Pros: Location near family
Cons: Virtually no interaction with any employee except for check-in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: scenic location, comfortable room (King) with everything we'd want/need (other than a microwave, which would have been super to re-heat our coffee), and beautifully appointed common areas including outdoor patios. Breakfast was good, and the Sunday brunch definitely had a great variety of food along with wonderful attentive service. Our waitress was Irina from Belorus.
Cons: Can't think of anything we did not like. As I said, microwave in the room would have been a useful addition.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful elegant hotel in the countryside, with a welcoming and friendly staff. I had the best night's sleep in a long time in the wonderful room that was provided for me.
Cons: One side chair in the room needed to be cleaned, otherwise I had a perfect experience. They were kind enough to give me a complimentary room upgrade, and I'm looking forward to returning next fall.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Inn is a lovely place to stay. we enjoyed the indoor pool and chose the Inn over the 1820 B&B because the pool was there. It was lively as there was a wedding Friday. If you like hiking, kayaking, sightseeing it is all nearby.
Cons: the continental breakfast is very limited. All the cereals were sugar coated. The mattresses need replacement. We had a handicap room and the bar in the bath tub is below the soap dish!!!The bath chair they provided when we called was useless.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Well appointed rooms do not make up for acoustical problems. When asked upon checking out how our stay was, we explained we didn't get much sleep due to noisy room. Desk clerk said nothing, just walked away without saying anything. Terribly rude.
Cons: Walls were acoustically porous! We clearly heard TV in one adjacent room until 11:30 PM and again starting at 5:30 AM. Opposite adjacent room listened to man snoring all night. When using bathroom, it sounded like adjacent guests were showering with us.
7.5 Good
Pros: Availability when I needed it that day, and walking to restaurant...quiet heating, lovely receptionist❣️
Cons: ?
7.0 Good
Pros: the beds were very comfortable
Cons: I liked everything
5.0 Okay
Pros: Pleasant lobby and restaurant areas. Nice fireplace and comfortable sitting areas. Snacks and beverages in the lobby. Looks nice from outside. Close parking.
Cons: Yes - overpriced for condition of room and overall condition of hotel. Room was very worn and needs serious updating - especially the bathroom. Verged on disgusting. Peeling wallpaper, yellow stain on floor around toilet, grout in shower tiles.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Style and appeance of the hotel
Cons: All was good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have lived in Litchfield for 25 years so I have seen the various iterations of ownership over time. I have since moved to Florida and had to be back in Litchfield to get the house ready for new owners. I chose to stay at the inn for the proximity and was expecting mediocre at best, boy was I surprised and pleased. I called to say I was going to be later than expected and a very pleasant person said that would not be a problem, they looked forward to seeing me. When I arrived I was cheerfully greeted and checked in. The room was clean, very nicely appointed, the bed was comfy and I felt right at home. I had already eaten so I went for a nightcap into the bar/restaurant which had many friendly locals that I had known having a good time. Breakfast, I cannot say enough good things, I travel 50% of my time and am a Hilton Diamond member for many years. I expected the powder eggs and stale bread you come to find at many of the "free" breakfasts on the road. Here a wonderful woman was making custom omelets, with actual eggs not poured egg versions, with fresh ingredients. She even made me an omelet on an English muffin to go knowing that I had a long trip ahead. The coffee was Douwe Egberts and, for those who know good coffee, that was a real treat. But the best part was that she also baked up a cinnamon swirl cake that was out of this world. It was like having breakfast at my Grandma's house, food made with love. I sought out the manager to pay my compliments and found that the manager was actually the owner's son, the owner has several properties in his portfolio. I was very impressed with this young man's professionalism and zeal to make sure the level of hospitality and accommodations were in keeping with what he would expect from a high end establishment. I must say that the cost of my stay was very reasonable compared to the experience that I had.
Cons: I can't think of anything!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast area very pleasant, except for having large TV on. Lady making egg dishes, etc., Very pleasant.
Cons: More Kleenex boxes available. Better lighting in bathroom/slnk area.

7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was included. There were cookies upon arrival.
Cons: The hotel is overpriced for what you get. The staff upon arrival was not helpful. The evening staff person seemed overwhelmed and a bit snippy. There was no warm welcome. The staff when I left was friendlier. The hotel is similar to a Holiday Inn, but costs more. It is one of the few hotels in the area, but if I had other options, I wouldn't return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great new rooms, very helpful staff, especially during morning breakfast. Central location to many recreational sites.
Cons: Exterior could use some improvement. Upon approaching front of building ther lawn area needs some better plantings. Vehicle parking along north side should be releveled with crush stone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the beginning, the customer service was great! Heather, who was working at the front desk was very friendly and took the time to explain a bit about Litchfield when I asked. The hotel is quiet, clean and quaint, so it was a perfect for me! I will be staying again in the future as I drive through that area for business.

Pros: The young lady at the front desk told me there was no reservation under my booking confirmation number when I arrived. I was very surprised because had never met such kind of situation in all my past reservations with booking.com. I showed her my passport and my husband's as well and she insisted there was no any booking under my name. My husband's name appeared in the system but the confirmation number showed incorrect. I couldn't figure out what is the actual situation and had to call booking.com. Finally it was solved but took us quite long time after our early drive from New York. Anyway the amenities meet what we expect. Will stay there again for sure.

