Closeness to all city facilities. nothing
Look and style. The ambience. Location is terrific. Mini bar pricing was not competitive. > Pillows were not comfortable. > Handle on televsion cabinets were broken > The smell of the bathroom towels were not pleasant. They were clean but the laundry powder used was not fragrantly appealing > Bar staff on the night were not managing the waiting patrons effectively
It is a very comfortable place to stay. We couldn't use the hotel on the Saturday night as it was booked out with functions. On the Sunday night nothing was open and the riverside bar had a function. We still have our free drink and food vouchers as they couldn't be used.
Close to the function we where attandind Hotel needs a face lift
Every time I stay at the Stamford Plaza Brisbane I always leave feeling like the staff have gone above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. When you require a twin room it would be nice to have something bigger than a king single bed. Even a double bed would be a better option.
Kabuki Restaurant Had lunch at the courtyard restaurant and thought the service poor and the prices high.
a classy yet relaxed hotel. breakfast was excellent but was only worth buting when we got the discount vouchers as it was rather expensive otherwise.
Good location. The breakfast is too expensive.
Easy check in, quiet location
Attentive staff, and a delightful location for breakfast, in particular (The Brasserie). The quality of the breakfast was also very good. Rooms just a little clastrophobic. And it would be nice to be able to open a window rather than rely on airconditioning. A balcony would be even better! However, I note a male person "fell" from the balcony of an adjacent hotel on the evening (or there abouts) we visited!
It was great to be so close to all facilities that were of interest to almost every type of person for e.g. gamberling, dining, clubs and pubs or just driving around exploring sites of interest. Not knowing where we were going we missed the valet parking "twice"because we couldn’t see any signage so just went to the public car park but is was just as good I believe anyway as our parking was validated. Thanks guys!
Classy hotel, excellent large rooms & great position.
We loved being right in the heart of Brisbane, and having the casino for entertainment was great Loved the deep bath
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent location and presentation of the hotel. On site parking, dining and in the Brisbane CBD.
helpfulness of reception staff Noise - we were in room 117 and it was very noisy between a function in the atrium and a bar behind it. Lack of a plan to show us where facilities were.
Pleasant location with an old world feel A bit expensive
Spacious suite with good quality fittings (no chipboard). One of the best hotel showers I have ever experienced
Hotel front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. When I had a problem with the washing machine, they washed the laundry for me.
The location was great, the staff was excellent, the rooms were large and comfortable. Lobby and restaurant were tastefully decorated. Carpet was worn and threadbare in places in the room.
The staff were amazing, the rooms huge, everything extremely clean, great layout that easily fit us and our three small children in.
the staff the location and the hotel was fantastic ,staff were very friendly and helpful ,food was excellent 5 stars i would recommend this hotel to anyone cant wait to return.
It was an ideal location for attending a conference at the Brisbane convention centre, particularly as I was travelling alone. Great, spacious, well equipped rooms. I thought the price was a little on the high side. The noise of the nearby train could be an issue.
Excellent staff and receptionist
It was lovely having a luxury two bedroom apartment that had a great view of the fireworks and that is very close to the Brisbane River. Couldnt see pancakes on the buffet breakfast.
location was perfect for our function we attended , the water view and walk and market on sunday was great my wife and i yed in town all day. the bath room was very poorly lit , lights out etc.
Convenient location, pleasant environment and excellent staff Loud train noise outside my room making sleeping difficult
Proximity to City centre, but no price advantage to offset the not-so- convenient South Bank location. Other hotels better located in the cbd can be had for the same price. The hotel's internet connection is not good. Docomointertouch does not replicate Outlook e-mail. This is a Docomointertouch problem, and despite having complained about this many times they have not addressed the problem. You can find similar complaints on the Flyer Talk website for other guests who have come accross Docomointertouch at other hotel chains (Hyatt etc). Also, your washbasin in the bathroom is less than minimalistic: no space for 2 toiletry bags, and hardly sufficient space to wash, water splashing everywhere. Not good.
The staff were very pleasant, our room was large & well equiped, and was very convenient to trains & ferries.
What a fantastic hotel. Amazing Location! The parking lot is really tight and small. Also they charge per night.
great location. the staff was friendly and did their best to ensure we had a good stay. pool area was very nice. no balcony
room and view excellent waiting time to get in to our room
The room was well appointed, the bed very comfortable and theA/C efficient & quiet The room was not serviced on the day before we left. I contacted reception at 1630hrs to report this - nothing was done! When I complained the next morning I was shrugged off with a $20 rebate.
Business Package, good value for the money. Room was not dusted properly, hair in the shower stall.
our familiarity with all of it restaurant seems to have slipped somewhat
The room setup
early check in was a blessing. desk staff most efficient. room was good, clean and quiet. Marque hotel in sydney has an acceleratedd check out which simply requires a signature with card number and put it in a box at check out. no long waits to check out at peak hors.
Very comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast waiter in the restaurant One of the front desk staff was surly and unwelcoming, Also, we had to phone down 3 times for different things because our room was not well serviced. Waste bins were not emptied daily.
