The staff was wonderful the hotel pool and hot tub upscale. Saddly the entire place is being remodeled so it's a mess in the lobby and Monday morning right at 8 the construction noise kicked in.
Everyone very friendly & happy. Rooms spacious, had a king bed and very clean. Continental BK, good, had some healthy options. Dining area, spacious. For the price, the rooms need to have fridge along with a microwave, which we were able to use at the diningroom. We had food. The hot tub was down, would've use the pool, jr soccer team there. Easy access to restaurants, no dining. Did have fresh fruit & coffee available.
Leaving Owner was very strange asked to many personal questions and informed me no one else besides myself and wife where aloud in the room, no visitors he said. He was very creepy standing the shadows watching everything. The place looked modern in the photos howeve upon arrival the floors where staing elivator looked like it had seen its better days and the room was freezing. My advice dont book here and if you do take lots of clorox wipes and your own toilet paper, the toilet paper was like sand paper.
The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. For the cost the place was OK but if I was staying for an extended stay I wouldn't pick this place. The tile floors didn't look clean.
The check-in staff was friendly and kind to us weary travelers. It felt so good to fall into those soft clean beds! And the breakfast was delicious!
Clean, great value, comfortable and friendly staff Breakfast was....okay.
Centrally located, clean, good rate and delicious complimentary breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. No complaints, everything was great. This is our 3rd time here and we were booked 6 days and added an extra day because we just weren't ready to go home quite yet. We will be back.
Comfortable beds, good water pressure, great front desk service when I locked my key in my room. Full breakfast, hot and cold foods available. Wonderful coffee. Good service from the friendly housekeepers. The advertisement pictures of the rooms are deceiving and the advertised price was much lower than what I was charged. Parking was a little tricky, hard to keep a spot near the room.
Excellent continental breakfast and friendly staff. Dated facilities, but tastefully remodeled! A bit too close to the freeway.
Bad services Dirty sheets
Clean and comfortable with good shopping Some dirty towels but not a big deal
Extremely friendly staff and well maintained property.
Rooms are up to date and clean! Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is the best with lots of variety. It is worth the drive into the town of Medford.
The beds are super comfortable and you are close enough to walk downtown and get a few drinks Some of the staff seemed unfriendly and bothered when approached
Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast. Rooms in rear building all have balconies overlooking the Bear Creek Greenway, which boasts waterfowl, bicycling, and the occasional bum fight. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, clean, and relatively up-to-date. I have stayed here several times, usually for about a week at a time, and every time the internet was so slow it was basically worthless. Don't book here if you count on it for work like I do. A real shame; hotel is great otherwise, but I can't afford another week-long wifi blackout. Also--and this is my problem, not the hotel's--the employee who announces the breakfast scramble recipe 100 times every morning really creeps me out.
We stayed one night, booking through Kayak.com supposedly the best price but found a coupon at the rest stop for $5.00 less. The sheets were so thin you could spit through them. Old and tired is the best description. We'll miss this stop on our way home.
Beds were very comfortable, they did not charge us for a roll away, and the swimming pool was a hit. The marijuana smell coming from all areas of the parking lot, the slides should be open the entire time the pool is open
We had adjoining rooms with 2 beds in each room. Staff left one of the 4 beds not made.
Floor and sheets were dirty. Light fixtures lack adequate wattage so the room looked like a prison.
It was clean and descent accommodations. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Nice rooms and dining area. Friendly staff. Could hear everything in the next room and bathroom! When the water turned on there was a horrible screeching noise. And of course they decided to take a bath at midnight. So that was the only bad part was the noise.
It was conviently located The pillows were very full and stiff, leAving me with a link in my neck and sore back. When asked if there were any alternative pillows I was told no in a manner that showed me it was of very little importance to them. The floor that we stayed in smelled of old smoke.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. My grandson loved the pool facilities, too. (I wish they had a hot tub, though!). The staff was very friendly, and the "park and fly" service, with free parking in their lot and free shuttle to Medford Airport was so convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm flying out of Medford.
Staff was friendly Bath tub was pealing.
Computers were down during check out and it took about 20 min. to check out but other than that all was good.
The continental breakfast was probably the worst I have ever seen. They would be better off not doing it. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. I only dealt with them at check in and check out, but those two experiences took way longer than they should have considering I was the only person in line and they acted like I was a bother. I'll take my money to other hotels from now on.
