Meal service and the friendly staff.
The entrance is through the kitchen trash area - very poor first impression. Suggest that Trenton Street be reserved for registration and car unloading with parking in the rear. There are many narrow rickety stairs - suggest that the staff be aggressive in helping your older guests move luggage to and from their rooms. The Inn is very Victorian but very cluttered - move out a lot of the clutter to make room for guests to move about both the reception and breakfast areas and the bedrooms.
It was a delightful stay; breakfast was amazing, first class. The staff was so friendly and the fact that they had beach chairs, beach towels, and bikes all in great condition, made the stay like coming home.
Location, view of ocean
Breakfast was not the standard of a bed and breakfast. Very disappointed. Facility’s needs upkeep and maintenance.
Breakfasts were terrific. Choice of three varied meals every day, full cold fruit buffet, and cereal or oatmeal if you preferred.
The bed was a little soft and the exterior needed some freshening, but it was an historic old Victorian mansion, so those tings did add to the charm to some degree.
We got married on the beach. Staff was extremely helpful for all our needs. Location was perfect. Will be coming back in the near future
Angel Of The Sea is a romantic bed and breakfast located in New Jersey's gorgeous Cape May. The hotel has stunning views of the nearby ocean thanks to the wraparound porch. The hotel itself has "gingerbread detailing", with unique style and architecture that give it a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The Angel Of The Sea shines at transporting guests into the past while simultaneously providing them all the comforts of a top-end modern hotel.
All of the rooms are uniquely appointed, with each one having its own individual look and feel. Visitors could stay here dozens of times and their room would never look the same way twice. What all the rooms do have in common is large plush beds, wooden vanities with plenty of storage and large windows that open up to beautiful Cape May vistas. If visitors want something special when they arrive. They can call ahead to have a bouquet of flowers waiting in the room like fresh roses or a collection of local flowers.
Angel Of The Sea is a bed and breakfast, which means there are plenty of opportunities for guests to experience some of the local hospitality. Every morning, visitors can indulge in a gourmet breakfast that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, coffee, and more. At 4 pm, guests can stop in for an afternoon tea with baked sweets and ant 5:30 pm Angel Of The Sea serves wine with a cheese and antipasto platter. Visitors can also borrow the hotel's bicycles to do some sightseeing as well as some beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels for when they head to the surf.