Staff were really good The chocolate brown paintwork was not a good choice - get a good colour co ordinator
The lunch menu was yummy, hotel perfect position for walking to everything, plus room service ladies nice and friendly. When we went to make a cup of tea, we found one of the cups had not been cleaned from the user before, but it was put away in the cupboard with the clean one.
The suite was conveniently set out and comfortable and very clean and close to everything in Brisbane
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and serviced daily. The location was terrific - very close to everything we wanted to do. The only thing I would have liked was a separate shower, although it would not stop me from booking again.
The location was central. The bed sheets and bed were very comfortable. The television was too small and there was no in-room safe.
convenience of the city, comfort of the hotel & service after hours room service, not friendly and didnt care we could not get what was on the menu, as they wer "busy"
Convenient to Mater Health Services Close to South Bank -- about 10 min walk Nice bathroom and shower. Room not serviced well. Twice a week cleaning performed poorly which really made the stay unpleasant. Furniture old and tired, e.g., one sits "in" the couch not "on" the couch. No television guide
We enjoyed our stay, the location was great & the room comfortable, the rate was also very affordable & it included parking.
The staff right from directing us to the hotel ( we got lost) to finding me a coffee plunger, extra blankets, just fantastic thanks Jas. So close to Southbank just perfect Nothing if you cant complain what can i say
The staff were extremely helpfull, the location was excellent within walking distance of Southbank and the view from 610 was superb! First room was not so good but the staff quickly changed to a better room.
The staff are courteous, prompt. They should use eftpos machines which accept Visa or Master or other international cards or alternatively accept international currencies.
The view of the Brisbane River, Southbank and the lights of the city at night was breathtaking. Including breakfast with the overnight stay was a bonus. Parking was free
Close to public transport, great views from the hotel room and friendly, knowledgable staff.
The Staff were very friendly, quiet location & close to Southbank and the Gabba bathroom could do with a minor upgrade
The room was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom can be updated.
The location was good, and it was one of the cheaper hotels in Brisbane. Although I never used it, there was a sauna and a nicely warmed spa. There was free parking, and they let us park the car there for a few more hours after we had checked out. The shower was warm with good water pressure and good height on the nozzle. The entire hotel had a strange smell (I think it was cheap cleaning products). The room had thin windows and the air conditioner/heater had some holes around it (as it was propped within the window) and we had a view of the M3, so the noise was horrific. We could have tried to turn on the heater to drown out some of the noise, but it was louder and more erratic than the motorway. The room was dusty. You could easily feel the springs through the thin mattress. We were quite cold both nights, as we couldn't turn on the heater because of the noise and there weren't enough blankets. They didn't bring us refills of shampoo and conditioner for the second day, and when I told the receptionist upon check out, she didn't apologize.
It was clean, the room had a great view, the bed was comfortable. It was a minor annoyance getting in to the shower.
All was good... no complaints. Windows in livingroom should be lower to enjoy the view over the CBD.It It is really a shame that this option was overlooked at the design stage.
Great apartment with all necessary facilities; tastefully decorated and furnished, with good quality appliances. Excellent location for river and city. The only bad thing was that there was a large build up of hair left in the bathroom basin plughole, which clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time!
The curtains were not dark enough to keep out the light for sleeping at night
Its in the heart of city next to elizebeth street.parking facility was good. rooms were good also bath room facilities like jacuzzi shower area were the best.cooking station and cooking facilities also excellent.
Location, nice rooms, clean. Because the shower is over the bath and the side of the bath is high a handle on the wall opposite the door would help getting in and out of the shower. Otherwise great.
Central location The view
to find out that it cost me AUD30.00 per day to park my rental car, also the light switches sparked every time you turned the lights on or off, a bit unsafe if you had small children with you. also we stayed for 5 nights and the apartment was not cleaned once or had the bed sheets replaced or the towels !!!
it located centrally in the city. a nice walk to most atractions of brisbane. Rooms were very clean and good size although i had booked a three bedroom apertment and on arrival all that was left was a two the staff were very helpful and very sorry for the miss hap
was close to central city with plenty of cafes close by.
close proximity to transport, shops, friendly staff, feeling safe and at home.
clean & friendly staff not much privacy
Not luxury. This was very convenient to the city and with parking. The room was fine and close to a good steakhouse, convenience store, pharmacy etc. Not far from the ferry to the city. Good value. No real soap.Just detergent machines in the bathroom. Real third country stuff, not suitable to a major capital city.
Room was clean and meet our requirements. Close to town and facilities, eg. Pinapple Hotel, The Gabba.
central location , great distance between shops and food, great parking
The room was cleaned every day. The beds were very comfy. Our room had large bushes outside the window and this made the room very dark. The bathroom had a musty smell.
Place .. Clean . Staff - helpful. Food- lots of eatery. Opp.24hrs.stores/ subway meal. Good quiet Area. Transport - bus or ferry Not much activity around the area except eating n gaming centre ..for matured couple
The manner of the receptionist, very helpfull and obliging. your house keeping staff...they should knock and say house keeping and not enter a room before 10am check out time unless they have been advised that that room is empty.
Conveniently placed , large rooms Smoke smell in room. No elevator to mount to first floor. Noisy swimming pool.
The proximity to the gabba and the off street parking. Lack of covers on the bed
