Pros: Babs and Christophe are great hosts, nothing is too much bother. Our planned late arrival wasn't an issue, we had a fantastic room - Room 5 - which was immaculate, with the added bonus of underfloor heating in the bathroom. Breakfast was amazing and very social with their lovely pet dogs also roaming around the spotless grounds. We weren't due to be picked up until quite late on the day of our departure but were still able to make use of the lounge and facilities. All-in-all a brilliant secluded location with a couple of friendly, jovial owners. Highly recommended.
Cons: There is nothing to improve, they have everything well squared away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is perfect, great location and fantastic hosts. Ideally situated in the Algarve. The garden is wonderful and a relaxing day can be spent reading by the pool listening to all the birds. The hosts are well connected to the local community and can provide helpful insights into finding a local hidden treasure that suits your interests. The breakfast is beyond a doubt the best of all the places we stayed in Portugal, so is the room and facilities. This is well priced and a great place to stay. Trust us, book here and you will not want to leave.
Cons: Everything was perfect. I did not like that we had to leave...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Here you can find love for little things
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners of the house are exceptional and try to help us in anything we needed in our short stay. I totally recommend this place for any guest that is looking for a nice and relax house for vacations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely country retreat. Christophe and Babs are perfect hosts with great recommendations for local attractions. Room and bed were large and clean. Trust bar was well stocked. Three gorgeous dogs and a lovely cat. Small but nice pool. Good secluded areas in the gardens but also fine group areas around the house. You can keep to yourself or engage with the other guest if you like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Babs und Christophe are the nicest and most welcoming hosts you could ever wish for. At any time they do provide you with insider tips concerning beaches and restaurants, as well as with a lovely homemade breakfast every morning. B&B Baxri is surrounded by beautiful nature at the southern westcoast of Portugal, off the beaten and crowded tourism tracks. Nevertheless you can find countless dreamy beaches and very recommendable restaurants nearby. We would definitely come back again to spend another relaxing holiday at this amazing B&B! Highly recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our (family with two kids) best spot on our Portugal Trip . Breakfast was great and they look for individual wishes; hosts (Babs&Christoph) were very kind, open minded, helpful, they provide good recommendations, they take care and no wish stays open; the spot is amazing and the B&B is excellent for relaxing in the garden as well as starting point for discovering the whole south west of Portugal/Algarve; even in the evening the hosts offer a cosy place with self-service bar and they allow to bring take away food from restaurants.... To put it in a nutshell: we felt like in holiday-home and did not want to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Oustanding stay. Beautiful location. Close to beaches but surrounded by nature. Extremely warm welcome from the couple running the B&B. The room, the swimming pool, the garden, everything is just phenomenal.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room and comfy bed! (box spring) Very friendly owners, with great advice about surrounding area and local restaurants. Christophe is well-informed on the surf conditions. He even borrowed me his board to catch some waves :-) Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit salad, homemade pastries and fresh orange juice. Ask for the omelet, Babs knows how to prepare them! Nice, peaceful and green garden with refreshing swimming pool.

Pros: Lots of facilities for coffee and food and even supplied a DIY breakfast even although not included in price. Great value for money.
Cons: Room was basic but ideal for walking Rota. Nothing to do with Guest House but be aware that many of restaurants in Carpatraria are closed. So get there in time for mini mart closing so you can at least get some food ! Our delightful host offered to run us to restaurant nearby.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely fresh breakfast, beautiful setting, stunning views
Cons: Definitely need a hire car, we luckily booked one last minute when our airport transfer fell through and were extremely glad we did. Downside to the absolutely beautiful setting - very rural so need to drive to supermarket, restaurants etc
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a quiet, beautiful spot outside of town. The staff, breakfast and rooms are tremendous. I wanted to stay for a week!
Cons: There is no restaurant so if you are on foot, you must take a taxi to get lunch and dinner. It is a challenge to be solved for the limited staff. Maybe it is for the best, I loved this location so much I would never leave otherwise! :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: - The location is just perfect, away from the crowded resort towns which plague the algarve. - the decor of the rooms is contemporary but clearly still very traditional Portuguese in style (cork, terracotta et) - the views from the terrace outside the room - breakfast was delicious - staff were very friendly - located close to some gorgeous, unspoilt beaches - nice pool - heated floors in the bathrooms
Cons: - the one major thing that soured our stay we only had hot water for one shower over a 3 night stay, not ideal when your days are spent on beaches and the nights can be pretty cold. We spoke to the cleaner about it as reception was unattended but she didn’t know why it wasn’t working (she didn’t relay our inquiry to management either). When we spoken to the (genuinely lovely) manager upon check out she advised that they had been having issues with the solar hot water and had had a maintenance man visit to try to fix the issue several times. Just my opinion but I think these are the things you should be made aware of as a guest. “If you have any problems with getting hot water just let us know...”
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Monte da Vilarinha is a very beautiful acommodation. It is located a bit off the road in the valley between the mountains. This location makes the acommodation so special: It is beautifully settled in the mid of nature with a lovely mountain view from the gorgeous rooms. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing - we loved it. Monte da Vilarinha was a good starting point for exploring the beaches of the west coast.
6.8 Good
Pros: The accommodation was very nice
Cons: The location was very isolated, not much to do in the evenings near by. Definitely need a hire car to go anywhere. Constant baby crying after the third day so I left the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, absolutely perfect for a peaceful holiday
Cons: Everything was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is very idyllic and tranquil. The rooms and whole estate are very aesthetic. The hosts are very friendly. The breakfast was great, very yummy. Everything was fresh, including eggs and juice.
Cons: The very narrow and steep gravel roads to and from the estate were a bit hard on our rental car. If you don't want to drive every night for dinner into the next village (10-15 min), bring your own food. Note: Next village only has very small shop with essentials. Fridge in room not vety big.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, very relaxing with great access to the wonderful beaches of the Western Algarve (amazing and much less touristy). Great breakfast and comfortable room!
Cons: We didn't have access to a kitchen which was a bit disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Off the tracks but still close to amazing beaches, great hiking area, friendly staff and super nice rooms with terrace and kitchenette. Would go back anytime!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Diego is a great host
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice central location, good layout of the hostel with the dorms downstairs and the communal areas and family/double/twin rooms upstairs. Clean and orderly
Cons: it seems that the double and twin rooms are only separated by a thin wall with an open space at the top. It was fine as there were nobody in the twin room when we were there, but I would have not been as comfortable if there had been somebody in that other room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was nice, we had a private room with private bathroom so we had enough privacy. Everything was really clean. Bordeira beach is just up to 3 km (and we had to go there anyway to find good and opened restaurant) and it was very very beautiful. Very good for one night stay during walking Rota Vicentina. There was no noise after 10pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and facilities were beyond amazing, we wanted to stay longer but they were already booked out!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very well set-up, especially the kitchen and common room. Nice rooftop terrace. Beds are comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Ideal spot for a break on the Rota Vicentina.

Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great atmosphere, facilities and staff at a great price. A great choice for those on the Rota Vicentina like me.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: i stayed in Family Room which was very spaceful and modern. its a smaller hostel but very clean and cozy and great for solo travelers who like to surf. In the evening you can enjoy the sunny terrace while meeting other international backpackers/travelers. Host Diego was awesome and very entertaining. :) Amado beach is 5min driving, Aljezur (must visit) is 20min driving. Make sure you have enough gas in your car, the next gas station is also 20min away. There is a little supermarket in Carrapateira and few other places where you can have your meal.

Pros: The staff were both very nice and helpful. I liked the large, well-equipped kitchen. My room was comfortable and very clean.
