Wasnt expecting how "posh" it would be. Worth the money. Good breakfast, powerful shower, clean and the view at breakfast.
Cons (-) The terrace at evening is only for booked sit down meals and we went at just gone 10pm for a drink as only a couple of tables were being used and even though the drinks would have cost use €20 they turned us away as meals only. Also I know its petty but the coffee at breakfast was cheap quality not nice at all for saying its Italy.

Pros (+) It was a lovely place to eat breakfast on the water each morning and very close to the train station.
Cons (-) We had a room on the 4th floor without an elevator. Such is the nature of old buildings in venice.
