We were probably the only English people there but the staff were so friendly and helped as much as they could with the slight difficultly of us not been any good at Spanish!! Stunning location, stunning hotel and friendly staff and people! The breakfast fills you up for the whole day.

Pros: Everything was more than expected, the view, location, parking, staff, restaurant services, maids, etc.
Cons: Only that we could not stay longer!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and amazing views
Cons: Room too warm and difficult to cool down
7.5 Good
Pros: The localization
Cons: No bottle of water... too much carpet on the floor.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We travel all over Spain and what we value is cleanliness and a peaceful nights sleep after the hectic days rushing around trying to see everything. This hotel meets those requirements. We have paid £100 a night in numerous hotels elsewhere and regretted it. This is more expensive at £150 a night but its so worth it. Quality costs money. We don't usually have breakfast in hotels. A tostada and coffee is all that we want. One of the things that we love about this hotel is that it has a very cheap cafe where you can have as much or as little as you want for breakfast. We spend a long time waiting for lifts in a lot of hotels and end up walking - not here. The hotel has 10 floors but the lift service is great.
Cons: -

Cons: Price!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and lovely hotel
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel across from a long, beautiful beach is perfect. There is a walkway along the water that stretches for kilometers. There are buses every five minutes that go from a stop by the hotel into the center of the city in 10 minutes or less. The rooms were not big, but very comfortable and the bathrooms are immaculate. A big surprise for us was the restaurant. We arrived Sunday night after a long day of travel and decided to eat at the hotel. The food was excellent, although there were few people in the restaurant. The 25 euro menu included three full courses of your choice, mineral water and wine — a full bottle for the two of us. In fact, it was a bit too much food for us, but ala carte options were also available. We’d stay at this hotel again if we were in Santander.
Cons: I’m not a fan of the long pillows they have in Spain. Would prefer two smaller ones.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, ultra modern interior, older restored exterior
Cons: A little expensive for no sea view

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, location, the view from the bedroom balcony is amazing.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very classy and elegant, with nice amenities and views over the city and harbor. The clientele is snubby and mostly over 60. The service is very good, at par with the facilities.
Cons: Most of the clientele is obnoxious, smoking, loud and pretentious. The management doesn't seem to be interested in controlling unruly behavior, such as parked private cars right in front of the main entrance of the hotel, or smoking right at the entrance of the restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Splendid decor
Cons: The walk into town
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very large and nice. We also had a balcony that looked out onto the sea. The hotel itself was beautiful - looked like it was a grand hotel from the 1920s. It was also located in a very nice area and parking was free.
Cons: I was surprised that there were not better amenities for guests. There is a spa with a pool, but it was an extra fee and required making a reservation. I would have thought that due to the 5-star rating, there would be some extra perks. Also, the downstairs restaurant was very expensive - €5 for a small bottle of Coca Cola.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location , very helpful & welcoming staff, from the hotel manager all the way to every staff member..
Cons: Pillows are not the best , nor is the Coffee . Shall an espresso machine be one of the room amenities it would be super
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very Classic and has beautiful decorations
Cons: To go to the beach you need to walk a lot, and it’s better to go walking than by car because there’s not much parking

