Worst experience of my life while renting a car. The staff at the counter was rude and misleading about insurance information. We had such a bad experience that we ended up cancelling the reservervation and charged a penalty as they cancelled the booking an hour later than the pick up time. On one of the busiest holiday weekends (12/27), at one of the busiest airports in the nation (Newarl) there were 12 desks available to help Budget customers, and only one of them was staffed with a human being. The wait to pick up the rental car was 2 hours. Never again, Budget.Reviewed Jan 2 2026
