Pros: The B&B has a charming relaxing feel to it and the innkeepers are warm and welcoming. Its location to the quaint town makes strolling the streets pleasant.
Cons: My only regret was that my on-line reservation described the $--- a night room as having a gas fireplace in it. The room (#5), did not have a fireplace. So somewhere in the reservation, the ball was dropped and I was truly disappointed about this.

Pros: The girls at check-in were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. A big plus for out of town folks.

Pros: Beautiful setting. The staff was very welcoming but not intrusive. Guests were made welcome with complimentary wine and spirits. Coffee always available. Lots of games, binoculars, birding books, etc. Tasty breakfast.
Cons: Breakfast is at 9, a little late for early risers. Decorating a little country for our taste, but spaces were large and comfortable.
Antietam Overlook Farm is a great choice for a stay in Keedysville. Guests can enjoy the spa tub, along with onsite hiking/biking trails, horse riding/rentals, and rowing/canoeing. Rooms offer fireplaces and free WiFi.
The main house is located on a limestone bed and has 8 levels, very charming. We'd expect that the other guest rooms are in better condition than the one we had (we booked last minute). We were happy with the couples massage we received at the spa.
Pros: The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed reading in the Adirondak chairs on the lawn. We lucked out and had excellent weather. Breakfast and dinner were very good.
Cons: The room we stayed in, Locke's Nest, needs to be upgraded. The furniture is in very poor condition. Internet access is poor. The shower pressure is poor. The decor/furnishings in the common areas were not what we would expect for what we paid either.
Hillbrook Inn is a great choice for a stay in Charles Town. You can be pampered with spa services, then unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. A terrace and a garden are offered, and rooms at this romantic bed & breakfast get the details right with jetted tubs and premium bedding.
Pros: My mother and I were in town to visit with and elderly and unwell family member. Accommodations at your hotel were perfectly suited for this occasion.
The entire staff were friendly and helpful. I would like to make a special note stating that Alan, the maintenance person, was especially kind and compassionate. Firstly, noticing that my elderly mother was about to walk down a recently mopped floor, he quickly walked over, offered his sturdy arm for support and escorted her so that she did not fall. It was so kind and helpful. He checked in on us a few times to ensure that we had all we needed. Additionally, Bill at the front desk made us feel very welcome after a long and emotional day. We decided to eat our dinner in the lobby, in front of the fireplace. He was very helpful and friendly.
The staff at this particular hotel were wonderful. We thank you.
Cons: My mother and I cannot eat gluten. We would like to suggest the addition of perhaps some gluten free breakfast choices. For example, gf cereal and gf bread. Otherwise, breakfast was sufficient.

Pros: The hotel staff demonstrated the traits that all individuals in hospitality should show. They were friendly, caring and helpful. Any issues that did arise were resolved immediately. Truly a wonderful hotel that we plan on staying at next time we're in Frederick.
Pros: Everything about my stay was great. Clean rooms, close to a lot of restaurants and activities.
Cons: I'm 20 years old, and I didn't know it would be an issue checking in. I was still allowed to check in, even though I wasn't 21, but I would have liked to know this ahead of time. Not a huge deal, and it didn't ruin my trip in any way, but if I wasn't allowed to check in it would have.