The pool was fun, could have been a little warmer. The hotel is badly outdated and our non-smoking room reaked of smoke when we checked in.
The guy at the front desk and the manager were very solicitous and not defensive when we brought the motel's shortcomings to their attention. The room was cold, poorly lit, slightly grimy feeling. After all the great reviews, we were really surprised. We could not bring ourselves to stay there. Try the Homewood Suites down the street, an excellent value.
Nice flowers at office, very clean and comfortable, good exercise room, decent free breakfast. No complaints!
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was for the price and location. We have stayed in other Rodeways before and this one is by far better. Very clean, quiet, friendly staff, and carports for each room. Will definately stay here again
Staff is very friendly. Hot and cold Breakfast offering was great. Very clean. It's not right off the freeway.
Clean, updated, value for the cost, warm welcome, parking close to room, homey touch
The staff was super and friendly, the room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the carport in front of each room. I had a couple with loud voices next door but that didn't last long.
Good location for where I needed to go in town during my visit. Great value. The staff were friendly and professional, and the room (I was in a 1 king room) was clean and comfortable. Outside noise is nearly non-existent (especially considering how conveniently close it is to Interstate 5). Superb water pressure. The parking spots directly in front of the rooms aren't the most friendly to larger vehicles. While the room is great, it is a bit small. Also, while the location is good, it is on a one-way street, which can make getting back from certain places confusing and/or cumbersome to new visitors. These are minor details, however; I would definitely recommend this place, especially for the price.
Employees and owner are very friendly and make themselves available
Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking under carport in front of room was nice and it was easy access on and off the freeway. I will return.
Clean comfortable room. Great value for the price. Friendly staff
Believe the ratings. Especially for such a low price it was a very pleasant and clean room. I'll stay there again if I happen to be in the area.
staff very helpful, room and furnishings clean and neat, bed comfy had a hard time finding it. No phone # on reservation paper
Staff very helpful n friendly Carpeting needs to be replaced.
Room clean, staff friendly and vibing good spirits. Thanks! Bathroom clean enough but tiling was chipped and needs scrubbing. Allowed us to change rooms so we could have a tub, which afforded us another queen bed. "Fitness center" and pool were the primary reason we chose this place over other local hotels, but the equipment is dated and minimally functional. Old 70's style weight stack units with athletic tape covering seats rips, noisy and lacking range of motion. I think they must have raided an old YMCA for barely functioning equipment. Pool was too cold to enter, hot tub closed. The large attached sports bar was nice to escape to after a long day of driving. Mostly full of friendly locals, full of cheap beer. They did have a draught list with at least ten selections. Breakfast at the attached diner was fairly decent, typical breakfast diner food, not included in the hotel stay. Challenging to walk across a busy highway to get to the local supermarket (Fred Meyer), but there are cross walks about 0.5 miles from the hotel entrance, I would suggest driving, especially if you are toting children.
Attractive, clean and comfortable Hotel. When we entered the room at approx 11:30 pm, the toilet was constantly running trying to fill its tank. The toilet chain would catch and the toilet would fill with water in the tank often. Outside was a constant drip noise every 2-3 seconds outside our window. Sounded like a leaking faucet or rain gutter. A stair well was outside our window....sound was coming from near there. We had to run the fan overnight so we could mask the irritating noise and sleep. Called room setvice number twice with no answer or recording.
Location was good for next day travel to Crater Lake. Room was large and clean. Restaurant on-site was good. Gym equipment was worn, old, or not working. We were relegated to what can only be described as a 'basement room.'
liked the inn the staff great dinner great,,,, breakfast the staff let it wait, 13 minits to get coffee after being seated, they walked by like we strengthened not happy ten morning staff at the restaurant....
No frills, clean. Very good location for crater lake visit. Surrounded by cheaper motels and in a shady area. Two cars were broken into in the one night we stayed there. Don't leave anything in your cars.
Needs to be remodeled but was okay for price. Horrible shower head was like needles
Hotel restaurant was excellent. Good food, large portions, very friendly waitress. Also, got 50% discount coupon from hotel. With coupon, breakfast was $5.99 with coffee included. Room was not ready at 4:45 pm. We were given the keys and asked to wait 15 min. Was dirty 1/2 he later w/toilet bowl very dirty (fecal matter on bowl). Talked to maid staff who said room had not yet been cleaned. Asked to wait another 20 min. while maid cleaned the room. Was front desk problem, not maid staff.
