Drop off was very hectic. First time to Huoston airport. Tried to return the car quickly as I had a flight to catch . Couldn't locate budget easily. It took me 40 minutes to figure out where exactly they were. I wish if there were clear instruction of their drop off location rather than the address they provided which accommodates dozen more rental brands. However , pickup in Austin was hassle free and exceptional.Reviewed May 14 2026

Van was not ready cause of a smell they were trying to air out. 30 minutes later the van was still not there. So it must be an awful smell and I booked the van a month ahead. GReviewed May 14 2026

We waited in line for over an hour... there was 1 customer service agent and about 30 people in line. We reserved an intermediate SUV but were given a compact SUV, then told the compact SUV was in the same category as the intermediate. The reason I reserved the intermediate SUV is because I need a blindspot indicator and that is something that has always come standard with an intermediate SUV. The compact SUV category does not have this. Anyway, I tried to get a different car and they refused. The customer service agents were unhelpful. I called Avis, who acquired Budget and they basically told me to get lost over the phone. It was a disappointing experience to say the least so I won't be renting from Budget/Avis again if I can help it.Reviewed May 13 2026

The staff was absolutely terrific. The type of vehicle we needed was not available(exposition)The staff upgraded the reservation to get us a bigger Van to comfortably accommodate 5 adults a baby all the extra luggage.Reviewed May 13 2026

The car and rental was good.. upon returning the car i had some pictures of some slight damage. U couldn’t see it very good in the pictures cause of the sun. It seemed to me the girl checking the car thought i did some very minor scrapes. I guess i will see when they take the payment off of my750.00 deposit. I asked if i needed to sign anything and she said no that i could go with no paperwork. I thought that it was odd. So i hope all goes well. The car was great. My friend had the car reservation. Car broke down and 2 women stranded on the highway. Budget wouldn't help us. Finally police officer helped us after we were left on side of major hwy 1.5 hrs.Reviewed May 13 2026

I was cheated on fuel. The car was given to me about half full. The GMC Denali doesn’t have a standard fuel gauge but miles till empty. I returned the car full and the agent promised me a $50.00 credit which I did not receive.Reviewed May 12 2026
