Horrible horrible horrible. They gave me a broken car, and it took them half an hour to swap it. I asked for an extension accordingly (just the 30min), and was harassed by both of the agents at the site - even while one was helping another customer! Before returning the car, I filled up with a full tank of gas outside of the JFK Airport. When car was returned, the gas odometer pointed to the full level but no one really came to check it. Only after I received the receipt afterwards, it said the gas tank was 13.4 gallon and when they gave me the car it was 14 gallon. So they charged almost $6 based on their rate of almost $10/gallon. I think this is a ripped off. Budget just wants to make extra bucks here and there. When I first got into the car, the dashboard showed what's in the tank cam still drive about 525 miles. After I filled up and returned the car, it showed the gas can drive 541 miles, which means I returned with actually more gas than when I got the car. Never rent from Budget again.Reviewed Dec 19 2022

There was a chunk of the tire missing when we went to pick it up. We drove 13hrs and the rotors and brakes were in terrible condition and the tires had no tread. The wheel would shake when trying to stop. Very upset budget couldn’t take the time to look over brakes and rotors before customers came to pick the car up. I had a drop-off time scheduled for 7 PM, and they failed to warn me that the drop-off location closed at 6 PM. When I called them, they informed me that if I didn't make it in by 6 PM and had to use the drop-off box to leave the car, I'd be charged another day. Therefore, at the last minute, I had to rush to get the car in before closing time because they failed to inform me of this information.Reviewed May 8 2022
