What a great experience. Our flight was 3 hours late, so I called ahead to say we would be arriving shortly after closing hours and ask for assistance. The Budget counter stayed open for us and for others on the same plane. We sat next to a woman on the plane who had called a different rental agency and been told no, if she didn't arrive on time, no car. THe woman who checked me in was great (at the counter in the Colorado Springs airport). Offered me an upgrade and explained insurance. She was great! I got to the car and half the drivers seat was busted on the side. I drove to the kiosk in the parking lot and that woman was RUDE AS H*LL. I asked where i can have it documented about the seat so i didn't get blamed for it. She told me to take a picture. I questioned the validity of that response and she acted like I was dumb saying, "It date/time stamped". I asked her to document in my reservation, she declined. I asked for a business card she said she had none. I asked her name and for a pc of paper and pen. She told me her name but didn't come forward with the pen/paper. I saw a yellow sticky note right inside the window so grabbed it and wrote her name down with MY pen from my purse. THat woman NEEDS TO GO! I would have thought she would have asked if i want a different car - no offer made...and I wouldn't have taken it, just wanted it documented that the drives seat was coming apart (the plastics). Mind you I had a 17 hr drive ahead of me. I still love ya, Budget - just need to give that woman some customer service training please. Maybe have the check in clerk give the parking lot kiosk woman the training :)Reviewed Nov 5 2022

Beware. About a week after our return we received a letter igniting we would be charged $450 because the exterior of the car was too dirty. $450 to wash a car???? We were caught in rain and drove on a dusty gravel road. The Jeep was a 4x4. The interior of the car was returned in spotless condition. There was no damage to the exterior, etc. It was dirty. The vehicle was not fully cleaned. There was dust and dirt 1/2 inch deep at the rear entry. The front window was streaked with something on the inside and outside that required serious effort to remove. There was no owner's manual in the vehicle, you had to figure out the controls on the console and on the steering column by trial and error. The serious FM function of the radio was not activated at initial delivery. The option was not offered at pickup.Reviewed Aug 30 2022

I loved the quick check in, excellent super quick drop off in fact. Proximity to airport excellent. Car was OK - acceptable for sure. It was not 100% clean - felt like it had dirty rag marks on the dash, etc. Otherwise fine.Reviewed Apr 18 2022

I called about changing my dropoff location from Colorado Springs to Denver International, and inquired about pricing. I was told and I quote "changing your dropoff location is not a problem. They can change it in the computer when you pick the car up." After an hour drive, I go to pick up the car and the lady at the desk tells me there will be a two thousand dollar charge to change the drop off location. I explain to her what Budget customer service told me and that there must be a mistake on her end, to which she replied "It's not a problem, it's two thousand dollars." Then I called the customer service number again and the guy on the phone told me the same thing... the EXACT same wording...It's not a problem. Then he told me he didn't have a supervisor that I could talk to. Unbelievably rude and unprofessional staff in person and on the phone. I picked up the vehicle for a long trip and brought it home only to find out that there was no windshield wiper fluid, steering fluid was very low, tire pressure was not correct or balanced, and the oil needed to be topped off. The location (Colorado Springs Airport) for the pick is not convenient for those with disabilities. It is a very long walk from the terminal out to the rental cars. The vehicle was clean and did not smell of smoke, food, or chemicals.Reviewed Jan 23 2022