Cons: Arrived late for check-in and despite notifying the desk that we would be there at that time they were genuinely surprised to have us walk in at 8:30pm. To make matters worse, because we booked through a third party site via kayak, they had no record of our booking. We were told that those bookings come through their email and the manager checks the email but the manager is away. The two front desk employees both stated they were capable of checking the email but yet no one does so while the manager is away? While one of them started to search through what she said out loud was "hundreds of emails" to find the reservation, the other started checking us in. Asking if we were possibly at the wrong hotel and questioning why we were so late (we drove from 4+ hours away and sat in multiple traffic delays) before slowly entering the info into the computer. When we asked her if the restaurant was still open she said no. When we asked her if there were other places we could go to eat, even if it meant driving a bit, we would, as it was our anniversary--she responded by suggesting that we order dominos, "they have good pasta bowls." For our anniversary? I mean, I get that we were late and in a small town things will be closed, but, that seems like a last resort option. Finally, the person checking the emails finds our reservation (and the request to have chocolate covered strawberries added to our room) and says there won't be any strawberries in our room (no surprise there).
There was no attempt to rectify the situation and the fact that it took over 20 minutes to check us in because no one checks the email, or that they were notified of our late arrival and still didn't have the room request ready, or that they were aware we were patronizing their hotel for a special occasion and they only served to make the day spent in traffic even more annoying by offering a room upgrade, refund, dining certificate...or even apologizing for any of the above! They were oblivious and had I paid for a one star hotel, none of this would have mattered but at over $250/night in the middle of no where, this place functioned horrifically.
Add to that terrible food for room service breakfast and a broken jacuzzi bath and the experience was overall awful. Would not stay there again, and clearly, do not recommend it.
Pros: The food was amazing. The location was perfect. Lots to see and do in the vicinity.
Cons: The rooms were very old. The pink tub and shower are in desperate need of an update.
Cons: Coffee was weak. Coffee is crucial. Room service coffee was worse. Bringing your own coffee would be good advice, if you care about coffee.
Some finishes were run down-tub surrounds, carpets.
Adjacent to a golf course, Bavarian Inn is a great choice for a stay in Shepherdstown. After splashing around at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the pool bar. Other features include a health club, an outdoor tennis court, and a seasonal outdoor pool.
Cons: The house keeping staff has to improve cleaning of the bathrooms and pool showers.
Pros: Breakfast buffet was excellent, except our waiter was kind of forgetful. Fireside nook in lobby was an excellent place to have a drink or chat with friends. Staff tried really hard. Towels were okay. Bath products weren't bad.
Cons: The place is mid-renovation. Most of it looks dated and bland. The hall we stayed on didn't have that problem, but it did smell very strongly of glue (carpet or wallpaper I'm not sure). Our room also had a strong and unpleasant odor. The sheets were very uncomfortable, and the duvet was covered in a flat sheet top-and-bottom which ironically made it much less soft to the touch. Walking around the hotel felt like walking through a combination community college and office building. Probably the least inviting building I've seen for a "luxury resort" ever. Spa lacks surge capacity to accommodate walk-in guests during a busy weekend. Breakfast shuts down on weekends before brunch hours, and even with three other restaurants (total of 4 on the property), none of them serve brunch foods on a Sunday after 11am. Unfortunately this resort isn't close to anything, so if they don't serve brunch in the building, you can't get brunch without a 15+ minute drive. Staff tried hard, but the place gives them nothing to work with. If you're not a golfer or planning a conference, avoid this place. This is not a good resort for a luxurious or romantic weekend.
Cons: Resort is nice but in need of cosmetic facelift.
Pros: Room service breakfast was delicious, minus the fried unseasoned potatoes. Bed was soft and comfortable.
Cons: Carpet and furniture are dated. Bathroom floor looked dark and dirty.
Pros: Pool and spa was really nice my husband loved the golf course
Cons: Terrible food and service... DID NOT GET MUCH SLEEP AT ALL!!! poorly insulated rooms!

Pros: Very nice overall, staff was helpful and friendly. Short on vegetarian options, but they made me something I could eat. Nice (outdoor) poolside and courtyard.Close to outlet shopping, great bike/walk trail.
Cons: TV was on too much for my taste in the lobby, so it was not as relaxing a spot as it might have been, for quiet reading.
Pros: Welcoming space. Friendly and super helpful staff. Spacious room.
Clean, well laid out, fine meals for breakfast.
Pros: All of the staff went out of their way to help!
Very convenient to the outlets and Cobb Center. Quiet property and very well appointed.
Pros: The staff was inviting and very informative.
This was one of ten hotels that we used whilst touring over three weeks down the east coast. Taking everything into account this was the best stay of all taking into account best value for our dollars.
Pros: It was a quiet hotel that was ideal. The staff were professional and very polite and helpful. Our room was excellent and spacious. Quality exuded throughout. A delight to stay here.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated and large. The continental breakfast is one of the best anywhere.
Pros: Nicely decorated, very clean. Staff was very nice and friendly. Rooms are large and comfortable.
Cons: Overall a very nice hotel, but I would recommend curtains that close to block out the parking lot lighting.