Very friendly staff, great for kiddos, very close to super market and dairy queen Sketchy homeless dude near my car.
Facility, staff & breakfast all fine, but the disappointment is all from walking out to car to find my daughter's bike, which we had secured only with 2 U-locks through the frames and wheels, gone off the rack on the back of the car in the hotel lot. Who'd thought that a bike that survived the harsh environments of Berkeley and SF would be stolen in little peaceful Medford?
Clean, pleasant staff
Friendly staff The toilet was dirty and the walls need better insulation, I could totally hear people above me walking around and it was hard to get rested.
The room was great, the hotel was updated with a great lobby/breakfast set up. The staff were accommodating and nice, and check out was incredibly fast and easy. Our view was te back yard of a house, which meant we constantly had our window shut.
We were on a 3 week trip and stayed at a variety of motels, hotels and inns. For value, this was our best experience. We definitely would check out Hampton Inns on our next trip.
First off this is stay number 3 of 8 hotels during a 2 week, 2500 mile road trip with my family.. This hotel has been by far the best overall expericience for my family stay!! The hotel had that updated/newer feel, customer service in all aspects (front desk/kitchen staff/housekeeping) was outstanding , the spaciousness / cleanliness of the room, and even the food!! Yes the food, we were greeted upon check in with a free pulled pork dinner along with free beverages, even free beer and wine... The breakfast was even better than any other free breakfast that I usual would just skip but I was so impressed with the dinner I had to at least try the breakfast, needless to say it was great!! I felt I needed to leave such a raving review because all I did was read these reviews and hope for the best as there was no particular reason for us to stay in Medford other than it was a stop for the night on 1200 mile trip to Portland..This is a legit A+++ rating for this hotel, for anyone stopping in Medford Oregon this is the best value you will find.... That it wasn't our destination hotel, and we could only stay one night..
The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me and my young children. Breakfast was good quality and very convenient. Location is great, easily accessible from freeway. The faint smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building. The indoor pool was too cold for the kids but the hot tub was too hot!
Service was kind and professional. My kids were welcomed and the room was big enough for personal time. Nothing
Excellent service! Very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and there is access to the courtyard which is convenient for smokers. We stayed in the king suite worth the kids and the pullout sofa bed was perfect for privacy. The kids loved it! The only negative thing I can say about our stay is that unless you get a room hear the courtyard it is a very long walk to the exits.
This hotel is our longtime favorite when going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. It is close to Ashland without their high prices but, with value and luxury combined. If you are there Sun thru Thurs, breakfast and dinner are provided making it a great value.
We were surprised to see that the hotel had a complimentary dinner. There was also a menu in our room's kitchen. The hotel was comfy and inviting with a fireplace and seating area in the entrance. Great location, I was having surgery at the surgery center nearby and it was only a 5 minute drive.
in general, things were fine. i got bug bites.
Stayed at this hotel for a business trip in which attending a conference nearby. Staff was very informative, available & friendly. Convenient shuttle to/from airport. Rooms were clean, spacious & comfortable. Loved being able to make my own tea first thing in the morning without leaving the room. No complaints. It was all good!
The staff was very friendly and informative. The room was clean smelling. The location was easy to find. Would defiantly stay there agian.
Comfy rooms, nice staff, great breakfast!
The staff were very friendly. The location was great and the airport shuttle was there ahead of time which is very comforting at 5:00 in the morning. The room was also very clean. They ran out of cookies before I got to the hotel.
Clean room. Friendly staff Room was recently remodeled and smelled like drag paint and new carpet. very stinky.
No noisy neighbors or machines near my room. Comfy. Clean. My only constructive criticism is that they need to fix the problem of electronic keys not working properly. We were stacked up three deep at one point with various guests trying to get our keys to open the door. It was necessary to have the steady hand of a brain surgeon to move the key the right speed. I had it down by the end of my one-night stay, but it took a LOT of practice.
Clean room and bathroom breakfast eggs are really bad, they were swimming in water.
The room was pretty clean. It didn't have a friendly vibe. The maintenance staff was often less than friendly, though the front desk staff was great. The wifi was so slow that it wasn't worth using. It was alright, but next time I'm in Medford I'll probably look elsewhere.
