Convenient location I booked 3 rooms, when we entered our room, there was no power (electricity) in the room. there were no other rooms available, had to stay with one of the couples in one of the other rooms I had booked. In that room, the air-conditioning didn't work. Thankfully it was only one night.
I was traveling with a college club sports team so we had 7 rooms reserved and the lady at the desk when I checked in was super helpful even though she had to put my information in 7 times, once for each room we had reserved.
I usually stay at a Hilton or a Hyatt or some other major hotel chain. I picked this Super 8 because it was less than a mile from my mom's place, and I wanted to be close to her. The price was good, but I was a little worried about booking it based on some of the ratings on various websites, but I took a chance anyway. I was not disappointed. For $50 a night, I don't expect the same amenities as a major hotel chain location. The bed might not have been a pillow-top mattress with 400 count thread sheets, but it was comfortable and clean. he complimentary breakfast buffet might not have had Eggs Benedict or spinach and ham omelettes, but the food that was available was good. The room was a bit out-dated, but it had a flat-screen television with several dozen channels including HBO. Staff was polite and helpful. Room was clean. Food was good. Thank you.
+breakfast included Storm had affected the internet connection
Spacious room.had everything one needs for an overnight stay.good breakfast. Location..30 mins drive from cleveland downtown where i had work but i had to save money too so i chose to stay far outside.bathtub needed a little work.and place is good if ur on a stiff budget else good to stay close or in the town.
Convenient to restaurants and highway, very friendly staff, nice clean room Bed was broken, had to move carefully otherwise it would see-saw
This was my second stay at this hotel. I intentionally booked here again because my first experience was a good one. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel is older but well kept. It's close enough to get to Cleveland in a short amount of time and far enough away from the big city hustle and bustle. I liked it all. Good value for the price.
I liked the fact that it was only $35 to stay a night. we booked through expedia/kayak and booked a smoking room and got a nom smoking. The pictures said there was a jacuzzi tub in the room and there wasn't. They definitely stole the pictures from another hotel. We asked to be moved into a smoking room and they had no rooms available. We didnt want to stay and by then we had already checked in so i knew we were going to have to pay for one night but they didnt want to refund us at all! they wanted us to still pay for the whole visit which was 3 days 3 nights. We spent 3 hours on the phone with expedia/kayak customer service and the first representative didn't want to refund us anything and we had to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was able to refund us about $180 and give us a discount off the night we stay but we had to check out the next morning. there were no other smoking rooms available at any other hotel around super 8. We had to cut out vacation short. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
The room was disgusting and they weren't very helpful or accommodating!
The staffer at the reception desk was accomodating and courteous with a "how can make your stay better?" attitude. The rooms were clean, cozy and well kept. I plan to stay at this location on my next trip and most definitely would reccomend to others.
Easy to find, good value, clean towels, reasonable wifi. Tub needed recoating, stairwells needed painting, floor was dirty.
the WiFi worked good, the room was clean, they are trying hard to bring this motel up to better than a 1 star rating. they need a better vending machine and ice machine area and they don't have hair blowers.
The motel was great for the amount we paid. Most uncomfortable bed that i have ever slept in. The motel could use some upgrades. I laughed out loud when i saw the bed spread, that thing is straight up outta the 60's.
The room was really small the head board was busted and there was bugs crawling on the bed!!
A place to sleep . got to sleep until noon. I felt safe. People didn't bother me. No tissues. WiFi isn't free. No shampoo or conditioner ( I brought my own just trying to help others)
Cost Should be more clear and secure
I originally liked the price I was quoted only to find out later on my credit card bill I was over charged. I should have taken more time to look over but with the scene going on with the police I just wanted to get out. It gives a wacky story to tell about taking a child to college. It should have been a sign to leave when we saw the trail of blood that led to the room before ours but we stayed after a long drive to Cleveland. The room smelled like smoke in a supposedly non-smoking room and felt dirty. Not once were the sheets changed in the 3 days there nor was the trash emptied. I had to ask for clean towels but the used ones were not picked up. The tub was clogged so when you showered the water filled to ankles. From walking in the room only barefoot the bottom of our feet were so dirty. Police sirens heard throughout the night. When we checked out around 3 AM 3 police cars were in the parking lot apprehending a man who was screaming near the front desk. I have never written any review but this stay was so unbelievable I had to.
leaving. We arrived around 2AM after driving from Sandusky (we're originally from IL) and went to check in, the desk clerk (best description since it was actually the head of house keeping and she was just "coverin' someone shift") gave us our key to our room, we went to get settled and the room wasn't cleaned AT ALL, no sheets on the bed, etc. So I went back to the lobby (if that's what you want to call it) and requested a different room, this time non-smoking, as the last room was also a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking. She said "awh, I don't even know was goin' on cause you ain't the first person to tell me they room ain't clean, but we ain't got no more rooms." So I ask if maybe there was a sister motel and she said they aren't affiliated with any other motels but when they "full up" they send people down the road to another place (other motel name not included). So I try to get a refund and since my mom was the one who treated us by paying on her card (mind you, she's still in IL) and we booked online she said she, couldn't give a cash refund and she had to call booking.com to run it. She also needed the credit card number and demanded that I call and get it (again, 2AM in Ohio and 1AM in IL) I tried to call and obviously my mother was sleeping so she didn't answer (in the meantime this lady is flipping through channels on the television, acting QUITE impatient), she gave up on the refund and gave us someone else's nonsmoking room. We go to that one and it's also fairly dirty (gross hairy tub, gross hairy sheets, bedding in general not washed and the room smelled like urine). We gave up and just put our own sheets etc. on the bed and went to sleep. Between 1030 and 11AM, house keeping is rapidly POUNDING on our door, 3x in less than 30 seconds before announcing that she was coming in. My fiancé quickly got up and she asked if "we was leaving" he replied no and shut the door, 10 minutes later I step outside to the car and she's still outside the room and now asked me "ya'll leavin' yet?" We checked out 20 minutes later unable to even get a receipt apparently once again the reasoning was because we booked online. Long story longer, avoid at all costs if you want to feel clean when you stay at a hotel.