Cons: It is an old building however it is very well maintained and clean

Suite Home Sardinero - Santander - Building
7
9.0 Excellent (1,435 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Suite Home Sardinero in Santander, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Gran Casino del Sardinero and Palacio de la Magdalena. Featured amenities include luggage storage and an elevator (lift).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Small room but ok for one person for one night to catch a ferry to UK. A good Continental breakfast buffer. Good coffee.
Cons: Seemed soulless and out of the way. Street parking was ok.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is an excellent hotel. The quality of the whole place is very classy. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome. The room was large, spotlessly clean, bright and very comfortable. There is a hot drinks maker in the lounge area just outside of the room. The continental breakfast was top class with a great selection of cold meats, cheese, breads, pastries, fruit, juices and hot drinks. This is a cracking little hotel just a very short walk from some nice eating places and the beach.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like about this hotel!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Continental Breakfast was extremely good -- both quality and range of what was on offer. Nice coffee. There is also coffee available all day in the lounge/breakfast room. The facilities in the bedroom were very modern with a very well equipped bathroom. But the bedroom is smaller than we expected. We did learn that the accommodation was close to a main bus hub/interchange and once we were told the various buses which brought one into the city centre and, in particular, to connect with the airport bus, we managed to make good use of this Bus hub/interchange over our two days in Santander. Jorge , the owner, is extremely friendly and has very fluent English and did provide useful information -- and an umbrella brolly for use during our stay as the weather was very wet and downcast! All staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bedroom was smaller than we expected - perhaps photographs taken for booking.com were too complimentary? While the location was relatively close to the beach, it was at the western end of the beach and a good distance from the restaurants in Plaza de Italia and Calle de Joaquin Costa. We have stayed at the Plaza de Italia end of the seafront on several occasions in the past and would probably go back to that area when we next visit Santander.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and nice place. Unli coffee. :)
Cons: No parking but we were warned and there were available in front.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Was nice area nice management brilliant shower good hot hot chocolate best vending coffee machine I have come across management let us check in after hours with no extra charge which was great
Cons: Payed for a suite for two people and the picture showed living room but we didn't have one and a double bed was available instead of twin or sofa bed out but maybe I was thinking of somewhere different
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Great shower. Nice bathroom. Good towels and linen. Beds were comfortable if a bit too tightly arranged.
Cons: I didn't really like the general area of the hotel...and it was a little far from the tourist areas. The room was small, with limited space for luggage and personal items. No breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the room was spotless clean and the bathroom and shower were perfect. There was ac. The host was soo friendly and very helpful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close walk to major attractions and beach. Staff called ahead of time given our late check-in with instructions. Check-out super easy

Santander Central Hostel - Santander - Building
9
8.9 Excellent (714 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hostel, super friendly staff and great facilities. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is clean and there is a very nice common area where you can cook and chill. The location is good as well as it is not too much in the centre, but close enough to walk from, and it's right next to the bus station.
Cons: The girls in my room were very noisy and I could barely sleep, also a lot of noise from the road.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so friendly and helpful! The hostel is in a great spot and it's definitely the place to stay in Santander. The common room is warm and welcoming and each bed has their own outlet and locker service is included. The extra fees for towels and breakfast are donated to the local schools.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Smiling staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such lovely and accommodating staff! Comfy beds, great common room. Amazing location! Lots of flyers and resources to help you plan your time in Santander. Right next to supermarket Lupa. Super convenient!
Cons: Feels like quite a lot having 16 in one room, especially when everyone's damp clothes/things are drying (doesn't smell nice!)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the location near the bus station, bay area, and within reach of city centre; the extreme dedication of the staff to maintain cleanliness and orderliness to all parts of the hostel - kitchen, rooms and bathrooms included; the availability of tourism information material; no need to provide padlock for the lockers - keys are provided by the hostel; the cheerfulness and dedication to customer service of the personnel; very-well equipped kitchen., muchas gracias!
Cons: toilets and showers could be a little bit crowded especially during peak season; more could probably done to encourage solo travellers to get to know and interact together; the area after the stairs onto the hostel appears to have too dim, would definitely help a lot if a brighter lamp can be installed;
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well organised..great staff... catered and welcomed everyone
Cons: I couldn't stay any longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hvaing stayed there previously, I was very confident in my selection before I went to Santander. The place is very well kept, and those who work there do so in a very professional manner; greeting me upon arrival and helping me with all my questions and queries. Combined with the area itself it made for a great holiday experience, as I could return to the hostel without much issue and know the hostel would be quiet at night. A fantastic stay, I would most certainly recommend. Thanks!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean dormitory and bathrooms
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It has a great common area
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The common area was super chill with fun people and great staff! (The lady in particular taught me a bit if Spanish, which was amazing!)
Cons: The breakfast was lackluster for costing extra. I've been in hostels where it didn't cost extra and was better. At least some veggies (tomatoes, cucumber) would have been extremely appreciated. Cheese too.