Clean and spacious suite with good amenities and convenient location. Nothing... everything is great.
The suite style rooms were nice in that it provides good separation of space, even in a relatively small square footage. The fast internet and modern amenities were welcome. The entire hotel was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The advance check-in and texting for updates was nice. The room was ready by 1PM when I arrived, which was awesome. Staff were helpful and the hot tub was welcome. This is my second visit; I would return, especially at this price point. Pool is tiny, and so is the parking lot. At capacity, there was insufficient parking. Prices for the food items and water bottles in the room were outrageous, but that is typical of many hotels ($2.50 for a bottle of water?) The TV quality was notable by it's poor quality. Also, its time to upgrade to Apple Watch or iPhone compatible door locks. Who wants to carry a key anymore?
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend Sovana Inn to any travelers. Best value we found. Room was nicer than many we stayed at for much more money. Can't think of any dislikes.
I liked that there were plenty of towels, wi-fi worked well, there was a freezer in the fridge and it actually froze things, the bottled water left in the room was free. The bed was very comfortable. It had all the basics for pleasant over-night stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I love the vintage furniture with modern updates. The blankets were nice too Kind of annoying you can only turn in from one direction. We had to make a u turn coming from the other way. No big deal though
Older property meticulously maintained. Very very clean. Friendly staff with excellent communications skills.
Clean,convenient to surgery center.
location, King size bed water damage to bathroom floor, walls with poor finish to repair work
Clean room Should cost less and have a lower star level
It's a very nice hotel. We had stayed in a Holiday Express Inn in Mill Valley the week before. It was 3 times as expensive, and not nearly the quality of this one. Nice complimentary breakfast, free parking, and conveniently located & staff is friendly I liked everything.
Convenient location for the sports tournament in Medford. Housekeeping was not well-run. Tiny breakfast room. Breakfast a C-. Room was average. Have stayed at other HOE locations that were much better. Not great value for price.
Room was comfortable quiet and clean. Breakfast needs some work.
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Great complimentary breakfast. Friendly staff. Everything was to my satisfaction.
The check out staff next morning was really helpful and nice but the check in lady on the arrival day was not too nice or I would give 10/10 for staff.
Clean room up to date Gave us a handicapped room with shower seat that had to be moved out of the tub to showers and the shower head would not stay up. We had to hold the shower head the intire time we showered.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
We enjoyed the breaksfast buffett and appreciated the hotel service. the desk when we arrived was very accomodating throughout our stay.10/10 for him.Answered all questions we had about our stay.
Nice variety for breakfast. I was expecting more in the fitness room.
Nice breakfast Over priced for hotel quality. It's an older hotel, ok shape and cleanliness. One, small and slow elevator.
The location was easy to get to things. The Shilo inn all over the country is a respected chain and you can assume it will be decent. Very untrue with this run down and very outdated location. Although the staff was cordial, they obviously did not take pride in where they worked and didn't really care. The hotel was dark, dingy, had an elevator that was ancient and so slow to attempt going 2 floors that we took the stairs. Our room came with 2 mis matched "house keys" which ( along with the crow bar marks on the door jam ) did not make us feel safe. We immediately went out and bought Lysol to disinfect the room. We attempted to find another hotel and we were unable to find one for 2 days. Nevertheless we did not spend any time in the room for relation. This hotel needs a serious upgrade and a little attention to it! Won't ever stay in a Shilo inn again unless I physically see the place instead of going by their " VERY EMBELLISHED " photos. SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATED!!!
I felt like I flashbacked into the 90's...but it was ok. Super friendly service! Garbage left in bathroom can from last visitors.
A touch of old school, water glasses made of glass instead of crappy styrofoam cups was very nice. VERY clean sheets and towels Quiet even though you are just off of the highway Close to the best discount supermarket across the road. Lots of variety at breakfast Dated and run down lobby and walls. Could use a paint job. Doors seemed a little flimsy and still used a solid metal key. Old TVs.
Old, crappy hotel but it was clean. 1985 called, and it wants its curtains and tube tv back.