Pros: I was able to throw my son a little pool party & noone bothered us or anything. The pool was very clean.
Cons: I dont have any complain
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Closest hotel to my sister's house.
Cons: The bed has a comforter, but I'd prefer several blankets so that I can add or remove layers myself. The sofa in my room was not comfortable. I think it was a futon.
7.1 Good
Pros: There was indoor pool and a big dining area for the free breakfast.
Cons: The pool wasn’t heated, and the lock on the door to get to the pool was broken. The staff at the front was snarky when I asked for help opening it. Initially, my room key card was de-magnetized, and I thought that’s why I couldn’t get into the pool area. I went to the front and told her, expecting to get a new key card, but rather than giving me a new one, she walked me to the pool without saying a word and opened it. When I tried explaining that my keycard wasn’t working, she rudely said, “Yeah.... the doors broken.” She dismissed my other issue, which was that my key card was de-magnetized. AND... when she was trying to let me in, another guest already in the pool area kindly got up to open the door, and the staff snapped, “I’m trying to fix the door.” She didn’t say thanks or sorry. She wanted it known that she was agitated. Be sure to observe your staff on how they interact with guests. If they’re not warm and friendly, they shouldn’t be working for you.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: The remote didn''t work, no pillows for the sofa bed. Wouldnt guarantee a pack &play. The guests are the worst I have ever seen. They let their unruly children run all over the place. Had to call the front desk twice to complain about the noise.

Pros: We made reservations based on limited info and were expecting the bare minimum. The Farmington Inn really "wowed" us in every regard. The comfortable bed and the easily controllable temperature in the room were notably impressive.
Cons: While the breakfast environment was lovely, it was laid out awkwardly. Also would have liked to see less plastic one-use utensils, etc.

Pros: I made my reservation with Kayak and advised that I wouldn’t be getting to the hotel until about 1:00-am. Kayak made my reservation, sent me my itinerary & confirmation email and took the payment fro my bank account. I got to the hotel just before 2-am after driving for 18 hours. The hotel advised that they were full and had no rooms. I showed them my Kayak email confirmation and they repeated that they were full and had no rooms. They told me to take it up with Kayak.
Cons: This is exactly why people shouldn’t use services like Kayak. I ended up sleeping in my car and getting a room elsewhere the next morning. When I get back from this trip I’m going to post my experience everywhere and make certain everyone knows what a nightmare it is when you count on Kayak.

Cons: Not sure the property is well-managed. Housekeeping missed our room one day. By the time we returned at 8 pm, everyone had left. Front desk offered us the room next door as a solution. While we were satisfied with that option, we would have been happier had our room just been cleaned as it should have been. Also, one elevator was not working nor was the ice maker on our floor.

Pros: Excellent property. Really nice king size bed. Great shower. Freezer/refrigerator and hot water option in bathroom for tea. Extremely reasonable for Cheshire
Cons: Everything was excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I think this is the only lodging in Cheshire. Even with limited choices, the owners have upgraded the rooms with a number of thoughtful touches: microwave and fridge, ironing board, plenty of bathroom shelf space for your toiletries. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable, and the mattresses are comfortable. Maybe 4-5 minutes from the center of town. There is a supermarket and liquor/wine shop just up the road. Peter’s II, a small cafe next door, opens daily at 6:00 am, and serves good, strong coffee with their delicious home made breakfasts. Service is friendly and fast.
Cons: The outside lighting at night is shockingly bright. Keep the curtains closed tightly!

7.1 Good
Pros: Have stayed here before. Right off the hwy. Rates reasonable. Room quiet and comfortable. Ice machine on 2nd floor.
Cons: Since I stayed here a couple of years ago, place has seen a lot of wear and tear. Many rooms being renovated or under construction. Seems to be a popular place with children's soccer teams. Breakfast ok - crowded and messy, however, no forks. Got there on Sunday morning at 845am and they said they ran out of forks. Was funny to see lots of folks trying to cut a sausage patty or eat an omelet with a spoon. Did have a strange experience with the woman at front desk. Very hostile and unprofessional. Checked in and got my room key at about 9pm without a problem. However, when I came down at midnight to buy a bag of chips and an ice cream from the lobby store, another women was at the front desk (don't know her name but she said she started her shift at 11pm on Sat night 11/2). I gave her my room number (#217) to charge it to my room and she said very rudely, "Sir, there is no one in that room." Like I was trying to scam a bag of chips. I said, "No, I'm in the room and have been there since 9pm, when I checked in." She repeated, "sir, no one is in that room. That room is vacant." I told her, "I don't know what to tell you, but here is my room key and I am in 217." This went on for a couple of minutes. We looked up my name, she told me "You're not checked in." She asked me "how I got my room key." Nuts. I finally started laughing and said, I'm going up to my room, be sure to charge these items to my bill" and left. Not sure what was going on with their computers but she could have been a lot friendlier and professional while trying to figure it out. Rude, rude, rude.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A very good value for the price paid. Good continental breakfast in the morning. The pancake maker was a nice touch! Even though I was right near the elevators, the room was pretty quiet.
Cons: The room setup was kind of oddly configured. There was no hangers other than those in a drawer. Lots of wasted space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First impression was how NEW FRESH AND VERY CLEAN the property was. But what I was most grateful and impressed with was the staff who did all she could to assist us when there was a mix up in our reservation. She did all she could to reassure us and fix the problem. Could not ask for anything more!

Cons: Hotel was littered with people smoking marijuana inside. We needed to be moved at 2am because it was soo bad.