Pros: Has to be seen to be believed. The Landlady trying hard to speak English, don't get to the Port and realise your Passports still in her photocopy machine lol. Good job only 10 mins from port.
Cons: I think for the price the Landlady should consider breakfast included.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was really comfy with good quality sheets. The hotel was signposted when we got closer making it easy to find and has the most amazing views to wake up to! We had a room with a jacuzzi bath making our one night stay feel even more luxurious. The staff were lovely and helpful during our stay.
Cons: We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the public car park behind the hotel was full and it wasn’t clear where else it would be ok to park as the area is residential. We quickly found a space in a marked bay to use a few roads away to use.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: In no particular order but all important- location, style, parking, staff, village proximity
Cons: Bar stock - no wine or local beer.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist was helpful on check-in although didn't seem to have much knowledge of the local area, in particular places to eat so we struggled a bit to find somewhere on our first night. The rooms are lovely, spacious although limited storage space if you were staying for more than a few days. We didn't have dinner or breakfast so no idea if it was good or not. It's in a very quiet area although I had to close my windows due to a nearby dog barking all night long which made the room a bit too warm to sleep.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very old world hotel with matching furnishings but very comfortable. Room had two large balconies which were good for sitting out. The one staff member on at night was extremely helpful
Cons: Very difficult to locate hotel and even more so as main road was closed. Checked before hand to see if hotel had restaurant as this was unclear. It did not but we were reassured that there was a restaurant only 20 meters away and were subsequently directed to it. "Restaurant", although nearby, was a bit more than 20 m., was only serving drinks and looked as though it never served food but this may be the wrong impression. No other restaurants nearby but night staff very happy to arrange an "Italian takeaway meal" to be delivered to the hotel. All very good but not an ideal start to our Spanish holiday
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views are spectacular, the rooms comfortable, and the breakfast varied and delicious. It was the perfect place for us (parents and 6 month old baby) to use as a home base to explore the region. The location is really great and even if you do nothing but hang around the hotel for a few days, the fresh air, views and serenity will make you feel recharged. The staff gave us tons of information about the area as well
Cons: nothing to dislike
5.0 Okay
Pros: The courtyard was pretty. Rooms were clean and well decorated
Cons: Pool water was murky. One receptionist was good, one poor. Not much close by. Nothing apart from the attractiveness of hotel to make it stand out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really comfortable beds, nicely appointed and clean. Good breakfast, great views of The Valley, accommodating hosts, good WiFI
Cons: nothing !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was lovely and information for our stay was clear and concise. The room itself was unbelievably comfortable and spacious. The location was spectacular and although we only booked in for one night en route south, we will return and base ourselves at the hotel to explore further.
Cons: It's not that we didn't like anything, however the ability to have refreshments on arrival would be nice. We needed to travel a few kms to get ourselves some sustenance after travelling all day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel.
Cons: Difficult to find. Detailed directions from the A67 would be helpful on Booking.com