Cons: The air conditioner did not work well. Room was on warmer side even though air was as low as could go
Pros: I enjoyed the clean room, number of towels they provided. In addition breakfast was great and staff friendly.
Pros: The location was great. We were able to walk to everything from food to shopping.
Cons: The night staff wasn't very knowledgeable of the area which is a problem when you're trying to find a place to eat or at least somewhere that will deliver.
Pros: The front desk was amazing and the help staff were awesome! Very helpful and willing to listen to problems. Beds and pillows were comfy and the lo action is relatively close to downtown.
Cons: Roomed looked like an older version of what the pics showed in kayak.
Pros: bed, shower, sound insulation, wifi, climate-control, endless suburban mall all around, free coffee/tea in the lobby at all times.
Cons: rare pokemon all around - none in the hotel!!
the free cookies in the lobby are quite terrible.
that's all the bad things I can think of!!
Cons: Having stayed in 3 different Country Inns and Suites this week alone, the Frederick location was the most expensive and least satisfying. The room was 1/2 to 2/3 the size of other locations. There was minimal room to have luggage out and space to set up the iron board. The refrigerator was smaller, missing wire shelves, and no ice box. The Sleep Inn right down the street is 20% cheaper.
Pros: Room was nice.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't good. Coffee was bad. Eggs and sausage were cold. We grabbed 2 bagels and both were MOLDY!
Pros: Everything I need was right there didn't have to ask for anything.
Pros: Price was right. Seemed clean.
Cons: You could tell that the nonsmoking room had been smoked in before.
Pros: Friendly, courteous, helpful, great value for the money, complete breakfast and forever coffee and cookies (super). Looking for other Country Inns to visit!
Cons: Not a d*#@ed thing!
Pros: Manager Lee was very kind when I requested to switch room because of noise of air condition unit. She provide the good room for our family.
Manger Chris was great as well. My family and I enjoyed staying at the hotel.
Breakfast was good.
Pros: Value for price is the thing here. Comparatively closer to a Hampton Inn than a Motel 6.
Cons: Internet connectivity.

Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and hot/cold buffet breakfast on weekdays between 6 AM and 9:30 AM. Pros: Clean and convenient to highway and shopping.
Pros: It's a nice clean hotel with a nice little breakfast area
Cons: TV did not work I called front desk. The lady was nice she told me she was coming up to check on it. hours went by she called around 9 I was sleep she said she forgot. So I payed --- for no tv and the plug next to my bed on the lamp didn't work either
Pros: Location was decent, breakfast was good.
Cons: Very disappointed to see that the hotel had no hot tub even though it advertised as having one. I booked the hotel based on the hot tub and pool as I have a bad back and don't have an opportunity to use a hot tub often. I would have booked another hotel.
Pros: The breakfast was great. The room was pretty nice. The staff was nice.
Cons: The bed mattress was a little hard. The TV remote had no batteries. The thermostat for the heater was way off and the room tended to be too hot - we had to put on a/c to get it down to an OK temperature.
Pros: Breakfast variety and staff responsiveness
Pros: clean, very professional staff
Pros: This hotel was by far the nicest of our trip. The cleanliness, color scheme throughout, superb breakfast, and, most importantly, the genuine friendliness of all we came in contact with, were special. Should be a three star. Many thanks for having us
Pros: I liked the location...
Cons: I didn't like the fact that after I checked in they kept calling my room and harassing my children for a 20$ essential fee, that was in fact swiped at time of check in... I was told that the girls was new but yet asked for it again by the lady in charge
Pros: Clean.Close to shopping and restaurants.Breakfast we reasonable.I didn't use the fitness center or the pool so I can't comment on them.
Cons: There wasn't anything that disappointed me.
This hotel has employees who have not been properly trained. The manager was never in or atleast that is what i was always told. Besides the mess up with the extra $110 charge everything else was fine when it came to the actual room, but my boyfriend was concerned how he never received his $46 incidental fee and its been over a week since we last stayed. We were also confused about the difference in how they determine the incidental charge.
Cons: I had a terrible experience at this hotel my credit card was charged an additional $110 along with the $40 incidental fee that i was aware of, The additional $110 was a mistake the guy who checked me in made. I spent vday stressing over money i need
Pros: The staff was very nice & helpful. The Breakfast buffet was great.