It was quiet, the staff seemed helpful whenever needed, there are several restaurants walking distance as well as a coffee shop, not far from where we needed to go which was the eye Dr. Great price for a good location. The bathroom needed a better cleaning; maybe spray some bleach on the mold on the walls and sweep the corners better as we found a clump of hair (not ours). Also, my baby found a loose screw on the ground rather quickly, which makes me believe the vacuuming could be better. Also, the curtain broke when I tried to pull it open.
The people working there were great! The facilities were not great!
Sure it's seen better days but it was clean and staff were very accommodating and professional. They were, in a word, nice. And the elevator worked just fine. Needs upgrade to keyless entry. Breakfast was generous but could use fewer packaged carbs, more fresh fruit.
location in dire need of an upgrade
Great staff, very clean and comfortable and a very easy location. The claim to have a spa, the steam room did work, the sauna worked, but the spa was broken, and locked out, and instead of fixing it, they just taped over the word spa on the sign. As a motorcycle rider, the spa was and that i could have mt small dog with me was the reason I chose this location, I was disappointed in that. Other then that, the place was great.
Rooms were updated and clean. Great complimentary hot breakfast. We would stay again and recommend to others traveling through Medford. Pet friendly too :)
Proximity to a park with a walking trail. The hotel put patrons with a big dog next to us when we asked for a quiet room. We could hear the people talking next door and the dog barked a couple of times early in the evening.
We been traveling for a week. Road trip we stop by hotels to get rest heading to Seattle from Los Angeles. In all three hotels we stayed. Best Western is the BEST!. They're really professional, clean, and they provided all we need. We surely keep them in our mind of our next trip. They have good breakfast too.
The kitchenette was perfect. Saved a ton of eating out money...Room was clean and all the staff was friendly.
Such great staff! Very helpful, attentive and pleasant! Nothing!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and were very happy. This hotel is brand new, very clean and the front desk staff was very courteous and friendly. We would definately stay here again.
the mini store no smoking rooms
My studio room was more cozy than spacious but nicely furnished with a great kitchenette that included very nice appliances and was very well stocked. Nice desk area for working. Very nice bathroom area. An airy exercise room with quality, new exercise equipment. My room was right across from the ice machine but the doors and walls are nicely insulated and I didn't hear anything. Staff was very friendly. Walking distance to grocery store and other shopping (like Harry and Davids!) Definitely a good value.
a super place to stay and very good value...stayed several days and found it to be a wonderful location, easy to access, clean, helpful staff, and a great breakfast.
Very clean, very quiet, most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. Would return.
The hotel was clean, the beds were soft and the staff was very nice!
Nice surprises included a dishwasher, a fully stocked supply of dishware, and a large refrigerator in the kitchen. Price is on par with other locations in the area which can be less expensive on a seasonal basis (like Windmill in Ashland). Area is generally safe. Property is adjacent to another Marriott sub-branded hotel. Front desk is friendly and professional.
Hotel employee was awesome. Breakfast was so cutely done and delicious. Great to hear about the history of the house and the area. We went on valentine's day and we loved it so much we want to go every year. N/a
Hostess friendly, knowledgable. Room large, clean, historic. Great breakfast the next morning, and we were on to Portland by 8.30...
nothing about this hotel deserves a compliment The beds were pure torture. Our room did not have any towels or wash cloths when we checked in, and on day 2 had to track down the maids mid afternoon to get towels. Coffee pot did not work, no ironing board, remote for tv did not work, and prices were raised for busy weekend. Not a good deal.
We stayed for 3 days at Medford Inn. It is centrally located from various nice places to visit like Crater Lake, Redwoord national park. The hotel was nice, clean and dirt cheap. It offered great value for money.
Pool and outdoor seating area. Mattress.
The life guard poured chemicals over my son's head while in the hot tub! He was an absolute narcissistic jerk. Will NEVER return here again..
Front staff were very friendly and helpful. Facility was clean. Would stay there again, but would advise they honor their pool/slide hours. We chose this motel for the pool/slide for our son. We were a bit Disappointed in the pool. It would be nice if the slide hours were posted because we were in the pool for 10 minutes then the lifeguard announced he needed to take a break, closing the slide for 20-30 minutes. The pool/jacuzzi hours were posted as 9a-10p, but the lifeguard asked us to get out of the jacuzzi 10 minutes early so he could add chemicals. One morning we had to ask someone to unlock the pool for us, and once again the slide was closed, due to no lifeguard on duty.
Hallway smelled old and smokey