Pros: Location is close to the city centre. Good value for money.
Cons: Because of the thin walls a bit noisy in the evening when the guests are coming and going.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean. Room serves enough comfort, although for a family of four with a teenagers using the sofa-bed capacity is a bit tough. Perfect location to explore the city center, visit the port or museums. If you are looking for a place with easy access to beaches find another place towards north west of STD.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: friendly and helpful staff comfortable room Good location
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms. Ideally located for exploring Santander. Parking was an option which is a must for Santander.
Cons: Very noisy at nights. Bin lorries run until the early hours of the morning. No air con, so need windows open at night, which adds to the noise.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located room only hotel with no frills. Clean comfortable room close to bars and restaurants. There is a car park pre booking required although we ended up paying €16 locally.
Cons: Nothing to dislike for the price and convenient location.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved EVERYTHING about it! It was great value for our money, we wished we would've stayed longer. Good location close to the port and walkable to restaurants.
Cons: Nothing! Great experience :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: When first looking to book a hotel in Santander, thought that somewhere near Sardinero beach would be the best option, but in fact, Vincci Puertochico is much better placed for the bars and restaurants... and is only a short walk away from Magdalena and Bikini beaches.
Cons: Nothing negative to say about hotel as was all good. Only little thing that could be improved was the instant coffee in room!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: The air-conditioner was very basic and did not work properly. It was too cold on the warmest setting but we had to turn it off. Luckily the weather was mild.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception was fantastic, information given regarding the area. The location is fantastic the hotel is stunning and super clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice style, cleanliness, and layout. Amazing shower.
Cons: When we reserved a room and we're halfway through the booking process there was a photo of the room with a sea view through the window. This is not true. The room has no sea view but was really quite and clean
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel great staff
Cons: The bathroom in our room 403 needs replacing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in great location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is cool.. furniture and atmosphere
Cons: The noise of the water (the pump) and wait minutes for the hot water...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very warm welcoming and helpful. Room spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Pictures very deceptive. There’s no views from the rooms and no balconies. The sun terrace is their street cafe!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: 1. WIFI does NOT work. Missed deadlines! I was unable to do work because of wifi not working, missed important deadlines! 2. Every door slams so loud that sounds like bomb. 3. Smells cheap and kinda nasty. 4. Receptionists are incompetent and showed attitude instead of trying to resolve the problems related o WIFI. 5. The day I was leaving they proposed to change room. I thought it was clear expression of mocking and making fun of a customer. 5. In room 506, there is a light on the building outside near the window, which so strong that at night seems like you are the beach in front of the sun and the curtains do not help. I am not a light sleeper and I fall asleep easily, during this 4 day stay I could not sleep because of that and extremely loud door slamming. Overall experience was horrible. I flew across the globe from Los Angeles for work and due to mainly almost not working WIFI my trip was next to nothing. I feel I was robbed. This hotel does not deserve to be 4 star one.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Slightly overpriced.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: very nice, 4 star everything - top notch staff answered all our questions - helpful on our pilgrim journey - food in dining room was EXCELLENT!
Cons: Booking.com sent us to wrong address - we had to use the hotel website to app in the correct location. Frustrating, as we were on foot. Also the restaurant was not open until 8:30 for dinner. Food was wonderful, but we would’ve preferred to eat sooner. And we were too tired to walk into town to find something else. A little closer to town would’ve worked better for us. Still a great little hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Firstly, kind and professional staff. Second food, do not miss the dinner. Third, clean and comfortable roo. Forth, swimming pool in the garden.
Cons: Actually almost nothing but gps doesnt get the address of hotel (it could be the navigation problem though).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location so near to amazing beach, cleanliness , pool
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy hotel in beautiful surroundigs. Close to the Beach. Enough places to park the car. Very nice and helpful staff. Tasty dinner. I don't like that in Spain hotels do not serve vegetables for breakfast.
Cons: Hotel in the north Spain do not serve vegetables for breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good room. Lovely garden area for drinks pre -dinner. Friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant. The sound of surf from the bedroom!
Cons: Long walk for access to the beach. Information in the room said lunch available from 1 til 4.30 so we walked back from town in the heat so we could sit in the garden and eat. On arrival we were told lunch was not available as it was winter - on September 27th! The information in the room should have told us this and we were disappointed as we hadn't found anywhere in Somo that we really wanted to eat. Swimming pool so cold as to be unusable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet location, beach very close and bustling Somos not far off.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly small hotel. Ideal location for me because my family had rented an apartment along the same street and I joined them for activities and most meals.
Cons: The sloping ceiling in my room was awkward because I am tall. The tiles on the bathroom floor were dangerously slippery when wet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Hotel on the Camino. Good Value for money... Enjoyed the breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: perfectly located for the gorgeous beach. Excellent food and helpful staff
Cons: Booked a superior room with spa bath for a special treat. it was pleasant but the decor could do with updating.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is fantastic with a very nice view to the sea. One night we had dinner in the hotel and the food was very good.
Cons: Too expensive for a 3 stars hotel, only location and staff are really good. We were in the 5th floor and there was not air conditioning so the room was hot in the middle of the day
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, view
Cons: First floor rooftop leading off balcony needs attention.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from my balcony was sumptuous and the breakfast spread was good.
Cons: Fans should be in rooms automatically and the Panorama restaurant manager needs to create a more happy and enjoyable atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic room (2 balconies), we paid a small extra amount for upgrade which was well worth it. The breakfast was superb. A very good location for the ferry the following day, which completed our holiday on a high note.
Cons: Nothing
4.3 Okay
Cons: Very rude (short) head waiter, bypassed our table to check on others ,got a member of staff to do our bill etc etc All because we sat at a reserved table (no reserved sign on it) very petty and uncalled for, rest of staff very happy and polite
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was airy, roomy and very clean
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was right across from the beach and boardwalk - fantastic view. Loved walking on the boardwalk, people watching. It also had free parking which was great. The room was big and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly. Would recommend it and I would stay there again
Cons: The restaurant didn't offer dinner until 8:30. I like to eat earlier and just had to wait. The meal was good and reasonably priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was amazing for the price!
Cons: The buffet breakfast fell short. The eggs had a funny color and the assortment was not inviting.
7.5 Good
Pros: Position of hotel and view from our balcony.
Cons: Limited outdoor parking for guests, use of garage was very expensive and it had no direct access to the hotel. No complimentary bottles of water in room, no coffee/tea making facilities in room. Shower glass was dirty. We were not encouraged to book a table for dinner and when we did go down to eat, we were told they were fully booked. This is just not acceptable in a hotel. Breakfast could have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and view of the beach

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Hair drier did not work and no replacement was available as other people had obviously had the same problem. The waiter at dinner was obstructive and difficult when I asked for gluten free food. He seemed to think it was fine to tell me there was a risk of contamination of everything so I could only have a piece of unadulterated meat or fish. No attempt was made to be helpful and I had to be quite forceful. He made a mistake over the order and at first refused to back down until I got really annoyed. Breakfast was rubbish. OK it was cheap but we expected better from a hotel like this. One very tough croissant and a glass of orange juice for 4 euros. As for gluten free - well that was a joke.
6.8 Good
Pros: View from room
Cons: Room smelled like a sewer. They did spray it with something to make us smell better. But I wonder what caused the smell in the first place
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is a very well appointed hotel, though a bit expensive. Wonderful situation, overlooking beaches with sea views. An added and unexpected bonus for us were the fireworks, which display only happens once per year, and from the terrace to our room we had a ringside seat. The garage is a little awkward to access. The breakfast was poor value for money, which was a pity in such an otherwise impressive place. The staff were very helpful when through no fault of theirs we managed to trip a fuse, temporarily losing all power in the room.
Cons: Breakfast limited and unimaginative. No cooked food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were excellent, also liked location and balcony in our room
4.8 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The noise of the next door bathroom woke me up at 8 am The pictures of the rooms on the official website are not relate in some cases (like mine) with the real rooms. Really careful with this.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff very pleasant from receptionist to bar man to waiter at breakfast. Fantastic location. Convenient location for a stay the night before the
Cons: Room v small and no soundproofing between rooms. Noisy wedding. Breakfast average.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, helpful pleasant staff, clean, bright room, onsite parking.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, very eager to assist and pass on local information. A very good choice for Buffet breakfast, food very fresh and lots of fruit available. Excellent room with three large windows and good size balcony. I hadn't realised this was the room I had booked as I got a reduced rate but it was extremely pleasant. Even though the hotel is very near the promenade there was no traffic noise. Two minute walk to the beach and very near the Magdalen Peninsular. Definitely preferable to stay in this area rather than near the city.
Cons: I only ate in the restaurant one evening as the other times the Table D'hôtel was dominated by seafood.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Excellent service at the Café.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and professional.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed room
